as title , its boring as watching paint dry. i roamed for 3hours on a tier1 server today and found 3 fights , 2 of those fights the enemy just ran away , i actually roam as a staff ele due to the fact if i play anything else people just run from me. so Roam as a Staff ele and people run away from u . please implement something in wvw to bring it back to life . your Rank system, the way u unbalanced seige ruined this game.

Reasons why i think wvw died a death.

NO cross server GVG implemented. (OS is ok but u get a busy gvg and u get Que on OS)

Seige unbalanced and broken. way over powered

WvW rank system causing seige to do even more damage. eg:
(roaming theif gets hit by a cannon and it takes 3/4 of his hp.) so roamers try run around fighting each other in open feild cant do it without a treb/arrowcart/cannon/morter hitting them.) if u run a roaming spec all it takes is 1 person to do 3k damage to u then cannon will down u.)

And just had to put it in a post where you list everything that’s wrong and “unbalanced” about WvW such that you can’t get solo fights the way you want to.

The problem is you’re running solo when you could form a gank havoc group to look good while your guardian buddy keeps you alive work more efficiently. If you’re forced to run solo, run like a coward avoid fighting other players head on. Instead, you should jump them when they’re not paying attention check their food, buffs, etc. then decide whether to run away because they have 25 bloodlust stacks engage or not. I’m sure if you keep trying you’ll eventually find some lone uplevels to murder get the hang of it.

As appalling as you might find it, so? Except for the current tier one servers, and maybe tier 2 as well, we’ve all been through this. Your post is about 1.5 years late.

Servers suck for going to other servers and recruiting, and your servermates suck for being buyable.

But really, it’s about what it does to the server that loses the group of people all at once, isn’kitten Some recover, some don’t. Some pull together, some get blown apart so far that no recovery is really possible.

You want a response from ANet about the reality of human nature?

The goal of a merge isn’t to make a brand new omegablob server and force anyone to play T1Wars2, rather the experience at the bottom is SO FAR from actual WvW that it really needs a fix. Spending all day soloing supply camps on a borderland isn’t WvW, it is PvE (with fewer waypoints, no heart rewards, no boss spawns, a narrow variety of loot…). There is a medium available, a place where it isn’t All Blob, All The Time 99.Blob FM, yet you still see other players.

Everyone has fought this whole wvw league season 2. And we expect, by putting our time and courage in fighting in wvw, to get some good rewards. But i really don’t see why we can’t purchase Gift of Heroes anymore with badges of honor, only with tokens. The people who have fought and are on 6th place or lower should deserve at least a Mistforged skin. And the one’s who are between the 1st and 5th place should deserve 2 or 3/5 Mistforged hero skins, because we fight in high populated servers and it is always hard to fight against bigger zergs, even blobs… All our time and effort for just one Mistforged Hero Weapon, that would make everyone just angry….

We are a community that loves this game, but if you don’t give a Mistforged Hero weapon to the ones who are placed 6th or lower, there’s something wrong. We all are equal people and everyone should have at least one Mistforged Hero Weapon. By giving a Mistforged Hero Weapon to the ones who are ranked between 1st and 5th place, would lead to jealous and angry people who are placed 6th and 9th while they did an effort too in the league. It seems a little cruel to deny a Mistforged weapon to players on servers ranking 6th-9th. Arguably, they fought the hardest to complete the meta achievement while playing on servers that were underpopulated and outmanned.

A lot of people came into this tournament reading the chart as 200 tickets OR 250 badges, as it seemed the extra cost of 4 Bottles of Elonian Wine and 10 Piles of Crystalline Dust were punitive enough to someone who didn’t rank high enough, or someone that wanted multiple skins.

My server is going to end up tied for 2nd, so this isn’t going to be an issue for me — but I know there are some 6th place servers out there with commanders that gave ten times the effort I did.

Perhaps in the future, your team could plan out WvW rewards that give at least one of the best skins to the server in last place, and several to those who are in first. That’s the reasonable approach I thought you took when I first saw the announcement, and made that mistake about the badge cost.

2. Random matches which are even more lopsided and STILL knowing who is going to come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

If you and your server would like to become the target if 2v1… all hope is not lost. Follow this guide, and you can soon be the target of affection.

1) Care about PPT

2) Buy guilds

3) Buy players

4) Cause server blackouts to stuff your “FULL” listed server with even more players to make up for your lack of skill.

5) “Win” matches because you have 20x more players than every other server

6) Trash talk, saying you’re the best players, and the best server, just because you dominate PPT. Even though all of your guilds that participate in GvG get rolled by T2 guilds. Because T2 players are better at everything.

7) Say fighting doesn’t matter. Say it doesn’t matter that you get rolled in even fights and gvg. Say PPT is the real game.

8) Omniblob the #3 rank server for more than a year. When called out, say its not 2v1, it just happens. Then say "even if we are 2v1ing, its WvW, its bound to happen.

9) Over a year later, people will get sick of your omniblob mega stacked band wagon trash talking server, and 2v1 you.

10) Spam the forums with threads about how 2v1 is ruining the game. Oh, and you’re totally not a hypocrite, and in your posts, say you’re not a hypocrite, so everyone believes you.

11) Say the game needs to change, because your server isn’t allowed to be 2v1’d, only other servers.

12) Be the only server to kick up a fuss about being 2v1’d because you’re tooootttaally not an over entitled hypocritical jerk.

13) After being laughed at, take up a new stance, say, “we enjoy being 2v1’d, it means we’re the best, otherwise it wouldn’t be happening”. Even though you’re dying inside.

14) When being called out for being the notorious guild buying player buying band wagon omniblob server, say that’s not the reason you’ve been winning, say its because you’re skilled, say its because your server is just soooooo gooooood at the game, people admire how skilful your server is, and want to be as skilful as you.

15) Continue to say how good you are at the game, even though you can’t win gvgs let alone even numbered open field fights.

I know how you people at anet love npc’s but please. Do not add more npc related nonsense to wvw. Keep that baby business in pve.

smart pve like ogre , dredge or hylek camps are very good type of pve and they need to add more like this or something like wildstar will add as a boss fight after a successfully capture of enemies keep.

mindless pve like centauvs and skirts that are doing nothing excpet make us wasting time to see what is attacking a camp , they should total remove and do not add something like that again.

all npc near wp/towers are good for scouters to pass their time more constructive than just sit there and scout and to increase the weapons stacks

I really don’t consider that smart pve. Its just more things to kill if you are caping a camp. With enough people you will do it fast enough for their npc bs to not matter. Where as if you are alone or duo you mostly avoid these because its a huge waste of time. Edge of the mists is really bad for this case as the players just run around and karma train and farm kills while npc do repairs, auto cannons, really tanky npcs.

If you want more npcs there is always pve. In wvw these things arnt required and I would expect anet to make more player interactive things and less to none pve elements.

i could easy answer to this “If you want more npcs there is always pve.” with this “If you want pure pvp there is always the spvp” , but i will not do it , because most of the players think tha www is just pvp.

they refuse to understand that the pvp is just one tool to have a victory and there are are many other parts in www that satisfy players with more needs from a mmo than to just pvp .

i know people that they love to use sieges, to scout in passive or in an active way , to run dollies or return an easy cap of a camp to a victory alone against a 5 men group by the help of these extra veteran npc …..

From what I’ve read here, winning is only achieved by zerging, coverage, lack of skill, cheating, buying guilds, double teaming, using open field siege and getting transfers.

The problem with OS is that only one GvG can take place there at a time and it can get queued just like every other WvW zone. Adding Obsidian Sanctum to the Megaserver list would cause a lot more problems than it would solve.

ET, we are beyond pathetic. Seriously, seriously bad play. We don’t deserve to hold onto anything with how bad we are. The past two weeks have been horribly pathetic and I just can’t emphasize enough how bad we are playing.

Tip 1: Build rams when they are placed. They do more damage than you shooting the gate.

Tip 2: Build the cats when they are placed. They do damage to walls, you do NOT. Quit fighting the kitten wall for 2 minutes before using your supply.

Tip 3: Build defensive siege. When a place is being attacked, especially a tower, and 15 of us are defending the commander should NOT have to build all 3 superior arrow carts by himself. That is beyond pathetic and we deserve to lose if you continue doing that.

Tip 4: Learn how to place siege, for the love of god don’t place arrow carts where they can easily be hit, you just use up valuable supply.

Tip 5: Defend!!!!! If you are called to get somewhere, get there. Do not wait until the enemy zerg of 50 arrives and you can’t get in.

This isn’t rocket science, it’s basic common sense. I guess the best I can do is wish you luck, cause we have no skill.

On AR, when we want to fight, we go to actual pvp where things are closer to balanced (even for 1v1’s). Food, some runes, and even some traits are a bit ridiculous that can be abused in wvw.

There is no pvp in this game. There are only circles and circles with destructible walls. :/
