I’m pretty sure i’ve never had the original issue, I never saw “GWAMM” or the other ones higher than “Rift Warden”, and now I get a mail saying “oops sorry we’re taking your AP’s back” and i’m now down x hundred APs.
Note: I only got the mail just now, when i created a new character, not before, when I logged into my existing ones.
[edit]
Ok, so I log out to desktop and log in again and now I have my APs back and it says i’ve recently completed the respective titles up to and including “Rift Warden”, so I guess that makes everything better?

Right click their name(s) and report as “Botting”. That will summon an GM to investigate.
Upgrade just finished, and the broken gate / wall repaired itself perhaps?
Why don’t you join the map late, so you end up on a “megaserver” with fewer people on?
This site is very useful: http://www.logicalincrements.com/
Karka dropped to about 20fps with everyone on screen.
My settings – see attachment
Some strange settings you have there (textures on low and no AA but character textures all the way up)
I only have 1GB of video RAM, so I don’t want to flood it with textures. I also don’t like AA for aesthetic reasons.
I was originally using character “lowest”/“lowest” settings but changed it to test performance for this thread.
I have the 4790k, it is looooooooooooooovelyyyyyyyyyyy!
Not tried tequila, but during Jormag it handled everything smoothly and frame rate stayed pretty good, even with my aging Radeon HD 5770.
I’ll see if I can try with tequila and update the thread.
Yes, a “You have x Trait reset(s) available” button would be great!
Ok, guys. Some of you are unhappy about this change, I can see that. BUT… quite honestly, most of you are sort of (I hate to use the word) ranting (sorry!) instead of offering suggestions.
I assure you, the team leader told me not 15 minutes ago, they will listen to suggestions.
- Does that mean you get everything you want? Probably not.
- Does that mean you should suggest something? Yes, of course! Because they’re expecting player input.
So you want lower increments? Think it through and present a suggestion! You want XYZ in the interface? Post that idea. You would rather see something else? Post what you think about that other thing. Please don’t get into the whole “I’m going to kick the devs and their little dogs, too” because it’s not doing you or us any good at all.
I’m not here to apologize. I’m here to communicate and right now, the communication is coming in without a whole lot of substance. Over to you for suggestions and constructive input!
I want to be able to put my own quantities into the “Get Gems” box, remembered across logins. Not sure about the “Get Gold” box though, I don’t use that.
Outnumbered should be: All walls, doors, guards, siege, etc. get double HP or half damage buff, and all siege takes half as much supply to build.
Are you playing windowed or full screen?
XP? Vista? Windows 7?
Do you use Aero?
What is your graphics card, and what version drivers do you have installed?
Do you have multiple displays?
Put a rock there! A really long one, maybe a cliff face.
Or sharks.
Seriously, there’s no excuse for invisible walls, it’s just lazy mapping.
If there’s an open shore, then let players swim until they get bored or eaten.

Okay… remove invisible walls… and replace them with what?
Put a dense bush there, or a tree or a fence, or ANYTHING!
I bought one! I think it’s shiny! Shiny shiny!
There’s actually a few places in the middle of the Atlantic. Heard of EVE online?
Their servers are in London
If you’re not close enough to the chest when you open it, you have to get closer and do a manual loot action.
It’s the old “buy 2 hours worth of 50% Magic Find for 100 spores” scam.
Some points:
- It takes spores from safe boxes and presumably invisible bags.
- It doesn’t mention exactly what you get in return.
- It doesn’t warn you not to change map or log out.
- It’s unbelievably bad value for “money”.
And yes, it scammed me for 100 spores when I mis-clicked on something by accident.

I believe this is what you require: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iapECJKx4k0
I posted about a map glitch here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Odd-little-glitch-in-Gendarran-Fields/first
It’s like a recurring explosion of blackness, and if you angle the camera in the right way you can see other textures appearing, like grass and stars.
The problem is with the sound engine Guild Wars 2 uses, it’s called FMOD and the noise is what FMOD makes when it has run out of memory or otherwise encountered a fatal error.
It is not caused by a virus, or by sunspots, or by secret government agencies doing crazy things to your computer. There is a small possibility of it being caused by faulty memory but then that may affect the game in other ways too.
The more sounds that are playing at any one time, the more chance there is of this happening.
Lots of games use FMOD, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FMOD
The pulsating sound is the fmod audio subsystem telling the user it is out of memory:
“When the FMOD mixer thread does an allocation and it fails, it is almost impossible to recover from this gracefully (because of the threaded nature of the system, there is no function to return an error from), and sounds would start to drop out. Because we think this is fatal, and leads to subtle or not so subtle audio bugs – the mixer now emits a pulsating sine wave noise to tell you it is out of memory.”

For future reference devs tend to move questions here which they think/know other players are equally capable of giving a correct answer to. They couldn’t possibly answer every question players request an ‘official’ answer to and if they tried they’d never get time to do anything else.
If another player answers your question and you’re not satisfied they’re correct you can just wait for more responses – other people will either agree or correct it.
In this case Mimizu is correct. Extra bag slots are tied to the character, not the character slot, and if you delete the character you will lose them.
That’s a bit sucky, but i guess it was designed that way on purpose.
I was hoping for a dev to reply but the helpful moderator moved this question to a forum which the devs don’t read.
For the record I have not purchased any bag slots, all I am looking for is a solid answer along the lines of “yes/no, this is exactly what happens…”.
Are purchased bag slots applicable to a character or to a character slot?
In other words if I were to recycle a character that had extra bag slots would they be lost forever or would they be applied to the next character that I create in that character slot?
