Only problem I could forsee would be the size of Griffons, but then, Drakes are large than them, if I recall right.
Well, human rangers get to have those from a skill, at the very least! A nice way to do larger, cooler pets, I think, would to make ‘em part of a ranger characters personal story, that way, if you want all of them, you’d have to help out other rangers to get the story branch!
I recently started playing a ranger, and to my profound disappointment, found that eagle griffons, Owl Griffons and Rock dogs weren’t tamable.. Considering (in my opinion) that these three animals make up a large chunk of the best looking beasts in the game..This struck me as odd. So I decided to suggest making these avialable, the specifics (such as pet class and unique ability) I leave to those more capable than I. (The devs)
What it says on the tin, got through most of the patch, had it fail, restarted and it gets to the 33.69MB of data in file one of two, and fails again, every time.

A winsock reset has fixed errors like this in the past, you can do it by opening the cmd.exe and typing ‘netsh winsock reset catalog’ without quotes, then restart your PC.
I’d say one gift would be reasonable..All three would be near impossible with the time frame.
Well..
Halloween is turning into quite the disappointment, for the crafter and weaponhoader population, it seems.
I suspect once the people having fun start in search of a permanent reminder of that fun, they’ll be much less pleased, considering it looks as though the -crafted- items are mini legendaries, themselves.
If those are the recipes..Nobody will have -time- to make them, unless they’ve an obscene amount of gold/ tokens sitting around.
Probably the shoulders, Magi..Anyone tried using weapon items of 75 level in crafting weapons?
The launcher does the percentage by file number, not data size.
I’m at 100% and 692MB.

Your own argument can be used against you, Jenks..What’s the point of Holiday events if they end the day before the Holiday in the place the game is actually made? Personally, I’d suggest they start the last phase on the 30th, and end it on the first, that way the events are ‘timed’ for every time zone..But also gives twice as long for people to get things.
Unfortunately Arenanet is an American Company, and thus they’ll set their dates by their own calendar. This has always been the way of game companies, so it shouldn’t come as a great surprise. Disappointing, perhaps, but since the calendar ticks over before 12am on the first, you can still do the event during Halloween itself, since the stage changes will likely be automated.
At the earliest?
I’d say when Arenanet actually opens, in the morning.
Your not wrong, but it would be nice to have an estimated time-space in which the update should be released.
I agree, but as anyone who has worked in this sort of industry knows, things go wrong, often, and giving yourself an undisclosed amount of time to fix them usually saves your sanity and job.
A release time would be rather nice, but I don’t generally expect them..As an Australian, I generally assume non-released patch times are in the mid to late afternoon, American time, thus early morning the next day, here.
Simply assume a later time, and you’ll never be let down.
What it says on the Tin, also, the Sylvari heart vendors are doing the same thing.
However, this doesnt’ work with GW2 model because as it stands, players aren’t intended to have loads of extra gold.
How did you arrive at this conclusion, Gopher?
The pricing and relatively low monetary rewards are a decent hint, vast amounts of profits from the Trading Post aren’t likely, mostly because, as I see it, Crafting isn’t a primarily money making scheme, it’s mostly another way to play, rather than killing monsters and such, you get experienced by creating things. At best, you’ll break about even, I’ve found, at least on higher level craftables, though max level bags make a small profit.
More than likely, it was a glitch in the gem store/mail system, and seeing as it’s currently down for maintenance, you’ll likely either get a gem refund or your Transmute stones once it’s back up again. As to the support tickets, they’re currently prioritising people who can’t play at -all- over bug and glitch issues relatively minor to gameplay issues.
It’s frustrating, but likely not nearly as much as it is for those poor saps who can’t log in.
For the love of all that is good in the land, plz shut up vendors!

You can actually disable voices specificly in the sound options, if it bothers you that much..
Might want to remember to up the slider back up before you do story quests, though.
..You are aware the game has been out less than a month, yeah? The amount of centent is about comparable to most games within their first month of opening, new content takes time to make.
As to the gem conversion, it’s supposed to be that way, I imagine, the buyable gold/gems is for convenience, rather than being more efficient, if it -were- more efficient, what would be the point of farming in the first place?
I had this problem, after trolling through the internet for about six hours, I found a solution.
Open your cmd.exe (by typing cmd into the run box) then type ‘netsh winsock reset catalog’ without the quotes, fixed the issue straight away.
You will likely need to reauthenticate your login, though.
As far as I understand it, Conditon Damage, But I could be wrong.
As Fenrial said, the emblem is it’s own armor skin, rather than just applying the emblem to the existing one, it replaces it entirely, The cloth version of which is frankly rather horrid looking, Though medium looks rather nice.
