Bumping for help
I recently made a sPvP bow warrior after seeing the high base damage on the bow’s 5 skill. I’m not doing terrible in PVP, but with the ridiculous number attached to my damage, i feel like i should be dominating much harder, like I’m doing something wrong?
The warrior’s bow relies on (Mostly) burning damage, with a few bleeds to put forth its damage. In my example and with my build, my 5th skill hits for <13k damage with 6 stacks of bleed.
Can someone explain to me how condition damage works in comparison to regular damage? Hitting 12k’s should deal enough damage in two hits to kill almost anyone… But still I’m only mediocre in PVP. Can anyone explain to me exactly how conditional damage works?
Ty for answering, but honestly it doesnt even feel 33% faster. the signet says 25% and (testing it on a staircase in heart of the mists) it took me 1 Mississippi second to run up the stairs with and without it equipted
I tried placing points into the three talents, and equipting the signet of air in the heart of the mists and my movespeed stayed the same. I tried entering combat, and still the same.
Yes i have a dagger equipt (In both main and offhand to be 100% sure)
Yes i have the air spec equipted
Am i doing something wrong?
In Guildwars 2, I find almost all of the classes enjoyable, through their utility skills, however I find the mesmer’s skills funnest. (Quickness ult, Veil, Portal, etc) But I hate ALL the mesmer’s weapons.
Like most classes I have an easy time deciding what spells I would use, however when it comes down to the weapon choices, most classes I refuse to play because their weapon choices don’t appeal to me.
My question is:
Are there any plans to add additional weapons for the Mesmer, or all classes anytime soon?
My question is a generic and vague one. I wanna hear all your responses:
What makes lets say 50 Physical damage better than 60 Conditional damage?
I’m interested in playing a warrior/rifle, and I’m more interested in doing more damage, than being tanky. However I dislike the traits themselves in the Power line because they’re more attributed towards melee weapons.
My question is; Are the stat bonuses more important than the traits themselves?
How much damage could 100 power really add?
kitten, so basically my build was nerfed before I found it
@Lamefox
First time warrior, so I didnt know the other burst skills were so bad. Whats its use if they all suck?
Just a quick question:
“Kill Shot” the rifle’s burst damage attack seems extremely weak. Maybe I’ve misunderstood the math, however it appears to me that one point into the talent “Deep Cuts” down precision makes the basic autoattack deal more damage than this “Profession Skill”.
Am I right on this? Is it really THAT bad?
The Mesmer skill “Phantasmal Haste” doesn’t work on the torch skill phantasm (“Phantasmal Mage”)
Ill admit i’ve had trouble against Mesmers before, but due to my own looking down at cooldowns, instead of watching which clone was the real mesmer. My own mistake
Is it just me or…?
I was playing in the Heart of the Mysts, trying out characters, and these two character’s combos didn’t seem to be working?
Ranger: Axe/Torch (Fire)
Necromancer: Staff/Wells (Dark)
In the case of the Ranger, the heart appears stating “Burning” but no burning is applied. (Only with the Torch’s fire field 5 attack + 1-2 on the axe, Every other fire field + axes seemed to work correctly)
In the case of the Necromancer, upon placing the well, the staff’s basic attack just like the Ranger’s Axe created hearts stating “Lifesteal” however no HP was added to my damaged healthbar (from jumping off of a tall tower near the training golems) like I assume lifesteal is supposed to do. Please note, when the heart with “Lifesteal” would appear, no green numbers symbolizing health regained appeared either?
Am I wrong on this? Does anyone else notice the same issue? Every other combo field works properly that I’ve seen. I know howto use combos?
ive never noticed any counter class picks in this game… What makes thief/illusionist counter the ranger?
I’ve always felt that the ranger outdamages both of those classes? By quite a bit. As a matter of fact, I’ve never lost a pvp match playing as a ranger.
But like you say, I may just be quite a bit better with the ranger than any other class?
Hello everyone,
I have a hard time sticking to a class… I dont know if its because I’ll die once in PVP and feel like I need to make drastic changes so it doesn’t happen again or what? But I’m here to find another class to play… Again.
I think my biggest problem with a class is finding out that the 1-5 weapon skills arn’t doing enough mathematically, or I’ve changed my mind about them. I’m interested in finding a ranged support class I enjoy (600-1200+ range). Although I found the water elementalist to be fun, mathematically he doesnt seem so fit. Placing points into healing, instead of power seems to be a huge waste when only 2/5 weapon skills do actual HEALS.
And although i love healing, I dont think I’ll be happy with any healing class in guildwars, if half your spells are unaffected by healing power.
Are there any classes that are supportive, but not focused on healing HP, or maybe give me a new look on healing HP/Healing power’s flaws entirely?
TL;DR: What longrange support class is fun/good especially in PVP
I talked about this in my thread too…
Changing characters means movespeed buffs/heals/gap closers are all in a different order, so I suggested free mobility of choosing where skills go in the hotbar
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/HUD-Customization-Tweaks/first#post413300
Now this may sound OCD or dumb to alot of you, however many profession’s weapons I dislike using SIMPLY because the skills are in an inappropriate order for me. Or I get confused as to which button to hit when…
For Example:
When I play with a ranger, using a warhorn and I’m used to movement speed buff being “5”, and then I switch characters to an alt that has a movement speed buff on maybe “4” or one of the “7-9” utility skills.
I know currently you can change the hotkeys of these, however looking towards the skillbar, if these arn’t in the correct order, I’ll confuse myself even more if I have the “3” key hit the “4” skill.
I’m suggesting a drag-n-drop system for skills and weapon skills-in reference to the order they are in your skillbar. Simply for ease of use.
“You have been playing 11 hours, please take a break”
Anyone ever beat that notice?
