I may not be the most active WvW player, but I’m pretty proud of FA militia (I was one myself for quite awhile – I always felt included and that I was actually helping)

But the opposite is true as well – you have a lack of knowledge of how any other server works period. You see how TC has been affected, I’ve seen how FA has been affected (my own WvW included).

My real point here is that all server get affected by these things – and all typically in the same manner – sorry, no unique snowflakes here.

I try to learn as much as I can about a server when I face them, including their culture, how their server is via guesting, etc.

I know enough about FA culture in WvW to know that whether or not the commander is on, they’ll still run small groups till a commander gets. I’ve seen this multiple times, as I’ve been learning how all act and react to situations.

While I see your real point, it’s not a very valid point. Sure, all servers may have some issues with various factors being presented in and out of the game, but it’s easy to see how the servers react to those situations if you watch and pay attention to them.

The current RL situation with finals week and the new dungeon has not affected FA the way it has TC, and it is obvious to see that.

The server culture is totally different between the two servers, and you don’t seem to be able to understand the basics of TC mentality, you should try spending some time on TC, it’s a pretty friendly place.

I plan to start spending some time on DB, and showing them the way of the Pirate.

Personally, I believe you’re making some major generalizations on how things work on FA. But I will agree that FA adapts. This has nothing to do with guilds vs. militias though.

Sorry, I don’t need to spend time on TC to know if its a friendly place – I’ll take your word on it (no sarcasm). But the same could be said about FA. And plenty of PVE happens on FA – we are not based in WvW.

I still am continually fascinated how FA is demonized on this forum, when FA seems to be full to the brim of fun, nice and helpful people.

Probably going to fall on deaf ears – but to call FA a troll server is hilarious to me. I’ve been on FA from the beginning, and even before we got to be more of a force in WvW, I always found FA players to be nice, determined, and willing to take orders. Sure, there are people out for blood. And we certainly have some servers we dislike more than others, but I have a very very low tolerance for trolls, and I experience seeing them on a rare basis (which I quickly ignore).

Same could be said of TC – I don’t actually know how you guys are in-game – I just wish you the same acknowledgement of us.

And Kain – you guys are like “Hey guys! Remember us? Yeah, we’re the guys kicking your kitten HELLO!” lol. Good fights (although I’ve had severely limited WvW time lately – I hope to change that)

I come here on this forum thread every week asking people to join our friendly multi-server Dolyak Parade guild to forge friendship and and friendly rivalry amongst servers, and neither FA or IoJ have shown any interest.

Probably because for FA at least, we were deemed enemies of TC and CD when a small group of FAers decided to kill the Doly on the first event. Videos and threads posted to make FA look bad because of it doesn’t exactly make me feel like joining up.

One last thing to say about IOJ guilds going elsewhere (mass exodus if you will):

It think it goes without saying, with paid transfers coming in at this point in the life of GW2, it is a pretty unique situation. If these guilds want to be able to play on a more competitive server without having to open their wallets to do so (especially large guilds where they would in no way convince everyone to pay to move servers), I cannot say I would blame them. And on top of that, with the obvious decline in players on the WvW battlefield for IOJ, they were a part of a domino effect. After paid transfers start, how effective do you think IOJ would be in recruiting players to come to an already dying server?

Look at the horde of recruitment threads started in the past few days. We all knew this was coming. IOJ just was more concentrated than most other servers.
