Invisible Victory [InV] is an international PvX guild; that aims to provide an active and mature environment to both casual and hardcore players.
Most of us have been playing since release, while others joined the game throughout the years. While [InV] has been formed very recently, it’s core was part of the same community; to which we decided to part our ways with.

We are a forum based guild; most if not all important matters are handled through the forum.
This requires a very basic level of activity (reading) and won’t impact your ability to enjoy the game. Rather than see it as an obligation; consider it a way to interact with our guildies, even when away from home!

What do we offer?

-Experience in all GW2 game modes, profession theorycrafting, professional guild management, a place to enjoy both the game and the social interactions that come with it.

-A drama-free guild, that is able to discuss things in a mature manner.

-While we aim to become a big guild, we will not lose our focus in pursuing a family-like environment and a place to enjoy the game in good company.

-We use TS3 as our voicecom, and while it’s use is recommended, for high level gameplay (raids/spvp/roaming), it’s not enforced for general play. Also keep in mind that our main communications tools, are the forum and guild chat; with the forum being the primary tool to inform our guildies.

-A Guild Hall, and the shinies that come with it (Guild lvl 20+).

What do we expect?

-Mature, in attitude, players; that are able to respect our above mentioned ideals.

-A basic level of activity, both in the game and in the forum.

-A good level of english.

-For you to have fun!

About multiguilding: it is allowed if in a guild of friends, however a community is based on people that identify themselves under a common flag, and you should consider whether that might be affected by your multiguilding. Our policy can of course change in the future; but it won’t reach the 100% rep rule.
However [u]we expect you to have us as your primary guild to represent[u].

I’ve played guardian only for 3 years as War just bores me out, now new fun heavy profession arrived and i’m enjoying them both. I’d still suggest to go with guardian, just for DH that you’ll get at lvl 80.

Hello, i just went to check on our mine and the entrance is blocked by rocks. We certainly unlocked it, since we have all structures but the Arena unlocked. Also you can see the Mine proprietor icon inside it. Did you disable the mine, or it somehow got reset?

The guild is Midnight Mayhem and the hall is Gilded Hollow.

It really depends if you are willing to switch toons during the raid and what lvl of min/maxing you are trying to achieve. I did try the raid for about 6h, it’s not much but it gave me enough time to experiment with the guardian (not the rofl dh).
For the first boss i think we are going to be switched out with other professions, in high end groups. Herald will take care of the perma 25 might/fury, druid will take care of the healing (druid heals while dealing damage!!), chronomancer will take care of the quickness and alacrity.
Reflects are a non issue for that boss, same for aegis. CCs are important for the seekers; but you can apparently ignore them, thanks to the druid heals (haven’t tested this).
So yeah..i’d say switch to another profession for that boss. For the rest of the raid it’s too soon to say.

I like the guardian and have been playing it since the first year exclusively; but i don’t feel like being an hindrance to the raid, so i will switch it out when not needed (vale guardian).

Game is currently unplayable for me too..Huge lag spikes, unable to use skills most of the time. The problem appears only with GW2.

I remember paying ~60€ for gw2 pre-order, so ~50€ would be the price. I think it would be a normal price for a b2p game. WoW Wotlk (last xpac i ever bought) was like 40€ but that’s a p2p game.

First OBT here, really loving this game mode so far. It’s a nice change from conquest which was tiring me out to no end. So far haven’t really experienced glaring bugs either. Still half a day to test.

Bug Report:

In the Revenant Gameplay video:
-at 08:06 my character spoke out of the blue about helping someone
-at 10:33 mobs were standing there doing nothing
-at 12:37 mobs were teleporting around
-at 13:08 the mushroom sent the red message without me pressing F on it. This happened everytime I went close to a mushroom after pressing F on the first one.
-at 21:50 the glider just opened for a very small jump and while moving uphill. I tested this a few times during the beta, and the glider appears to just open at random when I jump (small or big jumps). When jumping off cliffs (tested this quite throughly!) it works perfectly fine.

Don’t forget that they are using PDT not PST, best to avoid websites that automatically covert times as some seems to still use PST.
I suggest using this http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/pacific-time/convert/ and do a little bit of math to calculate your time zone.

Hello fellow players, i’d like to talk about the role of guilds within the game structure.

At launch and even during betas we asked for basic features such as: last log in, better permissions management, more content for guilds etc..

The game was launched in 2012 with nothing of this, and we carried on with our lives.

During spring 2013 (6+ months after release) we received guild missions.

…Nothingess….

During spring 2014 we received the last log in, after a year and half and the megaserver.

Now let me ask, what are your (Arenanet) plans in the immediate future? Because this game needs a major overhaul as far as guilds go, and it needs it fast.
You obviously focused on the server idendity from the start. Both with WvW and PvE. Guilds had little to no role in all this.
Then the megaserver arrived, and that server identity that grew during this year and half got destroyed (apart from WvW).

The server identity wasn’t the only thing that got destroyed, the guilds that already had little to no involvement in how the game has been shaping in your offices, got damaged even more.
I’m sure that the megaserver code will improve and will let guildies automatically be able to find themselves ALL on the same shard.

Guilds are in a sorry state at the moment.
Not only we have to deal with: the same missions that got released A YEAR AGO, no GvG, no other guild content, very bad guild management tools etc.. But now we also have to deal with the megaserver.
This is not a megaserver rant, this is how guilds currently have to deal with this game.

To be able to do the same mission that got released a year ago, we have to lose 30 good minutes to get all guildies on the same shard. Don’t even mention getting even 10 of them all on the same shard for doing bounties.

Guildies righfully complain about having to cope up with yet another “feature” that undermines guilds.

Guilds had little to no place at the start, because the server was what got promoted. That very same server now has no place and has become megamess where guilds have EVEN LESS space then before; but we got the last log in!

So; what are your plans for guilds in this game? What would other players like to see be done Now, not in another year?

Guardian Gear Suggestion after patch??

I’ve played a zerk mesmer for well over a year while i’m still newb to the guardian. As a mesmer surviving with full zerk, even with pugs, is not a problem; but as a guardian i’m not sure where to start from or if it’s even viable to run full zerk with pugs (and avoid dying at every pull). Is there a middle ground build/gear? Or just go with zerk and learn from mistakes?

In a non optimal group (pugs) with non optimal builds, would you still suggest full berserker (armor/trinkets)?
I’ve been looking for a middle ground build that is not full zerker or full ptv.
Normally this middle ground is covered by knight gear; but as a guardian i do miss sometimes the heals that come from healing power stats. This made me look into celestial gear; but i’m not very convinced about it.
Would knight gear and cleric or celestial trinkets work in a non optimal group with not optimal builds?

Hello everyone, Midnight Mayhem is still recruiting!
First of all, let me say that MM is aware that a number of new MMOs is coming out/has been launched; but we have no interest whatsoever to move from GW2.
Our guildies, however, are incentivized to make unofficials “Midnight Mayhem” groups/guilds in these games to keep in touch with their friends in the guild. We have an unofficial MM group in pretty much all the major games that offer such feature, and also a steam group.

Today we want to show you a couple of new shinies that the guild started using.
1)The first shiny is our new tumblr page, that is already getting filled with news and info about our adventures.
With tumblr, Midnight Mayhem is now active in 3 major social networks. Our oldest, and most succesful, social network page is without a doubt Facebook; that it has reached 100+ likes! This page has been recently revamped and it’s now 1 year old.

While we use the social networks to deepen our guild bonds, our main method of communication and interaction is our forum.
Every guildie has to pass through our forum in order to join, and that’s one of MM peculiarities. While other guilds rarely use the forum or prefer not to use it at all; Midnight Mayhem’s uses it’s functionalities to the fullest to bring our guildies together and at the same time keep a “family” atmosphere, even though our roster is composed by ~400 active guildies.
Our new forum has been launched in November 2013 but has already reached almost 14k posts in such a short time.
Of course all our guildies have an account; but they have no obligation to make new posts, apart from the application.

2)The second shiny MM wants to show you today is the Guesting System. You might be familiar with GW2 guesting; but this has nothing to do with it :p.
Why did we make this system?
The guesting system is meant to be a bridge connecting everyone outside of MM to our guildies. Not only to show how our guild works; but also to expand our community with new people and their experiences, without having the obligation to join our guild. After receiving the “Guest” rank you’ll be able to access a variety of forums and join discussions or start new ones.
Everyone can request the guest rank, and it’s not binding in any way. Should you decide to join, you can always apply for guild membership later.

A new city?

During one of the cutscenes at The Dead End… Marjory's sister speaks about a bandit base in Brisban Wildlands; which is about to be stormed by Seraphs.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that base turns out to be the one with lvl 80 mobs, in the next living story. That base appear to be right north east of Dry Top; so who knows, it might lead to another map.

A new city?

There is currently a parallel conversation going on @Reddit.
I think it’s safe to assume that the ring-shaped “Zone” is Dry Top; however we don’t know what happened there in 251 years.

From the gw1 wiki:
“Dry Top is a rather small circular map area, which connects the rest of the Maguuma Jungle to Tangle Root. There are no allies, no bosses, nor much of interest in Dry Top; with the exception of what appears to be hillside settlements, as well as a large tree stump in the central clearing. Though most of the land is dry and barren, the sides and bottom of the ravine just west of the center of the map is covered in vegetation as seen in most of the Maguuma Jungle.”

I suppose that tree has grown a bit after almost 300 years; also those hillside settlements could have grown in size too.

There are also other theories that a few redditors posted:
-It’s malyck’s pale tree (a neutral city?)
-A bigger section of the ruins of Thaumanova reactor (Thaumanova city?)
-A military base (like fort trinity)
-Just a crater

A couple of months after release i completed the world exploration.
I looked at the map and started wondering what could be under the convenient painting that covered the unexplored territories.
A few elements cought my attention; but one in particular made me zoom all the way in, and watch it more carefully.
This ring-shaped “zone”.

The first thing that came to mind was that it was a city.
Looking at Divininty’s Reach unexplored map" it’s not such a wild guess. Looking at first glance it could be a very big mountain too; but the circle is far too perfect to not be artificial. If you zoom all the way in, you can also see several inner “circles” and with a bit of immagination you can see them going higher as your eyes move closer to the smallest one.

As a GW lore noob i thought that it could be a city for a possible new race; but i soon realized that we don’t know of any other race that could live so close to the asuras apart from the sylvari and tengus.

One more proof, that made me drop the theory of a main city for a possible new race, was the ending of the first Living Story season.
During the final cutscene we clearly saw that Mordremoth awakened, and reading the updated page of the Wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Jungle_dragon) it says that it's current location is in Magus Falls (right where that ring-shaped "zone" is).

Going a bit back in the living story, we witnessed Lion’s Arch destruction. This time it wasn’t so light as it was with the Ancient Karka (RIP lighthouse); this time it was pretty much obliterated.
The devs made it very clear that LA is not going to magically go back to how it was, and it’s not unthinkable that the city is gone for good.

Before LA’s destruction we had no reason to get a new city out of nowhere, even if a new dragon awakened.
With LA gone (for now/forever) there isn’t a clear hub where the 5 races can gather and “do their things”. Vigil keep is just a temporary replacement.
Now there is a real need for a new city, a new zone is possibly going to get open and in this new area of the map there is a weird ring-shaped “zone” that is 2/3 of DR’s size (more or less).

If you are wondering about the location being too much on the west, compared to LA being at the center of the world, it could symbolise the shift of the world’s attention toward the location of the new dragon.
If the dragon is raising in the west, why build a new city/base were LA currenty is?

What do you guys think about it? Is it possible that a whole new city gets open/built in the next LS season?

Another theory could be that it’s the dragon’s version of the Pale Tree; but that seems to be even more forced.

It might seem strange, but i’m having a blast in this matchup.

First the golem rush this morning, and then taking down the inner gate of sm while being outmanned (Piken helped us a bit here, distracting Riverside :p). Being outnumbered is not the end of the world, if we can defend our towers with sieges.
GG Gunnar’s for not giving up despite the odds.
We might not win the matchup; but we surely won’t give you any free points.

This sounds like MM shouldn’t have painted half of your borderland in red during reset.
The whole blob thing is just silly; we’ll field any numbers necessary to downgrade all your towers/keeps and no i won’t feel sorry for it. Us not running alone is completely false as we often run tag-less and with mumble alone.

Just a little update about our last achievements and future plans:

As for WvW, we built up a strong and competent group; mainly thanks to our devoted commanders and our scheduled WvW events (usually 3-4 every week).

-We are currently planning to create a core group that operates around 1-2 commanders, switching those commanders between different days.

-In the coming months, our aim is to reach the level of other hardcore WvW guilds and start doing GvG actively. For now we are intensifying our training events and we’d like to recruit more players interested in our project.
Of course casual WvWers are always more than welcome.

As for PvE thanks to the little boost from Anet we are getting more and more known with the Costume Brawl event and we’ll be organising more community events in the coming months.

-We have unlocked all the guild missions and we do all of them at least twice a week.

-We also run Dungeon night events and split Dungeon/WvW night events every week; as well as doing daily dungeon runs and daily WvW raids without schedule.

-We feel like both hardcore and casual players would feel at home within our guild; so do not hesitate and visit our forum http://midnight-mayhem.guildlaunch.com!

I never understood " server pride". U do realise its only a name for a piece of hardware right?
i play www cos i love it for the competition it gives and great people u meet. Being on a low sever doesn’t provide either. Instead of staying there and eventually get bored and leave, isint it better to join higher tiers and enjoy www the way its meant to be played.

Gunnar’s Hold-EU has been in t8 for the past 3-4 weeks, and in those past weeks i had a lot of fun in WvW due to our server giving its all to achieve victory.
I doubt Desolation has ever reached t7 or t8 so i would refrain jumping to conclusions and say that it’s boring or that we aren’t playing WvW “the way it’s meant to be played”.
Our server went from t3 to t8 in a couple of months, being stomped week after week due to bandwagoners wasn’t fun.
In t8 we found balance, and from there we started to organize again.
Now we got a huge influx of players transfering on GH that will probably lead us in t5-t4.

Morale is; it doesn’t matter if you are in t1 or in t8, if the matches are balanced you’ll have fun for sure.
No one has fun being stomped every week, but thats due to a flawed system that i hope will be fixed with paid transfers and future patches revolving around WvW.
