I really really really hate how when you port onto the ship, you often end up dead due to a laser beam attack hitting you before you’ve even loaded. This is ridiculous, since getting downed pretty much nullifies the chance of you getting the In Tune and No More Tricks Scarlet achievements. Why isn’t there some sort of invuln when you port in? I’ve tried waiting a little bit before entering the portal but that increases the chance of ending up in a half empty arena.
Well I’m from Durban as well, seems odd that we have to jump through hoops to get the game to work.. Hope they address this. After leaving the launcher on the whole of last night it eventually downloaded. But of course whenever there is a hotfix I’m faced with the same problem again. Will give the DNS change a go, thanks for all the replies

This is getting beyond frustrating now. Ever since the Origin of Madness patch its close to impossible to update the client. Not only is the download incredibly slow, majority of the time it sits at “0Kb/sec”. In previous updates it was possible to continuously open and close the launcher and it would eventually update. But this time around that doesn’t even work. Spent the last three hours doing this, cannot even get to the patch download. When are you going to acknowledge this issue? It may only affect the minority of people, but the game is now unplayable for some. Please do something about this.
I agree undercutting isn’t good either, we have always sold at 15g, never use any exploits or skips, we kill every boss as normal, as far as I know we were the only group selling at the time, we weren’t undercutting anyone, but this person decided to ruin our instance anyway. I think I’ll steer away from the LFG tool for now, too risky to try sell.
I don’t even know how it is up to one self-allocated person who can now dictate what price to sell at, and this must apply to everyone, on every EU server at least. Crazy. I reported them for abusing the LFG tool, but 99% sure nothing will ever happen to them. They actually told me that it’s Anet’s fault for allowing such a bug, and I agree and am quite appalled that they can turn such a blind eye to an actual game-breaking bug that can ruin anyone’s dungeon group, but apparently that makes it ok to abuse it as much as possible?
The exact same thing just happened to 3 of us trying to sell Arah path 4. One of us got a whisper from a certain person who is known for destroying instances, but unfortunately I cannot name and shame. They “warned” us that we cannot sell p4 at 15g, I noticed another group was selling at 18g at the time. A few minutes later, someone joined our party, and merged us with another party selling path 2. So our instance was destroyed by some random person, and we could do absolutely nothing about it. We got another whisper saying “I warned you last week that you can only sell at the agreed upon 18gold for path 4 only”. Not only were we not even selling last week, but what the actual kitten is that? So now there’s one person who decides what price we can sell for? And if you don’t comply with the “agreed upon” rate they destroy your instance. Honestly so angry that Anet can allow such a stupid bug to persist for so long. I don’t even think they are doing anything about it. It’s just safer to stick to the LFG website because you are completely vulnerable due to ANYONE being able to destroy the instance YOU created. Please tell me how genius this merge option is.
Bolt has many bugs which is pretty sad since its a legendary weapon thats been out since launch, the last legendary patch didn’t fix any of these issues either.

I noticed that if you have Effect LOD selected under the graphics options a lot of the legendary effects just disappear. On my Incinerator the flame on my arm disappears fi I have that option selected
Still no kittening reply from a dev. Really starting to think that they could care less about these “promised” updates. They don’t care

I agree that the lag is out of control. Everyday now, all I ever see is the people around me teleporting around, terrible skill delay all the time.
I had a very weird experience in AC path 2 the other day. We were all waiting by the traps, but we couldnt find detha, she hadn’t followed any of us. So 4 of my party members went to go look for her while I waited by the traps. They found her randomly attacking a graveling on the other side of the map, but she wouldnt stop.
Eventually I started running around and I suddenly took damage and got knocked down and killed. I then realised that I had lagged so badly that for the last 10 minutes I had been standing next to Detha on the other side of the map, even though my whole party said they saw me standing at the traps. I’m surprised I didn’t even DC. I had no skill lag whatsoever but the server picked up that I wasn’t where I thought I was.
That was the most extreme experience I’ve seen lately, but there is undeniable skill lag, random dc’s all the time, rubberbanding etc. And only since the SAB patch has it appeared for me.
Still no reply from a dev :/ starting to lose hope in this being a mistake
What I don’t like is that Incinerator has 2 types of footsteps. One of them, last about 0.5 seconds and is barely noticeable. I wish they’d just remove it and make all the footfalls last the same amount of time.
Unfortunately greatswords get all the love in this game. Most weapons will never come close.
No, the point is, i made Incinerator because I liked it, but when Anet promises an improvement to it, and they don’t do it, it’s rather disappointing. It could always be made better
I’ve been walking around looking at Incinerators footsteps for a good half an hour now, and I’ve noticed that when the weapon is sheathed the footsteps “appear” every so slightly bigger and brighter are more even spaced out and possibly last a a fraction of a second longer , but as soon as the weapon is drawn they appear smaller, more dull, very close together and they seem to disappear a lot faster. I don’t know if I’m just going to crazy or not but it seems like if there was a change at all it only works when the weapon is sheathed. Which is the most kittened thing I’ve ever seen. It has to be bugged.

Completely agree with OP. I mean I love Incinerator, which is why I made it in the first place but I was really looking forward to this update which claimed thakittens footfalls would be made bigger which would really improve it. But I don’t see any change at all. Either Anet is pulling our legs or its bugged or something went wrong in the update. But there still hasn’t been a reply from a dev whether this is intended or not.
For Incinerator, which has 2 different types of footfalls. One that lasts about 1.5 seconds and one that lasts 0.5 seconds. I wish they’d just remove the latter, and make them better. Would improve it so much

Been 2 hotfixes so far, still nothing. No reply from devs either.
I’ve looked at quite a few legendarys and noticed a lot of them did not get their promised updates. I have a friend with moot, he says there isn’t much of a difference, footfalls are the same. Bolt, Incinerator, Rodgort and a few others were promised larger or better footfalls but there is no difference at all.
They kittened us over with the promise of better footfalls oh well

I’m not sure but Legendarys such as Bifrost, The Dreamer, Meterologicus, Eternity etc all got their updates, but it seems the others who were meant to receive subtle changes didn’t get them at all. I’m hoping its a bug

Really disappointed about the hope the devs gave us that most legendary weapons would have bigger and better footfall effects, but I don’t see any change. I don’t know if this is a bug or if they intended the change to be so minor that you can’t even tell the difference.

But they look exactly the same?
So much for “better footfalls”. So disappointed. Was hoping my tiny little flame footsteps that last less than 2 seconds would become a little more impressive. They lied :/
Third time I’m posting this. Please fix the incorrect sheathing animation for the Aether shortbow and Azureflame longbow. The bow sits too high when sheathed, it is also worse on every other race in comparison to humans. This bug has been around since day one, which mean for a whole year now, and it has not been addressed although reported numerous times. These weapons are really expensive to make due to requiring a gift of light. Please fix it soon its starting to ruin the weapon for me.
Aether and Azureflame have had this incorrect position on the back when sheathed since launch. 10 months now and it has not been fixed. Both weapons are very expensive to make and it’s a shame that something so small just ruins it. Been waiting ages now to make Aether but until it’s fixed I can’t because it looks so odd. Hope it gets fixed eventually. Also, for some reason, it looks worse on my norn than on my human character.
Super Longbow Skin

I just got the super longbow skin which I love, but I noticed while firing arrows with the bow, the glowing/animation doesnt bend with the bow, and after attacking for a few seconds, the animations disappears and then reappears periodically. It’s a shame because I love the animation of this bow and it would be great if it worked in combat. See attached screenshots (last screenshot is what it should look like in combat)

Armor: All quivers, including the new one worn by RoxQuivers hover very far away from the backs of Charr. A slight bit of hovering is understandable and okay, but these things are in orbit. It completely ruins them. I’ve only got a screenshot of the preview window, but it seems 100% accurate to the actual in-game Charr I’ve seen using these.
Considering the same thing happens for Rox, it’s safe to say female Charr are not immune to this issue either.
Sorry for the double post but I have also noticed this issue after recently making my quiver. Also, when my charr runs with his weapon unsheathed, the angle at which the quiver rests on the back changes and looks rather silly as half of it is floating off of the back, but as soon as I stop running the quiver comes back down again. See images below.

Armor: Charr Cultural Tier 3 Heavy ArmorIt may be hard to see in my screenshot but the metallic/shiny pieces of the Charr T3 Cultural Armor set (the helmet, greaves, and skirt) are now a dull solid makeup similar to cloth and leather pieces. This happened after today’s patch on 3/26/13.
The difference is very apparent when comparing the armor in the Hero tab and from my character in the world. After talking to many Charrs in Lion’s arch and guild members with the same armor we all acknowledged the difference.
If you guys could take a look that’d be great! Thank you in advance!!
I can confirm this, the charr heavy tier 3 has lost its shininess hope it can be reverted to its former glory as it is a rather expensive set to purchase.
With the recent patch, greatswords on charr when holstered have been placed differently, the greatsword is now so far down the back it clips into the ground. Also, while running, the greatsword does this weird movement where it seems to move backwards and forwards :/ it looks terrible and I hope it will be looked at.
I do agree that the corrupted shortbow could use a bit more of a glow like the other weapons. Compare the bow to the greatsword and even though they are worth just about the same amount of gold, the shortbow is certainly lacking a bit. Also, after having the shortbow’s size altered, the top part of the bow with the little bit of glow is hidden in my character’s hair and I can’t really see it which sucks just a little bit.

I just have to say thank you to Linsey for hearing our complaints and making changes so quickly I for one was extremely upset about the bow and am so happy that a change was made. Thank you!
This thread is going to rot away in suggestions now :/. Just going to have to look for a better bow to craft..
Please tell why as of the patch yesterday that the Corrupted shortbow looks like this? I’m a little horrified that a bow that requires 30 corrupted lodestones to be crafting, has such an appalling appearance in comparison to let’s say the Corrupted greatsword. Please change it back to the way it used to be, not this pathetic excuse for a weapon which is selling for 60+gold on the TP. (second picture is pre-patch)
Right now that bow costs 63g on the TP. Who would pay that for such a kittenty looking bow.
