Guild Wars 2

I joined a guild with Final Fantasy XIV ARR (Distant World) and been part of it since March this year. As I was on Underworld (EU) and they on Gates of Madness (US) for GW2 I didn’t want the cost of transfer of £25.50 (£17 for 1600 gems and £8.50 for another 800 as transfer is 1800) so I deleted my lvl 68 Mesmer and 55 Necro.
My problem now is as those characters did every start zone and zones up to 68 for achievements and redoing another character is hard as I seen everything. Would love to see a character restore in the store, I would use it

whats the point of advertising everywere that Winterday is 14th Dec to Jan 03rd yet it doesn’t start till 15th?? someone get the date wrong?

I had a q6600 at stock 2.4ghz, a GTX550Ti with 8gb DDR2, got 17 to 60 fps on PVE but no chance with WvWvW so just ordered an i5 3570K, Gigabyte motherboard, Corsair Vengeance DDR3 and a Geforce GTX660 all for £436.60 delivered. m using same 950w PSU, hard disks and case so hopefully be able to play on highest settings and enjoy WvWvW too

This looked just like my screen once my Geforce 8800GTX died a few years ago. No matter what I did all screens had blocks all over the screen but I couldn’t start a game as it said I had no graphics card so I guess you better send it back for a replacement.

Saying this I’m getting a 660GTX on Tuesday, can’t wait

I would rather be in a guild than not. I get +5% exp, +10% Magic Find and others activated (goes to all members) as the guild grows we get better upgrades.

Yes, same has happened to me a few times using same skill. Also was with water under the map because I was able to swim but not able to break the surface.

Straight after the last patch I logged on and must of killed 15 mobs without any loot. Since then I have had several times where no loot was given up to 10 times in a row. The first time I logged out thinking it was a bug but it carried on when I logged on again.
Today several guild mates asked if anyone else noticed that the loot had been reduced?

So did “We’ve relaxed our anti-exploiting system for loot and events” mean they reduced the amout you would get or is it bugged?

For 3 days these bots are running same path in / out of the cave killing everything they come across. If a foe drops loot they run to it and return to same spot before carying on on their path. They do this over and over and over. Have reported the 3 bots in game each day but nothing has been done.

the bots are 2 x Rangers and 1 either Guardian or Warrior

Sometimes after a fight, my health bubble stays were ever it was after a battle. It stays like that for about 10 minutes before filling up. No conditions are active and even if I fight another the health goes up and down but gets stuck at the finish. It happens about 3 times per day.

All the mmo’s I have played had game GM’s. Many times in Lotro an instance would become blocked as some mob would do nothing or get stuck. We could contact the GM team and within 20 mins they would contact us and reset the mob involved. This would allow us to continue.
In GW2 I have seen many skill challengers not working and events stuck. Would be real good if we had some sort of system like Turbine uses to get these things working.

Is there any way to change my account name (Inserach.7906) I didn’t know this name would be displayed like it does and would like something that means something to my characters. All my characters have the same sirname so I would like it to be that.

I have the same driver for my GTX 550TI (with q6600 at 2.4ghz, 8gb ram) and have no issues (frs 20 to 70+ on near max settings 1920×1200) hoping next driver will be optimised for GW2

Can run near max settings at 1920×1200 and get 20 to 70 fps depending on location. max settings but with reflections off and shadows at medium. Tried WvWvW and with so many people on screen the fps went down to 4 fps so lowered graphics down to minimum but still only got 7 fps. Lowered resolution down to 1024×768 and it still didnt go above 9 at minimum, max was only 15.
My PC is a intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 at 2.4ghz, 8gb DDR2 ram, GTX 550Ti Gpu. Republic of Gamers Asus MB, Windows 7 64bit which is above minimum specs for this game.

Surely minimum specs shown for the game includes all parts of it. I can PVP ok.

Apart from this GW2 is an excellent game and will be playing it a very long time but a shame I can’t do WvWvW

I’m same as you, started 3 characters and enjoying the stories of each of them. I’ve played 155 hours and I’ve only reached 27 as my highest. Also I get 100% completion to an area before I move on to the next. Thanks Arenanet for a great game.

I’m only level 24 but have had a few events not working but no problem with tasks yet. Gold spamming is the worst but it’s the same in other games. I haven’t found a bug that stops me from playing but we are only one month from launch so I’m confident Arenanet will fix them, just hope it’s not going to be too long.

Also 4gb memory will be ok for Guild Wars 2

Most PC’s will have lots of cables not plugged in. A PSU comes with many leads and connections. This allows a PC to work with different amount of devices. If one was meant to be connected either the PC would not boot or a device might be missing (Hard drive or DVD).

Your PC should be fine to play. My CPU is an Intel Quad core q6600 at 2.4ghz, has 8gb memory and same graphics card as yours. I get to run max settings but reflections on none and shaders on medium at 1920×1200 and get 14 to 40 fps (14 when lots of people fighting on screen)

1920×1200 resolution. Max settings with Anti-alaising turned off and shaders on medium. 14 to 30fps (lower when lots of players fighting on screen like in an escort event) On lowest setting on same resolution the fps is only about 10 to 20% extra.

Using Firefox and tonight recieved:

This happened twice, third time I logged in ok

8 to 18 fps Average 11fps, CPU runs at 10 to 30% load (was 90 to 100% in BWE2)

6600 is below minimum spec but tomorrow getting EGVA GTX 550 Ti so will post what I get tomorrow with 1920×1080 resolution
