Same issue here, it was fine until yesterday that with the new feature wvw update my ping went from normal (200) to not normal (700-1500). I’m in Sanctum of Rall paired with Henge of Denravi; also I live in Argentina, South America, and WvW is totally unplayable, my powers won’t work (until I’m either useless late or dead).
So my guess is something happened in server side.
Hi there, if anyone checks back on this thread, are you using any special command line arguments when launching Guild Wars 2?
Thanks!
No, but I am launching the game on steam, ever after Flashpoint all areas look more red and weird

I’m disconnecting, guild chat is offline, I’m getting that 40something error without disconnection a lot, tons of lag, seems that the Miami seabone croaked or something, here are my diag results
The reason I’m asking, that I just noticed now that I forgot to add to the Original Post, is that my friend is very much interested in buying GW2, but I think it would be nicer if he payed like 50 or 60 u$s dollars and get both expansions, than paying 30 u$s for HoT and then 50 u$s for the new expansion.
Pretty much that, on the community address back when HoT was announced, you guys said:
“In the future, if we release further Guild Wars 2 expansions, we plan to offer all of the prior expansions, the core game, and the latest expansion for one single purchase price.”
Are you guys going to do that with the new expansion???
Thanks in advance!!

Ok, I found something that might shed some light on what’s going on. I showed this thread to a friend and my friend pointed out that we are posting our system specs, but we are not posting what graphic settings we are using. So I began to play with the options, turned light adaptation and ambient oclusion on, and voiláh! The game still looks very weird, but less dark and easier to navigate.
Optimal? a solution? no, not close. But is something <o7
I’m having the same issues with the up-to-date drivers, windows 10 64 bits, AMD 5770 1 gig of video ram.
I’ve been having these issues and roll back. Just unlocked the new skill and completed a heart, got disconnected, only to come back to see that I need to unlock everything again :/
I’m playing in the new map, doing the new content, happens every so 30 minutes give or take.
So they are mutant!
My bad, I should have said “adult models” instead of just adults
Something that I noticed and it irks me is that in that map, Bitterfrost Frontier, all quaggans have the calf model, they are basically big babies, no adults to be found anywhere.
So what happened to all the mature and adult quaggans? What are these horrible deformed giant babies?
I have seen in-game adult formed orca/killer whale colored quaggans both in the wild and in the personal story, so don’t tell me those are adults!

Pretty much that, I want to voice out my dislike about things that are nice and pretty locked behind an RNG lockbox.
Why not just add the glider to the gemstore like all the others?
I’m more than happy to throw money at Guild Wars 2, recommend all my friends about this game; but I also like to get what I pay for, I don’t like gambling my money away! :c
Thanks for reading this tiny rant, Happy Wintersday!
Lots of love,
Kitty
Oh good! So I do have time to deal with outernet aggro and then hop back in the action! Thank you very much!!
Agreed!! Please fix this! I want to embeauten myself please
I’m having a ton of fun exploring, checking the npcs, following the stories and the hearts. Lovely!
10/10 will try to dump stranded skritts in the lava to see if I can rezz them
Some of us get real life aggro like work, school, university, college and trips. Some of us get game aggro from new game and releases.
So my question is. How long do we have to do the current events? The leylines, the bloodstone creatures, Seis running like a headless chicken? When is current event no longer current???
Thanks in advance
I love this idea with a big love!! I would love to have to visit all the cities and check on the important npcs because, well, they are important and some of them got hurt bad!!
10/10; will hear Uncle Tromkittenant about Legion Politics.
Tons of latency, lag and skill lag here, very few disconnects. It works well for a few minutes, then it freezes and fastforwards.

Bump! My questions were answered here!
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/guild-wars-2s-living-world-returns-on-july-26/
TL;DR:
You MUST have HOT
Yes, it unlocks like LS Two.
Hooray!
I get this message, then I cannot talk or read in guild chat or do anything guild related. This issue started yesterday around 4pm pacific, my friends are reporting the same issue and we are from all over the world, so I doubt that it’s just my connection to the servers.
I tried to log out, close the game, restart my computer, my modem, even tried switching guilds. It just comes and goes by itself.
Senpai Gray noticed me
I feel happy!
Durps, I didn’t see this thread. Yeap! Connection issues, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America.
I got all the sudden tons of lag and dc, here is my report.
Something is broken near Miami it seems :/

Still bugged the last time I checked, the npcs die and there is no orange event on them, so it never starts, it never completes, and the grawl spawns constantly :/
Thank you guys, I couldn’t find the official source myself that LS3 needs HoT, but seems to be heavily implied.
PyrateSilly, I didn’t ask if LS3 will unlock LS2, I asked if they will have the same unlock mechanics. Sorry if my wording wasn’t clear enough.
I’ve been doing the event for about an hour, we keep failing because it’s too darn hard and confusing. There are too many of those runner golems, there are tons and tons of npcs with orange crosswords on top of their heads, there is no easy way to know what you need to prioritize in the sea of golems with icons, it scales really bad because if you get many players around it you get even more golems.
This is very frustrating, I think we should have clearer objectives and instructions on how to succeed this event, make different icon for the tiny runners, change how it scales so we don’t get a swarm of mobs with icons, please change this!
I do notice and appreciate that the leyline sparks are now available for all players and the other achievements are easier to complete.
Thanks for reading!
I got a couple of questions, because many of my friends didn’t buy HoT when it launched, they are thinking about returning to the game before getting HoT, but my friends are asking me many questions that I do not know the answer.
Will the Living Story season 3 unlock like the previous Living Story? Do you need HoT to play the LSS3? Can you log in to unlock the LSS3 and then buy HoT at a later date?
Thanks in advance for any answer/help!
Is this npc an anti bot measure? Because it’s super annoying…
Agreed!!! I would love to throw things down the toilet faster <3
I love my guardian, I love guardian very very much. It made me super sad when Anet nerfed the revival of downed players so we cannot use the quickness to revive faster.
Why can thieves still revive and spike downed people in stealth without any issues but guardians quickness it’s bad and had to be removed?
I would like to have my quickness revival back please.
Thanks
No, ethernet cable, I called the ISP today, they did say they are having issues.
I’m getting frequent disconnects after the patch, I’m trying to do some WvW with my friends, and we are ALL getting disconnected, the 10 of us. We are on Sanctum of Rall/DragonBrand server. This group has people from all over the world, South Africa, USA, Netherlands, Argentina, and so on.
So it is not just me and my coconut internets, it’s a server side issue guys.

When you press Escape, to go Options, how much ping do you have on the lower right corner of the options window?
I’m getting tons of lag here too! Between 2000 and 1500 pings in LA, around 800 in Black Citadel. Tested other games and connections, lag is less and normal. Only GW2 is giving me problems.
I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America. Also running diagnistics in gw2.exe, I will report back soon!
The forums are a nice end game
Kidding :v
My end-game is hunting achievements, doing map clears, finding pretty armors on charrs, everything with my guild <3
We also still notice when newer designs don’t accommodate our characters as well as they should (coughBanditSnipercough).
The nifty tail covers and the switch to some more pants-like options have been nice, but I would like for the design team to be held to a consistent standard, so players can see less clipping and actually play more Charr.
Yes, there are things that still need love and work, like decent heavy armor pants that doesn’t look like metal ballet tootoos
I think we should tell them that what they are doing right and give them some love ;3
In NA, massive lagspikes last night in WvW, the zerg showed up, my powers froze and I appear dead the next 2 minutes.
Huge lag, like 5000 ping!!! Molasses lag! >_<
I saw Gaile in LA and I asked her who do I have to hug because the new outfits and armor skins don’t clip and even have sensitive tail flaps.
She told me it would be weird. So instead I’m making a thread here
Thank you developers and artist people who make beautiful armor for charr!
We do notice and thank you for your brave efforts in making something pretty that doesn’t clip or looks super bad on charrs!
Kudos! Kudos to everyone!
Did you know that you can actually blind the ele and make all the meteor strikes miss? That’s what happens when I play ele; people pull me, people blind me, I am not the most powerful class out there.
Also Dragonhunters with longbows can reach more or less the same spots that meteorstorm can. Do we have to nerf them as well?
Staff Ele is fine as it is.
Nerf thieves. :p
The rarest weapon is Anura, because it has a frog…

A friend made this for me, we got this by him doing the bombs, and everyone in the party got the achievo. Much rejoicement was had!

Make wvw fun again with the desert borderlands!!!
Another thing to add is that some tactivators meant for the desert borderlands like the Watchtower is total BS and it kittens the scouts or smaller groups trying to take objectives.
Also the maps are too small, it’s super easy to get anywhere, more with the new powers and elite specializations, the maps are clearly not balanced or tested for all the new options and toys we have.
I’m asking this because I did check the wiki, google and asked in Lion’s Arch but nobody seems to know…
If I have two guilds with different Guild Halls, and both guilds are maxed in the gathering nodes, Can I harvest both guilds once a day?
I’m asking because one of the guilds I’m in is fully upgraded, the other one is not, and we are holding on the upgrade on the second guild until we have an answer on this conundrum since we cannot find an official answer anywhere.
Thank you very much in advance!
I’m having this very same problem, we tried several times and the achievement doesn’t unlock. SO you say that only ONE person needs to run without getting revealed instead of the whole gang? I’m so giving it a try today!
