Would be nice to obtain this armor without having to be forced to PvE. Stats don’t matter that extremely in this game. Should allow us to obtain it how we enjoy to play. Which was the whole premise of this game to begin with.

The video from Vegeta is perfect for me! Honestly no screenshot can showcase it better… It’s all around the game for me ( all settings MAXED ) 1080 Nvidia. Anywhere where there is like luminate light, flickers on an off depending on camera angle. Almost everyone zone has it.

I am also having this issue, especially in SAB.. 1080 Nvidia here as well.. Please look into this!! Seems like anything with LIGHT effect ( similar to a torch.. the trees at the start of Rata sum, or the lights shining by the PM-632z bot down the ramp. Camera spins and its like Night/Day – Literally….

I use to buy a ton of gems.. TONS.. I use to get banned from buying gems. However it was for protection of credit cards ( since it was the same one ). Your friend is probably lying, or bought gems out of game and got caught. They would shut her down from the gem store, they would NOT remove her from the game.. at least from my experience. I literally was sending in tickets two times a week because of my gem addiction for awhile.

I’m not sure Iason Evan. Having a glider without HOT wouldn’t make much sense.

Yeah, I hear ya Hetha. I guess I’m giving up, it’s been a week with no change or at least a response. Apparently they are purposely avoiding this thread.

Well, I guess they aren’t going to say anything to this thread. What a shame, and Yes. Of course a couple thousand bought that outfit, that’s common sense. It doesn’t change the fact that thousands did not and are upset about the outfit and glider being merged together. I’ve always respected GW2 and have spent TONS of money, bought almost every outfit, I just don’t understand why they made this change, and it’s not like them to ignore a popular thread like this. Especially since it’s been going for week. I must say though, the outfit and glider are looking more tempting everyday. It’s getting harder to refuse even though I don’t agree with the price.

I do agree with many of you, a response would of been very well respected and appreciated.

@zorokai Yeah, that was me. I have HOT and love gw2. However I just convinced a couple of my friends to come play and they are trying it for free ATM. Doesn’t look good for new players what so ever. It’s very frustrating actually, trying to explain to my friends why they need to pay $30.00 for an outfit they would want. I have no answer for them, or for anyone WITH HOT who doesn’t want the glider or make over kit or weapon skin. Once again just doesn’t make sense to me. I have almost all outfits… just don’t understand why they are forcing this type of direction.

Well, as most of us don’t agree with the bundle, I just don’t understand why they are forcing people to buy all this stuff together. What if someone doesn’t have the expansion? They are forced to buy a glider even though they want the outfit? I really wish we could get some type okittennowledgement here. =/

I agree! I think lots of people are going to be willing to buy the outfit OR glider if they release it separately. I really hope they do, I have so much respect for this company and game. I’m holding out and thinking it was a mistake that will be fixed.

I really don’t think they will keep the bundles. It has to be known by them by now it was a huge mistake. It’s basically unfair, just for the sake of forcing people who don’t have HOT to buy glider skins? They will fix it guys, I have faith.

Yeah, makes sense. Like i said though, give them some time. It is the holidays. I’m sure they will at least look into it, considering the response here.

Lets hope they make the change and fix this. I won’t give up on them yet, give them time to understand they made a mistake. Plus it’s the Holiday. Hopefully by Tuesday they make a change.

I also agree, I spend money on gems to buy the outfits and things I like. I usually get every outfit or glider. I refuse to pay almost 30.00 to buy gems to get the bundle, especially during the holidays. Very disappointing, I really like the outfit and glider. 700 gems is a understandable and welcomed price for those things.

I agree, they should revisit the spirits, at least make them able to follow you. They’re such a waste.

Let people play the game the way they want. It’s not like they are glitching the game. If they want their masteries done in a day, who cares? You don’t have to do it that way. It doesn’t affect your gameplay what so ever. This is why I don’t leave my house.

I agree with many above, it should be crossed over. That is almost hurting players getting them into the mindset of NOT looting then forcing them to LOOT in other parts of the game. It’s not needed progression for WvW when we already have it unlocked.

That sucks! I really thought they would of given this one to us. It’s literally just picking up bags.. there is no downside what so ever. Having to earn it again and waste more points on it is so silly. Oh well, what a bummer.

Auto Loot carrying over to WvW, so we can focus on PvPing and not picking up bags…. that would honestly make my experience FANTASTIC… does anyone agree here? I don’t think it would harm anything, if anything we would probably get alot more loot, because I know for a fact I miss stuff all the time.

Just to add to this, my game isn’t connecting either. Take it easy guys, I’m sure they dont WANT the game to be down and are working hard to get back up and running.

Hey, lets take away the option to Q with friends. Some people don’t have as many or play alone, so lets make the community suffer. Try not to take it so seriously.

Lets say, for the sake of this conversation they did disable emotes for you. Open chat would be the next step. When that patch goes live, that is all you would see. People talking instead of emoting.

Here’s what’s going on with this: the standard expansion pre-purchase package is valued by ANet at $50. How much of that bundle is valued as the expansion and how much of it is valued as the base game?

If the whole price is valued as the expansion, veterans should be mad as hell that the game they’ve been playing is valued by ANet at $0, that the studio considers the effort put into the game over the past >2 years worthy of dropping the entire initial box price of $50 (or $60?).

If any substantial amount of the price is for the base game, veterans are upset that they have to waste money to pay for another copy of the game which they just… destroy. Or they could make a whole new account with it, if they wanted to deny themselves access to all of the time and money they put into their first account and jump through all of the timegate hoops that ANet jammed into everything all over again.

Does a pricing quarrel justify going apekitten on ANet? No it does not.

It absolutely does. Stop treating people at ANet like they aren’t fully functioning adults. If they make the choice to work for a business where they completely give away any ability to manage their game and how they sell it, they deserve every bit the consequences of their actions. Perhaps if they’re so upset about getting called out on their lack of control, they should look for a career move that allows them the freedom to not make awful decisions like this pre-purchase setup.

It’s not about valuing the game at $0. As a veteran player, how greedy do you have to be? My god.. Why wouldn’t you want new players in the game you are a “Veteran” in? Almost every game on the market includes the base game with expansion buys. Going to the store and buying an expansion and game separately is a thing of the past. More importantly, why do you think you are entitled to anything more then an expansion? Because you have played for FREE for the last three years doesn’t mean you should get something more because they are selling you another product! Craziness and just silliness! You’re gift as a Veteran is ANet is making the game 0 and is taking a CUT from THEIR money…so that new players will be able to come play with us. It’s called incentive, google it. Refunding players who bought the game recently, oh yeah what thieves! Woof! Before I move on, ask yourself this – if one of your friends who doesn’t play GW2 wanted to. Would you be happier they have to spend 50 on the game then 50 on the expansion? Would that make you feel less cheated as a “Veteran” Listen to yourself.

Pricing Quarrel!?

This doesn’t mean all these people should go crazy on the forums, making videos, starting threads after threads on how much they deserve this or that. If I go to a Chevy dealer, because that is my brand of choice and I see an expansion grille guard for my truck. If I don’t like the price or think I should get more then a grille because I’ve been driving this truck for three years. Should I start a protest? Flip out? Make videos? The problem is, the only functioning adults are Anet. They made a product, buy it if you like it and you think its worth it. If you don’t, then move on and quit stomping your feet because you think you deserve more. Your a customer and a valued one at that. Why do I say that? Because you haven’t been asked to pay a cent for the last three years, and also being able to farm gems in game buy converting gold to gems. Very rare to have a in game store that allows you to absolutely get everything for free. Support the game or don’t. Anet doesn’t deserve the storm of tears that is being blown their way.

That’s really distasteful, but not surprising given the company running the game over there. That’s the way they do business.

If it was distasteful, they wouldn’t sell one of them. To you it’s distasteful, but others might like it, obviously they do considering they are probably selling like hotcakes.

I’m not going sit here and bash Anet, NCsoft or the raging group of people on these forums. However I know a lot of people are interested in this topic and some are tired of it. It’s all over the internet, its even setting records!! ( seriously ) MMO sites, Guild Chats, Forums, Twitch Streams all have this topic the last couple of days.

The elephant in the room is the Heart Of Thorns Pre-Purchase. Personally ( not like it matters ) I bought it, and happy I did. I like Gw2, I play gw2 and have since launch. I got a kitten Christmas Card from this game. ( What!? Ye… ). I buy gems, I’m obviously going to buy the expansion, and more gems. Why not get some extras and a discount along the way. For three years, I’ve played for free for hundreds of hours. It’s worth it to me.

I think cultural mounts would be cool. Nothing special on movement speed, but if they HAVE to put something, make it akin to the speed booster in the cash shop. Would be the equivalent of buying a perma-speed booster for whatever amount of gems. Charr steam cycle or a Sylvari riding on a mini treant of some kind. Asura have golems and humans can have horse! /gasp

I have to agree with this. I know, lots of people don’t want mounts. Why? The speed or just the thought of collecting them or trying to achieve them. This game is very pretty. The community plays to collect the cosmetic things. Some pay for them, some work for them. I have to say adding mounts would be very cool, even if it is for looks only and not the needed speed boost for out of combat.

Short version – Mounts would be, in my opinion an awesome addition to this game. They would also be a huge income and money maker for Anet. I really don’t see the downside here. Once again – even if they are for looks and not a huge speed boost.

Can we look into this please? I’d really like to get this done and get apart of the collection.

All new stuff in dungeons is going to be hard for the first few days. We see it all the time with new content – people fail and get knocked down when they aren’t used to that sort of thing, and they claim it is too difficult.
Give it a week or so for everyone to develop strategies, learn encounters, and build fundamentals, and they will claim it is too easy. Trust me when I say this, the numbers are punishing (but less than they were before), but knowing the mechanics will greatly mitigate the danger.

This is our game, and people DON’T like the changes. What is your thoughts on that?
