I noticed this when SAB was last out, but I never found anyone mentioning it. It isn’t included in the item collection achievement, so it puzzles me. The item is located in world 2, zone 2, right after the area with Tribulation Cloud. There is a door to the item, but it is blocked by a stone wall with a fist that has the down arrow on it instead of the normal swirl symbol, leading me to believe there is an upgrade to the Push Glove somewhere.

What is the item? How do I get it? If it requires an upgrade, where do I get that? Thank you.

If this was removed on purpose, the least you could do is add a skill to the skill bar will a 20-30 second cooldown which allows the doll to scream. That way players are not annoyed, and those players that loved the scream still get to enjoy it.

P.S. – I noticed that Caithe now has the same scream (only lower pitch) when falling from the Metrica building at the start of the memory seed story. If this was a bug, perhaps there’s a command overlap between the Princess Doll and Caithe.

Yes, this does happen, and it’s an old bug due to accumulating fall damage that has, and probably never will be fixed.

It was most likely done on purpose. If you notice, they modified the map. When you entered the map, characters used to be placed in a generic armor. Also, the end area of the jumping puzzle is different. It used to be a lot larger with a cliff you could explore that had an area with an invisible teleport back to the beginning of the map. Of course this was either unintentional or only there originally for testing purposes.

Now, this “improved” version has a bug where characters will randomly (rarely) get knocked down for no reason consistently for about 20 seconds…and it’s possible to get partially stuck between a surface under the end area and the actual ground you’re meant to walk on, causing your character to seemingly rubber-band when walking towards the chest. This is most likely do to overlapping surfaces. The effect will go away as soon as you are teleported back to the start.

As Charrbeque.8729 mentioned in his post, several sounds have been missing since an update, including the sounds the Princess Doll makes. The Princess Doll no longer does her scream when running or jumping. My friend and I both loved this sound because we found it cute. My friend loved it because she’s a mom, and I love it just because it is cute…enough said =D. Also, there’s nothing more terrifying than a group of cute little princesses running at you while screaming. =D So please fix this. =) Thank You.

First of all, I love how people assumed I was from a lower tier server. This is not true.

Second, the idea I originally proposed was not a copy of EotM. I merely mentioned EotM as an easy way of understanding my concept. Of course, if you had read my post closely instead of skimming over it, you would have seen that.

In addition, the reason why EotM is not as successful, sometimes resulting in one-sided rollovers, is because people still have a choice. If the current match is not going as well, people will more often than not, choose to play on the original WvW maps, where they have a little more control over their fate.

As for “fun” game-play, humor me for a bit, as I compare WvW to a Left 4 Dead versus match. In L4D, it is 4 vs. 4. If both teams are awful, good players usually do not stick around until the end. If one team is significantly better than the other is, the weaker team will usually rage-quite by the end of the first round. IF, however, teams are fairly well matched, players stick around until the end and really get into the game when it comes down to the wire. The same could be said about WvW. Good players on poorly performing servers where their competition is also poor (unless really devoted to a server for its community or some other connection), will likely transfer to a higher tier server to better enjoy the game. Otherwise, it would be boring for them. For those players on servers where they are getting steam-rolled, players will often become discouraged and stop playing for a while. If, however, the match-ups are fairly even, game-play will become much more intense and fun.

It is not rocket science.

What is currently holding WvWvW back, is server identity, which, as has been pointed out, is a joke, as communities are rather fickle. As soon as the going gets tough, many guilds and players are quick to abandon a server. With the release of the mega-server, server identity will only be further destroyed as more and more players begin to mingle with players from other servers. The only real viable sense of community exists with guilds and friends, which is why Anet should introduce a form or guild vs. guild match-up. I did not mention team vs. team, because Anet has already implemented a tournament revolving around this.

Regardless of what I say, server identity will eventually fade away. Those who oppose a more balanced system in regards to identity are only clinging to a sinking raft.

Hi. I have bought all the cultural armor for my sylvari elementalist, but am now thinking about remaking said character as a different race. If I put my cultural armor into the bank, will the armor still be unlocked in the wardrobe when the update hits?

I don’t wish to wait for the update because I wish to unlock the attributes of the new elementalist before I need to complete tasks to unlock them.

Okay…so why not have it guild and player based (for those without guilds)? Positions could be determined by guild count/activity, and current point status of each color. Voice communication would primarily be guild based, but many guilds already tend to use their own channels for WvW rather than public ones, so it wouldn’t be much of a change.

I’m merely providing ideas to balance out gameplay. Sometimes “terrible ideas” can evolve into good ideas with enough feedback and ingenuity.

When players log into WvW, they should be assigned a certain color for 24 hrs based upon each color’s population and total points. This would even out matches and still provided a chance for players to defend the garrison etc. If a team of players enters WvW for the 1st time in a 24 hr period, they should be grouped together. This way, players could still enjoy the ability to play with friends. Then, for WvW tournaments, rewards could be placed on individual points accrued, with a higher prize range (ex: players 1-50 receive a legendary weapon, 51-150 receive an ascended weapon chest, etc.)

With the mega server update being released for PvE server balance, this change to WvW would relieve even more stress on servers as there would be no need/desire for a single server to be overpopulated as Blackgate is. Also, no one server would then dominate over the other, creating a happier gaming experience for all.

Essentially, this would be like combining the EotM gameplay with the server guesting system and megaserver matching system.

For 100 laurels you can get an everlasting cat tonic, but you cannot get an everlasting dog tonic, or any dog tonic for that matter =|… So I’ll ask my question: Do Anet employees hate dogs? D= Please add an everlasting dog tonic to the game.

P.S. – Being able to turn into a golden retriever would be a bonus +best =D

I have been watching my health, and the damage still varies. For instance, today I was below 1000 hp when I belched, and I did very little damage to Adnul. This has happened both when Adnul had high health, and when he had low health, so the glitch is independent of the health of Adnul and I.

Thank you for the guide BTW. I would’ve won today using those techniques had my belch not glitched and done very little damage >_<

As the title says, Adnul Irongut is still glitched. Adnul will belch more than once in a row during a belch match with him. He will sometimes even damage me without belching (perhaps due to his bluff carrying over to a new game). Also, Adnul will sometimes still spam his bluff during a match, despite the update notes saying he’s “calmed down.” These glitches are making Adnul very hard/frustrating to beat. I have even logged off for the rest of the day at points due to my irritation.

P.S. – I’ve also noticed that when I punish Adnul with a belch, sometimes it will do very little damage, while other times, it will do a huge amount of damage…almost as if my critical percentage and damage were somehow affecting the game.

This post is about the annoying glitches, not me QQ’ing over how hard it is. I would just like a fair game.

Even trying to access the area with the Incubation waypoint on a character with the area already explored yields the same result. Jail… >_<
