I gave up on the soundtrack after I ordered it, pre-ordered, and never got it. My friend got sent two copies while I got sent none, it’s still bullkitten, no reply from them after I e-mailed them either. 30 bucks down the drain, nothing returned.
No real thoughts aside from a big hell no to the faction division, IMO.

I love that some players reaction is to state “join a bigger guild”. Pure comedy.
There’s no reason NOt to unless you want to be anti social in an MMO. Which is just silly. Play a single player game if you want to be on your own.
Ugh….just, join a bigger guild and stop being anti social. It’s an MMO, get out of your cave and TALK to people, be part of a community.
Sure, we’ll see in about a year (or two) when my guild will have gathered enough influence to open up guild bounties.
Here’s an idea, stop being anti-social and join a bigger guild, not much difference other than you not being in direct control, aside from ranking up and maybe becoming an officer.
Honestly, I’ll never understand why people play an MMO if they don’t intend to be social, yeah I understand having your own guild…but really, gotta be lonely doing that kitten.
Welcome to the bandwagon.
Could try reporting it in the support forums or in-game…who knows, might be a way ANet can help.
They’re not going to remove it now, I can promise you that.
If you don’t like it, don’t do it. The whole purpose is to provide alternate ways of leveling. Besides, being out leveled for a zone does NOT stop you from doing it, that’s what downscaling is for, scaling you for the zone.
It’s been there since the beta phases, if I recall other ones you talk to say different classes in that area as well.
I told my guild about this and we were all semi-happy to hear that the upgrades are still there on the old server and not destroyed. We could transfer back to that server that has low population, said population doesn’t care at all about WvW and the guilds that did have already transferred off.
But a notice when transferring would have been nice as I didn’t know about it before hand (obviously). But I’m not sure I should have needed to research this before transferring. That’s another debate, I guess, for another time as to whether it was up to me to know before hand or up to Anet to make sure I knew before doing it.
Thanks to those with the constructive critism and/or help.
You should of researched it, it’s a pretty obvious thing to do. Normally when transferring people research where they’re going a bit too.
As far as going back to the low pop non-pvp server, well, if you want your upgrades/etc that’s something you’ll have to deal with.
If not, deal with it and get new ones on your new server.
Make a decision and live with it instead of being depressed.
Hope you continue to enjoy this wonderful game.
Aww come on guys, have a bit of heart…
Is it really so hard for ANet to place a warning on the transfer screen?
Really?
Sure it is in the wiki and yes, it would have helped to have read that first, but a simple message added to the transfer screen isnt that difficult to code in and would certainly have avoided this stress on the players.
It’s really more about their knee jerk blame of Anet and them not even bothering to look up if it can be reversed.
Always fun to blame someone else for your own inability to do some research and the resulting mistake, isn’t it?
You’ll have very little sympathy from people that know better.
As was said, it’s all still there, so transfer back and be happy instead of going all occupy wall street.
I’d also like to add that they have very likely had this event developed and ready to go for a good while now.
You’re just being cynical.
Holiday events are something fun to MMOs, they should always be there, always.
Enjoy the event.
Also, people would kitten just the same if it was not here and they were focusing on bugs.
It’s somehting bothering other classes as well, far as the AA goes.
I have trouble on warrior/guardian hitting things in melee range, mostly things like portals/tables etc.
It keeps missing unless you get in a very specific place…annoying.
I see no problem with soulbound items…it’s nothing new to MMOs, this is probably something only people with no experience in the genre would complain about.
It’s good because other games have done it is pretty much the weakest argument you could have made on this.
Soulbound items like harvesting items and such are just senseless, but I don’t necessarily have a problem with other items that are soulbound. Comparing games, DAoC didn’t have soulbinding, but items would decay and break over time. Without that mechanic, if items aren’t Soulbound, when someone crafts X weapon, it remains in the world forever, that’s one less of X weapon that will ever need to be made. Same with rare items, once one is found, thats one item that never leaves the system.
When one person needs this item, they buy it, they sell when done, to the point where every new instance of this weapon introduced to the system lowers the value of the ones already there until they’re eventually worthless.
So fine, remove soulbinding, but there needs to be some form of decay implemented, or it would simply destroy the economy in the long term (moreso than it is).
I think you’ve misunderstood somewhere along the line, nowhere did I say it was a good thing.
I said it’s not surprising, and you’ll get used to it.
Is MMO some genre of games where players are so conditioned to poor design that silliness like this doesn’t even spark a reaction?
There’s no reaction to be had about it to be honest, it’s nothing new so why be surprised?
You’ll adapt, don’t worry.

@Rise
I haven’t crafted at all. Leveled by story and DE’s.
I have 12 gold on a level 27 character, all from nothing more than crafting materials.
It’s not hard. All you need to do is save, only spend on things you REALLY want or REALLY need.
The only times I’m ever broke in MMOs is at the very start, it puzzles me so many people have such trouble with money management.
We’re multiplying…goodie.
Gold is easy to make tbh, sell things on the trading post. Namely crafting materials. I’ve had 10g at level 20.
Down to 5 and a half now, due to dyes.
Really does work, ty for that Smith.
