Anet is a company that knows how to prioritize. Race change? Def not in their book anytime soon. They care more about focusing on rolling out their updates and additional living stories. Also stated in a prior post that they would love to get Cantha in an expansion.
Race change will never happen. I understand the point of the thread, getting yes’s and no’s… but, why? It WON’T happen. Stated by Anet, numerous times, and they don’t care how many threads are made with a tally of yes vs no.
Robo, that comes down to actual system specs, frame-rate, mhz (monitor), video card, processor, ability to actually PRODUCE people on screen. He was talking about Norn being “too big”, not people being invisible. Renss, I see Norn all the time in pvp, gimme a break; again, it’s personal preference, it doesn’t limit your ability. You’re excuse and reasoning is that of a child. GL trying to get a race change though, it wont happen. Re-roll.
With the way the personal stories work for races and the path you have chosen, it wont work. NC has even said it wont be happening, its something they just aren’t interested in working on, and I don’t blame them. Focus on patches and content I say.
People are so care-bear these days its honestly getting pathetic, gaming as a whole is being whined about by a bunch of children. People whining about time wasted, you’re playing the wrong genre; MMO’s were and some are designed to take TIME to get things done; just because you enter a dungeon, doesnt mean you’re guarenteed to WIN, its meant to be a challenge people, figure out what you did wrong, try again. The way some of you talk, its like you think you should auto-win the second you enter the doors. People whining about GW2LFG not being good enough, dont use it; I find groups in game all the time, the old fashioned way; like how I did in EQ. Gimme a break, just do us all a favor and stop playing.
P.S- yes, I can see the skills on any race just as easily. Saying otherwise is foolish. Norn Guardian uses Whirling Wrath, followed up by an Asura using the same skill. They both spin. Sheesh.

I agree there have been lots of posts on this topic. But frankly, it needs to be said again. The game should of been released with them. Coglin, the “issues” most people speak of, are pathetic; and in a practical mindset, arent issues at all, but childish complaints.
I really hope you are kidding… if by some miracle you are serious… LOL. You realize that if I hit the TAB key, I will find an enemy regardless of their size. You cant even say you weren’t aware of the size difference; read the back stories, LOOK at the character models during creation… people like you are the ones who probably whine about how you need classes to have a specific appearance as well and are against the complete visual customization.

Steven, you’re ridiculous… to blow something like this out of proportion just shows that some people will never be content with this game, despite the developers efforts. Heres is a quick tid-bit. Refugees are moving south to avoid the storm, with all of the belongings they can muster… they use a Dolyak to do so and help carry said possessions. How do you get “Zomg we can ride them! THEY LIED TO US!!!” ???
P.S- Objectives change when they have people crying on the forums for mounts. Mount with no speed buff = cosmetic mount which makes both parties happy. But to assume a piece of artwork with a tiny ridden dolyak on it means we are getting that? Come out of your cave and stop playing GW2.

Gotta agree with this one. No reason why “ride the LIGHTNING” cannot be used to cross gaps. It was that way for a long time, even in beta, cant give me the “wasn’t intended bs”. Its bad enough that Lightning Flash cant be used to cross either.
Thanks, I used S/D for awhile, but it has nothing on D/D with the way that I tend to play. Just coming back to the game and trying to figure out what I should be doing. Talking to people in game I’m going to run AC and have my full set in 7 days or so. Then i gotta figure out my accessories.
So I have been playing my Ele since Headstart and I have done the occasional forum gazing at builds but I have a question. I am a D/D Ele like most that I encounter, the difference being though… I have a full set of Power, Prec, Cond DMG gear and not P/V/T. If I get P/V/T accessories, would that work out the same? Instead of the vice versa route with Armor being P/V/T and my accessories being P/P/CD. Thanks for the replies if my post at all makes sense and isn’t too noobish :P
+1 for this. I loved GW1 and would absolutely throw money at the screen for this. (anybody who says "well go play GW1 then, stop talking; that’s not practical, its the same world, they should still be there, older looking or not.)

Hey guys, got bored of my 80 Ele that I have had since head start, starting over to try and reclaim my love for GW2. I have seen prior topics and read them; but the questions I had weren’t really answered. I am level 16 (Norn) and just got to the second zone. What I want to know is; what skill points should I be buying, that are useful in most builds so I do not waste any, considering how important they can be later. I want to focus on DPS as well, so what weapon sets should I be focusing on to get a good grasp of that? Final question. Stats and Traits… Help? Please.

I think I need to find a guild that I fit into. But, with the 7 day restriction, it makes it difficult. Wish they would get guesting working already. Yeah Noki… the social aspect of this game seems off. Esp since my RL friends I started with have all quit on me.
Hey guys. Im an 80 Ele and have invested a lot of money (RL) into this character. (Event skins, pets, dyes, etc) I love GW1 and I love the sequel as well. However, I have not played the game seriously, for a few months; even though I want too. Basically what I am looking for, is some type of guidance I suppose… I am sitting here, not really knowing what to do (partially because every guild I join seems… empty; there is simply no life too them in this game.) I know what I need to do, but getting there seems like such a drag. (Map completion, dungeon runs for skins, fractals for the shinies, and of course… the legendary grind.) Perhaps I just need a set group of people to “static” with and get all of my goals completed, who knows.

Hi guys, I am looking for an end-game guild that can work together well as a team and as a family. My goals, in no order, are to gear up (accessories via Fotm), 2 daggers from AC, 100% map completion and then the Legendary grind. I am hoping to find a guild, big or small; that knows what I mean when I say “lets work together” to make all of us succeed and be known by our look; not just our tag.

We feel that everyone should have the ability to contribute no matter what time of the day it is. How we’ve came to this conclusion is that no player’s time is more valuable than another. Everyone has different off peak hours for whatever reason. Players should not be punished or unable to experience and view the same content as everyone else because they play at a different time. They too are paying customers.
The above quote was taken from the WvW forums regarding “Night Capping” by Matt Witter (Game Designer, ANet). Please apply the same logic to World Events, especially if you’re giving out drops like legendary precursors. Please stop the “one-time” events tied to a specific time of day. There are lots of suggestions on this forum about how to get around it. Implement phasing on a character/account basis, let it run repeatedly for a week or a month, etc. The rest of us might not be playing during peak concurrency hours, but we’re paying customers too.

I hope they DONT get rid of 1 times events. This an an MMO people, a LIVING and BREATHING world… things will move forward as you are not there…. people started playing MMO’s way back when for THIS type of gameplay. Dont like it? There is the freaking door to RTS/Shooter/RPG/etc…
If somebody ran it twice, they only got the chest once… There is no exploit if the person decided to run it twice for simply enjoying the event. Actually, I commend the people who ran it twice; enjoying the game!? BLASPHEMY. Gimme a break.
So phase 3 starts at 3pm EST. I am there right away, ready to go… putting in solid game time, it is now 4:40 and my client crashes while pushing the ancient Karka back, reinforcement bar at the brim of completion. I quickly log back in and find that I am now in a different overflow that has not even started the event yet! So Anet… you’re telling me that I now have wasted the past 1hr40mins playing GW2, and have to start all over for this “amazing reward at the end of phase 3”? Come on… this is some serious bullkitten.
Phase 1 is complete.. If you didn’t already do it up to Noll you can not participate in it.

Hey guys, I have been going through offers. I should of noted that I am looking for an American Server (not directed towards everybody, obviously) I want a semi small guild with a group of people who could potentially know everybody by their first names, I don’t want to be the voice unheard in a large group, so to speak; not the way a guild should ever be. I want a guild that will literally work together, farm together, and gear each other out (I am already in full 80 Exotic). I have TS3 and Ventrillo.
Title says it all. In a current guild with 400+ people and it just isnt for me. I want a guild where we feel like we are doing stuff together. I will relocate if necessary, prefer if the server is WvW dominant as I plan to spend a good amount of time in there.
