300k glory + 40g to obtain all the new heals. And you understand alot of us remake chars because we want to play another class because not everyone has 8 char slots.
Read before you pst. No1 wants to spend all their glory when they can turn it into gold and how long does it take to get 300k glory?
Ya remove it for now atleast. Us pvpers dont have any money to spend on the game anyways your just stopping us from switching classes.

I just wanted to stop by and let you guys know that we are listening. We’re looking at a few different ways to address the time investment it currently takes to get new skills in PvP, but it’s not something we’re able to talk about quite yet.

I have 4 chars already and if I want to play another class I have to keep deleting my 5th and replay the 1st quest and now I need to get 25 skill points on top of it.
Alot of us dont have 8 char slots so we delete a char when we want to play another class. DO NOT FORCE US INTO PAYING MONEY FOR EXTRA CHARS SLOTS ITS SO LAME.

Your right it could be much worse. It goes along with what the devs have been doing. Leaving war heal OP for so long and trying to balance by giving passives to the other 6 classes. This can’t make the game better in the state its already in…

So they added 6 more classes (now all 8 with the warrior & ele) getting another passive skill.
So far the community I feel has been lets say ‘not liking’ the warriors healing signet.
Now to balance this GW2 has decided to add 6 more classes with similar type skills.
I believe this is hurting the game, when we’ve already been asking for less passive.
Devs can make jokes about “here comes the petting zoo” which Isn’t fun watching the mist league live stream tournament of them bashing their own game. Then add more pets+passive?
What can we do to show them this is not the right course? GW2 is making the game more passive (granted its their game) But they want to make a game enjoyable and not mindless passive+spam, no?
Discuss ideas on how to fix this since my last most recent post was deleted for not being contributive.
Ghostcrawler is available for hire I believe. He would be a great asset for this game…

lol Im theory craft speaking here. Im referring to the supposed highest skill cap for thief and ele. The potential is there and they generally have the best chance. :p but lol a way your playing mesmer
I do play ele and necro.
I ran the build about 10 games in the top 100 Team Q as well, lets say thief was a problem. With the dmg boost from going for Tempest defense everyone will be running 30 air and 10 in arcana
It doesn’t need 30 in fire, its only 300 power. You can run forge runes mist/armor of earth w/e you want for defense but tempest defense is gonna go along way.
And the main point is blasting staff is OP along with static aura.
Ill say staff ele will be the 2nd best viable class for berserker amulet behind staying in stealth as a thief, since ele has so many skills + tempest defense 25s!

Guardian stability is short. So your saying as a thief you always wait for the guard to throw stability on you then go 1200r away to kill the ele? Lyssa is the only way to get around the static aura for the theif but its twice as long. + not its not always the basilisk opener. Static aura comes out on s/d daze.
Thief is the only class that causes trouble for this spec.
The only way to catch up to ele is with another blink. As thief always uses bow, makes it the only problem.
Once you know the blink locations, Warrior, engi and necro aren’t really a threat.
Thief is the main problem for this spec. With a 25 static aura is far superior to frozen aura……, 10% dmg reduction or the chill is why you think its good? +its a simple blast off frozen ground.
I did mention the specific spec here and thanks for your interest with the ideas/counters. But the main point is the huge buff to blasting staff which opens tempest defense along with a grandmaster trait getting its CD cut more than in half is HUGE.
Its starting to feel like dhuumfire, Devs not knowing what they are doing. Missing specs like longbow warrior and throwing to many buffs not having enough testing/testers. They need to be quicker and smaller balances.

I find marks much weaker, dodging into them and such. So Id say marks miss much more than eles aoe.
Again I hate comparing them but its the only thing similar.
Chilblains 180r 20cd vs frozen ground 300r 40cd. 2x the CD but it covers the point and cant be dodged+being instant.
The games conquest and when something covers a capture point and only requires you to invest 10 effecting 13 skills is huge change right there.
Again they nerfed necros greater marks from a 10 cost to 20. We are seeing the opposite with something obviously more powerful. For build diversity lol?
@zenith Ele fights 1200r away so interesting youd say that. Lyssa is every 50s with basilisk, static is every 25s on daze or stun. So I wouldn’t quite say its null.
Im just not sure how Lily thought ele became more squish with the next patch, fill me in tho. Static aura is going to come up more than twice as much.
So you’ll die even quicker to a S/D theif, hurray!
Not sure what you read, but nowhere did I mention after the buff elementalist would be easier to kill. How’d you even come to that conclusion lol. The freed extra 10 point gives a 4sec static aura on a 25sec CD, which is a huge survivability buff.

So you can say what you want about staff elementalist right now and it may be a joke playing 30/20/0/0/20.
Although try imagining that video or that picture of 4.3k with the following buffs in a team fight;
30/30/0/0/10
Fire Magic: Burning rage (25) 5% more dmg.
Air magic: 10% higher crit dmg + 100 precision +Weak spot (25) vulnerability (easily 5-10%) +Tempest Defense +20% dmg w/4sec static shield 25s CD.
+Lets say eagle runes as a joke (because the video and picture are w/o runes) so add + 165 precision + 8% crit dmg +5% dmg. ALL at 77% crit chance.
They have stated numerous times that they are trying to shave specs or classes down. Why are we seeing such huge buffs?
Moving blasting staffs from 20 to 10. THE SKILL EFFECTS 20 SKILLS VS 4!! They nerfed necros greater marks from adept(10) to master(20) because it was OP and only affected 4 skills. Blasting staffs is going to break the game lol.
Why nerf greater marks and buff blasting staffs when the skill is 5x more powerful? I know you cant compare the same trait on different classes but you can see how OP it is!?

Imagine a team fight after patch with ele buffs.
Lets say the enemy is burning 5% + stunned 20% +18% crit dmg (8 runes, 10 traits), +265 precision (runes./traits), + Weak Spot 10% Lets add in Fire XI 20% crit.
Thats a critical for 7055! Do you want to add a flame blast sigil? 3k?. So 7k crits at my 77% crit chance. + random 3ks! This is w/o any might :p
I understanding Im squishy and its partly theory craft, but Ive been playing the build for over a month now in top 100 solo Q and maybe 10 or so games in top 100 Team Q. But with the dps boost and 4sec static aura every 25 secs, I know its going to be more survivable and twice the pressure.
This kind of ele in a match is obviously going to be the focus. But with static aura and a team made for peels, it could be used.Rosebud was the name of the sled.
Next you’ll ask for them to remove fear stacking. After that you’ll ask for burning duration to not stack, when does it all stop? They either rework all the stacking because its not fair to make only 1 skill not stack and leave all the others.
Bring more condi cleanse or reroll imboa kings like the rest of us

It feels like 5v5 hotjoin otherwise. So just hotjoin or WvW while you wait. Its no fun losing or even winning a Solo Q game that feels like a hotjoin.
Id like the better quality when picking a team to do like you said “2 warriors at most”. I wouldn’t mind if a solo team for some reason decided to have someone switch to a 3rd warrior. I just hate seeing 4 guardians on my team and it already being GG.

Anet wasted alot of time so far developing it and as soon as we heard about it/release date we all said it wasn’t going to work, but they put it in anyways and months later we still have the same problem.
Its like fixing a non existent water pipe by replacing it with 1 made out of duck tape. When building a water pipe would have been cheaper and saved time. AND WE WOULD ALL HAVE WATER!

That sounds like a possible solution with an alteration or 2. Something like playing 10 matches per week to stay on the LBs to refresh decay, cause 1 should not be able to refresh DECAY thats silly.
Right now changing the LBs to show the top 1000 with highest glory rank would be better then having this LB that encourages you to not play. X.X
& I dont think I made it sound as drastic as it is.
You can win 8 games and go up 20 LB ranks and lose 1 and go down 21 LB ranks.
So its more like win 8 games and gain 40 mmr and losing 1 game you can lose 41 mmr
Also currently the system matches up 5 similarly ranked players who could happen to be rank 1-5 and then matches together then next group of 5 which happen to be rank 100 or beyond.
They said they are currently working on grabbing 10 players and trying the randomization idea or some other fix.

Currently yes you can not play and easily become rank 1 after losing a game if you havent played for a week-month.
The reason for this is as follows:
You stop playing and your mmr stays at lets say 2000 rank 101
Decay beings lets say after 1 week and you lose 10 points (Now remember decay loss is only temporary and will refresh those 10 points when you play another game.)
Now those facts seem to be true. And heres the sad part:
Those top 100 are currently anywhere between 2001-2050 hidden mmr.
So if those 100 players keep playing/fighting over the top spots in reality over the week their mmr is slowly decreasing because they win 1 game and getting lets say 5 mmr points but everytime they lose 1 game they lose 6 mmr points.
So thats why azshene and the Gotmight are rank 1. Since they don’t play and dont lose mmr when decay is only temporary and only need to play 1 game played every 2 weeks or so.
That means its smarted to not play which alot of people are doing but never caught onto the fact quick enough so, Azshene and Gotmight will forever have the highest mmr’s in SoloQ

You and Colin both knew Hoomas concern and are picking at the word promise.
When you address the community in a news letter saying “Your going to do something” and signing it at the bottom, its the same as promising that or a contract.
The final result of this topic is as follows.
The 1% population of this game who PvPs is in the ghetto part of the city with a broken/leaking home.
We got 3 things fulfilled from January;
- $20 Custom arenas; you need to pay real money or grind hours of Pve to obtain
- Spectator mode; I think I heard was worse than GW1 in anycase is bad for shoutcasting.
- LBS; Which is easier to obtain rank 1 if you don’t play for a month since every1s mmr is decreasing.
I Felt more progression in Halo PvP rank than glory rank or any rewards GW2 has currently.
All my friends are 20 ranks higher than me since I decided not to skyhammer farm with them.
Simply put we are missing progression from PvP. Its still more fun than Wow I guess, that ghostcrawler I tell ya…..
