Karka reward chest unfair

Imagine if one class had a base of 2million hp and 10million damage. That wouldnt be fair would it? But would a single person use the silly argument that “life isnt fair?”

The way things go in games, the players of that class would tell all others “We’re not really that OP, you guys just need to L2P”.

FS: Looking for another small guild

My guild is down to two players that are active daily, but since we spent a lot of effort building the guild up we are reluctant to let ourselves be absorbed into a bigger guild. Something tells me there’s more guilds like ours out there. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to work together running dungeons, building experience and friendships, and not having to pug? Me and my remaining guildie are both experienced gamers, non-elitist and mature. If you have a small guild and would like to build a lasting co-operation whisper Maldorora or Shenoba ingame or leave a message here.

Whatever the result, whoever thinks differently will say it’s just a vocal minority. It’s a nice argument, works anytime you don’t like what someone is saying.

Definitely worth sticking to at least until you levelled to cap. That said, I don’t agree on the “happy customers don’t post” part, or rather its implication that all the non-posters are happy. Since the number of players will always exceed the number of posters, that means that whatever happens to the game, players will always be happy.

Still not convincing. If the difference is slim to none, it is slim to none also in the fractals. Would have worked just as well with no stat advantage but only an agony mechanism. Or are you saying the slim and in now way beneficial advantage are somehow necessary for the fractals? No matter how you twist and turn the numbers, it all sounds like apologetics. If there is to be any good argument for introducing stat advantage, the advantage has to be noticeable. The other way around, well it doesn’t really honor the intelligence of the players if they happily chase air, does it?

If the noticeable difference in wearing ascended is slim to none compared to wearing exotics, what exactly was the point in introducing them at all? As far as I can see, this argument is working strongly against ascended gear. Split the community and make people leave game by introducing items of no particular importance? Sounds like a brilliant move.

How many here are playing less? And why?

1. Was more or less only in game except when I had specific questions to search for answers on, now I take frequent breaks in game to view the forums and also follow them more outside of game time.

2. Playing in game about the same amount of time as before, but with less enthusiasm since the Lost Shores patch.

3. Disappointed in the future plans. Not seeing a long time ahead in game for me, no desire to enter the fractals. Once my chars are all 80, that’s probably my exit from MMO’s for good.

The shareholders opinion and any users opinion can be completely different to this is no proof at all that they are listening to the com. And I just want to know what these miraculous channels are where the majority leaves their opinion while we dumb minority are left here on that obviously useless forum if we follow ur logic.

Not entirely sure if this was directed at my post or Thorgal’s, but if it was mine then you missed my point. My point being that speculating which particular view is the majority one is pretty pointless since it’s just speculation that doesn’t lead anywhere. Stating one’s opinion about something is what the forums are for, certainly. And mind you, a minority can still be right and a majority wrong. Just look at politics, the wrong party always wins! ,-

So the discussion has moved from the pros and cons of ascendant gear to what constitutes the majority view? What’s the actual point in discussing this? Even if this could be taken beyond mere speculation (which it can’t) it’s not an argument to silence either dissenters or supporters, and last I looked MMO’s aren’t democracies; the only people with a vote are the shareholders of the company. ANet can see the server populations, and if they take a huge drop or rise steeply following this patch, they won’t need that much analysis to figure out why.

Absolutely agree. Maybe it’s a bit too easy, but the whole setup with the golem suit and the supergolem skills are just awesome fun. When the story ended I had wild imaginings of how this sort of thing could be used so much more: was thinking about entire dungeons where everybody would get special kits or suits with new skills, a golem pvp mode (oh please please please!) and whatnot. While that may be taking it all a step too far, more stuff like this would be so much fun.

Another thing about this quest was that Vyacheslav didn’t move, nor could he attack from range, making him pretty much a sitting duck for ranged skills.

Had the same issue today. Quest seemed totally impossible with red circles overlapping each other all the way across the bridge. After a few minutes the mortar fire stopped hitting the bridge though and it was possible to start pulling mobs. Not sure what made it unbug itself.

Refrain from replying if you don’t have anything constructive to add? Usually works.

Edit: I am sitting on the fence myself. Seeing mostly a bunch of rude remarks in response to legitimate concerns makes me want to ditch the game just to get rid of the community.

Who thinks ascended items are 'Exciting'

Not excited, shrugging my shoulders and trying to understand what this means for me.

I was part of a successful guild in the gear-grind game I came to GW2 from, so I’m well aware of the addictive nature of ego-stroking by seeing numbers grow. It was so addictive, in fact, that it made me keep on playing even though the actual gameplay content left me very underwhelmed. Taking a step back, GW2 seemed like the perfect answer – to play for fun instead of figures.

Have two level 80’s now, enjoyed it even after having full exotics and wasn’t particularly worried that there wasn’t any better gear on the horizon. Certainly not going to start grinding for new stuff either. Feels a bit like going from “all game is endgame” to “the game ends at 80”, but as long as there’s some jump puzzles and exploration achievements left, I’ll stick around. I wonder where the people that doesn’t want gear grind are supposed to go though.
