What is the build?
Awesome build bro! I agree with the other posters that dogged march is a must and burst mastery is kind of a waste…. but still I bet it is very effective!
I have been working on a GS/Ham build as well and playing around this is what I have come up with…
This build goes for damage…. But with knights armor and Hoelbrak runes I get plenty of defense, see image 3k+ armor. With full BL stacks my attack hits exactly 4k. I switch out my skill slots depending on the opponent, and usually run a condi cleanse or endure pain on the bar.
Here is a screen shot of my stats… this is w/o SoR running
Please just bump this for recognition…
but given that i play a ranger
IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!
I just checked and BG has 0 ppt on TC BL? I read in an earlier post they were banned? What happened?
Hey guys,
Working on another build and I think I have it pretty much locked in. Here it is :
The idea behind this is to stack might with GS and Haul Runes and smash the face of your foe with hammer. This build provides decent enough defense with amazing damage output. You are a bit fragile but the GS / Bull’s / Rage / Balanced gives plenty of mobility. I am looking for your guys input to see where I can improve. So far I have had some decent fights including multiple outmanned that resulted in a W :-) I have literally 2-3 hit some ele’s and thief’s with this… the damage is pretty insane.
Stats with stacks :
3700 atk
52% crit
2900 ac
23,900 life

I already have full zerker, but still, i tend to die in dungeons in a few hits when i fight some boss that zergs you tons of dmg.
Bro, I asked the same question when I first started running all zerker! I am telling you, for PVE just stick with and you will learn to get better at it. For tough fights I would just put a rifle on so I could get out of the fray long enough to regen. Once you get good and dodging and evading you become a wrecking ball of damage.
Ohh… and make sure you always have at least one guard in the group
I agree with everyone above regarding Spiked Armor in this build. Shield Mastery seems better, especially with perplexity runes.
One question: Is the bonus on Perplexity #4 actually “on hit” or is it “on crit”?
It is on hit.
I was just wondering how often confusion procs with only shield bash and bull’s charge as an interrupt?
Often enough. It does take some good timing to land but if you watch for it you can get it off frequently.
I am on Jade Quarry, add me
What stat do you use for weapons and trinkets?
Dire – I recently added some soldier in for a bit more power. 2k condition damage was my target.
lack of sustain, but besides that strong build. would hurt my pride though running this xD
No. Just no. Apart from the insane base stats in armor and HP, passive healing signet regen, you have the shield block (which could definitely be traited) and sword 2/bull’s rush to kite for some quick healing. This build will IMO lose only against the classes that condibunker better (engie and necro).
^ This! I find the sustain on this build insane. – I will give shield mastery a try.
Questions:
you use shield but did not take the shield trait- why? the shield skills have such a long cooldown…Dire stats are only available with ascended gear?
Thanks,
I am going to try shield mastery and see how it does. I really like the added damage of reflect even if it scales with power. Confusion and reflect means that they are getting hit pretty kitten hard every time they try to cast on me, and I dig that.
Dire is on exotic as well.
Show some duels against the more OP classes like condition necro.
I have 0 issues with necro’s. Necro’s can definitely beat this build but I have yet to come across one that is traited/slotted to directly counter. If fraps didn’t hurt my game so badly I would be happy to post some videos. What program do you guys use for recording gameplay?
Yup, not trying to reinvent the wheel here just trying to make it run smoother. Thanks for the suggestions!
10/0/30/30/0 full PTV, hammer+Sw/Wh. Use all shouts since you trait shouts heal with soldier runes
What do you put in the 10 in Str? Fort?
I have been solo roaming with a condition warrior for the past three months and I have finally found a suitable build. With this build I win 90% of the 1v1 fights that I go into. If I can’t down the player, which is uncommon, my tank and mobility give me ample ability to flee.
Here is the build….
Ok so here are some notes….
The idea behind this build is Attrition Warfare :
Attrition Warfare is a military strategy in which a belligerent side attempts to win a war by wearing down its enemy to the point of collapse
Stats : With full stacks… guard, corruption, and malice I sit at 30k hp, 3.5k Armor, and 2k condition damage.
Perplexity over undead – This just does so much damage. I went back and forth from perplex to undead 3 times and finalized on this because of the fact it adds another condition. When your conditions are getting stripped one at a time perplexity allows for more consistent damage to be applied to the target than a % boost to your already crazy condition damage.
Shield rather than sword – Many of the condo builds I see run sword in the off hand. I did this as well but I have come to love my shield. With bash not only do I get a brief stun but also my perplex applies. Torment is good but defense is just as much a part of this build as offense. Block basically offers an endure pain on 30s cool down and I can not count how many times it has saved me from a fatal hit or stun.
Dire – I ran rabid for the first 3 weeks of being a condition warrior. I switched to dire and have never looked back. The beauty of the condition build is you only have to focus on 3 stats, Condition Damage, Vitality, and Toughness. When you try to add in precision in there it just weakens the whole build. This build is not focused on crits at all. If something does proc a bleed or a bonus it is just that… a bonus.
Retaliation – I just started running this and after seeing a ranger and guard do 3k+ damage to themselves I am sold. This is basically another tick of damage similar to a condition and is up +50% of the time. Choosing this trait also increases our toughness.
I run ascended but of course this build can be nearly as effective with exotics.
I am open to any suggestions and feedback. If you try it, I hope you like it as much as I do!

Still not even a peep? Dang
So, just an update. I switched over to boot camp and the improvement was ridiculous! I now run a minimum of 20FPS on ultra settings in full wvw zergs. Sucks that I cant run this in my preferred OS but with this improvement I can’t go back.
First off – BUMP!
My opinion? I think it is garbage!
What really urks me is, we see the same kitten mesmer fly hacking all over on BG and have reported it multiple times with no action from ANET. Can we get an official response on this? Why is this player allowed to exploit the game with no repercussion? It has even got so bad his own server ignores him. How has this not been addressed?
It is so bad, this makes the game unplayable. Can we get a response from ANET?
am running on average 20 FPS lower across the board. WvW zergs now drop my fps to an unplayable level (4-6fps). Before patch everything was running fine.
Mac OS X 10.9.1
3.5 i7
8gb Ram
GTX 780m 4gb
So sad that every update seems to bring more problems than fixes. Especially for mac users.

Hey guys,
I do not want to get into a debate on what provides the most DPS melee or range. I am well aware of the meta GS/A/M and I use it frequently. I am testing a build that is GS/R and I really enjoy it. The reason for this post is to fine tune damage potential with GS/R not to discuss the meta melee build.
Here is the build, tell me what you guys think! It is biased off of the 30/25/0/0/15 so that I can switch back and forth between ranged and melee. I am interested though, if I wanted to just use this GS/R build, what would be some better trait options?
Here is screen shot for sexy factor….

I am having so much fun with this build! I have tons of survivability in group fights and can focus down targets with ease. A few classes cleanse a bit much but I just switch targets and down they go. I have won 3v1’s but excel at small group battles.
The final build I went with was :
0 –
20 – III V
20 – II IX
10 – I
20 – III VI
I just couldn’t give up my snare because I find that as my main role in groups is to lock down targets.
Love the build! Now if I could just get a better solution for PVE. I am having issues with survivability with the zerker meta. Any ideas?
Thanks for the pointers!
I switched to dire gear at a 30% loss of crit rate, but I also gained almost 5k health. How do you get to 32k? With all dire gear and trinkets I am at 25k. Do you use a different rune set?
I have yet to change my undead runes because I want to stay a heavy damage build. I will try it out and if I notice my tank needs more support I can change my resist/durations.
I can’t see retaliation being stronger than a 1s snare. I find it so clutch when my sword attacks snag them enough for me to keep on them when they are running.
I know the build is nothing new and I am not trying to re-invent the wheel here, but I could use some help. I am have been playing a warrior for a while and finally have found a build I find fun and interesting to play rather than the hack and slash approach.
The count’s from the builder site are a bit off from what I show in my character screen.
With food I am at – 3300+ armor and 1800+ condition damage
Here is the build…
I was going for a pure condition damage with a tad bit of added vitality. I find it extremely effective in WvW fights both zerg and roaming. Damage output on some targets is insane and it is incredibly good for snagging and bagging strays. The survivability is decent but I run into issues with a few classes 1v1:
Mesmers – I hate them plain and simple… If I can get the right one they are dead in no time, but some of them just own me.
Ranger – 95% of them melt, but I ran into one that I could not seem to damage.
Tank Ele’s – I can’t put enough hurt on them to take them down, normally a pretty long fight with them prevailing.
Any help on gear, tactics, or traits/skills would be much appreciated. Also I am looking for a good hammer build if anyone has one?
Thanks!
Just to correct you, 400-500 is actually 4.5 levels.
It’s 65 I understand. But how do you explain 2-73 on my ranger?
That’s weird cuz I went from 1-73 without scroll…
Including 400-500
Where did you get this info?
Edit: nvm it says on the wiki.
Last time I got from 2-73.
I want to get straight to 80.
What level do i start from?
Bank Slots (character-specific) and Bank Tabs (accountwide) will be very useful down the track, think of them as your real estate.
Careful with the Bank Slots – you’ll probably only want them on your main character, and since you are just starting out you might end up shelving the character you put them on.
The Transmute Crystals (blue) will be necessary to look nice when you’ve reached max level, and if you go for the 25-crystal deal you’ll almost certainly use them all
- but DO NOT BURN THEM until you are lvl 80; use the free yellow transmutes you get from completing zones until then.
Bank slots do not change from character to character.
Transmutation crystals are something you’ll likely need. Getting a few might really help you in the future, when you’re level 80 and going for cosmetics.
Actually trait resets are a priority over transmutation.
Because with transmutation you’ll need splitters if you plan to re-transmute and keep the skin. That will cost a lot more.
Greatsword / Hammer / Spear
0, 20, 20, 0, 30
PVT armor with Melandru runes
Knights trinkets (some zerk for PvE) and weapons
All signetsEnjoy.
Sword/sword is more viable than axe/axe in wvw?

Power, Vit, Toughness or Power Precision Toughness, what would you go for in WvW?
I think ill be going for more Power, Precision, Toughness.
I did some snooping and found Kalarchis.8635 build.
and i think ill be sticking pretty closely to this.
what do you think?[/quote]
Yeah it looks pretty solid.
I’m lacking the soldier armor because it takes honor badges.
Right now I have 2.1k power, 2.1k precision and 2.2k toughness.
Toughness>Vitality in WvW?
Or are they equal?
That’s a good question, something ive wondered..
my assumption would be toughness is better than vitality just because of damage mitigation.but then again maybe having a bigger HP pool is more of a benefit.

I’m torn between Berserker and Soldier/Invader for WvW.
I want the power from berserker but I also feel like I die a little too fast.
I know for PVE I might stay with Berserker.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
I deleted my character, necromancer, after playing and getting all my digital deluxe items in my character.
Had no idea they would disappear.
Made an elementalist and I don’t have the items anymore.
So I purchased the DD in the black lion trading thing and I never got the miniature Rytlock or fire wolf summon skill.
I only got the chest and the banker.
Purchased it again, no luck. Please help
