Hi everybody,

Vanishing Legacy have opened their doors to new members!

We are a mainly European guild and mainly based on the Gandara server, but obviously this isn’t important for 90% of the playerbase! We are a guild big enough not to be small, and small enough not to be big. With around 280 members there is always someone online to listen to your grumbles and have a joke.

We make regular use of TS3 and would ask that if you wish to join, you take the 2 minutes required to install this as it is useful for weekly missions and guild events.

We are a level 57 guild with all the trimmings!

It is also a massive part of our philosophy that “Real life comes first”. This will never change.

So that’s what we have to offer you. Now, what do we require from you? We require that you be at least 21, you be ok with a casual/relaxed hardcore game type – so, most of our members would describe themselves as casual and social, with a group of say 20-30 who would deem themselves hardcore. We require you install TS3 and finally, we ask that you represent us 100% and make us your main guild.

OK, I wasn’t going to weigh in on this but now I can’t resist.

All those complaining, just behave. Stop.

1. Just because something is in the game DOES NOT mean you have a right to get it.
2. Do you own everything else? Do you own all the Legendaries? Are you complaining about “not having realistic access” to those?
3. Do you have all the other exotic premier skins? Mjolniir, Feathers of Dwayna, Volcanus etc etc?
4. Do you own all the different, expensive back pieces?
5. This event is going to run all year and beyond. If you want it, you will eventually get it. Stop being petulant and whining because you can’t have it now. Are you aware of which demographic is famous for this kind of attitude?
6. You can wait and get it next year.
7. We are not even a week into this event yet, keep plugging away and see where you get.
8. I will repeat my first point – JUST BECAUSE IT’S IN GAME DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO IT!

I personally loved the skin, and was willing to grind and pay for it. I must also stress that I did not pay hundreds upon hundreds of gold to finish it. I spent significantly less than I have on other normal skins. I did need to farm the JP for a couple of days, but who cares!? Nobody is forcing you to get this skin. If you want it, work for it.

Hi all,

So, I’ve never had an issue with the client before, until now… it simply doesn’t work…

I boot it up, and it does the initial data grab where it grabs a packet of say 10k kb’s and then refreshes, as though it’s about to head to the log in screen, or download a patch, but then sticks at "downloading 0kb (0kb/s).

All my internet connections seem fine and no firewalls are blocking it.

I tried all the repair fixes, changing the target path name to change ip, deleted the .dat to try a full repatch, and even removed GW2 entirely from my computer.

The client (both 32 and 64 bit) just won’t install/download anything.

Sad face. Help!

I think this is a genuinely wonderful idea.

Having a statue like we have in our HoM’s would be great. With a customisable inscription, just like our Guild Message in the roster.

I’m +1’ing the idea.

Let’s just insert “Hard Mode” like in GW1.

As has been iterated above, I do not believe that skins should be tradeable.

Fractal skins are locked behind a time investment and to some degree, a skill barrier (in that higher skill = more fractals completed = more dice rolls).

The only thing that could and perhaps should be reworked, is the reoccurrence of skins. It’s quite annoying when only a couple are left to get but you keep getting a torch…

Perhaps removing skins already acquired from your loot table? Or being able to salvage skins for a new currency and then trading say 5 of them in at a fractal vendor for your choice of skin. This would also enable people over time to get what they want, as long as they are willing to work for it.

Nope! Entirely new parties both times.

So this weekend (30/08) myself and a guildie have had the same issues upon entering fractals (on separate days I might add).

When you try and enter the fractal, you receive the “world is full” message usually found when trying to enter a full overflow.

Leaving and reinviting does not solve the problem, and nor does a full relog.

After much effort we managed to get by this one time, only for a member to be dc/d on fractal 3 and was rendered unable to enter, with the same error.

It’s really quite annoying and is happening more and more commonly throughout the guild.

This guild was the home to hundreds of players, in an alliance at least 2000 strong, in GW1. For various reasons, it was never recreated in GW2, but that time has now come!

We have just set ourselves back up and are laying the foundations to become the strong and massive community which we used to be.

I just wanted to post and express my thanks to the customer support team at anet, especially in the face of those slightly more impatient customers.

I have just had my second account incident with them (mobile authentication after getting a new device) and they dealt with it within a matter of hours.

Both times I have dealt with them, they have been swift, efficient and courteous.

Keep up the good work guys.

why are we all still talking about this?

Legendaries were always supposed to be one of the hardest items to obtain. This means that in their very design, they were not intended to be wielded by every single player who wanted one! In a game based around vanity and cosmetics, it makes sense to have super rare items.

Yes it sucks to not be able to get one immediately if you really want it, but bear in mind that this game is 1 year old…if you want one, and you’re a fan of the game, you can keep playing for years, and eventually you might pop one. If not, start squirrelling away some gold and save for it. It is much easier to save the gold for a pre, as opposed to hoping one comes out of the mf.

Legendaries are rare…end of.

My thought is that this could be an effort to basically “reset” the gem rate before introducing the Korean player base. So that they can use one universal tp.

More gold in people’s coffers + gem store sales = more people converting gold > gems (outweighing those buying gems > gold) which means the gold price per 100 will come down, giving Koreans a slightly less handicapped start into the game.

+1 to this idea.

As long as it is a case of “opting in” to using town/armour clothing.

I for one have never bothered adding town clothes or styles to any of my alts, because i cant be bothered switching when in outpost, but if it did it automatically, i might be more inclined to style my chars.

Good for you! . I’ve been playing this game from the start.. and i got to my Level 80 END Game 1 month after it was released…
Started farming for a Legendary Pre courser and have been ever since

Put in about 1000g++ in the forge in every way conceivable over that time
Rares and exotics, named and unnamed, COF runs and 500+ L48+ Fractals ( no GS skin) VERY UNLUCY! RNG

I’ve had ZERO ( 0 ) precursors.. and still farming to get one.

I’m at the point of saving to buy from the TP
Wish it wasnt like that but its sooo RARE to get one that buying is now my only option.

Once you put in 1000g worth of stuff into the forge you SHOULD be allowed to have a pre curse no MATTER what!

This will NOT flood the market at all and give people who have slaved over this game like myself and have NOTHING to show for it some happiness

ANET needs to fix this.

I am also in the process of chasing a legendary, and have only one or two more T6 mats to go and then Dawn. It is going to be so difficult to get a hold of dawn, but anet needs to fix nothing.

I’m getting tired of people crying about not getting a precursor. They were deliberately designed, and vocally stated by the Dev team to be super rare. It is a RARE item. Some people get lucky in the forge. Some people get lucky a hundred times in the forge but who cares. Get on with your own game and get that pre.

More fool you actually for spending a thousand gold in it without stopping and just buying it on the top.

I hope you realize that you can complete one meta-achievement in a day (that means 6 achievements). There are two meta-achievements. If you can’t login for 2 days (and by 2 days, I mean 4 hours sessions each day), then that’s not Arenanet’s fault.

Doing both daily achievements requires 6 days out of two weeks possible. That leaves very little time for any summer holiday activity.
Also, just recently we were told that while living story is shifting to a new event every two weeks, it would not mean shortening the events themselves (they were to last full month each – partly to avoid the problem that OP nas mentioned).

Or only 3 days if you both the general and pvp daily’s.

Those are the kind of posts that make no sense AT ALL. You have 700G and want a precursor. “Let me buy a bunch of exotics and throw them in the forge…” I call BS on that. You could’ve bought a precursor and still have gold leftover. And now THAT makes you want to quit the game… Seriously people. Use some realistic number for once.

Another:

I just dumped 2k+ rares and 500+ exotics into the Mystic Forge TODAY, and got…. nothing.

2k rares… Lets assume they’re 20 silvers each. That’s 400 Gold.
500 Exotics… Even though they’re higher, lets assume they’re 2g each. That’s 1000 Gold.
Total of 1400 Gold… You know what you can buy with 1400 Gold? A LEGENDARY.

You know what? I just threw in 500 rares last night and got nothing too (I threw in 40, but 500 makes me look more credible). I’m so enraged I’m gonna quit this game…

Hey all,

I’m looking for a new guild. The one I’ve been in up until now has fractured and is a mere shadow of the guild it used to be.

A little about me; 6 year vet of Gw1 and have some solid gw2 time under me with multiple level 80’s. I’ve just recently started my quest for a legendary also, so it’s important that I’m a guild with people who are keen on pve as well as spvp and wvw.

It would be preferred if the guild was slightly maturer, an average age of 18+ would be ideal.

As mentioned in the title, I am a highly experience GW1 player and have recently had the time to switch into GW2.

I am not as active as I was in the first game because I no longer have the luxury of being at University! I am however beginning to get into this game (although I still prefer its predecessor at this point).
