Thanks for adding back access back into Citadel ^^.
I miss the crafting stations but pulling them makes sense. Could you please consider putting a Golem banker in Citadel so folks can at least get to inventory.
Right click the guild banker.
and be kittened off its not a personal banker… -.-

Agree totally. Either do to attrition or choice we never have more than a couple folks online at a time when we would want to do missions. Removing the limit would allow us to continue to grow our guild on our schedule.
<3 Darkhaven. The only server I play. Always fun no matter the odds <3
Agree! Please remove the 3 person requirement.
Yes. IT does not need to be a permanent change, just rotate them back,
T5 NA (Small havoc group point of view)
No real change for camp capping since goal was to beat white X anyways.
Lost the ability to draw enemy either for PVP or to distract them. This really changes the game play for our style of havoc. Much of the fun is to misdirect the enemy by false positives on the map as well as bring opposition to you for fights. Also feel like we lost the ability to help main zerg with this style of distraction.
Not much fun shifting to taking undefended structures as its just time and no challenge. Much of what we run into in BLs is paper as defenders are not actively upgrading.
Not much fun focusing on scouting as generally other friendlies were too wide spread to react when problems were discovered. Spent hours mindlessly roaming. Seemed to encounter less enemy in open field.
Finally, looking over the next week to work on new strategy. Use Yaks and guards to replace what we did with white X. Who knows ^^ might be good times.
Same. Thanks for getting the season 2 tournament rewards settled out so quickly.
Same for me. Darkhaven 4th place . Did all achievements. No chest but WvW achievement page shows I received it.
From what I am gathering so far (and thanks for all the input btw), it seems like the main warrior strength is having high durability through innate stats, traits, passive healing and mobility.
This allows the warrior to gear for a happy medium between offense and defense. On one side of the spectrum, you have zerker thieves and Mesmers, who are true glass cannons. On the other you, have the standard (condition) bunker roaming builds. It seems the warrior can effectively split the two instead of going to one extreme or the other.
The weakness comes in when your opponent can counter the strengths listed in the first paragraph then. High poison uptime negates HS sustain. High evasion / blinding negates CC and traits that require a hit (Cleansing Ire). High soft-CC counters mobility.
Does that sound about right? If so, it actually sounds like a well balanced class from a design perspective.
I think you nailed it here. I mostly play warrior in WvW solo/duo roaming. My warrior is all about the look ^^ I pick a weapon set simply because its the look I want and can easily make an effective and fun build for it. Being able to radically change your build from month to month keeps the play fresh. Sadly I have not found this flexibility with other classes as there seems to be only a few strong builds with very specific setups.
For my condi build warrior I focus on torment and tend to be able to keep torment up fairly easily. I used both the torment sigil on LB and the torment rune set on my armour. I have a high crit rate and LB auto attack tends to be enough to keep the torment up. If that fails I either swap to S/S and #4 or close and heal.
For attributes, I focused on rabid and rampager gears/accessories for high crit chance and the condi damage. The sigils on my swords focus on precision/crit rate as do my traits. For food/utilities I bounce between precision and condi dmg.
I would never consider this OP but it is a fun build that suites my play style. It does make opponents squirm, but its not an instant win by a long shot ^^.
I like the idea of awarding strategy over brute force. For me it seems that the simplistic scoring system makes zerging the obvious strategy for maximizing score. If more variables were introduced into how scores are calculated it would create new options for alternate yet affective strategies.
Something as simple as calculating end of round scores biased by what you own in you BL and your section of EB. For example I own 6 towers but do not own 3 of my own towers so I get awarded for 3 towers (same logic for other camps, keeps,…). You now have a choice of how you balance defense over offense.
Other ideas along this line are found in prior posts. I like the idea of biasing awards based on upgrades, duration of ownership, successful defends, … Anything to make the outcome of a round less predictable.
I think there are plenty of opportunities here for tweaking and such changes can be incrementally introduced into WvW to judge the affect.
This weekend has been a blast! I have spent most of the time tending EB Lowlands and the action has been continuous. Although I have seen much more of DR, IoJ been keeping us busy too. GJ to both servers and keep the fun coming.
I saw a nice solution to the AC hack this afternoon at DR Garrison. I big kitten char warrior from HIM jumped down and ate the AC alive. Good job (from DH player) and good battle.
I too am working on a condition warrior that I play in WvWvW. The lack of variety of conditions is the biggest limiting factor for me and sadly limits the type of encounters I can flourish in.
My warrior is sword/warhorn and longbow. I use full Rabid gear (trinket upgrades are Coral since no Rabid upgrade) with Runes of the Undead, Sigil’s of Earth (sword/bow) and a Sigil of Battle on the horn. My spec is currently 0/10/30/30/0 but I have had good luck with stealing from Defense to fatten out either Arms or Discipline. I use Rare Veggie Pizza and Master Tuning Crystals.
The build is strong at funnel points, wall clearing and wall/gate defending, OK at camp clearing (its a bit slow), but lacks in open field encounters or small 1vX encounters. I tend to not have a problem keeping up bleed and burn (even if cleared its easy to restick) but only 2 conditions doesn’t allow for enough damage to be decisive.
I have tried a variety of Sigils to gain additional conditions, but bleeds (Earth) has nice synergy with my traits so I stick with it. For utilities and as an Asura, I have played with Radiation Field (poison and weakness) but the 60s CD makes it impractical to depend on.
Even with the mediocre results on my condition warrior, I have to admit its a blast to play.
I really enjoyed this event and have been back many times. I did it a few times where there was a lot of communication/coordination but mostly chat was silent. I found it easier to just do the ‘right thing’ instead of trying to explain. Most of the times folks caught on and we cleared the event with no problems. I most enjoyed creating walls of ballistas and catapults then training the hoards through them…much death..much fun ^^. I would have preferred to have been able to go in with friends but I still had a good time. I really did not even notice the present boxes until my last few runs, so I would say I was not missing the rewards too much. Anyways, good event!
I had the same problem 3 different times during phase 3 (at steam vents, rock slide and final battle before cut away). I was more lucky in the sense I did get the reward chest as I got back before the cut scene.
To get back to the same overflow I tried the following. Switch to ‘new’ overflow via character select, warp to LH, take ship back to LS. This reliable put me back in the same overflow as my party members.
I am not positive why I got stuck but on each of the 3 times it was after I dodged back against a wall (If it matters I was playing on Asura Guardian). Anyways, hope things get sorted out for you.
Oghier.7419Solved this myself. First, here’s what did not work:
1) Three different browsers on two computers and an Ipad
2) Deleting all cookies
3) Closing all other tabs
4) Trying every day for two weeks
5) Declining the Code of Conduct before accepting itHere’s what did work:
1) Logging into my GW2 account, logging out of it, then logging into the forums
Sheesh.
Thank you! I’ve had the same problem for weeks now and simply logging out of the account page then logging into forums worked like a charm.
