I created follow-up, ticket (685073:WvW reward not correct)
Hello Gaile,
about a month ago I submitted a ticket (643093:World association) about my world association during the WvW tournament. The GMs answering this ticket assured me
that my association had changed from Underworld to Sea Farer’s Rest, since I had done much more things at Sea Farer’s Rest server, and I closed the ticket.

Hello Dimitris,
Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team about your World-versus-World Season 2 game world association.
We understand you are still able to see you are still associated with your previous server. We apologize for this inconvenience. However, we would like to clarify that as stated on the post you mentioned, the association is based on your participation through the tournament. In your case since you have done much in Seafarer’s Rest, you are associate with this server.
I’ll be glad to forward the information you’ve already provided, so the development team can investigate.
We appreciate your understanding. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
Regards,
GM Enigma
Guild Wars 2 Support Team"
On June 17th, 2014 after the update I received the wrong tournament reward for Underworld server, so I made a new ticket (685073:WvW reward not correct).
The GMs answering this new ticket refuse to acknowledge that according to the ticket (643093:World association) my world association had changed. They say that I got the correct reward because I was associated with Underworld.
Please provide me with the correct reward for first place, or if you cannot, refund me the 2400 gems I spent to transfer Servers, since I did it for a better reward.
It sound like bad video card memory to me
I would like to say to people that think 2 init is not enough that thieves have many traits that depend on the amount of initiative, like first strikes. (The thief does 10% more damage when his initiative is over 6)
In a case where the thief stealths, loses his first backstab because his opponent dodged it and then successfully lands it, with the change I propose the damage output of the backstab would probably be -10%, because he lost 2 init after his failed first atempt, and when he landed it his initiative was below 6. This is huge.
Also I believe that the people how think that CnD is just a 6 second CD skill they just do not understand how initiative works. If I fail a CnD 2 times in a row it does not mean that I just have to wait 6 sec and retry. It means that I cannot use any skill at BOTH weapon sets, except of auto attack.
It is not like failing to land a big CD skill, but then I have 7 more to burn (or more if ele or engi).
Initiative is like the mana pool used at other games. You can burn all your mana trying to do 1-2 powerful spells, but then to do any other you will have to wait for your mana to regenerate.
That said, maybe the change I propose is better if 1 init is used instead of 2, but this has to be balanced after testing.
(edited by Kanenas.4906)
In this case, I totally agree with him.
Ghost I understand what you say. With the change I propose the thief will have to burn 2 initiative to bring down the 8 sec Aegis or to remove the blind, and can backstub afterwards.
Do not you thing that the opponent who used a skill to blind the thief, or burned a skill to get Aegis or to block should get a reward for his action also?
This sounds fair to me but plz stop the suggestion on unstealth on block it is lame,
in spvp a good guard vs a good thief the thief would be unstealthed for like 8 times until he can hit him with backstab. the problem is that block/blind is too eazy to use and the duration longer then stealth , this would surely destroy all backstab based builds…
but i guess that is what you want.
How does it destroy the backstab builds? If a block or blind is longer in duration than the stealth, the thief will not hit anyway.
What I propose will reward the good thief, who will not try to hit when he is blinded or when he sees that his opponent is blocking.
The bad thief who will not notice these things should be punished.
Make all Stealth Attacks (Backstab, Tactical Strike, Sneak Attack, etc) cost 2 initiative.
If the attack hits, the thief will take back 2 initiative.
If the attack does not hit due to block, immunity, dodge, blind etc no initiative is returned.
This change will promote skillful play from thieves (not spam 111 for 4 seconds until it hits), it will bring the D/P closer to balance vs D/D, and will also reward the thief’s opponents for dodging or blocking the right time (this is a huge one).
This comes from a thief player. I hope this change will be enough to stop all this “thief is OP” meta, and will make fighting a thief more fair for defensive classes and also more enjoyable.
I am still waiting for an announcement like “We have banned xxxxx number of accounts for hacking” (yes a 5 digits number) from Anet. Like the announcements they made for banning botters, and exploiters.
I really think that the reason of the delay of all the changes they have promised (craftable precursors, new legendary, new skills, balance patch, new sPvP game modes etc) is the release of the game at China. They just do not have many people to do the development fast enough, and they cannot spare stuff for real time in game moderation.
I hope that it will end soon, and we will see much better things happening in game after May and after the game goes live at China. It will be the perfect time for the people who will probably leave to try ESO, to see good content added and return.
I am sorry, but you do not want to understand what I say. You can not do balance by looking at one skill and comparing to another. You need to see the full picture and balance the professions as a sum of mechanisms, traits and skills. You do not balance “shadow return”, you balance the Thief.
The thief needs buffs for condition removing (almost not existed), and stun brake (zero stability) not nerfs.
(edited by Kanenas.4906)
Shadow step and shadow return are 2 skills, not one. If you want to clean conditions you have to lose the “teleport away”, using a second skill. I hope it is clear enough.
Also, since you like to compare skills, what do you have to say about these two very similar skills?
Signet of Shadows and Signet of Air
The thief’s one has passive +25% speed + blind active, while the elementalist’s has passive +25% speed + blind + stun brake + damage active. Does it mean that ele is OP?
As you see comparing skills one by one leads to nothing, do not do it.
So your only point is “another class is brokenly OP so thief deserves it too?”
Interesting point of view…
P.S. we know how shadow returns work….already discussed in previous posts…
So if you you know how shadow step and shadow return works, do you want to say why you keep writing lies like “and gave them a cleanse everything and tp away while breaking stun”?
Oh ma gawd it’s embarassing how thieves always play the part of the pro players in forums, and spend their time whining about how UP their class is…
Guess you never tried a berserk mesmer with 1 sb on 40 sec cd and 1 condi removal on 40 sec cd, you know, experiment builds.
But the problem with this community is how everyone blame people for using the same builds and then ask for builds on their class subforum, guess you love using dp pd thief too…
Oh ma gawd, it’s embarrassing how I did not notice it earlier! I’m really sorry for upsetting you.
You asked so kindly for an advice “By the way if you are a thief, pls gimme some advice” and I tried to help, then you come and say that “thieves always play the part of the pro players in forums”. You also look like imagining things, and making guesses based on them…
How is this “short memory illness” is named again?
lol, yes. So much -hmmm.. how to say it not very offensively- ignorance in one phrase triggered my self protection mechanism and caused me to stop reading.
Yeah sorry for the ignorance, but you know, nobody is bad by nature, i’m just stupid
I was refering to the fact that the interrupt build i was using is not efficent vs a class that can stealth everytime he want, you know, interrupt build works on “controlling” your opponent.
By the way if you are a thief, pls gimme some advice, i’m just rank 34 in pvp.
Sure, I will give you a clue or two! Stealth is not equal to "unlimited stunbreakers w/o CD”. Also “a class that can stealth everytime he want” exists only vs a bad opponent who lets him do it.
Always glad to help!
lol, yes. So much -hmmm.. how to say it not very offensively- ignorance in one phrase triggered my self protection mechanism and caused me to stop reading.
“Now we are 1v1, my stunlock build is not the best against a class that have unlimited stunbreakers w/o CD”
I stopped reading the rest….
My theory can be found here . I agree with you about the bloodstones and Abaddon.
Only when all the cool damage buff bonuses from traits, runes etc will be changed to work with condition damage too.
Since you are going to change and fix the bugs in runes and sigils at an upcoming patch,
can you change the way the Superior Rune of Balthazar, and the Superior Rune of Tormenting are triggered when Withdraw is used as heal?
When the thief uses Withdraw as healing skill, the sixth bonus on both the runes triggers after the withdraw animation, and when the thief is away from his opponents, so it makes it useless.
Please make the sixth bonus trigger before the rollback, as you did with the cure of immobilized, chilled, and crippled conditions.
Played mes exclusivley for almost 1 year, i only use moa on annoying thieves who spam d/p stealth, because they cant stealth as a moa and killing them when they are a helpless bird is priceless. Moa is a SITUATIONAL tool, it is not overpowerd, you can dodge it, block it, stability im 99% sure stops it, you have plenty of opportunities to stop yourself being moad, it even has a blatant cast animation, its not our fault if you’re too stupid to avoid it. and doesn’t need to be nerfed.
I nearly always run mass invis op, BUT when faced with a particularly annoying thief who abuses his ability to steatlh, or an annoying warrior, i slot in moa morph and do my upmost to destroy the turkey before it escapes. You should save your tears to complain about real class balance issues such as the place of rangers and how they are compared to thief/warrior in pvp meta. This is a L2P issue. not a cry nerf cause it killed your op healing signet warrior issue.
This guy proves why Moa should be fixed. He just admits that the skill is a I WIN button. He slots and uses it for an easy win whenever he feels like he is gonna have a good fight.
Really? All that while you can report someone for botting anytime you want?
Yes. Why do you find it contradictory?
Because I believe that two very similar and serious violations of the game’s code of contacts should be handled the same away. Having an option for one and not the other simply means that hacking punishment is not a priority for Arenanet. Probably because it does not effect the gem shop.
Really? All that while you can report someone for botting anytime you want?
Or you want everybody and their dog spamming support with botting requests on a whim? It is OK for boting but not for hacking?
Man, think twice before you make post like the above.
inb4 lock. There is no hacking, since there is not an option to report someone for hacking, right?
This skill is practically a 10 seconds UNBREAKABLE daze.
It may be useless in sPvP, it may be just a troll skill or whatever.
It is not a balanced skill no mater the CD, or cast time. The only reason they do not change it is because is not a popular skill in sPvP, and they only balance/change what is annoying in this game mode.
I think I figured what is happening in the living story.
Scarlet is the reincarnation of Abaddon. She knew that she was something special since she was awaken, but she saw all the truth during the experiment with Omadd.
Her goal is to find and reunite the 5 pieces of the bloodstone, and once again flood the world with magic. She has built the probe network to find the missing pieces (it is known where the 3 of them are). She found one of the pieces under Lion’s Arch, indicated by the green probe and that is why she wants to invade the city.
Now I explain why I believe this:
1. Back in July we had the option to vote for one of two new fractals. We did not meet Scarlet yet during that time. One option was the Thaumanova Reactor and the other the Fall of Abaddon fractal. My theory is that both of them were related to the living story. If we have chosen the Abaddon fractal, Arenanet would have shown as the fall of Abaddon, and something about him returning.
2. Ceara had nightmares about her past life long before she became Scarlet and realize who she really is.
3. Ceara changed physically Scarlet giggled as she raised her hand to her face and watched the red thorn vine chase itself between her fingers like Abaddon did according to this text:
“Prior to his fall, Abaddon was the chief deity of water and wisdom. It is said that while his heart was still just and fair, he was a handsome, calm figure with imposing blue eyes – deep, like the colors of the sea. His generosity was only matched by his namesake, the ocean, which was both his dominion and said to be the physical manifestation of his blue wings. Princely amongst the gods, he was recognized as being the wisest amidst the Six, and his insight was not only welcome, but was also the most highly valued when the gods held council.
Few would recognize Abaddon as he is now. His eyes – once as deeply bright as the seas – were replaced by sunken, abyssal shadows. His wings lost their lustre and became scythe-like, bloodied and battered. It is said that Abaddon’ s appearance is a direct representation of his heart. If that is true, then he must have fallen far."
4. Her voice is changing, she is changing to her true form.
5. The phrase “act with magic, act within reason, act without mercy” is attributed to Abaddon’ s teachings. It fits well for Scarlet too. Abaddon was good at corrupting people to fight for him, Scarlet does this also.
6. If Arenanet wanted just a mad villain Einstein, he should be an Asura. Scarlet is just to intelligent, to special to be a common Sylvari.
7. Arenanet told to us that our villains was someone we knew from the past.
8. The note at the end of this wiki page. “According to Jeff Grubb, the bloodstones’ fate will not be revealed in the initial release of Guild Wars 2, but may "have an influence in future expansions.”
9. Sylvari are, according to the lore, very resistant to the dragon’s corruption, so it could not be a dragon the thing that corrupted Scarlet.
They are running rampant, its getting old a tiresom fighting someone with 3k+ armor 25k+ hp while dealing insane brust spikes with conidtions. You’r trying to nerf berker? look at conidtion damge frist, remove dire set.
If someone has a condition build his goal is to survive longer than you, and kill you over time. If someone has a zerker build his goal is to kill you faster than you will kill him and as soon as possible. I do not see a problem here.
Burst spikes with conditions is only possible with many confusion stacks if you are silly enough to continue smashing 1111 at the same time. It is not like having 3k armor and being hit for 10k with eviscerate or backstab for example.
The thief’s method of buying them a few seconds however is stealth. Stealth is far more effective than other means of “panic buttons” because it not only stops the onslaught but allows for an escape. If an engineer pops a cooldown and blocks all incoming dmg or the elemental turns to mist or a ranger uses “protect me”… etc etc they don’t disappear altogether. You just hold back your attacks until the effect ends.
No it does not. You do damage to thieves when they are stealthed. Channeling skills like this will continue track, hit, and kill the thief even when he goes to stealth. The thief has not access to protection also, to help and reduce the damage, like for example mesmer when they go to stealth. Learn to use channeling skills and AOE versus thieves. Stealth IS NOT invulnerability like the other skills you mentioned.
When the theif uses one of the 4 ways most have to stealth they can run away or close the gap between the two players completely unseen. In a team fight this means even if you catch them making a mistake or out of position they will always be able to slip away and rejoin the fight later (often to finish you off).
Have you not ever seen a warrior running away, while passive healing fast to full health, and then come back for more? Or a mesmer going to stealth, and blink far away, while she left her phantasms back to continue and harass yo,u and passive healing also? An engineer using rocket?
Many classes have the ability to escape, please do not act as if only thief can do it.
I don’t think the theif is so much overpowered but the stealth mechanic is really fustrating when you outsmart and outmanuever and opponent only to have them refuge or whatever and get away every time.
You did not brink any knock back skill like this ? Or some AOE to kill the thief while he is in refuge? Then do not cry if he gets way. You should know that the thief has to stay 4 secs inside the refuge, otherwise he gets revealed. Push him out or fear him out etc, and finish him.
Also, I would like to add here that if you want to win vs a thief you should use CC on them. Thieves do not have access to stability (only one elite skill at 90 sec CD, and most glass cannons do not slot it), and it is easy to abuse CC on them. Glass cannons also have the bad habit to not bring a stun breaker in their build. Use it at your advantage.
Now that you are more informed about thief’s stealth, go fight some of them out there, and kill them if you outplay them. But please do not expect to win vs better and more experienced players than you. You should lose to these thieves, and any other class if your opponent outplayed you.
The closes thing I have to a stun breaker is “infiltrators arrow”. Don’t need anything else when you actually know how to play.
OK, you can use infiltrators arrow after you stun locked to death, and returned back to the WayPoint……
I mean, you can actually kill warriors without abusing of stealth, you have plenty ways to avoid damage. If you haven’t the capability of spam stealth you will be fine, you only need to rely more in others mechanics and not only abuse of stealth.
This one teaches us how to kill someone by avoiding damage, good one too!
The amount of ignorance in this thread is to much high and makes me sick! I’m outta here.
Could you please tell me how you remove conditions? With P/D and shortbow?
And do not say Pain Response, please. I wait some serious arguments from you.Perhaps he could give us a link to a video of his play. That would help settle this little debate.
So, Jitters, up to that challenge? Let us watch you and let us decide for ourselves.
Come on man, the guy said that he never lost to a warrior, using as utilities shadow refuge, blinding powder, and skale venom!!!!! No stun braker! And killed them with poison, torment from venom and bleedings from short bow 2…..
I wander why people feel the need to make stories and post them at a game’s forum.
“I have two layouts of stealth. Weapon sets Pistol/Dagger Shortbow.
1) Hide in shadows and Shadow Refuge.
2) Shadow refuge and Black Powder (my heal skill is withdraw)
I know I can use cloak and dagger, but I do not. …"
You wrote it no?
As I said you use only 2 condition removal skills (if traited)? One at 40 sec CD (Black Powder) and the other at 60(Shadow Refuge).
Could you please tell me how you remove conditions? With P/D and shortbow?
And do not say Pain Response, please. I wait some serious arguments from you.
Balance the game. Not sPvP. The game.
Now your team makes balance changes for sPvP only, (which is played by what? 10%? 20%?) and has left the other game totally broken:
1. Have a look at LFG tool. Warriors and guardians wanted only. Maybe if you are mesmer or elementalist you will be accepted. Necro or ranger? bad luck sorry
2. Perplexity runes, D/P thieves, Husain Bolt warriors, elementalists going into keeps from downed state, unkillable rangers under water and many many more are ruining the WvW fun for months. They remain unchanged because they have no impact at sPvP. Yet the balance teams thinks that it is priority to nerf the thief’s poison at next patch….go figure.
Please consider balancing the GAME. And if needed add a second balance team for this job.
Warrior (buff)
All other (nerf)
That’s how Anet works lads. Vigor nerfs, poison nerfs, etc to all classes guess which class buff…..
zip
So, you say you survive the current condition meta with only 2 condition removal skills (if traited)? One at 40 sec CD and the other at 60? Cool story bro.
That said I believe that the D/P set needs to brought down a bit. The blind finisher at 5 is not needed.
If blocks cause reveal, then make channeling skills stop hitting when thieves go to stealth.
It makes sense also, no?
I agree with you OP. Warriors have not any weakness anymore, and they should not keep the 18k base health. The other class which has 18k base health, the necromancer, lacks of mobility and this is his weakness.
If the necro starts a fight he has to stay and fight to death. The warrior can pop the invulnerabilities and will run away while healing to full health.
I also agree that elementalists, and thieves should have their basic health risen. Both these classes have seen their survivability and mobility greatly nerfed since the start, without getting nothing in return.
Actually if you could even get remotely close to where havoc is it would be a really good thing for you.
Again, you do the same mistake. You contribute nothing to the topic, and you make comments like you know me.
You may know him, but you do not know me and where I am to be able to judge.
I wander why I keep answering to you…Anyway it is the last time.
This topic is about warriors, and if they should keep their 18k base health or not, after all the buffs they got.
I think they should not, since they have not any weakness anymore. Please talk about this and stay away of personal attacks and insults.
The fight vs perplexity engineers is usually a very tough one. Keep in mind that 10 stacks of confusion can deal over 2k damage when you use a skill, if your opponent has high condition damage stats (and they usually do). So a BP and HS combo will deal 4k damage to you!
So always see if you have confusion applied to you. If you do, do not use any skill, just try and keep a safe distance from the engie, and his turrets. Most of the time his power is very low and can not harm you with direct damage attacks.
Patience is the key in this battle. Wait for the right moment and burst him down
I do not do PvP, only WvW, so I will talk for WvW.
It is good to keep auto attack because many times at WvW the fights last for a long time. You will soon get tired of pressing 111111, even more if you fight using shortbow, or pistol mainhand.
That said, I think it is mandatory to disable “auto targeting”. Auto targeting can many times make you use skills on the wrong things, even mobs, especially when you fight classes that stealth, or blink.

On topic: Warriors are fairly well balanced right now. The constant cries for nerfs by those who are unable to recognize this simple fact are just cries for help because those people can’t be bothered to learn to play properly. Anet has largely ignored, and will continue to ignore, the mass negativity that these people bring because, like the OP of this topic, the make such ridiculous suggestions and fabulous claims that the devs quite simply can’t take them seriously.
You seem to imagine a lot of things, even what Anet ignores and what does not. “Cries for help” lol.
I would like warrior to be 15k health because the time I am ready to bring them down their Forest Gump run skills and their invulnerabilities are out of CD, and I must chase them all over the map again. (the usual bad ones, I have my fair share of wins and defeats vs good warrior players).
I am right; you are wrong. It’s really that simple.
Anyway, this is my last reply to you. I have learned to stop arguing with people like you.
They bring me down to their level, and at low level they win by experience.
(edited by Kanenas.4906)
Please go read the post, and come again to comment. Especially the part:
“When designing and balancing the classes, we try to make sure that class roles and identities stay intact. So, in doing so, we make sure that there are rules and boundaries outlining the capabilities and weaknesses of each class.
Warrior
We want the Warrior to be capable of good melee damage in a sturdy body. They can still do some decent damage at range, but they aren’t as good at it as the Ranger (with their pet). They have a hard time taking enemy boons down, and instead, have to just go through them with raw force. They may have a hard time with enemy conditions, and may need to ask for ally help in order to keep themselves free of hampering conditions."
If you fail to understand that the dev was talking about abilities and weakness for each class, and that warrior’s weakness should be conditions, it is no problem.
It seems that you are not able to understand the meaning of a full texts.
I agree with you, with this move they made me an unsatisfied customer.
And an unsatisfied customer does not buy again, and that is what I plan to do, if the situation will not change.
As for your request, I advise you to make a post at the accounts forum, asking if you qualify for a refund. Gaile reads that forum every day, and she has the power to change things. She is the one who initiated the solution with the reskin problem, and I appreciate her very much.
I found the post I was talking about at the OP, for all those who say I made stories!
Here it is , it was written by J Sharp.
For the old players to remember, and the new ones to learn what was the Anet’s vision for professions about a year ago.
.
First, since you do not know me, please keep phrases like “You have no idea what you’re talking about do you?” for you friends.
Second, I play the game and read the forums since the start, what I say it was posted in the forums. I wish the search tool was working, so I could find the thread. Maybe a dev or another person can step in and prove me true.
Third tell me where do I say that speed is added now. I say how is the situation now.
And if you like to put on table some arguments instead of insults, tell to us where do you think the warrior is not good comparing him to other professions, so he has to have heavy armor PLUS 18k base health at the same time.
Edit: I found the post, here it is
(edited by Kanenas.4906)
Only problem with backstab is that is very easy to land as it is now.
Just make smaller the angle that a hit is a “hit from behind” and BS is fine.
Allow me to disagree. Even 850 damage per skill use is quite powerful for a rune set imho.
Also the 6th bonus (5 stacks on interrupt) has 10 sec base duration and 8 sec CD leading to 10 stacks and well over 2k damage per skill use! It should NEVER be possible out of a rune set!
Easy to overlap with plus condition duration food, and even without food.
And no, I do not need godlike skills to interrupt at will if i used a pistol offhand as a thief, or If I am an engineer.
With my build (most of the time i fight with over 2k condition damage) 8 stacks of confusion is over 1700 damage per skill used.
Is it fair for a rune set?
When the game came out Arenanet’s developers said that they want warrior to be the heavy armor class. They should stay and fight face to face with the enemy.
Also they said that they should have bad condition removal skills, so they depend on others for this. That is why they gave them the top, unparalleled stats, 18k health PLUS heavy armor.
This did not work well, and warriors were for a long time a viable choice only at PvE. To fix this, patch after patch, Arenanet gave anything to warriors.
Now, they can run faster than anyone, they have good condition cleaning skills and immunity on demand, top regeneration, etc.
I will not say if they did good or not. I say that now, that they have anything to use
MAKE THEM 15K BASE HEALTH.
This way if they want to bunker, they will have to use the proper skills and traits.
If they want to go YOLO doing 20k critical with rifle, it should be possible to be oneshoted themselves the same way too. (this is an example, I do not claim that zerker rifle warriors are OP. The opposite, they do not know when you use a reflect skill and are easy and fun kills this way)
(edited by Kanenas.4906)
I play a condi P/D thief and I use these runes. The only interrupt in my build is steal at 22sec CD. I do this to “balance” the use of these runes, since I could use pistol off hand as second weapon set, or scorpion wire for easy abusing, but I do not want to play like this.
Also, I would like to use Tormenting or Balthazar runes instead. Sadly they do not work well with Withdraw, the healing skill I use (the 6 bonus triggers not when I press the heal, but at the end of animation when I’m away of my enemies). Please Fix it.
I tell you that these runes are very strong, even while the duration bonus does not work, and the 8 sec CD at 6th bonus that they added.
I would propose these changes:
a) Bonus 4: Add 1 stack with 10 sec CD, instead of 3 stacks at 15 sec CD.
b) Bonus 6: Add 3 stacks on interrupt at 20 sec CD.
I thought they somehow messed up with these runes. Does anyone remember when they first came in play, that they were bugged and the 6th bonus applied confusion on the user?
I think they wanted the rune to apply confusion to anyone interrupting YOU, that is why the came without CD. That would be actually very interesting, especially at the time, when CC warriors were everywhere.
You guys are the balance team, and I’m sure that role has to necessarily include all aspects of gameplay in Guild Wars 2. So I’m asking: is this balanced?
Here is your mistake. They do not balance the game, they balance sPvP only. That is why they leave many bad and unbalanced things, that do not have effect at sPvP, unchanged.
The list is big.
Perplexity runes, thief perma stealth, warrior running like Usain Bolt, mesmer moa, elementalist mist forming inside towers from downed state, ranger unkillable in water……
