Playing a toon of the opposite gender?

The kitten filter makes some of the replies here hilarious. :p

I chose all my chars in CRPGs based on class and their personality. If it’s a brute/warrior, shiny protector or just plain evil it’s going to be male. If it’s a caster, sneaky thief or subtly evil, it’s mostly female. Maybe cliché, but that’s what almost all RPGs are about! The only time I don’t chose females with the above pattern is when they are overly sexualized. Which Charr thankfully are not.

Sadly I find GW2’s story in general is breaking the immersion too often to really RP a character through it. There are no choices so my toon is more something to watch in a story than to experience it. With pen&paper I only chose males.

But I honestly don’t find it even worth discussing what sort of character someone plays. I have only once in another game had someone kinda “stalk” me when playing a female character. Maybe because I will always play a non-human race and they don’t look very “girly”. Ignore and move on, also never tell them if you’re female or male! ;)

Most issues I had was with dodge/cloak and axe #3 illusionary ambush. Both skills teleport you around randomly which isn’t so bad in itself (chaos after all) unless the ground is filled with aoe. But they also turn the camera to face your target which sometimes was pretty confusing.

Dodge to the sides which I usually used with strafe+dodge just plain sucks. Superspeed only works when using the cloak while moving forwards. With dodging left/right the distance traveled is way too short. Could be an old-habits-die-hard issue, but the only solution I can see is turning the screen before dodging so you’re moving always forward. Adding to the confusion and micro management. I’m not sure this will work well.

Cloak itself is nice, you can evade a short blow while standing at the enemy while everyone else dodges out of the way and runs back. But tbh, sword #2 did that already. I also felt myself hammering the 1 key constantly to activate the ambushes.

Getting out of aoe though was mostly terrible, always used jaunt for that.

Damage with viper axe/torch felt much less than berserker sword/whatever. Wasn’t an issue in open world though. But no way to tell for sure without the test golem.

Wait, there is no raid story mode?

Kiza.5630

Sorry for the stupid question but as someone who has never played WoW: What is raid story mode? How is it different to the existing raid?

It’s the raid finder (I guess). Kind of like LFG tool here, only specifically for raids where 25 random players (few tanks, some healers, lots of damage dealers) get thrown into an easy mode raid version.

It was an “explosive mixture” of players most of the time. Ppl who actually raid and wanted to farm secondary equip/gold in there with ppl who have no clue about most of the stuff in there and ppl who were afk and set their pets to aggressive and moved their character once in a while.

After every wipe 25-50% of the group was recycled until you had enough non-afk players to actually beat the encounter. :p

I’d rather not see them go this route, making a raid version where you can pretty much ignore the mechanics and just zerg stuff to death with numbers.

Better option may be a “story mode” for single, with friend, with more friends like the LS instances. Because: players who want to play the story rarely have interest in raiding and players who raid rarely have interest in playing with them. So don’t forcefully mix them.

Using Polymorph Moa on … a Moa

hey at least it changed its color

That’s my favorite activity in the game! Changing colors on Moas, turning everything else into Moas which then go onto a rampage, daze people and peck them to death.

On the topic. Few weeks I reset one of the blighting towers events and told everyone to regroup at the entrance, because someone in my squad screamed “lulz, fail, respawn” when he was actually at a totally different tower. Reactions ranged from confused, angry to amused.

Not sure about this one yet, crafted Astralaria for my Mesmer. Let’s see how that turns out. :o

Chaos storm on heal trait is bugged

in Mesmer

Kiza.5630

The trait says “Staff and trident skills gain reduced recharge” which applies to chaos storm, but lesser CS is not the skill the staff would activate.

Lesser muddy terrain is listed as type survival which is correctly affected by the CD reduction.

Technically looks ok. Probably something they didn’t realize interacting with each other when they added the lesser versions of the skills.

Guess the title was wrong. I meant only iMage + the Pledge interaction. Without mixing in additional burns from Prestige.

On Prestige the tooltip is ok. The traited one on iMage is a bit awkward. But the CD is still wrong with 18s vs 24s and both skills having 30s untraited. Unless I’m missing something.

Argh, never mind. Illusion brings -20% summoning. I feel stupid now, thanks for not commenting that. :p

Been playing with the torch and https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Pledge left me confused. Below is a screen with and without the trait selected.

While torch #4 gets reduced to 24s the iMage gets reduced to 18s. Is this a bug or am I missing some further interaction here?

Also the initial burn on #5. Why does it add 3 stacks while it adds only 1, as per description of the trait, to #4? It certainly doesn’t cause 5 stacks on activation, but 3 and 2 without Pledge.

Alas, no. I have the super staff. Comes in blue, yellow, green, orange.

Hm, bummer. Still was hoping it might just be a bug. But then for grandmaster trait to only apply 3/4s evade to illusions is lackluster, too. Thanks for confirming. I’ll probably still go with illusive mind.

Maybe an interesting trait would be that touching the mirrors also enables ambush.

So currently I’ve decided not to do any pvp or wvw on chrono and instead spend the next month completing The Mechanism so I can have Astralaria finished before pof releases, and that’s all I’m going to do.

I do get the feeling that we’ll see that axe a whole lot more in the next addon. My friend crafted it and yesterday I finally converted the very rest of my gold and mats into it.

First legendary that will be added is probably an axe. I just know it.

Infinite horizon confusion (I am)

Kiza.5630

Yes without it only you can use ambush. Infinite Horizon gives cloak to all illusions which gives them an evade, but only clones then cast their ambush attacks.

Did you test this?

Because then the description https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mirage_Cloak_ is a bit vague. “When Mirage Cloak is applied, you and your clones can use an Ambush…”

Which, at least I interpret as: Mes gets cloak, ambush can be executed Mes and all clones. But I forgot to specifically test it in the demo. So either it’s buggy or really intended this way which indeed should probably change. Thanks for the feedback though! :)

Infinite horizon confusion (I am)

in Mesmer

Kiza.5630

I’m a bit confused about infinite horizon and why everyone finds it so strong.

Is it 1) because of a pvp aspect since it makes it more difficult to seperate the mes from the clones? Only for a second imo.

Or 2) because of the ambush mechanic which got me confused and I forgot to test it in the demo. Wiki entry for base mirage cloak reads: “When Mirage Cloak is applied, you and your clones can use an Ambush skill for your weapon for a short time.”

Which suggests to me that when the player gets the cloak all clones execute an ambush.
But from the comments I read, some make it sound that clones only execute the ambush if they first gain mirage cloak too from infinite horizon which would make it indeed very strong.

Kiza.5630

I agree with lots of your feedback, even if most of it is purely cosmetic and RP oriented. The axe animation kinda sold me, too. Dashing through enemies and casually catching your weapon at the end is pretty awesome!

So yes, I do love the theme myself. Enough that I will just jump into the desert with it no matter what. Still confident that in the end I will find something that feels really good, because overall bits and pieces of it sound amazing. Rough edges or not.

For melee combat I feel the cloak is something you’ll miss after you’ve played with it for a while. Sure there is no dodge jump anymore (I’m looking at you SAB!), but with it my mesmer felt like every 2nd skill triggers another distortion.

Also like the mirrors. While it may be a bit dangerous to get to them and they could persist longer they still trigger the cloak and weakness on 5 targets. Jaunt may be an excellent skill to “collect” them. Overall the play style feels faster.

I initially disliked the sword when I tried out all weapons. Thought it was only meh. Then I found zap, created bolt and sword has become my favorite weapon. Same plan here: get astralaria and go! I always played power mesmer, so condition will be something new and fresh at least for me.

My guess is that mirage will be a love or hate kind of thing. There is not much middle ground. Either you dislike most of it, because other builds might bring more to the table or you love it, because it has a certain flavor.

TBH I like it that it’s not another “mandatory” spec to take. Just something different.

Map and enemies
It’s really beautiful to look at. Gives a desert feeling. Enemy names made me chuckle, Sandsharks! Someone in the team must be a bad creature horror movie fan. Now all we need is a Sharknado! Found the Lion King reference, too. Fire Hydras pack a punch if you pull 4 of them. Other than that they feel a bit like a HP sponge. Could do better with less HP and more firepower/skills I think. Let the severed heads explode!

Bounties
Too few different ones. They seem to be inspired by D3, I like the randomized skills. But please also generate random names for them. This will end up in hilarious name combinations. The quaggan cactus, uh legendary Choya, was fun but lots of ppl with me seemed to dislike the fight.

Masteries
I find the cooking one obnoxious. Sorry but I really disliked it. It feels there are too few easily accessible ones in the starting area. But this might just be with half of the map missing. By the end of the demo I had 3 points left for the canyon jumping but only because I obtained the unobtainable ones (quicksand and the south west one where you need the skimmer) through, ah, creative playing. Glider and log out/in.

Mounts
Absolutely love the raptor. It looks stunning and feels perfectly. Best part of the demo was the raptor race. I do hope every map has a race with its corresponding mount.

Edit: already posted by others +1 for map wide meta events like HoT. Really hope there will be one in every map.

If you actually pay attention to the attributes and pick those that build upon your class strengths, they call it “meta”.

Not limited to your own character. In a group lots of skill provide synergies with/boons to other characters. So it’s not only improving your personal dps, but maybe you can select a trait that improves the whole group’s dps more than another one would improve your personal dps. Hence the name “meta” as in “optimizations one level above your own character”.

Con:

  • Really don’t like the waypoint/teleport unlock on the new map. Yes, it’s totally easy to unlock on the first evening. But why add it in the first place? It will only annoy new players that stumble onto the map and die in the north western area. Everyone else playing already has them so it’s only a burden for new players.
  • I find the updraft area at the Dwayna region (the one south west) irritating. They vanish and reappear, probably after a pattern. While that is ok, I can’t really find out the pattern. If there is one. Main problem is the mastery east of it on top of the waterfalls. You can’t see the updrafts against a white background so it’s random gliding and hoping.
  • As a Charr I don't approve joining the Shining Blades! I wished the game could evolve to allow multiple choices and story line arcs like the personal story did.
  • Map has only 1 level :p
  • I think the fight against Lazarus was way too easy.
  • If you do the story with a friend the Shining Blade initiation instance is kinda boring for your friend as all he can do is sit on the balcony and throw stuff with 10 sec cooldown. I would've much preferred if he could join instead of just watching the whole instance.

Pro:

  • While I don’t really care for an Orr map I find this one “ok” visually. It’s thankfully not as annoying to traverse and the different areas have a distinct feel to them. I love the random teleport area!
  • I also liked the story instances. Skippable (if you must) jumping puzzle, finally a logic puzzle, an old school don't step on the fire puzzle (which I cheated with my mesmer!) and funny named achievements. Art Critic, eh?
  • The Shining Blade initiation and the characters were very well done. I liked the a bit over-the-top assassin style character. Though she came over on drugs most of the time tbh.

TL;DR: even though there are more con than pro bullet points I overall liked it. I won’t comment on the map and events itself yet, because you need to play it a while to get a feel for it.

I don’t see the need to change this when players can either join those squads or create their own and use the LFG. If there’s so many players that do this every cycle, it shouldn’t be a problem to fill your map.

Btw, I didn’t suggest to change the current behaviour. I was merely suggesting that commanders can improve the current situation by taking their squad to another map if half of them can’t join the current one. Which was the original topic of this thread: people being stranded on non-organized maps when there would be plenty to fill another one.

It works well every time for me and leaves less people frustrated. Hopefully.

And then it creates multiple maps instead of a full one. No thanks.

Initially it does. But these fill in no time. There are far more people waiting to play DS than what you can get into 1 or 2 maps. Actively trying to go to a new map instead of leaving half of your squad stranded makes it better for everyone.

So do the commanders’ actions have an impact on the problem or not? I don’t think so, it shouldn’t technically happen that squads are split up at this point.

In a way. Unless I misunderstood what you meant. I thought you meant the map reset. When the new map starts and everyone gathers at the entrance and waits patiently for the end of the world.

What I meant is that the commanders could help to improve the situation. Scenario: 2 full squads, 50 ppl each. Both comms end up on the same map at reset. In both squads ~20 ppl can’t join because the map is full. Now if one commander switches to another map, both can get their complete squad onto theirs instead of leaving many ppl stranded on a few empty maps. No more frustration. Or less at least.

I thought that was what you were referring to. I do it all the time and, apart from a few ppl who rage quit as soon as they see one “map is full”, it always works just fine. Remaining spots on both maps fill fast via lfg.

@Amaimon
I think it’s healthy for a game that not everything is guaranteed to be obtainable. Some parts are locked behind certain game modes which not everyone wants to play, some are put behind RNG madness. But that also means that you cannot and will not have everything. Everyone will focus on something different.

If everything is available by means of “dedicated playing” it would only mean one big grind. Another one. It’s essentially what the list in your original post is: complete this list of things and we will give you the shiny.

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Kiza.5630

Last time the squad got split up over at least three instances, and not everybody made it back to the original instance. This is the problem, and it sucks. Once I was dead in the right instance, ported to the closest waypoint and then ended up in a different instance. Joining a squad does not solve the problem.

It does if the commander pays attention to what is happening on the current map. If I get to a map with my squad that is already full and >10 people cannot join I always switch to one of their emptier maps. (I stay on the map if it’s only a handful, because they usually get in after a few seconds/minutes.)

Sometimes two or three comms with full squads get thrown onto the same map. That spells frustration, because in all of their squads probably half of the people won’t be able to join. So instead of staying and playing it safe with 3 comms it’s better to take your group to a new map. There are always people who are willing to put up a tag. I’ve yet to see one of my maps fail because of this.

Commanders who are willing to organize DS should also be willing to switch to an empty map if many of the people in their squad can’t join. If you have a tag yourself as one of the people in the squad, offering to lead one of the lanes will solve the situation very quickly.

Just don’t flame the commanders, it’s not really their fault the situation after reset is so chaotic.

I play either solo or comm on a HoT map. So build should be at least somewhat sturdy or ppl will have to pick me up from the floor too often.

- all signets remove conditions and activate distortion (also on allies)
- all shatters remove conditions
- all shatters grant boons from bountiful disillusionment and stability
- auto regeneration (+ protection) from chaos and f4 shatter activates regen, too
- armor is all berserker and traveler runes (I hate being slow). But pick any other rune set you like
- pick staff as second for even more survivability. though I recently swapped it for GS because frankly the staff does very low damage with this build/armor stats.

This is what I use. It’s not the highest dps build in the world. But everything dies in a reasonable amount of time and you survive almost any encounter without using defensive gear.

Champs will still one-shot you if you don’t dodge or block unless protection triggers.

Pickup group consisting if Mr I-know-everything who hasn’t found a regular group because of his attitude and a bunch of inexperienced ppl joined from the LFG trying to tackle something difficult. That’s where you find hostility. This scenario is also universal throughout all games.

Does anyone just have fun anymore?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Kiza.5630

No one seems to want to have fun anymore. They are obsessed with numbers, averages, and metrics…it’s like the games have become spreadsheet and parser simulations that have very little to do with going on an adventure with your friends.

That is highly subjective. From what I experienced most of the heavy theorycrafting is “contained” in the raids and higher level fractals.

It’s also about how you interact with the other players and the world. Let’s take Draconis Mons for example. Conversations in the map chat are mostly calling out events and explaining how to get there (sometimes) and explaining why you should not overnuke Ignis (always :p).

But on almost any map I have also met ppl who are new (just bought or playing a few weeks) and are totally confused. I had so many interesting conversations with them I’ve lost count. About story they missed, about how to get to points on the map, about having fun jumping into that bucket, missing, and boiling away in the sea, or about why the jumping puzzle is great fun and trying to portal them through it (and failing) when they don’t have oakheart’s reach or just being lost on the map with them.

But ppl like them are mostly silent. Too kitteno (<- the word was “shy”, but the filter kittenized it :x) post potentially stupid questions in the map chat. The vast majority is not interested in spreadsheet MMOs.

Killing Vinetooth prime

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Kiza.5630

Kiza.5630

Vinetooth can be a bit tricky to kill. From my experience, what you definitely should not do is put an entry into LFG “gogo vinetooth”, get to the map right after reset and start eastwatch. By the time you’ll reach the vinetooth you will have too many ppl for an easy kill via breaking the cc bar and too few to zerg it to death.

The small scale “professional” version: gather 5-10 ppl who can break the cc bar in a coordinated way. Don’t announce anything, just do your thing on an empty map. Maps that are marked for closing are good for this as no new ppl will join. This will take you ~30 mins.

The zerg version: get to an event map that is advertised on LFG after reset. 45 mins before the challenges start, advertise eastwatch events on the map chat and start it. Should take ~20 mins or so with 5+ ppl to reach the 3rd pylon. Once there, the commander most likely will come over with his squad. This will take you ~1h 30 mins.

In the vinetooth den, against the southwestern exit, there is an adrenal mushroom. Tell the map to fight it near there so ppl can refresh their cc skills. Equip as many cc skills as you can, don’t rely on others doing it.

If the bar is not broken a full squad will usually take care of the vinetooth without it. I’ve organized many Auric Basin maps and I have rarely see it fail. The only time it fails fairly often is with an “angry vinetooth kill squad” that goes there as soon as the map resets (see first paragraph).

If you’re on EU servers, ask me ingame if you’re still unlucky.

The map itself is stunning. 3 layers, 3 areas each, with many shortcuts via the lava express and the new mastery. After the last two more “generic” LS maps, I absolutely adore this one. It has a Tangled Mess vibe, in a good way! Easily my favorite of the LS maps now.

I thought the story was solid. I like that even after finishing the instanced story bits and pieces of the area’s background are again told via the collections/achievements.

As for the story instances itself I really liked the ascent into the volcano gameplay wise. Taimi vs Phlunt, I found their conversations the best part of the story.

Keep adding more fun things to do with the environment. Connect fire with cannonballs via patches of oil = explosion! Big one even.

The jumping puzzle.

The refreshing pools are a very nice idea. So much better than to jump into the lava to be teleported back to your checkpoint in Ember Bay. And you actually got some feedback once you reached a checkpoint.

It was not very clear that you’re supposed to grapple to the glowing hot parts of the volcano and actually walk on it at the very beginning. I looked out for regular rock platforms for hours.

The end was a bit abrupt. Suddenly you stand in front of the chest in a little cave. But this is just nitpicking, I do love it!

- Commanders removing their lfg once full. There were 6 full maps just now I saw and everyone is trying to get into those. If players commanding the taxi shut their lfgs down, players would be more inclined to push their own map and not stand idly by and the cause they issue you describe

You can help here. If you join a squad and the map is full, do tell the commander in the squad chat. We normaly immediately remove the lfg entry but if nobody says anything it stays in lfg longer than needed.

The only way you can guess that the map is full if ppl join and leave again without getting to our map. But sometimes I just don’t look for that while organizing the 4 comm teams.

So just put into the squad chat “/d map full”. It’ll help improve the current situation.

Not sure why you think that completing a short questline that takes a couple of hours tops should reward you with an item that costs a couple of hundred gold to obtain otherwise.

But it doesn’t take only a couple of hours. Not for the vast majority of players. Only if you sink huge amounts of gold into it and that’s not what most people have.

It’s a wall for those still busy with crafting ascended equipment.

And most of the precursors cost less on the tp because of precursor journeys.

But not that much. Dawn for example hovered around 700g since HoT launch.

And I think people who complete those collections just for the AP are a very small minority in the player base.

Anyway, it’s just my opinion on the topic. I don’t think the grind is doing much good here. The collections are fun, the insane crafting in between is not IMO. I myself stopped at those steps even though I find the rest of the scavenger hunt enjoyable.

It’s not a scavenger hunt, but pure farming. Either materials or gold.

I like the precursor collections a lot and actually started all of them just for fun. But every single one of them, except for the underwater collections, is more or less stuck on Tier 2 collection or the Tier 1 experiment. The value of materials needed is just insane.

I’d also vote for completely removing this part or reducing the grind to the level of the underwater precursors and making them account bound. It’s not that the legendary that follows is any cheaper.

For the one legendary I have, I just bought the precursor, because the collection stopped being fun.

Or is it just that the supply was reduced greatly? I don’t really remember if there were other ways to get them years ago.

Computer crashes from GW2?

HWmonitor: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.30.zip
Just open the ZIP and run the executable from there. No installation required.

Probably a bit futile as the system crashes, so no way to check the temperatures. Maybe check while running another game. If CPU and graphics card are already cooking there, GW2 might be too much. What CPU?

It may be overheating, but this does also sound like the ancient sound bug from the beginning of the game. Game settings → Sound options → Sound quality slider to Fastest. Maybe it’ll help.

Graphics options are most likely lowest already on a GT220.

If you’re not sure about updating drivers (not sure how much you know about that stuff), ask a friend who does or be careful with what you download. Searching for “update drivers blah” leads to shady websites more often than not that want you to install their driver updater super pro™.

If you select your sound device in the Windows device manager, I think there is an “update driver” button. It will download from Microsoft servers. Try to find that one first before you download stuff manually.

If nothing helps you can also contact anet support http://en.support.guildwars2.com/

We need new Endgame content.

Post has been clarified. Hard because it takes time. Lots of it.

Though I’d rather not see more skins and stuff tied to one specific part of the game. People enjoy different parts, some even hate specific aspects of the game. Putting more “awesome stuff” there exclusively won’t do any good in the long run. Seen it often enough, not only in this game. They do what the dislike just because they want to get something and when they’re done with it they take a break and sometimes never come back.

[ToDo] Mesmer portal range?

Simple solution: personal map marker on the map could have a range indicator like almost all other objects do. So you can put the marker on your position and can see the range to your exit portal. Also has the advantage that it tells you how far you can still go which the out-of-range indicator doesn’t.

Maybe the fix that requires least effort (=famous last words) and could be useful for other things as it let’s you measure distances on the map more precisely.

Dierdre’s Step in Mount Maelstrom, many places there to just sit and admire the view. Halfway through the Terra Carorunda JP in Blazeridge steps. Nobody is ever there. And of course Coddler’s Cove in Timberline Falls.

The maps I organize are full long before the gerent event draws near. We usually are full ~1h before the event with only a few spots left. So those fill in an instant when I put it into LFG right before the meta.

There are always a few entries in the LFG for TD in the evenings. Join one of them and help with events, HP and anything players there do. It’ll be a fun 2 hours and by the time the gerent event starts you’re on a full map with ppl organizing it.

If you only show up 15mins before and only want to do the gerent it’ll always be a gamble. I’ve never had a map fail because of too few players.

The cipher suites should be updated to a more modern configuration though. That’s why it only scores A-. All ECDHE and DHE ciphers should be on top of the list, all the TLS_RSA_* to the bottom.

Not all browsers connect with a cipher that supports forward secrecy. Problem here is: if someone collects all the network traffic, even encrypted, he can decrypt it if the private key is somehow stolen. It has happened due to bugs in the past.

I guess that’s due to an older operating system and older OpenSSL which does not support that. We have that problem, too.

I’m more concerned that the server is operated by Quaggans. :p

It’s funny though. Game companies take security seriously while my bank didn’t even change their certificate after heartbleed. Game account is more secure than my bank account.

Oh I forgot they introduced collections, those sound like a ton of fun!

I don’t want to dampen your spirits as far as the legendary collections go. You will hit a wall with the legendary collections after you complete the first collection:

Example:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experimental_Axe_Blade
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experimental_Axe_Haft
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary_Inscription

So if you unlock all of them like me a significant amount of ascended crafting materials are waiting. :o The underwater precursor require almost nothing in comparison, so I only finished them for now.

If you just came back I’d probably just dive into HoT story content. I enjoyed that one a lot.

I wonder if they provide interesting bonuses or reasons to collect them.

Some give ascended items, some give stuff which unlocks more collections. If you finish a legendary one you can start mass production of precursors.*

I organize HoT maps, Silverwastes, hunt bandits with other players or do what others probably call “world boss trains”. If there are current events or new living story episodes I’ll do these with friends. I also unlocked all legendary collections and hunt down that stuff if not doing group content. This is my personal endgame. I’m not into dungeons, raids or pvp so I won’t comment on them.

HoT maps take 2h to complete for a whole cycle. The rest can be done anywhere between 30 minutes to many hours, so there is something for anyone.

For HoT maps, take a look at https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Event_timers. There are usually entries in the LFG at reset times of these maps if you want non-stop action for 2 hours.

As for loot, you’ll mostly get stuff to salvage everywhere. In HoT maps you’ll get map currency with which you can buy stuff needed for collections if you like that kind of thing. Some of them require quite a lot (I’m looking at you Auric weapon collection!).

You can port from the diving location to the top of the ship which is just next to the WP so it will work. I love the puzzle, contact me ingame if you want a portal. EU Servers, online in the evenings.

Frostfang 1 bugs if you destroy essences

I’m doing this one: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Frostfang_I:_The_Experimental_Axe

Created https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Evergreen_Jar and successfully used it to create https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Essence_of_Mordremoth

However I threw away the Essence of Mordremoth.

I created another Evergreen Jar but now I cannot use it again in Silverwastes. No matter when I try to use it I always get: “You must help slay the Vinewrath to use this”

Same problem with the Shatterer Jar.

I checked with Hobbs and I see no way to buy more of the “intermediate” jars. So the collection is now stuck.

Streaming to TV

What can I use to stream gw2 to the tv. I’ve looked at steamlink but i can find if steamlink supports games outside their library.

You can add any external game to your steam library and stream that one to the steam link. Works with GW2. But I gave up on the controller. Really only plays well with keyboard and mouse.
