Well you missed some good fun, those clashes were some tough encounters. We were very disappointed when they left our bl after the 3rd fight (no more reports of people getting rolled and all our supply camps stayed green).

Good fights, leg hugs. There was a long fight before those three north of NW tower — that was fun, too.

Well like I said, I have literally seen your group maybe 8 times total throughout the matchup (thats generous) and with 4 exceptions you’ve been in a relatively large DR group (see what I did there?). But really, we don’t run into you guys all that much which is a kitten shame.

Yeah sometimes you go a matchup without seeing a mans that much. If someone runs 3-4 hours a night and is in one of four lands at any given time it can be a toss-up. I’ve seen PD about the same number of times. Hope to see y’all more. <3

Sorry man on BP the only AD I noticed were the ones we ran over while fighting Sekz and Pk. We would have braked for your Zamboni, but then we would have been hit by Sekz mac truck – plus the ice is further north not outside of hills.

Zamboni reference was to our activity in Eternal Battlegrounds, where we had quite a time fighting BP and Emmy Bays. Charrkat Larks drove Zamboni.

In BL, different story. Some people went to beds, Charrkat went to dream of pancakes and cat treats* and I took the keys. I’m bad at all the video games and did poor strategeries with new group composition, but they are lessons learned. Team members not to blame for my limp ears of leading fight-mans.

I give gold sticker-star to Sekz for push and killmurder of our faces. I feel they had a bigger part in our going to Valhalla (where we had juice boxes and fruit snacks), but that is my perspective and that doesn’t mean BP didn’t contribute in some way. They were on both sides.

AD/QQ/BSTY are one of the few groups you need to take seriously when you see them, solid players and good coordination.

I remember when we encountered AD when we originally transferred to NSP while we were still running small man, not somebody you mess around with. ;)

When we hit you guys that second time near the shore in BL last night, there was clear coordination and much pleasure from being burned and smashed. Not greatest idea to hit such numbers with 9 mans, but badder idea to hit such clearly coordinated mans straight on who can party with flinging dismembered limbs and strawburry sause.

I hope my ears look good on a necklace of macaroni and fruit loops. Feel free to glue and glitter on them, because that is pretty.

But seriously, where does AD/QQ/BSty play at? I haven’t seen any DR all week! I really wanted to skirmish with you guys (huge fun of all your videos!).

ECHO are bro of fight-mans when you get to know them. I give each 5 leg hugs + ears. Honor in battle subjective, tho. Could mean they choose lame pokemans for instant gym win or convince others to eat the red Play-doh cause it tastes like strawburrys (by the way, it does not. Induces homicidal rage in Asuras.)

As for ADQQSTY, play times and numbers can vary. Most of us start getting on and running at around 5PM PST and run until 9-10PM PST, depending. Some of Bsty gets on earlier and starts runnin’.

We mostly run in BL’s, but we’ve been running in Eternal a lot lately, too. Eternal is fun in this match-up.

My brother and I have been having this same problem.

Everyone freezes in place, but we can keep moving (sometimes). Button presses dont work. Sometimes you “reconnect” to the game and everything fast forwards to where things really are, but sometimes not. Has happened to my brother and I on 3 seperate occasions tonight.

Everything else about our internet seems fine. All other applications that require internet run perfectly. Were on LAN and behind a firewall, but we have been playing Guild Wars 2 since launch (August) and have never encountered this problem or tampered with our firewall settings.

ADQQSTY shouts out to IoJ for good fight at garrison in IoJ BL this afternoon. The four of us had a great time fighting all the mans, including the few E-bays.

My ears are still tingling. <3

I think the mesmer is a great and even fantastic at PvE. Like someone else had said, I can also regularly solo 3-4 mobs at once.

Like you, I had a lot of reservations early on. It’s a mixture of things — odd mechanics, lack of traits, the strength of early-game monsters, and so on.

Once you get good, figure things out — you’ll be able to take on quite a bit.

One thing I think the mesmer shines in is the ability to carry on fighting. You can continously pull and take on things without downtime when you get the hang of things.

This is more of an all encompassing point, but I think one thing that bugs me is that the mesmer has a learning curve.

It’s not a class one can readily jump into.

If someone learns to play it well and effectively, that’s their gain. When you’re up against overwhelming opposition and managing to hold your own, you’re having to work for it. You’re pulling all the stops that you can because you played a lot and trained yourself up to that point.

On that note, I just think that nerfs, should any be deemed necessary, have thoughtful consideration so that it doesn’t go too far. An undesirable result is that you get a class where it takes more effort to accomplish the same thing that another class can do. What you achieve should scale with the amount of effort you put in if possible.

Edit: Sounds like im suggestin a learning curve is bad — it aint. I’m just saying that, in a way, a good mesmer has earned their right to play their class well and do well cause of it. Not in every situation of course, but yeah — I think y’all might get what I mean.

Shadowpuppet nailed it pretty well on the head.

The mesmer class takes awhile to get a feel for, but once you do it can hold its own very well in PvE. The utility skills he recommended are good ones to start off with.

-Sword is great as it can be used defensively. If you use your #2, you evade all attacks and can dish out some damage. If you pair it up with focus, you can use the #4 twice to knock enemies away from you. The focus is also great for PvE since it can help you travel, and the Phantasm does nice damage if you find the proper situation for it.

-For myself, I find myself at a tossup between Staff and GS. If you use either as your primary, youll want to stat for each differently.

Staff is probably great to start with as I feel it can be easier to use. You wont kill things quickly, but its a great defensive weapon. Its AoE grants allies Aegis which blocks (and thereby nullifies) attacks for a few seconds. Great to cast on yourself or your phantasms. You’ll want to go for power, vit, con damage (at least early on) for your stats. When you spec condition damage, you go full in. You can consider using scepter instead of sword in your off-hand for confusion, but you’ll probably want to go with sword first. In the very bottom trait line, 20 points you can get “extra bounce attacks” which makes the staff superbly awesome.

GS is more raw damage, and I love to go all out pow, pre, crit damage bonuses on it. At the higher levels it’s quite quick taking down those baddies, especially if you shatter your opponents. I like the precision line as well as boosting my shatters.

Other things that might help is going 10 points in power line so you can make your clones cripple when they are killed (killed, not shattered). 5 points at the very bottom and you get a reduction in all illusion skills. I recommend at least that in all builds.

I wish ya luck, and hang in there! Keep studying, practicin’, and you’ll get it down.

They’re a great PvP and PvE class. They just have a bit of a learning curve. I had reservations at first myself.

Mesmers can deal quite a bit of damage through conditions, confusion, shatters and even some raw DPS in some builds. They also bring a lot of utility to the table in PvP, both for themselves and their team.

Keep at it, keep playin’ about, and good hunting!

I’m having the same problem. I want to disable my right click somehow when it comes to selection and interacting with targets. Any way to do that [yet]?

I have a pretty iffy mouse and hopin’ to get it replaced eventually, but in the meantime its pretty obnoxious to cam about and “accidentally” the enemies or targets.
