Her being a ranger wasn’t the point I was making. The point of her being descent from Rangers was their use of bows. A warrior can also wield a longbow (yes I know that’s not the same as a short bow but a bow nonetheless). And while she may not have a direct relation to Elona, what she did in her life does relate to Elona. She was a renegade which is a person who deserts and betrays an organization, country, or set of principles. By that definition, any person who is willing to go against Palawa Joko in hopes of a better future/life is doing just as Kalla did.
Granted the statue does show her wielding a greatsword, but lore wise a bow for her does fit. Her grandfather (Pyre Fierceshot) and great grandfather (Vatlaaw Doomtooth) were both Rangers that used bows.
There is an NPC you can talk to in the map and he states that the gods could not entirely wipe out Abaddons presence there because of the grid of ley energy. If they destroyed Abaddons reliquary, they would effectively destroy their own. The conversation follows along those lines.
I don’t know where I read this but I’m certain I saw somewhere that the sylvari based their appearance off of Ronan and that’s why they look so much like humans.
Ok i had the Fractal hammer, pistol, torch. warhorn, and mace(can see three of them in my inventory) before heart of thorns and once this collection was added it only gave me credit for pistol scepter and torch. If u look in my wardrobe i dont even have scepter in there and have nvr gotten one? This happen to anyone else?
I don’t think Eir is dead….. most likely Braham has found her bow among the wreckage and assumes the worse. Thats my guess and i feel this way cause i dont think they would start killing off all of Destinys Edge….
Im thinking that the weapon the warrior elite spec could get is offhand pistol. I mostly say this because anet had said that trahearne using a greatsword was a bit of foreshadowing for the necro elite spec and when Rytlock was a warrior he used to use an offhand pistol. Might be a long shot but thoughts?
There will always be some issues with clipping….besides guild capes were awesome. They were a great way to show off and rep ur guild and gw1 players would love the throback to gw1.
I would think that the baby would be like Glint in that, its body appears corrupted due to its affiliation with Glint and the Kralkatorik but like Glint, its mind would remain free based on how its influenced early on in its life.
I could see Rurick as a good possibility so Rytlock can use that as a way to finish the Foefire cleansing….thoughts? Also, the 2 legends of old that we know about that the revenant can use are/were great leaders. This would also include Rurick then
As for the egg, my theory is that she is hoping to hatch it. Her Wyld Hunt is to kill one of the Elder Dragons and in hatching that egg, I think she is hoping to take out the ED and fulfill her Wyld Hunt.
Keep in mind though that her wyld hunt was to kill the Elder dragon Zhaitan….not just any elder dragon.
I believe its just a easier and much faster and more efficient way of creating undead then Zhaitan to focus on each corpse to corrupt it and make it his minion. Trahearne called it a factory, in others words used to mass produce the minions in a short time frame rather than by each individual corpse. If not that what Aaron said seems like it would be some what accurate of how its done.
Is the face supposed to be of the avatar of the pale tree or another sylvari we have yet to see possible….I only think this could be possible because the avatar of the pale tree is just that, an avatar. If that part in the cutscene were to represent the pale tree it should show the tree it self don’t u think?
I agree with you on all of this. For the second point… people NEED to keep in mind that Ascalon was ORIGINALLY charr territory so a rightful king to it would most likely be a charr. And to add onto your 3rd point…. IIRC in the first living season, the Flame and Frost part of the story was in 4 parts. Just cause this is part one of possible just two doesn’t mean were anywhere near then end of this season.

Dwayna, god of healing and air. = Tyria.
Dhuum, god of death. = Zhaitan.
Grenth, god of ice = Jormag.
Lyssa, god of illusions = Kralkatorik.
Balthazar, god of war and fire. = Primodus.
Melandru, god of nature = Mordremoth.
Abbadon, god of water (aka. komir). = Bubbles (aka. deep sea dragon)
We intend to forget about Dhuum the god of death, though he is also a god in tyria, he is just not as famous as the other gods since the humans did not pray to him.
Also dwayna is mother to grenth, she is proberly one of the oldest gods therefore she is tyria.
Actually Grenth is the current God of death as far as we know. Dhuum was overthrown by Grenth. So there weren’t 7 original gods cause they never existed at the same time and due to the fact that Grenth overthrown Dhuum and Kormir absorbed Abbadon’s power after he was killed.
We do have lots of pieces of his body and we constantly get more for doing Arah explorable. The Shards of Zhaitan dungeon tokens are, as the name suggests pieces of Zhaitan. They even have a lore text on them saying that they are pieces of him and that he is forever dead.
I REALLY, REALLY wouldn’t take the dungeon tokens as hard canon.
Because A: Zhaitan’s death was a good distance from Arah, in an Area we can only assume the Pact hasn’t even touched if they haven’t secured Arah ATM.
B: Who would go and carve pieces of Zhaitan out of the corpse?
No one would have had to carve pieces of Zhaitan out of his corpse…we shot at him a lot and the shards of zhaitan could work the same as the blood of kralkatorik where it crystallizes once it leaves his body. As for him being dead or not, I don’t see why there is reason to believe he is alive at all. Sure we didn’t see a body but do u really think the WhOLE personal story would lead up to us NOT killing him? After we shoot Zhaitan down at the end of the dungeon, Caithe thanks us for helping her with her wyld hunt which was to KILL Zhaitan.
Im not a centaur expert but i think is more probably that the centaur give us problem than be an ally. Centaur are territorial and aggresive creatures. I imagine this centaur is watching us and preparing some interesting problems (ambush etc..).
But then we have Ventari, who actually came from the Maguuma Jungle and befriended a human. He greatly disliked violence. We also had centaur allies in Elona, so clearly they aren’t all bad.
Perhaps this is a descendant of Ventari or the tribe he came from?
I think that they may be descendants from him…the banner in the camp that we saw from breaking out of the map was of pale tree. And in the dream when u make a sylvari, Ventari uses the same model as these centaurs which is reason for them being related.
In rata sum you can see the whole uncategorized fractal except for the very start of it. Go down to the peacemakers headquarters and down to the jail. Compare the screen to the fractal next time u go in. That’s where the rabbit the ettin the bandit and charr are all located in the fractal. Then follow your way up as u would in the fractal and u can c the whole path of it in rata sum. I know we’ve been told that the two are not the same but built by like minded people but this is something I just noticed and never saw anything about it.
Might sound dumb but did u just leave it up and wait or did u close out of it and pull it back up? I have had trouble with it as well recently but closing it and opening it again seems to fix it.
Don’t know if anyone pointed this out yet but more proof they are hiding something. The master wouldn’t tell us where he was going either and he has aspect crystals with him if he wants to use them for something…they are part of glint. Could he be headed to Bloodstone Fen from gw1? Just read the wiki and it said it WILL have Bloodstone Fen used in gw2….. any body think this is possible coming soon?
I don’t see why everyone loves quaggans….. for real a norn or charr could just pick one up and throw it so far it would be dead on impact from the throw…..They are hardly any use cause they HATE to go rage mode to defend themselves. Seems they are useless in this world of constant danger and fighting.
Not saying I think it’s great how they losing their minds but u can’t blame the pale tree for it…. If a charr soldier goes rogue( and they do from time to time) u don’t take it out on the whole legion. As for them losing their minds well they are letting down one of their only defences by NOT following the pale tree and its dream. So it’s understandable why sylvari can be easy targets. And of course there are the ones that accept the dragons…
When I try to craft them together it says there is an unknown recipe but I cant figure out what else needs to go in there? Anyone have any ideas as to what it might be?
Anyone else think its possible a new ranger pet in this map to be…. it showed a few pets already and last time we got a new map (southsun cove) the reef drake pet was released. With a new area can come new creatures to be tamed as pets…
Not sure about the quaggans and the centaurs but the skritt and ettins could be good together. The skritt in large numbers are very smart yet not the strongest of all creatures. The ettins however are dumb. They are strong though so together the two would make a decent alliance.
The fourth picture u posted the lines that are not scribbled out i believe are the alliances she made. Then the ones crossed out would be ones she tried at but failed.
