Hi, I just bought GW EotN to unlock Fiery GS.
I have a bunch of Mini pets but when I go to Hall of Monuments in GW1, I can’t apply them to get points (When I talk to Devotion Statue, there is NOT an option to register the pets.)
Is this feature locked in GW1 as well or am I doing something wrong?

With the upcoming changes and the nerf to crit dmg, I see a lot of outrage from the community. I think ANet got it wrong of how to make people run less of Zerker gears.
Currently all mobs + bosses in game attack rate are way too low ( like 2 seconds per attack ) and deal large chunk of damage. The AIs are stupid too, they stand in 1 place and have 1, 2 skills. For these reasons, people go zerk because 1 attack per 2 seconds is way too slow and predictable, dodge/invul/evade became OP and only zerker gears are needed.
A quick fix for the game is:
- First: make all mobs attack 2 times faster, less predictable while reduce the damage in half. Hell, I even say make them as fast a real player would and reduce the damage accordingly.
- Second: enemies need to be smarter and move around in the fight. For examples: Give melee mobs faster move speed or a gap closer skill, make all mobs aware of the surrounding and not stand in AOE/burst.
These 2 changes would promote more variety types of gears/builds because now you can’t dodge/evade all damages + can’t burst down mobs as quick.

To a larger extend, I believe doing this would make it easier to balance PvE, WvW and PvP contents. Now mobs are more like real players and not stupid and slow.

Worst: Dredge, even Harpy is much much less annoying than Dredges
Everything else is fine.

nope, more dredges are added in the beginnings and more are spawn at bomb sections. To make it even better, they aggro chase you for half the map.

Please, ANET, make it LONG-MEDIUM-SHORT. I’m on my knees begging

If you get Dredge Fractal, then it’s a waste of time. Else it is great

Okay. I think I got it. ‘dig cligate.101.NCPlatform.net’ on my machine yields 209.204.190.68. This isn’t the right IP. It’s the IP for dns-blocked.sonic.net.

1. Fill out the form on cligate.101.NCPlatform.net (it will only appear for sonic.net users) or
2. Change your dns server to 8.8.8.8

I have OS X and Windows on the same computer. It connected under OS X but still does not on Windows. My problems also started around 10 PM PST.

I’m running the client with -repair now to see if something was corrupted, but I doubt that’s it. Most odd.

Are you living in San Francisco and use Sonic.net for internet?

Wow. Yes, I am. That’s a little creepy.

Anyway, I could connect by rebooting into OS X and using my Mac client on the same computer. Maybe the mac client uses different servers, though.

Tested using wifi tether connection of my mobile phone and it worked. It looks like a either home network issue or ISP issue. Sad thing I can’t play on my phone’s 3G network. I have limited data

Update:
Tried the clientport method. Result: another 42 error.
Renewed my WAN IP and Authenticate with email again. Result: same error.
No GW2 for me , sigh

Curiously enough, booting from Windows into OS X on the same machine (with the same ip after the restart) my OS X client can connect just fine.

So does it work on Windows? I have 1 Windows machine and 1 Macbook Pro. Both had error 42 since 10pm PST. I don’t know what happened

Biggest waste of time, I tried for 5 hours on Adnul with various strats then decided the achievement is not worth it.

I hate the freaking Norm NPC. I tried for hours and hours. Most of the time, he has perfect timing on my water. He doesn’t take much dmg from drinking. The closest I got him down was 20% then he started his perfect water interrupt timing + prevent bluff. This is so rigged.

yes, I want Linux client as well since I want to switch to full time Linux.
