-Ultralisk (huge hp pool, move fast, not golem obviously),

This has been an incredibly disappointing week. We have a new match-up and yet participation seems to be down.

Not everyone got tranferred yet, according to what someone told me earlier today, but most are on TC.
One of those guilds had their first ‘official WvW day on TC’ today (their words, not mine). They took all of FABL: each keep and tower was green.
They seemed nice, altough not very chatty in /map or /team, but I guess that’s shyness from being new, hehe.

These kitten gem prices with the recent spike have slowed us down, hate to break it to you but that zergball is going to get bigger, very very soon. Muahahah!
I tried to skim for any scheduled fight club nights but i didn’t find any, does this tier of WvW have a specific night for a large fightclub with all 3 servers? Or are they mostly spur the moment ones? For my old tier it was always Thursday nights. Wondering if you guys do anything like that. Thanks!
What’s the highest rank you guys have seen, out of curiosity? I’ve seen one or two footmen and I’m seeing more soldiers and squires, but I don’t think I’ve seen a knight yet.

So i was going to ease myself into the commanding here at Tarnished Coast, but we needed a commander on TCBL and i decided to just go for it. 4 Hours later i have to say this is the most fun WvW i’ve had since release.
TC-The welcome you gave us has been incredible, some of us like myself decided to transfer early because we got a little excited. Your commanders have been nothing but kind and interactive. The pugs are so well disciplined and the upgrades keep coming its a great site to see!
KN/FA-I can’t wait to have more fights with you guys, great competition, and there is never a dull moment.
NAGA wil slowly be transferring throughout the week so you can only expect more from us!

Put a mini pet in the store that sells for 2k gems. This mini pet picks up all your bags automagically. You would have a gold mine with this.

I will still have fun no matter what tier we end up at, and I hardly ever saw any awe, esf or naga at US primetime so that wont make much of a difference. If anything we drop one tier and steamroll the other servers all the time
Correct, TC needs oceanic presence their NA is solid or at least stable the 3 guilds you mentioned are oceanic guilds with very small <10 members on, during NA primetime. It really wont be that significant of a change for alot of the NA’ers. The only difference is there will be more to take back in the morning, which means more juicy wxp/karma. ;D
This is NOT some mass exodus so there should not be too much to worry about. Alot of people are looking at this the wrong way. Im assuming most people are from the NA times that post here (basing it off of guild tags i see on your signatures) i dont think you’ll see that much of a difference, by the time your home from school/work/what have you, the people you see transferring have logged for the day a while ago.

Well, this week was the most fun I’ve had in a while since , except for a small period of time, no one has overwhelming numbers most of the time. Hopefully it stays like this next week even though we have another 3 guilds leaving to TC.

Naga, Awe, and EsF. At this point with so many guilds that had left CD, you guys included too, I don’t find myself surprised or anything at their leaving. Just don’t like their choice of TC since it was KH leaving to TC that lead to the exodus right before the free transfers end. That and a guys from TC posted on our forums a mini essay that talked a bit on how the transfers will benefit them amongst other things. Gee, is that supposed to make us feel better? You guys benefit but at the cost of CD, the mostly balanced matchup in T4, and the really balanced matchup in T2.
For me personally out of every server asking for oceanic presence, TC was the only server to come to myself, and a lot of my other guildies personally and ask for us to transfer.

Oh My God, wow i think i love you Crystal Desert guys. Constantly during oceanic primetime we were prodding CD to come out and have some open field fights with us with no answer back, but once they responded they responded in force. Creating this super massive Server V Server with siege warfare in open field fights. Probably the most fun i’ve had in WvW in a very very long time. definintly the best fight i’ve had. I suggest we do this every night lol and SBI you’re welcome aswell lets see how you open field fight tactics are.
Come to EB in the earlier NA times, or late oceanic times when they are about to log. We had the one “final” push before logging off which turned into a 3 way server battle for a good 20 minutes around the front of SBI’s keep which then went to Durios and finally ended with a last stand at Umberglade.
Mags like to distract players with fightclub; so not everyone gets to participate in getting better scores at WVW. Then again, it was fun fighting them. Very strong ground forces, but very … weird forum warriors.
We’re doing a fight club while 2nd in ppt/score vs the 3rd place in ppt/score while the 1st goes all tryhard. We just like to pvp. Maybe CD will have fun one day~
Those fight clubs were the only reason i logged on after my Thursday shift. All you forum warriors were pretty awesome in game, had some great chats and even greater duels.
Although it is funny that you guys are still posting in here. Leave us alone maguuma! :P

Are you talking about last nights Garrison, 12AM EST. time? I was commanding and i just couldn’t crack your defense. I think our numbers were similar, if its the same case tonight ill be there again it was fun back and forth from garrison to cliffside!
I was there, last night. We eventually lost it because we got bored of farming you guys. We’d been there about 6-7 hours at that point, and only really had four or five good fights. Most everyone, myself included, cleared out at around midnight. I heard we lost the garrison after that, but it didn’t really bother me.
Ya’ll need to work on your open field so we can have better fights.
Do any of you ever have something constructive to actually say? We get it you guys were farming us. We get it you guys were there for a while. We get it you got bored. Sorry some fights weren’t up to your godly WvW standards…Honestly its starting to get old. Just wanted to talk about your defense/our offense.
Our defense was lazy and sloppy. We had 10-15 people most of the night. We would push out, and kill 3 or 4 people, then you would all run away. It was frustrating because we just wanted some fights.
Here’s some suggestions… Use misdirection. You could have sent 5 people to cap east keep, make us respond, and bum rush the garrison. Or vice versa, you could have left 3 people at your tower and taken east quickly.
You could have built a slightly closer open field treb to hit our inner wall, instead of running into a breach defended by people you knew could easily kill you.
I’m the open field, try might stacking, area stability, and moving FORWARD as a group. If you let yourself get pushed, you will die. You cannot just back up or stand still.
As for commanding, bring trays of food for your players. That way, they’ll be a bit stronger in straight up fights and like you a bit more.
Also, supply. That tower was sieged up enough that 3 people could have held it. Use your other 15 to take camps, come back, build open field trebs or other siege, and move up slowly that way.

My EB JP consists of waiting to see if a mesmer will say “porting in JP” in map chat, (while actually benefiting my server by joining them on the front, yes i had to poke at you JP campers ;D ) then enter JP, get portal, acquire chest loot, leave.
I’ve always loved this excuse for ignorance, heard it WAY too many times on the forums. I don’t JP camp or even do any JPs and I know about the three fountains. I understand you were just trying to make a poke at others for knowing more information than you but knowledge is one of your greatest assets in war. Whether it’s PvE or PvP war.
No. I really didn’t know about the 3 fountains. You misinterpreted what i wrote. The only thing i was poking at is anyone who complains about the JP, and anyone who wastes map space camping it. Siege is great but doesn’t mean nothing if half your ma kitten itting idle waiting for that ONE glorious kill that takes little to no skill because you either had the element of surprise or the element of 5 other guys with you. (being on Crystal Desert we need every body we can get). I honestly had no idea about the other fountains.
I think its a great addition to WvW however for this reason. It always brings out the biggest trakittenalkers on servers. SO many party invites from raging players, the one time i was personally attacked via whispers from some invader its very amusing. It may sound contradicting but i’ll head down there from time to time because WvW can get stale but my main gripe is people who dedicate their entire playtime to it. But hey, to each his own.

As a avid WvW’er myself what has kept me going was leveling all 8 professions, then swapping them out for different styles of play.
-One day command the zerg on my bunker ele
-Few hours later do some roaming on my theif
-Further down the line, flip camps with some guildies on my guardian
-Spec into max range glass cannon longbow ranger. (Fun snipes pre quickness nerf)
etc, etc.
Saw your an engi, sometimes i like to spec mine fully into grenades and single-handedly hold off invaders from keep walls and offer great DPS into big zerg fights from range. Just to mix it up.

On the subject of elixirs, is it just me or does Elixir U never actually give you quickness but it has no problem going on its cool down when you use it? I have to be completely still not doing anything to actually get its buff.

I finished leveling my engineer and its got to be my favorite class out of all 8. However i feel like i’m forced to spec into grenades to offer any good DPS or support for my group. (going to make this my fractal guy). I want to use my rifle and only that or at least use a different kit for a few seconds. But to have any benefit to my group i feel like i must always have my grenade kit on. Is there any other viable builds to look into or any advice to give me? ( i heard turrets are just awful).
