Guild Wars 2

Price for these crystals has sky rocketed since the HoT expansion. Every guild needs them for ley line tools. Not to mention, celestial gear. Is anyone else concerned that there is only about 4 nodes in the entire game as of right now that feeds the entire market?

Checked some stats in gw2spidy.com. Sell listing volume was about 8 million quartz crystals in early 2015. Right now there are about 85k crystals in the market. Seems like the demand is gonna either stay constant or increase. I think ANet either needs to add Labyrinthine Cliffs back or add several more nodes in dry top / silverwastes.

Yak’s has one of the best PvE population in the game. Daily meta trains and huge PvE guilds. I only ever WvW, but the few times I do need to go out in PvE lands, I am never alone.

For WvW, I can say that for 2 seasons now we had been always predicted to have a low ranking, only to rise up to the challenge. No one can forget how we broke SBIs bandwagon last season(that 50 page forum thread lol). And this seasons we are hoping to be in the top 3! The tenacity, ruthlessness and the spirit of our WvW crowd is why I have been on Yaks, through bad times and good!

Don’t count out YB out for the top 3 we now have a reason to make a massive showing in WVW. I will just point out season 1 predictions put YB at 5-7? yet we got 2nd. Put up a good fight and the results will be earned that’s something all your calculations and number crunching cant predict. Also have all you predicters also considered what effect the upcoming patch will have as well? Too bad it comes in the middle of season 2 but your only counting numbers, rankings, and coverage what if the wvw meta entirely changes? Not trying to talk trash but do not count your chickens until they have hatched.

YB during S1 was a militia server galvinized by just a few pivotal figures. I don’t doubt that they still have an enormous militia force that will turn out for the tourament. But few of the S1 leaders remain. I would predict YB for 2nd place if DK were still playing, but I don’t think anyone else can instill the organization and dedication that is necessary for militia to prevail (ppt-wise) against guilds.

I would love to be proven wrong.

YB was queuing 3 maps last night at 1 AM server. DK might not be back yet, but almost everyone else is. Not to mention the addition of new commanders and several new havoc guild xfrs.

I didnt say that. But I am pointing out the hole in SBI’s argument that we cant win without Ebay’s help. Ebay did play smart and it helped us indirectly. What I’m pointing out is that without Ebay’s help during OFFPEAK hours we managed to hold on to a substantial lead.

We queue BP borderlands (in which BP has waypointed keeps).
We take their keeps while they are also queued on the map. (Dont use the queue bug excuse, we have seen well over 50-60 BP zergs running around your map)

BP queues Yaks Borderlands while we also have a queue ( I’m not gonna say we didnt )
Takes the south towers and tries for bay for like 5 hours. Cant take one keep. Whole queue sitting in their TS channel cheers and feels good wiping a bunch of disorganized pugs who know how to defend but don’t have the discipline to take it out in the open.

Either you are literally the only 15 man group, or you are just full of kitten. I wish I could see YB do anything other than massive zerg. It would be really great, and probably wouldn’t have tainted my opinion of your server. So far in every single 1v1 it’s been a win, I’ve accumulated over 50 kills, 10 stomps by catching your guys running to the zerg. The absolute worst part is that no one even fights back anymore. Once I’ve caught them and applied 10-15 bleeds they just stop and wait (some f4 ). I don’t stomp the ones that fight, those others are dead.

I wish I could get all three servers to stop being afraid of fights. If you die so what, sure repairs suck but otherwise nothing is lost. Kill, die, have fun.

Learn 2 read. I said 15 of my guildies with pugs, which made around 40. And the pugs not in comms. So 15 guildies 25 pugs against 40 WFD who know how to stack and fight… yea I am going to be using every advantage I get.

But if there are any WFD, they can remember the huge fight we had SW camp on Saturday, WFD vs yaks which went on for 15 mins. Were there any carts from our side? Don’t think so. Although in the end your spawn proximity overwhelmed us, We held on for quite a long time, probably my favorite fight of the week.

Can’t wait to fight FA. We haven’t been matched up with FA since last year in the T3 TC/FA/YB weeks

Welcome to our match-up thread, Crazy. Didn’t expect to see a post from OBS NA in here since we won’t be playing Devona’s Rest in Bronze League Crystal Desert for a couple weeks.

You’re right. Some of what he said does seem just tossed out there. Did you know that 80% of statistics are made up on the spot? Still, he makes a good point. When the populations are lopsided (bet Yak’s didn’t expect this kind of turnout either), there’s only so far skill can go in a game so heavily based on numbers.

@ilr You made a post earlier on about keeping spirit, but that last one doesn’t seem too spirited. I’m not sure if you’re Yak’s or BP. Doesn’t matter. Try to keep that level head. I’d rather read the stuff you’ve been posting that I can agree with than the internet fist fights of those forum warriors who say the same things every match-up thread.

Since apparently everyone has a problem with my signature, and apparently there is some rule where you have to be part of a particular matchup to post in it. I actually would not rather PvD, I have had a blast defending yaks tonight. Much Props to WFD for providing several hours of entertainment.

Most of the keeps we took (where I, personally, was involved), were never PvD. Hills this morning defended by 40+, Garrison tonight defended by 30-40, and yesterday lowlands you also had 40+ and [Lost] was a great opponent.

Honestly props to BP for bringing the fight.

I would Ebay to come in second this match. Would really love to hear BP commanders rage.

@ every one from BP … don’t sweat last nights scores. Especially you guys who just recently joined us. It’s all an illusion. Especially if you know anything abut YB and how they’ve always hidden behind 2v1 setups. We’ve got guilds who specialize in 1v2’s and last night we saw just how bad YB’s response time is b/c of that playstyle. Keep in mind, we cannot prevent our trolls/griefers or fairweather players to do stupid stuff. Most of the people who do play WvW (guilds, roamers, etc) have agreed to not camp spawn during ANY match up. This spawn camping happens in EVERY matchup when one side is so lopsided.

So, is [pro] a “trolls/griefers or fairweather” guild? Because they are the ones that have been camping ET spawn on EB.

No idea, but I know that while we were on YBBL on reset night, PRO and LOOT zergs got wiped by us multiple times. I know that our numbers MAYBE matched theirs in a few fights but I know we were outnumbered most of them. Had to merch multiple times just after those couple of fights.

Are you from CoSA? Because then you know your 40-50 man guild group did infact outnumber everyone on the map. The only time you wiped us was in SE camp and in hills. We wiped you in hills the first time, and then the second time at NE tower. Overall good fights.

Ebay pulling a 8+1 omega golem rush does not count as “little to no SEA presence”. You guys had easily 25-30 ebay running around. More than enough to defend T3 keeps. You were simply outmaneuvered.

After we took bay, your commanders decided to build the golems in our map, we knew your zerg was here, so we told our ebg crew to take OL, which we did with almost no defense. Yeah thats not PvD thats ignorance and crappy response times

When we took your garrison, we had 15 min long fight. Thats not PvD, you had defenders.

It probably was, and that zerg is just for capping, its a karma/wxp train. As such there are many people who bring uplevels and a lot of PvErs. But we did take 3 of your waypointed keeps. Overlook, Garrison and Hills. ^^

We used to do the whole wxp train stuff but that was looong ago, ive never been on another server and i remember when DB was getting farmed bad after about 4 or 5 large guilds jumped servers when it was free to do so.

Honestly though, the whole zerg thing can be fun but i find it far more fun when you go after 2 or 3 people with yourself or another person with yah to test their skills in open combat, either being prepared or not for either side. ….plus less lag. lol!

Long ago? The only way our wxp train works, is if theres an opposite wxp train on DB going around, out of the 30-40 keeps we take, maybe 4-5 are defended, rest are empty.

Now I don’t often do forum posts but when I do it’s wvw related. I’m not Qqing or any of that online mumbo jumbo but fact is veteran quaggan shaman guards ruin the game. Shamans are near enough impossible to do anything against at current state. I’m gonna name the sever. Crystal desert in my opinion one of the most quaggan dense servers say as we put it ;p they’ve constantly kept the nodes red on CDBL 24/7 and cracking those keeps with those shamans is just too difficult. I hope Devon sees this and bans Crystal Desert from wvw because I’d rather not see their quaggans again because that’s all it is tbh lol. Some people innocently really try hard for our sever and same for others, but it’s a real shame severs like Crystal deserts have to resort to pearl sinking into quaggan investments for easy points. Tbh is kind of disgraceful I had more fun getting steamrolled by a tier 2/3 sever with their hyleks and their skritt. I have respect for crystal desert commanders for being skilled at capping quaggan nodes but if its all you do your gonna be good. PS: We just golem rushed CDBL, there were more quaggans then CD. There’s a difference in being OP and the other team’s defense being nonexistant.

Here’s a screen shot of about 20 Yak’s Bend who took a portal into a fully upgraded tier 3 northwest tower when no walls or gate had been down since it was flipped back to green, epitome of class:

The second screen shot took place 1 minute before the first. You can see us running to save the tower. The gate was still up, we thought we had time, until a number of yak’s bend ported right up onto the wall and rushed the lord as evidenced by the first picture.

The second screenshot clearly shows the gate heavily damaged probably below 20%. What happened I think was that we got in, then someone repaired the gate.

I wish, we are full of really insomniac NA players.

I have seen some very fine tactical play this week. In particular, I love the work of the “LOOT” guild, legend ? rank character and his asura guildmate who show amazing perserverance while defending hardened targets.

Very good organisation, scouting and response from the DH and YB teams this week. I hope gamers from all three servers are enjoying the week.

We do good on defense. A lot of our members have been defending our BL from the oceanic horde.

So SoS failed to take Garrison AND Hills this time.

Seem to be pretty smart as only one player from SOS separated from the zerg which proved my theory of lacking skill in 1v1 fights in this tier.

Looking at the map again it seems YB is still afraid to lose… oh wait they are in second place which means they are already losing once again proving a theory that YB is just a bunch of scavengers that suck up PPT from the top server cause they are to afraid of what might happen if they try to place first.

Um, with SoS, there is no trying for first place. You actually have to be in the game to try.

We attack yaks plenty, it just takes forever to dig them out of anywhere as they cover anything they hold with arrowcarts, and then cover their arrowcarts with more arrowcarts for good measure. Never seen more tenacious defenders.
