The Northwatch is now recruiting!

We’re a non-hardcore, social and friendly guild. We’ll accept players of any experience, skill, level, age and location. There’s only a few requirements – be a good guild mate and be respectful to everyone!

Our main focuses in the game are:

PvE (leveling, exploration, dungeons, raids and more)
*World vs World (Even though WvW is kind of dead right now, it isn’t stopping us)
*PvP (Ranked, un-ranked, casual and hardcore. Everything goes!)

New to the game? I can assure you that we will help you out! This guild Teaches the new players everything from basic stuff to the more advanced stuff in the game! We Teach players about the different class, builds and different ways to level and play the game!

While I do hate the new patch a lot. (only good thing was the new hero panel and the new TP) I can understand why they are doing this.
They want to be a bit more friendly to the new players that they will get so they can earn more money and make the game grow even more. But then I have another question. Why did the game work so good at release? I know there where a bunch of broken stuff and bugs at release. But back then we never really heard any complaints about the early leveling at all.

We only heard complaints about the end game. And we still complain about the lack of some good endgame. Why don’t they just leave the working low level stuff and start working on better end game to get new players that way?

This is just stupid imo and I want to believe that it’s just a very early/late april fools joke.

And if they really want to keep it then please make an option for us “old” player to turn all the new stuff off so we can go and explore all the vistas use our weapon skills, get our skill points and all that stuff. The new “brainless” players shouldn’t effect us “old” players in a negative way. it should do the opposite!

I disagree with this entirely the whole guildwars model was built around “no subscription fee ever” and by adding something like they will cause a huge negative uproar to pretty much 90% of the community who are casual.

There are diminishing returns in place for a reason, if by giving select few who pay benefits to farm so much gold very quickly, which they would if given the chance it would completely destroy the economy, for example If the farmers pay this amount to farm all the time and get so much gold, the gold will slowly become less and less valuable and prices will rise on the trading post because people can just buy anything. Then there are the people without these privileges, struggling to ever keep up with the constant price rises and never being able to afford items they may want from the trading post.

It creates a divide which isn’t wanted or needed in guildwars.
You say how simple it is yet you haven’t even bothered thinking about the effects that it can have on the game in a whole, yes it may create revenue for anet, but they will also lose half of their playerbase in the process. which probably isn’t worth it.

I have had this problem a couple o times doing jumping puzzles. I have no idea what cause this though.

I did this once hoping I would get a precursor or any other really expensive weapon for me to sell and get rich. I lost all my money and went to do CoF story dungeon and in the first loot bag I found Howl, precursor to Howler. I raged so hard after that xD

I’m sorry if I’m being annoying. but something that I have never seen before (also inside fort vandal) There are 10 level 80 champion bandits(a great place to farm champions xD). some are Poisoner while other are saboteur. And a theory that I have is that Belinda Delaqua is suposed to go here…. maybe xD

I discovered this when I made a void jump inside Fort Vandal. I don’t know if it have always been there but to me it looks like a new map will be available there soon. And no. you can’t enter it… ^^

Yes, this is something that I really want aswell. I have no idea why they haven’t done it already though. But having a feature like this would make the game so much better!

Well since the new mega server we accept people from all servers now as long as you are in EU. so /bump I guess.

If you are both on EU then there should be no problem. But if you play on NA then you can’t

While I do like to see more people on all maps I’m not sure that I like it that much.
When there were no mega servers I would always get so excited when I found a player in the same map. now the maps is full of random people that you can’t even comunicate with because their client is german or something like that so they can’t see what I type.

Also ever since I the mega server started I have been getting spammed by alot of gold sellers. about 2 spam messages every 30 min and that is a bit annoying. also there is no Role playing anymore

I am taking part in the tournament of legends in 9 days now. Now my internet messing up has lost me 2 days practice. This is wrong, and unfair, and unreasonable.

As someone that recently had an unstable connection (for almost 1 week) I just didn’t play because it’s not a fun feeling knowing your team would’ve won if you didn’t dc. Just don’t play, call your ISP and fix your connection. [dishonorable still lets you do hotjoin and custom arenas]

You’re only prevented from rated PvP, not hotjoins. Nothing is stopping you from practicing in custom arenas.

The length of the dishonorable lockout buff depends on how quickly you accumulate dishonor. It’s like not being able to play as long as you have 3 bleed stacks. You can play as soon as your first 3 day stack wears off, but getting 1 more will lock you out again.

Just because the Internet happens to be a bit unstable from time to time (I’m sure everyone have DC at least one time) still makes this a bit unfair to get banned for 2 days. and I know that it stacks up and stuff and that you will be able to play again after the timer hits 0 but still… 2 days is insane.

There is a bug or at least I hope it is.
When you leave x amounts of time from a sPvP match you will get the status [dishonorable] which means that you can’t enter a new game unless you wait for 2 days (and the time is ridiculous, 2 hours would be way better). And I know that there is a good reason as to why this exists. But now think bout someone with a very unstable internet that gets forced to leave the game and restart the client. Is it not a bit unfair that that person now must wait 2 days before he/she can play sPvP again? It should be based on whether or not you pressed the button “Leave” and not just a random DC. Or it should put the player back into the game as soon as he/she returns. It’s just not fair.

i can totally tell you that “RNG” is also capped on how many drops you can get each day / week / month.
been testing this for few weeks, and i notice that after doing wvw trains and 90% of the world bosses daily you start to get less and less loot after X point.
and seems like MF is totally there to trick you that you might get lucky but doesn’t actually do anything.
for example there is no way the best item you can get from teq with 250% MF is a rune or an opal. either the loot table is flooded with trash so every if you get that “rare” or “exotic” type loot you get 90% to get one of trash list but anything good is seems to be about 0.001%
this is just from the last few months. so lets say 40 tries on teq 6 runes and some crest or opal instead of a rare every time.

fyi there can be also a X limit of any loot that can be drop in the world.
so i won’t be surprised if its time capped for like 1 precursor a day/week/month limit.

Just a thought. I know it is all RNG but I wonder if Anet control the amount of pre-cursors the MF gives out in a day.

For example today, it may only dispense 20 precursors and no more. If those 20 are already gone, you could put a million rares in and still never get anything.

It’s possible… But I don’t think so. There are a lot of different exotics you can get so they don’t even need to make it rarer to get from the mystic forge. If you were trying to get the exotic riffle Charrzooka you would have to spend just as much as you would spend on the precursor if you wanted it.

Well the thing is with a commander tag everyone can see you and comes to join. So using a commander tag when doing guild missions can confuse other non guild members. I tried this once. Ended up having every single soul in the map chasing me during the guild mission.

Victory or Death!

Interesting idea. But it would probably make the game extremely unbalanced. Imagine a Light armor class running around in heavy. And with all those armor skills they got… they would be invincible xD

I hate this. It’s very rarely that I get in a full team. I join and then either people AFK the whole match until they get kicked or they leave making my team lose. Something needs to be done to balance the matches!

Well they said, all the ascended gear will be account bound so I guess it will. But like you said, one can’t be too sure…

I only spent 150g in the mystic forge, 100g to try and get precursor which I didn’t get. And 50g on masterworks to try and earn money which I managed to make a 25% profit.
