A new fun build. Grants almost any boon in the game and with a 100% boon duration, you can be the most effective support in the game. Keeping dps up time high in fracs, or raids while offering some decent healing. Making use of the minstrel gear was my goal! Tell me what you think! Also the missing sigil is the sigil of concentration ( the only reason to take two staffs )

My friend is able to equip 2 of the same type of doubloon on his 2 one handed weapons. I wanted to use the same on my ascended staff, and it would not let me equip both doubloons.
I run a dagger dagger frost aura healing tempust. I noticed that both the frost aura from dagger and the shock aura from dagger have the same duration. It is not using your base duration (3 sec for shock and 7 sec for frost) instead it is 5 seconds each. With runes of radiance it should be about 4 sec shock and 9.3 sec. I hope this is only a bug and will be fixed, because it makes it really hard to chain frost aura if the auras you have, have a different duration then the ones on your allies.
Why VA not worth taking?
High healing power/shroud flash=LfD.
Low healing power/camping shroud=Vampiric Aura.The competition seems cool, really.

I am one of the few healing/ support necromancers. I have solo healed raids before. I love how Anet is able to make a necro still feel like a necro, but is able to heal. I only wish that Vamp aura was turned into a sig and made into an elite skill. I really like Vamp aura, but it is not worth taking in blood magic. With the lack of healing, or support elite skill (other than golem charge) I hope they can consider looking into making one!
How do you get the 4 stacks of bleeding easily on to make use of Blood Blond?

This build is insane, in both pve, and pvp. You are so tanky and get so much sustain. What would you do to improve the build?

You would be helping your team by doing damage, and in Guardians case supporting with blinds and blocks more than you would by “healing” for 30 seconds, and then doing nothing useful for the next 3 minutes.

Dodge, block, and blind = exploit you heard it here folk gw2’s active combat system is all just a big exploit.
The zerker meta is based on exploits …. not those three mechs… when did I say that

Healing role is really nonexistent in this game, and the way it works is if you use the tome to heal you are useless at all times in any sort of team setting. If you want to be a dedicated healer, this is the wrong game for you.
Keeping your team alive and able to fight without breaking combat “dps up time” is useless?
Please do not change the tomes. It really makes healing viable on the guardian. You already have so many AOE pulsing heals passively, so please DO NOT change it. I really liked the elite skill that made it so that tomes lasted 30 seconds. Also, none of the current healing builds center around signents, tomes just really felt like an elite skill as opposed to another passive for the guardian.
For those who wanted a support/healing build, I run this in my dungeons/fractals and have tried it in PvP. I had a game where my team never died because of my heals. Let me know if you think it can be improved or changed! Have a great day !

Yes this is a cheese build for FUN. Make sure you get the ogre whistle so you can have up to 5 pets at once!

I have no problem with zerker, I’d just love it if people stop hating when people don’t run zerker (I run soldier’s on my guardian). I’d also love it if everyone stopped telling people to do zerker. Yes! Zerker gear is not my problem if you want to play Zerker, go ahead. It’s the “Only Zerker” mentality. Where I prefer build like: Aoe conditions, or buffer boon builds. Other play styles are viable, but ignored because Zerkers and " top " theory crafters claim they are useless. I just recommend to try and play other build, and find what you want, and what works for you!
- Oddly enough, you can play as you want now. If you want a dungeon meta to accept any build, you are expecting the impossible. It will never happen, unless all builds are literally the same — and where’s the diversity there?
- Since you can make your own LFG, the comment about needing a premade is false.
- Such complaints invariably devolve down to, “I want the convenience of pugging while playing the build I want to.” Since the OP seems more interested in being able to join any group than in actually taking advantage of the opportunity to get what he wants, he is really after the convenience of getting his way without having to do a kitten thing beyond joining any group in the LFG.
- Every idea that has been put forward to “allow” diversity boils down to requiring certain builds. That doesn’t add diversity, it kills it. Required builds would be the death of anything goes PuG’s.
I guess you following you build is a diverse as you want to get.
I can play how I want, unless I have no friends on and everyone wants to do speed Zerker clears and kicks you
This Zerker meta has to end. It has killed the diversity too long. This game has such a unique build system, and you should truly be able to play how you want. However, unless you have a pre made, then people will kick you. Start building your toon the way you want to!
Don’t follow the “meta” it has no diversity. You should play how ever you want.
Try it for yourself, all the traits that say they affect you when aegis ends, or is on you, affects teammates.
It does apply the buff too allies. I have tested it.
This build focuses on applying buffs to your team Via Aegis. Giving anyone with Aegis a 20% damage buff and a heal when it is broken. You are also very hard to kill, and provide tons of healing.

I took Mending because the build has a huge weakness to conditions. With inspiring banners I can keep 100% up time on all but the elite one. The sigils I might change thank you for your feedback !
I love playing support… but also love doing damage. Thought this would be a nice way of doing both (not meant for speed clears, but for fair dungeons and fractles)

I don’t play with Berserker groups. I don’t approve of the play style. So I still don’t see how having three kits is better then a bunch of heals from Elixer gun and turret, with some decent CC. also being able to revive people. (the turrets aren’t there for the damage, but the buffs/CC/heals)
I’m somewhat new to engineer, but I love supporting in this game. Just asking if you think this build is viable in PvE. If not, tell me some changes you would make while keeping this play style.
Just a fun build I use for PVE. You ckittene the Wurm instead of bone minions for single target fights if you desire.

also forgot to note the pets attack from poison mastery scales with your condition damage. I did just test to confirm.
The pets poison really doesn’t last very long, and only one of them applies it. So I don’t feel too bad about taking poison mastery, I have plenty of survive ability (for me anyway)
Spike trap does only give 3 stacks, but they last for 21 seconds and hit 5 targets. (also can crit the one time it hit, so i can give more stacks)
The torch is great with that aoe that causes burning on 5 targets and has 8 pulses that can crit causing more bleeding.
The only trap that only his 3 targets is vipers nest.
If I took what you recommend it would greatly lower the aoe condition damage (which is the point of the build) however I appreciate your input and will look into it.

Including pets. you have 11 AOE’s, 7 ways to cause bleeding, 4 ways to cause burning, and 4 ways to cause poison: and those aren’t even all of the conditions this build has. Decent team support with war-horn and healing spring.

The most efficient way to do most dungeons is to stack at certain points, lure the mobs to you and then kill them with AoEs.
Not being in melee range is a bad idea as you otherwise don’t get buffs from your teammates (e.g. Empower Allies or Might from blast finishers in fire fields) and you might pull mobs away from the rest of your team.
Not having AoEs reduces the speed your team kills trash mobs, however it’s not much of a problem if only 1 or 2 don’t have AoEs/cleave. The problem with Bow Rangers is that their single target damage is nothing to write home about, either.
Sadly, the only good build for Rangers for group content is 1H Sword+Greatsword, Spotter and traited Frost Spirit.
I’m sorry but I disagree I’ve done many dungeons and Fracs.
All i can say is that you’re not helping the image that many people have towards rangers.
Unless this is just for solo content, in which case whatever is fun for you will be ok.

Yes that’s my fault, sound have made that clear.
Appart for a few little things, it’s pretty ok – stun break and condi removal are pretty useless in most pve content anyway, and I personnally never thought much of a passive stun break once every 90 seconds.
Overall, you would achieve higher condi damage with rune of undead, and 60% condi duration is pretty useless – most of your conditions are ticking, and the 1/4 or 1/2 seconds you gain on most skills are not taken advantage of.
So I’d replace the toxic cristal by a regular one.The following is just opinions
I’d replace survival cd reduction with off hand training – depending on the situation, and I’d take sword over axe – cause I like to have a distance and a melee option, and melee main goes well with torch (I find). Plus swords allows for jump heal combo with Healing spring.
Geomancy on SB seems weird, but I guess it depends on your gameplay (need to swap while in melee)
I’m not sure of when agony gets applied. If it’s after your condi duration (eg: 5 secs from earth sigil * 50% duration = 7.5 * 20% duration = 9 seconds VS 5 secs * 70% = 8.5), 50%, it’s good, otherwise I think sigil of accuracy (more precision) or bursting (more condi damage overall) might be better, especially since you have different conditions.
I think pet conditions scale with yours…from what i can see. Their poison is the same Dmg as mine.

Alright the thought behind the build is massive AOE condition damage. Please tell me what you think needs fixing
