As a member of the TC Dolyak Protection Society (TCDPS) – I fully support any efforts to annihilate anyone who harms, who willing facilitates the harm of, or does not report the harm of Dolyaks. However, if it was an RP person dressed as an Yak – well, I don’t judge, just sayin’.

Naw, they’re pretty formidable on the field … but lovely people on the forums.
So, on average, you’re saying Kaineng’s players are more skilled than TC’s?
Oh, it’s fairly well established at this point that every server’s players are more skilled than TC’s. We’re really horrible, what with our feng shui siege placement techniques, our ‘all golem defense’ strategies, and building our skill combinations around color coordination in order to get the prettiest visual effects.
Honestly, we’re just dreadful.
So, don’t worry, you can’t possibly lose against us. ‘Cuz that would mean you’re even worse. And that just can’t be possible.

Please tell me some BG who read the forums were out at the NW tower in TCBL last night because oh my god I was laughing so hard I couldn’t concentrate and I hope you were too. We were going to mess around and catapult the tower from under the bridge. Naturally, we were caught, but not before an ele tried to slam into me and went over the cliff instead and died. That would’ve been enough and I’m sorry for my /laugh emote but it was just so amazing. Then I was trying to launch an engi off who was trying to stop us only to have 2 or 3 of my party including me feared off to our demise by a necro from above. As we are lying there dead, not 1, not 2, BUT 3 BG either jumped off on purpose or fell off the same exact cliff around our bodies one at a time. And, of course, died. Ahhh I’ll miss the kitten out of you guys. Serious shenanigans.
This makes me happy.
I play an Elementalist, and I’ve been in a handful engagements in that nook while trying to defend the tower. It goes one of two ways:
1. I’m totally pro and drive the invaders off. Go, me!
2. I’m fantastically derptastic and throw myself off the cliff in some epically ridiculous fashion.
I’m so relieved to see that I’m not alone in experiencing the second scenario.
I wouldn’t completely rule out the possibility of BG also leaving the tier this week. Granted, it’s a long shot right now, but I think it’s still possible. BG’s successfully gone into points-overdrive before, and SoS don’t seem to be doin’ so well.
Well, if you guys do punch out to T1, wish you the best – although if not this week, pretty soon I’m sure. You guys are quite the T2 powerhouse now. Both TC and BG are awesome opponents, tons of class, and the past three weeks have been the best that I’ve spent in WvW. Cheers!

Yes, home border land’s defense can be very frustrating in T2, but try your hands with offensive BLs, your opinion of WvW being boring might change. And you play a thief, one of the funnest profs in WvW, once you get enough experiences you’d be able to pull off some crazy stunts
It’s not boring, really, it’s just that it feels like we’re against impossible odds. I don’t think we are bad by any means at all, we just don’t have the numbers. After a few hours, it starts to feel pointless to try anymore. But try we do.
Part of this is just the nature of the home borderland, where every server is pretty consistently getting double-teamed. Watch the maps and you’ll see that the same thing happens to our opponents as well. TC has to contend with it for longer stretches of time, because we don’t have as much coverage. But Kaineng and Blackgate are not immune to it.
And, honestly, that’s the way it should be. Home borderland is defense-based. If you’re holding your third of the map, you’re doing okay. Anything beyond that is gravy.
Yesterday, I saw one of the best defense performances on TCBL I’ve ever seen. Two huge zergs came at us from both sides, often hitting us at the same time. The assault was near-constant. We’d fend off Blackgate over here, only to have Kaineng immediately hit over there. Then we’d repel Kaineng just in time to have Blackgate back at our door.
Not only did we successfully hold the north through all of this, we also held Hills. It was frantic, crazy and fun. It was also draining. And that’s where the coverage problem comes into play. When those of us who’ve been defending for awhile start to get slap-happy, there’s not enough people to come in and replace us. Things start to unravel.
But again, if all sides are equal, there are 2 invaders for every defender in the home borderland. Defending against superior numbers is what it’s about. If you find that frustrating (and it sure can be), try jumping to another BL or EB, where the gameplay is a bit different.
As for Commanders butting heads, it happens. For us, it’s fairly rare.

Commander Seagel is just the right mix of of bad-kittenry and lulz. I think he represents Blackgate like no other commander could. I vote for Blackgate to keep Commander Seagel.
You could escalate him to the rank of Supreme High Commander, so that he’s on par with Gary Busey.
