bump no body knows?

So i never had this issue until last patch. Seems like everytime i do press Left Control Key + SpaceBar together, i symbol pops on my chatbar (it’s an A embedded inside a white square) pressing the same combination of keys won’t work, and it doesn’t allows me to type anymore in any of the chat channels, neither type for stuff on Bazar, to fix it, i gotta close the client and open it again. I tried to check if it had something to do with the keyboard language switch from W7 but i had nothing there that points out to the Control keys or Spacebar.

I’d like the BB who were on AG BL at reset to clear something up for me. Were you attacking garrison and legging it as soon as defence turned up as a delaying tactic or did you just not want to fight? If it was a delaying tactic fair play, if you just didn’t want to fight then seriously, wtf? Had superior numbers several times and still bugged out rather than fight!

There is something i really hate about my server BB. A lot of players seems to be unexperienced, or just too afraid to fight, unless they are in a 3:1-4:1 situation (no kidding). I’ve saw fights were we could have clearly win, but instead they did chose to run away, thus allowing you guys to chase and charge in and kill em slowly while they keep retreating as rats. As a BB player, i must say that some of these things are half true. It’s true that BB is running usually zergs on all the maps in WWW, but so do AG (specially) and occasionally Gandara.

I am one of those roamers that choose not to stick to zergs, because they’re boring, not tactical, mindless, lagfests in general, and i don’t really enjoying blowing my autoattack key to kill some random dude that is falling apart and i am not even aware of where is dying.

Lately since the last WWW change, i been joining WWW less and less time, i usually come across Zergs, or groups or 10+ people…. It’s so rare the case of spotting soloers, or roamers, but it still might happen.

If someone comes across the way of a female Norn Engineer from the Vaeringjar guild, you will prolly see me alone, or with 2-3 couple fellow guildies, its rare the case i am in bigger numbers. And… to the AG complaining that BB got no skills, i must say that 95% of the duels against AG players were piece of cake (talking about 1on1’s) were Gandara proved me to be a little more skilled when it came to that situation…

Less zerging, and more tactical fights, small grouping, and fun fights….. Mindless Zergfests are so boring.

They could implement the RIFT system. It happens with events/pvp. When you kill someone or you defeat an event. You’re presented with a chest to the right of your screen which contains all the drop you’re getting from those events/players you killed. Then all you have to do is after you’re done, got your bags ready, empty, etc, you just can click the chest and collect everything. It would be much easier that way.

Gw2 is more Retro than Daoc actually. Let me explain in a few points.

1) 3 realm vs 1 realm (check)
2) 46 Unique Classes vs 8 mirror classes (check)
3) 18 races different racial stats vs 5 races with elite racials that no one uses (check)
4) Wide Frontiers vs Tight Instanced Frontiers (check)
5) Real Large Scale Combats +600 players without lag vs 180(max) with lag (check)
6) Small Groups/Scouts/Infiltrators rewarded vs Zergfesting rewards (check)
7) Real PvP Progression (ie. more skills, stats, abilities) vs 5% to siege/guards?? (check)

I could list more but then some people would begin to cry that i am a fanboy. I am not a fanboy of Daoc. I am just a player that had the chance to play on so many games, and i never came across to the experience Daoc provided to me, and i know a lot of people does agree. You just need to look in the Facebook how many Daoc groups does still exist, and how many people is hoping/waiting Daoc 2 will make it back strong as ever.

The only game that made it close to Daoc in the sense of Realm Ranks progression was Rift. And i believe that game will get better with the time, and add more cool features that will make it worth it to play also.

Anyways while i write this, i log in everyday at Gw2, do my dailies, play PvP, run some dungeons, and help the newcomers, hoping that things will get better, but lets be blunt. 90% of the veterans on my guild (which are not Daoc players) believes this game needs a big change, and encourage more the small group, to promote a better PvP system, a PvP that encourages you to keep playing the game… Because, without high end PvE content, in the end, it just becomes a repetitive task….

I could care less about wearing a Legendary that half server can wear. I could care less about leveling an alt, because besides the Engineer, Necro and Mesmer, i believe the other classes aren’t that fun at all, and anyways leveling here to 80 can be done in 1 day also.

I just want… PvP Progression, Stop the mirror classes, give us more factions, give us wide combat places, gives us a PvP Dungeon, give us more characters to create, give us the chance to roll imba characters that can be only stopped against a group or a single skilled person. Give me the feeling than when i am 80 Orr its like a piece of cake, because i earned, because i have the best gear, because i got hands and skills, thus all of this is limited by a poor system that discourages solo players of feeling powerful at all.

Daoc was a group based game too, but trust me, even solo, you did feel that you could accomplish so much more than in here. Anyways…. If someone did happen to read all this, congratulations, no more boring lines to add besides this. I’ll keep playing GW2 until my mates decide it’s time to move, or Daoc resurrects and then i’ll know i will move in heartbeat. Just wish Gw2 did listen more to players and they do accept that some of the playerbase has better idea of what the devs are doing at the moment.

Favorite thing about DAOC was the guild cloaks and unity in RvR. Chat spam in PVE Land when any of the keeps were taken in the frontiers. Chat spam when one of your guild’s claimed keeps was under attack and by how many in the area. Stealther wars and stealthers providing intell to the zerg. Jeez, perma stealth in general.. bring it back , it can still be done correctly. Hard CC’s, hard interupts, speed classes… too much to go on about.

How much i miss those cloaks!!!! And the sense of REALM and UNION…. Here everyone seems to be anonymous…. Or those who claim to be commander, are just some random dude that paid up 100g to have that icon upon their heads. Lol

Heh i played as alb on Perc! Good times and yeah i feel the same nostalgia. Then i moved onto Mordred just to find it was way more fun to be able to get access to the 3 realms and PvP just everywhere. Finally moved onto other games, cause our GM had RL issues, and also we had a few members gone. Anyways… Long Live Daoc, and those who truly played the game, God Bless them. They happened to experience the best

3 realms > 1 realm
46 classess > 8 classes
Defined Solid Classes > Hybrid Kitten I can do everything classes
Realm Rank System > kitten +5% dmg vs guards system pukes
PvP Dungeon > What no PvP Dungeons here?
Mordred PvP Server > No open PvP servers
Did i mention that i had 46 unique classes to play which? > Mirror Opponents
Small Group Play > Zergfests
Relics > Stonemist
Melee/Caster System > I dodge 3 times every 6.xxs at much…
Chain Combos > I press 1,2,3 and i wait for CD’s to be up…

There is not much else to say, but i could keep going on. DAOC wasn’t nearly perfect, it could have grown even bigger than it was already to me. Actually those who claim that DAOC was a big grind. Either they didn’t have friends, or they didn’t for sure know how to ‘grind’, because everytime i would go for a new alt, it just took me 1-2 days at max to hit 50.

Sure the first year of the game did suck compared to GW2 i am not going to deny that. But seriously….. I wonder why they didn’t take some of those features i mentioned above, because that what made DAOC so great, and it will be always in my heart.

PS: Oh and by the way, for those who were complaining about how HARD it was to attain gear on DAOC.

First off, so you want to hit 50 and get the perfect gear? You want to be the king? Earn it then!

2nd thing… In Daoc you could customize your stats to the extreme, making your own templates to your liking.

Daoc was meant for players, that liked to play games, not for ‘casuals’ that buys games just because they’re the fashion of the moment… Casuals ruins the games, pick another fashion and leave the real players build up great games.

I wasn’t trying to be rude. In fact i asked politely!! I play on EU but i don’t know every server name of my region. The simple fact of adding the region server could save sometime to those looking for the temple heh.

I’ll make it quick here…. Been doing my PvE dailies as usual…. It’s been 29 days to be exact…. I’ve got the coin and the jar of karma nothing else… Its just as intended?? All of sudden from getting 1 item every 1-3 days…. 0 items in almost 1 month…

Korrupt Kitten, listen to me, and calm down, ok buddy? I been recently unbanned from the game due to an human mistake. I am Spanish so i can’t tell at all if your name sounds racist or not. In all case, all you can do its to send the ticket to the support, and just wait.

Just send one buddy, and don’t spam them with several tickets, it just will slow it down. And now just take it easy, be patient. In my case i been banned for 3 days, but well i am back because i am innocent. I know the fustration, but that’s all you can do at the moment.

If my actions were flagged as suspicious. Then this means, i can’t trade my items in the TP anymore? I mean, let me explain myself.

Lately my strat to make money has been buying ingredients via the TP in big bulks via the order option the TP provides. When i bought those ingredients, all i been doing is craft food/consumables to sell them later in the TP for profit.

2nd thing is.. All the money i’ve raised was used to upgrade my account, via bank slots, bag slots (in fact i recently leveled up my 2nd 80) an Engineer which was the one character i was using to engage in such trades.

3rd thing… Goldsellers does care about fractals, daily pvps, www, and dungeons? I am not trying to be sarcastic or ironic. But whoever reviewed this information (if it was an human being) might need to learn a bit more about what the players does in they day by day in this game. I personally enjoy all the aspects of the game, and i run all sort of content PvE and PvP. I am the sort of farmer person also. I love going to Orr and spend some hours killing in the events, for mats to craft or sell or help my guildmates for their legendaries.

4th thing. And finally for the last, I suspect someone did report me while i was at Lion’s Arch trying to sell some of my stuff via the General Chat. I know this practice isn’t bannable/illegal either common, but at this point is when after like 20-30mins i’ve got ban.

Anyways…. After what happend i am sure i am not going to risk myself into being falsely reported again. So i’d like to know if my behaviour looks like the one of a Gold Seller, because if it is, then tell me what i can and what i can’t do in order to not be banned again. Because i can’t understand which ones of those actions raised that flag up. And please, again this is not a rage post, or ironic/sarcastic. I want to know this, because i still don’t understand why my behavoiur isn’t one of a normal player/human being.

I didn’t expect an answer at all after my experience i just wanted to share my thoughts on the process they made, so they correct their mistakes, and become a better Support Team. I just don’t wish anyone else happens to be wrongfully banned.

I am not here to rant and rage/discuss with any of the mods. I’ll just post a brief reflexion about what happened to me. I been falsely accused of RMT while i was doing my normal gaming on GW2. Luckily i’ve got unban after 36 hours (without hearing a single word from any of the support) but just an automated message that left me wondering if they ever were taking into account my case.

1st) You should warn/investigate people before a BAN. The damage is done, and now i don’t trust GW2. I am back, but now i am afraid of doing about just anything of the usual things i used to do in game.

2nd) The harm you caused to me, treating me as a criminal, without any single proof of desbelief. I have also no compensation for the 3 laurels i missed during the dailies, the money i would have got in my typical daily fractal/dungeons, the glory i would have get on my PVP daily, the karma/insignias i would have get on PVP. The MONEY i LOST cause i couldn’t trade in time the items i had on the TP.

3rd) No one but the Support Team that assists you, apogolizes, but its not even an human being message, its just an automatized one. There is also one last thing. The missinformation. No one told me why the ‘system’ thought i did RMT… Did i need to get reported in order to be banned? If i got reported, those that falsely reported me are going to get ban as long as i did? That would be the least of the things you could to repair the harm you have done to me.

You’re the few i saw that doesn’t does that kind of stuff. I don’t need/want help, i can take and face the fact that i am not alone and i can get ganked even when i think i am just doing an 1on1. But this last time, it was so obvious i just wanted to kick their kitten in real life XD. I was just facing a D/D bunker, and i was winning the match. He was at 5% hp, he pops fog, gets away, i jump after then all of sudden i get basilisk poison, and.. Surprise! a Riverside Thief attacking me.. I manage to dodge him, i beat him down to 10%hp then he pops stealth… Then all of sudden the elementalist shows up again, i turn my back and try to run, but the rogue does backstab me.. And guess what happens? He steps to a side, so the elementalist could just finish me off, then they just did salute each other, and got away.

It’s not a secret that some if not the vast majority of Riverside players, helps Aurora Glade players that are engaged against Baruch Bay ones. I am from Baruch Bay myself, i love to roam around on my own with my Engineer. I love dueling, and spreading love around, but lately i been finding myself struggling during this week just because these 2 servers are helping each other. Pretty sad you engage when im figthing with someone from the opposing faction and you clearly help him, letting him finish me off and then get away. Just an advice: “L2P”.
