It just happened to me, I was taking runes of strenght out of Devona’s armor and used the BLSK on 2, not a problem, used on another 2 and it just gave me a single rune, I am pretty sure i used the blsk instead of any other salvage kit.

Honest question, is not any QQing, what is your stance in using spies to check on the other server movements? If you are not using it, please disregard this question, if you are, I honestly believe that kind of “tactic” is not needed when there is a better coverage in your server. Thanks for the show of apreciation KinkyGiraffe, we are trying to turn around but our zerg vanished dunno where or why xd I hope in what is left of this week we get a little more movement from our guilds working together, if the problem my fellow SFers is language, let me know, in ARG and LH we have people who speaks english and are too deep in wvw, dont let the language be a barrier, also the big guilds in sf also have spanish speaking fellows xd.

The translation of “Fragua del Pesar” is closer to “Forge of Sorrow” or “Sorrow’s Forge.” Fragua = forge. Pesar = sorrow (or grief, or remorse, or despair). Oven is actually horno, not fragua. Horno is also used for “forge,” but it appears that ANet opted to not use “horno” as the word is more commonly used for “oven” and “Horno del Pesar” probably would have sounded silly in Spanish.

Have you tried a guardian? Melee types can be insanely effective when you’re playing with a coordinated group. Wade in with a quick disruptive strike and GTFO gather your wits and cooldowns and go right back in.

Granted melee is very dangerous (and I die a lot doing it) but the thrill when you split a zergball or run down that key player holding everyone together can’t be beat.

You will find that you know of the original everyday in WvW. Originality came in 2003 when KING was developed and the first syndicated guild in guild wars was born. Along with holding HzH and now WvW, Id say we have done a very good job. Those that wish to plagiarize us have good reason too.

The 30 golems in NSP this Saturday and the omegas yesterday were just for fun I believe, they aren’t that practical when we have more golems than players. Honestly I would believe 5-10 golems being more than enough to take anything if we have a zerg going too, but a zerg of golems is just awesome to look at or being part of, last Saturday I was a mesmer helping the golems and yesterday I was the tiny little one running as fast as I could to keep it up with the omegas. But all forum trolling aside, I honestly feel that this week and last ones were just awesome, every fight I end up taking place feels like Fraps material (that sounds a little weird doesn’t it?) Keep it up HoD/NSP, I don’t mind staying here if we get that much fun.

Good fight PvP and other SF guilds in NSP Hills. It was a long night between capping and losing Hills haha. Good stuff though it was an enjoyable night!

Likewise, had a blast.

Going all out with tornado, tried to pushed them back, going back to lords room, getting downed almost there, rallying… repeat that like 4-5 times and that was the experience I had with that particular siege, it was really awesome and exciting bottlenecking there and trying to hold that lost battle as much as we could xd. Its a shame I tried to record it there from the begining to end and got pretty much a slideshow.

Maybe only available outside wvw (the chat suppresion for the commander), in wvw give us a little bigger threshold. That way the gold sellers or spammers wont take advantage of that.

Hello, I have a 1024MB GeForce GTS 450 Videocard and a Intel Core i7 870 @ 2.93GHz MB, also I have 3 screens and use Nvidia Surroundview to get 5760×1080@60Hz resolution, it was perfect until a couple of days, it shows now a delay in movement when i use surroundview, when I switch it to one screen everything is fine. Maybe it was the update from windows 2 days ago, just tried to update the driver to 314.22 and the same still happens.

Please don’t go saying that a server is hacking, there are individuals if they are really hacking, something weird now that the gate was going down, I cant imagine a person thinking, well this gate is going down but im so impatient that i will cheat seconds before the gate gets down, however, in my guild we found a couple of people hacking with an infamous program, and you dont see me saying that HoD is cheating, I know is impossible to keep track of what your servermates do, Im not asking you anything just dont do it and I for my part will report those cheaters, is that easy to fix this, REPORT, dont go headhunting in a forum.

That is a member of your guild in the screenshot. As the guild leader, you have the responsibility to turn them in. Let us know once they’ve been banned.

Love that you know how to handle this kind of things, if it were for me I would really had a hard time, you know, cause in this particular case, 3 different guild players are involved in doing the exact kind of hack you are referring, maybe they are friends in RL, the minions of course are as guilty as the rest, that’s strong AI right there.
Of course it couldn’t be a bug, that’s impossible, it happened so many times to so many people, but not against us, I have never seen it so they must be cheating, quick, call their leader and make him cut their heads without even thinking this could be a mistake.

My solution was way more stupid you know, report them when you have them face to face(god forbid someone reports a bug they have weeks complaining), if it was a bug, Anet will look into it and fix it, if they found a hack on 3 different players(and the minions, don’t forget the minions), Anet will do something about it too, Ill assure you.
I’m not gonna take any action against my own guild if I am sure they don’t cheat, I had people whisper me in-game asking to do something about one person, I looked into it and it was a valid tactic posted in this game for ages, at that moment when I had my guild’s attention I decided to just tell my guild not to cheat in any way, we didn’t do it when we were T8 for so long, and we are not starting now.

Note: If you are the guild leader or a guild officer of your guild I would really recommend you to have a cold head and rationalize before going head hunting, it damages the credibility of your guild as a whole.

Sorry, I misspoke, wait… nope, I didn’t misspoke, We lost guilds-we went to T8-we got a horrible first week when the guilds left were running like headless chicken-we got our act together and won every single week by a landslide to get out of T8, from when we lost a lot of guilds to us going up just now, we never got a mass influx of transfers, like I said, most of the guilds playing wvw now were at some point pve mostly, hence why you were doing pvdoor the first week and getting a zerg hit you the next, also why we didn’t had any strategy until now that we need it.

Ahh well you see, I was there (on FC) when SF first dropped down into t8. We (FC) beat the snot out of them the first week, then they got a mass influx of transfers.. You see, the transfer thing was the opposite, we had some guilds that played a lot of WvW, then, suddenly(they didnt said goodbye) our server wasn’t worthy enough to be their home and they mass transferred to Yaks Bend (couple of 500 member guild left, Im not talking about medium guilds) and seem to make a huge impact there in Yaks(they were #10 before now they rose and are#9), that left us Sorrows with no one on our borderlands until we hit #22, when our PvE guilds and the loyal WvW guilds that were left started playing wvw that’s when it made a difference.
I can tell you this, not a single guild who moves out of nowhere, without even saying goodbye and even trying to recruit people to move with them deserves any respect, not for me thou.
That is why you felt the strength that week, that’s why we were at T8, that’s why we are kind of glassy (we come mainly from PvE)

And btw, we never got any racist comments from Eredon or Ferguson, I really miss that, I know we can trash talk each other (to a certain degree), but racist comments just make us hate you as a whole guild and person.

I’m from ET and I can tell you SF have had massive numbers for a long time. I never complained about it, I just did my best to defend when they were there and cap when they left. The problem was with the ratings system holding them down and the Dev’s have admitted that there is a problem. Stop being mad at SF for having more players the dev’s have said they are looking into a fix for the system, that will allow servers to move up more easily when they are winning.

And insulting their skill level is stupid yes they have a lot of bad players who just follow the zerg but they also have a lot of good players who know how to fight.

A tactic we used to great effect against their numbers, which often allowed us a win against greater numbers in our BL, was to put a lot of siege at the keep SE of the spawn. It’s easy to get back to if you die, then hold out getting kills and making their job very hard until they start to get bored or give up and move on, then you push them back to their Bl and re-cap.

Driving a large force back and getting minor victories, can be great fun when outnumbered. You may not win the war but you can still enjoy the battles.

Fighting SF has made ET and FC tough, we have had to learn to play outnumbered for a long time and even before the transfers helped us out, After our casuals all abandoned ship the loyalists who stayed to fight, never gave up and always fought to the last man. I hope you can learn from the war with SF as we did, rather than getting mad and blaming SF for having a lot of players.

You will notice that SF have a lot of respect for the other T8 servers even though they outscored us massively every week. This is because we tried hard, fought hard and never surrendered. Don’t complain about what is out of your control adapt and have fun, this is a game after all.

^This, we have a lot of respect for Eredon and Ferguson, they had the skill even when outnumbered (some of them, not all…)and, after they had some transfers to help, they got a lot better, but now I can see you saying that we are numbers while you are all skill, trust me, if we and eredon move up, one of you is going down to make room for Ferguson, if we are talking about skills, they are way better, Im really glad that T8 doesnt mean noskill, rather bad math and low wvw population. Eredon/Ferguson, best of luck guys.
About the all zerg no strategy, we really never had the need to that, unfortunately, we used to wipe them, hold the keeps and run some fractals cause we knew they would get bored with wvw and left, we know the feeling of having one supply only and all our spawnpoints filled with ballista and a a welcome party. Now, we are evenly matched, we can talk strategy, thanks HoD and NSP and give us your best so we can start learning all that stuff that Ferguson was doing so good.
TL;DR We will show you skill, be patient.

Wasnt trying to be mean xd, I honestly see the servers a little more organized, if you manage to pull me (Was doing a lot of fractals and guild events) and our server to WvW without us feeling we are kicking a downed man or your server feeling that we are mindless zergs, I will love you forever XD, thats the point of wvw, a close match.

0.o, I cant believe it xd, just a couple of weeks ago all SF was hated because all those emotes, something I don’t care, I tried to tell you guys that not all of the server does this and with no luck, now about that 3vs1, I had 8 fergies trying to kill me instead of defending their hills that was ninja capped in 8 or 9 minutes, the whole 8 minutes I had you running around a elementalist and after they killed me… 5 of them all laugh and dance on corpse xd, once again, no sympathy from here about that dude.
About the wipes we are getting, you guys got really good, listen to those who transferred and don’t forget their teachings, we need the good fights you are getting us to start wvw again, a lot of us were doing a lot of pve or alts, now we can fight again, if we are stuck in T8 (It seems that is what the higher ups want) we dont care that much if we get some fights back.

I remember them saying no orbs, they give a big advantage to the already winning team, new map I dont remember them saying that they will add one, one thing is wishing for something and another is them adding it, I for once loved the new update, not all of the stuff I wished got added but it is a really good update, one thing I do want really bad… allow us to kick, invite people to our party inside wvw xd.

Never played a mmo before this one (gw1 but doesnt count xd) and the first weeks I was a clicker and felt good(used to play a lot of first person shooter), but then got a naga, highly reccomend it man, not that there is something wrong with clicker but in my case the naga helped a lot.

Shout to Eredon players, one of them after killing me when I tried to stop 3 of them for capping the supply started dancing on my corpse but abruptly stopped, then the other one bowed… that was awesome sportsmanship guys, the one dancing stopped really fast so I pretty much don’t mind any of that. I will try to stop posting here too much because it gets derailed really fast, but is awesome to fight good players, keep it coming etheron XD

Mesmer support here, well, mainly support, Im just bad at my profession, mesmers suck at tagging enemies, hence we only get a few kills=few badges, but I haven’t seen the problem really, I got my 500 badges for the legendary (which one day in this year I may get) got some invader weapons for my alts, and at the beginning I used to spend all of them for siege. still have some extra in my inventory.

Does anyone recall SF complaining that much when we got our butts handed to us? I mean, we complained to ourselves that our server was/is a mainly PvE server, so events like Halloween or wintersday had a huge impact on our numbers in WvWvW. That is not the other 2 servers fault, that is not anyone else fault, is just that we cannot get a good pve community without sacrificing some wvw or pvp. But we never complained about the other team zerging us, or dancing on us, or camping the JP. We just took it and called for more help, the people who used to do pve now does wvw, and they help a lot, like someone said, they are new, we are trying to train them the little stuff we know, how is that something to be embarrassed, we have new guys, so what? people come and goes, if you are too strict with the people joining or you keep a negative aura, of course that is the last you will see of them.

About the JP, I just want to be clear of this, I don’t camp the JP, but is stupid that when I’m helping my guild/server get blueprints Ill wave at an enemy and let them get blueprints for themselves. Everyone else is free to do whatever they want, but I feel that we are missing the point of why the jp in WvW gives you blueprints to use in wvw, and I could care less on PvErs going for the medals, like I said before, I trusted at the beggining and I only got back-stabbed after they got the good numbers to take me down, sorry… not doing that again.

Since im not very good with my profession, I respectfully /bow to an enemy who was kicking my backpack on 1v1 and out of nowhere finds himself with about 5-6 from my team coming this way and killing him, is a way for me to say “Luck was on my side but you can easily defeat me, nice job”
Besides that, I don’t really emote, except when I dance because we are getting spawncamped and I am on legendary range, but that doesnt last too long, there are other exits too.
Also, guys you are getting good, keep it up, I mean all servers, SF, FC and ET.

Sorrows Furnace has been the unofficial south american/latin server since launch.

Truth. Sorrow’s Furnace did not recently experience Latin American mass transfers. As Lucky points out, we’ve been the unofficial Latin American server since launch and those Latino guilds (like La Hermandad) you’re noticing have always been here.

And, as a matter of fact, we lost some latino guilds together with some other guilds, hence why we are T8 right now. And no, we haven’t got any kind of massive guild transfer.
I really hope that we get new server matches next week, pretty much because it seems that fighting the same people is affecting our servers, I remember when we started t8 it was all gg and awesome fights, keep it clean, and right now is just complaining on all servers, we are getting irritated and we need fresh air. Once again guys, keep it clean, if you guys think we are tiers way higher than you, we are awesome practice, the next server who falls to t8 will find out that t8 may be harder than t7 and we were t8 just for bad math. Just don’t give up, and yes I am cheering my enemy to kill me because I really hate to WvDoor. Just like I said… no dancing on corpses, is bad taste, and no cheating/exploiting either. XD

To the guilds playing in SF, thanks for helping our guild (mostly PvE) to learn the ropes and work together, it has been really fun and really exciting to fight side to side with you guys.

Yes, they are gonna fix that, they are also fixing the use of golem boxes (whatever that is xd) so you cant use them on wvw, but on their next patch

Mhh I believe anet doesn’t have too much to do with it, it was the free transfers, how can you expect Anet to keep track of those bandwagon guilds, with the free transfers we can be in the tier we really deserve, and have a 33/33/34 map, is not really fun to have everything or have nothing, we have been on both sides and we like when the enemy shows their strength, Eredon will go places, they are organized, and they don’t seem to quit, but also the last place seems to be affecting some guys negatively, no one deserves do be victim of a exploit, if you are gonna exploit to play and win WvW, leave… you don’t deserve to win, you don’t deserve to be in the same server that real players are trying to defend and you are staining their name.

Focus on the next match ferguson, all servers will be really unbalanced next weeks, one thing I can suggest, keep fighting, Sorrows was a server with most of the people leaving wvw if we started losing, I hated that and honestly hate if that happens to someone else’s server. SF as far as I can see, are up to the challenge of fighting a higher tier, we will have to get destroyed, but that doesnt mean we will get ours spirtits crushed. Eredon is a clear example of a never quiting server, they were awesome in fights and on friday they were really heavy.
Hope to see you guys later (if servers change) but honestly not soon xd we are craving for diferent servers to fight and we know you guys too.

Whenever a matchup starts to get frustrating, something like this happens and makes it all better for a while:

Lol yeah, I agree, is the small, funny and epic moments that make WvWvW a lot better than any PvE dungeon or map.
Just last week I was with my elementalist, the main zerg from us was like 15 attacking askalion, I went to kill the dolyak on north and found a minizerg of 5 fergs going to askalion, my buddy was killed and I was trying to shake them off, spent like 8-10 minutes with a bunch of fergs focusing on me instead of defending ask, I stopped, danced, waved and they still couldn’t catch on but still trying to get me, after those 10 minutes a thief got me from the opposite side and they killed me xd, what was funny was that after they killed me it was like 8 half of those stayed near my body laughing and dancing in my corpse… while ask was taken by a small zerg xd. Before that I was with my mesmer attacking the south gate, saw 4 ranged enemies and pulled the 4 of them off to the cliff xd, it was priceless xd.
So far I havent been a victim of that because I take advantage of cliffs so much that I know they can do that to me too xd.
Note: This is not a post of “lol how many of you took to kill me” Its a post of these guys dancing and laughing on my corpse (disrespectful) while their place was being taken.

Hello, my main is a mesmer and I love it, but it seems that I am lacking on the portal department, I would love any of you guys to show me how you use it to max range or if you have any trick to know when you are reaching the max. It doesnt have a range meter so I keep messing the portals when i need them.

For the love of god, if you see someone exploiting/glitching/hacking from our server or any server or even exploiters from your server, report them, we cannot do anything if we don’t see it, and no I personally don’t accept that kind of attitude towards a game, we will win/lose fair and square. Please dont judge a server from a couple of bad apples.

Back on topic, we are having a blast this week, keep up the good fights ET and FC.
Eredon, We know the feeling of losing a lot of fair weather guilds, we lost a lot of guilds last month. But also means that the pve players may get interested in WvW which seems to be the case with SF. So dont lose hope, the people that stays after they stop the free transfers, are the real citizens of Eredon and will fight for their server as their home.
Hope I don’t sound weird but that’s how I see it.

Is it just me, or does GoM have far more players this week than they did during last week’s match? :-/

yeah, you’re outnumbered. but considering i saw both SF teams and HOD teams put rams on SM walls i think being outnumber isn’t your only problem.

Oh, don’t even get me started on the dingbats on our server who have been building rams on the walls. A little part of me dies inside every time I see this. Such a waste of perfectly good plans and supply.

I believe that pve guys getting interested in wvw is a good thing, that may have been the case in there… dont bash them without explaining why it wont work, we, who have been playing since start need to do a lot of explaining of tactics and zerg.

We will be fighting next week it seems, best of luck with your problem as it seems that our server is suffering the same fate, I hope all servers get balanced and the “skill” of players starts to be more important that zerg numbers
