I’ve got another thread asking for exactly the same thing, with a few potential solutions as well. I don’t have a link, but it’s named “Colorblind Friendly Options? Please?” be sure to take a look at it and throw your support in with everyone else that already has.
Well, if I can find it you have my support.
Search seems to be broken for me, and didn’t see it on the first few pages.
Please put a bit more thought towards accommodating those with colorblindness. I realize that you can’t cater to every whim, but I’ve run into problems during more than one event. This event, Liadri’s circles are extremely hard to see in the arena, they blend in almost perfectly with the floor. During other events I’ve had trouble seeing map markers for special content on the map.
Just asking to put some thought to using more contrasting colors when you can, and white/black borders on icons when appropriate.
Whoah-whoah-whoah! Stop the presses!
They gave necros an ability that is situationally powerful? Alert the gendarmes!
Only 2H I can really see for them is scythe if they’re ever implemented, but I doubt they will be (plus we already have the scythe animation when staff is used). I’m not feeling greatsword, however I wouldn’t complain if they got greataxe should that ever go in…
Nothing has changed, MONTHS after being reported. This waypoint is perpetually contested.
I have a related question; when does the monthly normally end? I had assumed it would be midnight, or sometime in the morning. But here I am no monthly at 8:00, when I was maybe 30 minutes of playing away from getting it.
In the future, please make an effort to make the icons for things such as the hologram projectors more visible on the map. I am R/G colorblind, and they are extremely hard to see on the Caledon map, and somewhat so on the Queensdale map. Either a circle around them, or a thicker black/white border would help a lot.
The sad thing is I’ve resorted to “cooperating” with groups at the last minute now that it is working, which really bugs me. But if I don’t, I’m the bad guy.
The lack of dev response on this issue is disheartening. I really hope they end up extending crab toss for at least a week. I’ve played off and on for the last two weeks without any achievement credit. I’d like to at least get the participation and victor ones, since I’ve qualified several times.
Same, has been this way for over a week and the event is over soon.
Started playing the game last weekend. Have not earned a single achievement, including the gimme for participating.
I didn’t even get the participation one, first time playing today.
First started playing crab toss today, haven’t gotten a single achievement. Others in my groups have said the same thing.
I’m not getting ANY of the achievements period, including the one you get just for participating. First started playing it today. Nobody in the group I was just in was getting them either.
My problem is that I simply am not getting acheivments period. Not getting the participation acheivment, not getting credit towards any of the others. Asked in the group I was just in and nobody else was either.
Still a problem, 5 months later.
After taking a 1 month+ break (nothing against the game, still love it, just too many other games to play as well), I come back to see that teleport hacking is alive and well.
Haven’t seen a dev update on this in some time (unless I missed one while I was gone). I’d love to be reassured that this was something you’re actively working on.
Here’s my poor layman’s attempt at a possible logic flow:
Check player coordinates
10 seconds later check again.
If distance > than can be reasonably traveled in that time then
Has player used waypoint in previous 10 seconds?
If yes, go to beginning, else flag for investigation.

Seems to me they should go the route Blizzard did in Diablo 3. Every group member’s MF is summed then split evenly among the group. Perhaps not the perfect solution (really is no such thing since you’ll never satisfy everyone), but probably the most fair.
Yes, they did make it shared, then switched it back as a different outcry ensued. Their ultimate solution was to remove it from gear over time through paragon levels which lead you to an MF cap.
Ah, heh. Haven’t played in months (as you can probably tell). From recent patch notes and discussions I’ve seen though, it’s just about the game it ought to have been at release now.

Anet – I’ll buy and spend gems for you to NOT do this.
Any JP achievement would have to leave room for a new higher achievement as new puzzles are added.
Jump Far
Jump Far 2 – Jump Farther
Jump with a Vengeance
Jump Far or Fall Hard
A Good Day to Jump Far
Ok, that was bad. I’ll go to the corner now.
It’s been like this since release, and it frustrates me to no end. Usually happens after following a link within a thread, or replying to a thread, but can happen any time really. Should have been fixed ages ago.

The problem is, wells and minions compete for skill slots. Enough well abilities to boost utility and survivability of minions, and you’re no longer a minionmancer. Kind of a catch-22.
My mid level necro uses all minions in utility slots and well of blood for the heal, and that does help quite a bit. I hate blood-fiend, have him up ahead of time and he gets himself killed all the time; only summon him when needed and he’s not really adding to your army. Never taken her into a dungeon, I imagine (and hear) there’d be a lot of resummoning involved.
Warden in a chaos storm is a thing of beauty (when it doesn’t die right away).
Seems to be a bit too niche to make an appearance as an actual weapon. Perhaps as a skin for focus.
Good god, when did I wander into the WoW forums?
They’d be so much better if they’d just remove the rooting from most of the skills.
I endorse this product and/or service.
I agree that the reporting system needs to be more robust. Needs a hacking category at least, and a text field for specific explanations preferably.
The most common behavior i have seen is that holding down left mouse button move the camera only, right moves both camera and character.
This. Anet just decided to do it a bit differently, for better or worse. Took a little getting used to at first, but now it feels relatively normal (though I do go back and forth between GW2 and WoW, so still feels a little odd at times). Personally I would have preferred left mouse camera, right mouse turn regardless of motion, but it is what it is.
Yeah, it sucks. I’ve started adding teleport farmers as friend to aid in reporting, and I see them continue to log on.
In before lock and “Please see <link to locked thread> thread for our thoughts on this issue”.
Stomping thru the snow in what appears to be a minimal swimsuit, color me intrigued.
While the outfit is a bit skimpy, I’d say it isn’t really by genre standards. What I like most about that particular piece is the strong, noble look of her stance and face, and a bit of danger. It conveys “What are you doing on my mountain? I don’t recall inviting you here. You might wish to leave before I let my companion here eat your face.”
It has become one of my favorite fantasy pieces right up there with some of the best work of Frazetta and Vallejo. I’d kill to own the original.
I don’t know why some people are convinced scythes and/or dervish will make a return in an xpack. Scythe, perhaps. Dervish, almost certainly not. Too human-centric, being based upon worship of the human gods. If it did make a return, it would almost certainly not resemble what people fondly remember.
I agree completely. If it was multi-target then maybe it would deserve to be the longest cast time of them all, but as is it just isn’t warranted.
Going to have to go with Logan Thackerayy here.
Logan Ranaway? Disloyalty is soooo unattractive.
Casting my vote with Eir. Fell in love when I first saw

If they did stack, either additively or multiplicatively, it’d just be ridiculously OP against those who couldn’t in PvP. As is I was surprised by the boost to 25% for signets.
My main is a guardian using hammer + mace/shield, and all utilities are shouts. Throw in liberal use of virtues and you’re constantly buffing yourself and the group. There are other professions with the potential to be strong support, but not many if any that can top guardian if you go all out.
But is it really my fault?
Yes. It was your decision to make, and you made it. Learn to live with the consequences to your conscience or change your behavior. Don’t expect us to pat you on the back and say, “It’s ok, anybody would have done the same”.
I looked at the monthly achievements, saw they included Fractals which I didn’t feel ready for or motivated to do yet, and decided not to do it.
Primary reason: To be annoying.
There’s a reason I tab out between songs.
You can also add as friend and report from there. I’ve started doing this. Sadly, I continue to see them log in, so either Anet isn’t trying very hard, or their monitoring tools are not up to the challenge.
As far as PvE strategy goes, can you actually escape using a short burst of stealth, or do monsters quickly re-agro on you, making it less useful? Can you effectively sneak past monsters with it as well, or is it mainly used to set up combat moves or redirect monsters in a group setting?
Yes, as soon as you apply stealth, the enemy forgets about you and starts walking back to it’s spawn point. As long as you put enough distance between you, you shouldn’t get aggro again (though I believe if you have dots on this changes).
While you can sneak past monsters, it isn’t really the point of stealth in this game. As you alluded to, it is meant mainly to set up combat moves and control the battlefield. The builds that have a high uptime of stealth have it because you’re using combat abilities that grant it for a short time in rapid succession. Stealth is not designed to be a long term buff that lets you go wherever you want.
Splendid tale old chap!
Hjördís Svanhildr – Norn ranger
Very nice. Not your fault, but now any time I read a name with a “j” in it I cringingly think of it pronounced with a hard j, thanks to the way they do it during voiceovers. I hope you use a greatsword and/or sword in your weapon choice.
I have two norn so far:
Sigrid Nottsdottir – My necromancer. Literal translation “Night’s daughter”. Yeah, I know, cliche.
Byrna Thunderstride – Warrior with max height and large body. The last person to call her Byrna Thunderthighs is now known as Gunnar Cracked-skull.
think too good of themselves

Before WoW, it was pretty normal for an mmo to have things that weren’t likely to be had by every Tom, Dick, and Harry. I blame WoW’s success, which came because it was overly friendly to the casual player. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with casual play (I am very casual here, and fairly casual in WoW), but the way that today’s gamers expect everything handed to them on a silver platter nauseates me.
You can’t be serious. Did you even play WoW? There are mounts, armor, weapons, and pets whose drop-rates fall well under 1/100,000th of a percent.
I did, and still do. Those items are the exception, and most certainly not the rule. 99.9% of items in that game are achievable with a modicum of time invested.
In case it hasn’t been mentioned yet, the bandits that take over Seraph Observers Waypoint in Brisban Wildlands are nigh-impossible for a single or double-team of the appropriate level to take back. Densely populated and they seem to come back much faster than what is stated here. I could probably take it with my downleveled guardian, but that says more about the downleveling system than this particular spot.
Edit: lol and now that I look just a few posts up I’m obviously not the only one to run into this problem.

I have everything for my legendary but precursor. How can i improve my gameplay? I don’t want to be casual any more. Teach me master!
You’re asking the wrong person, just crafted my first rare set a couple of weeks ago.

I suspect this is tied to the change allowing sigils to affect bundle skills.
