Yeah. It looks ridiculous to say the least.
I just don’t understand why they didn’t make them about half the size.
I think I’ve had a change of heart. I like this sylvari more than my other one.
Maybe not the most attractive character but he’s beautiful on the inside!
If you don’t like the wings, don’t use them. It’s simple as that.
^This. Some of you act as if you are forced to get skins.
No no no. I do not want to look at your ugly kitten pretending to be a fairy.
Go back to Aion.
Updated Kawaratake from page three in the thread. Now friendlier than ever before!

Evil without tentacles or spikes ftw!
what mask is that?
and what pants?
so freaking kitten
The mask is the 3rd mask you can pick when creating a mesmer character, the legs are the order of whispers light legs.
Also this is prob the best one here so far, awesome.
Looks like you answered for me – and thanks for the kind words! It’s always nice to hear a character design is appreciated.
I’ve heard this is happening, but I was able to see it moving just fine on other people. (Don’t have one yet).
Please do not spread misinformation like this. What you’ve seen is the slight inertia from the character moving. Not the animation of the item.
This is a known bug as mentioned by a moderator here:
“Hi everyone,
The team is aware of this issue and working on solving it. Anyway we are going to remind them about the tentacles only moving in the item preview.”

I couldn’t disagree more with the people in here screaming to report. If a guild leader makes the mistake to trust someone who shouldn’t be trusted then that mistake is on him or her. ANet should not be involved in player interaction unless absolutely necessary.
Reporting trivial nonsense like this means that more severe issues that need the attention of the GM staff will suffer delays.
kitten happens, guys. Own up to making a bad decision and move on a little wiser instead of crying to the GMs.
Whoa – I found an old version of one of my characters in there. Nice work!
Anything that isn’t based on an animal. We don’t need more furries.
Complete lineup since my sylvari caster was so well recieved in here. Everyone uses at least two sets – most of them more than that.
Yes. I like brown.
To me, the point is it is easier to get a replica of a toddlers colorful plushie backpack than it is to get something remotely fitting to the game and a character.
This! It is absolutely ridiculous.
Rangers should get a quiver when they’re made. Not when you’re fully geared up and with nothing to do anymore.
I’m hoping that they won’t add them. I would rather see more cultural armours added.
Any class specific armours would likely be styled to suit humans – making them a complete waste for any player who is interested in maintaining a racial appearance in their choice of armour.
GW2 is chock full of lore; I noticed this once I started to slow down and actually listen to what the NPCs are saying instead of rushing from reward to reward.
The lore you get is still very limited and you have to go out of your way to experience it.
They shouldn’t just toss everything in your face but some basic stuff about the world should be easily available for the players.
To give an example: why isn’t there a flavour text or popup for POIs? Why do I have to go google the lore of the game to find out why POI #234 is a point of interest in any way?

Introducing Kawaratake – Hopefully the scariest looking sylvari you’ve ever seen!
Good grief!
He is creepy!
I really hope he is a necro
Haha! I’m afraid he’s a mesmer
Showing off my new sylvari here too. Hopefully the scariest one in the thread so far.
Introducing Kawaratake – Hopefully the scariest looking sylvari you’ve ever seen!
Is this a troll thread?
Dear god, mate – If you think that’s griefing then please stay away from pvp from now on.
A lot of people seem to miss the underlying reason for these complains. Guild Wars 2 was advertised as this living, breathing world where humanity is on the brink of extinction – desperately fighting the elder dragons for survival.
Then you log on and see Bob running around, wearing aviator shades, bunny ears, boxing gloves and swinging cartoony wooden sword.
What worries me is that with every patch they just seem to add more ridiculous short-term content that closes the gap between a good quality title and the dozens of cheap korean f2p MMOs.
There’s nothing wrong with seasonal events and the chance to goof off but can we please see some more additions of long-term content and things that stay true to the original premise they sold the game on? Add the goofy stuff when you have a solid base of content for players to enjoy – not when they sit around in town bored with nothing to do.
Like it or not those guys aren’t doing anything wrong by reporting role-players .
It is not up to the players whether it will be deemed offensive or not. Anet makes the call and they’ve decided that whatever role-play these people do falls outside of the rules of the game.
End of story.
I hope you learned your lesson. I for one hope nothing bad comes to the player you reported. It is no ones fault but your own for trusting them.
what a horrible horrible person you are. i for one, hope something incredibly bad happens to you so you know how it feels to be the victim.
OP: im sorry you had to learn the hard way. i hope anet is able to help you and get back your gold
What a horrible, horrible person -you- are for wishing harm on someone for having a different opinion on trade pvp.
It is unfortunate for the threadstarter that he was fooled by such a simple trick but I hope the other guy won’t be punished for it. We don’t need an environment where anet has to babysit players when interacting with each other.
Apply some common sense before sending off large sums of gold and you’ll be fine.
It’s the warrior elite signet.
The problem nowadays is you don’t need a group. Do you think people enjoyed looking for groups for hours in EQ1?? No, they did it because they had to, but they met amazing people along the way in the process, which I daresay made the experience more fulfilling than if they had just soloed their way to the top.
It seems MMOs completely skipped the middle ground between “must have a group” and “don’t need a group for 95% of content”
This needs to be said again.
The players of this genre are at a point where they don’t know what’s best for themselves anymore.
Since the game is one month and one week old. I personally think that most that are max level are console gamers. Most folks like that only think of themselves.
Don’t expect this to improve for another couple of month or more
This is the dumbest post I’ve seen on this forum so far.
Because this game is designed with the solo player in mind. There’s no benefit to being grouped so people don’t bother.
They need to either add some areas with seriously upped difficulty or start offering incentives to group.
The question you should be asking yourself is “Why do I feel entitled to 100% completion without running all the content?”
This game is already lacking in things to do at the endgame. Please don’t encourage ANet to remove what little there is out there.
It is 100% completion. Not “only-what-I-like-to-do completion”.
Not just capes or cloaks but full use of the back slot for more than simply engineer backpacks and guild backpacks.
Give us a full selection of backpacks of various types, weapon sheathes, quivers, capes, cloaks, scarves – the works.
“When those completed the whole PvE world, they should have a reward. Then, on top of that, you can add a PvP world achievement, and even eventually an achievement for both.”
This is the only acceptable solution. Provided all three have rewards.
There’s some serious carebearing going on in this thread.
If PvEers should be able to get all their achievements and completion outside PvP then PvPers should be able to get 100% world completion without ever having to do any PvE.
Edit: Also calling killing people doing a puzzle in a PvP area griefing?! Dear god! Just don’t go there if you don’t want to risk getting killed.

That is the worst possible attitude one could have:
“Our product is flawless. If the customers don’t like it then they don’t get it.”
Really?
If someone does it repeatedly for hours then sure I could see that being considered harrassment.
But accidentally training people is bound to happen all the time from normal gameplay. If it happens to you just chalk it up to lesson learned and work on your situational awareness.
As I understand it that name is likely used by another player if you never “took” the name yourself when GW2 released.
The legacy names were only reserved for a few days and then opened to the public.
