tl;dr: Leave it as is for now and adjust it if need be a month or so once people has gotten used to it a little.

1. How do you feel about this stability change?
So far I think it’s in a good place. I do believe you should leave it as is for awhile longer before making any major tweaks so people can get used to this change. Right now it’s fresh and so people aren’t used to it and the playstyle needs to be adjusted.

I main an Ele, and I play in an organized group/guild setting where we don’t have the luxury of running 50+ people on the blob unless we pop a tag (we normally run around 20). I’m not the biggest fan of being the blob, I like fighting groups somewhat larger than us and seeing what we can do (ideally I want to fight another 20 man guild group in open field, but that’s rare these days). With the new Stab changes Frontline can move again. The pirate ship meta was really boring, I’m sure some people running around in the blob loved it because they could sit back at 1200 range and pew pew plink but for me I loved the old Stab (before it went to number stacks), both Frontline and Backline had a major role and everyone felt useful. This new change might not be the old Stab but it feels really really nice. Don’t go back to the pirate ship meta, don’t go back to groups just looking at each other because the Frontline is scared to push. Keep it as is for now and let people adjust before going around and messing with the removal duration. You just got people back into GW2 and back into WvW, don’t kill it again by killing Stab.
I also want to note I play Frontline as well, I have over 8,000 hours on my Ele, and over 2,000 hours between my Warrior and Guardian. And I’ve been around WvW since GW2 came out. I’ve been here for all of the changes to this or that.

2. Is there something else you would like to see done to stability instead?
Like I said, for now I’d keep it as is. But if I had to “change” something I’d likely change the 10 man cap on CC fields. I don’t know how it’d affect fighting groups as it is now (like I said I’m happy with WvW now as far as fights), because on one hand going back to no cap might string out players and they have to get back to the tag. On the other hand, it might break up the enemy ball to the point where they might cloud more (like I said, I play in a smaller group, so I really dislike clouding) and so our own bomb won’t be as effective.

That would mean 2 in the night for EU and that is flat out a huge NO. We had to do that for over a year when game came out, and consider you have more wvw in EU then NA you would loose a big pile of wvw population by doing so. Adding it back as it was before they change to saturday is what was working for most NA and EU.

How is that any different than it is now? Right now, NA WvW reset is an hour after daily reset on a Saturday, and if it’s different for EU then keep it whatever it is for EU. I want NA back to Friday an hour after daily reset because that worked for NA for years.

I agree with this. Like others have said, you can buy them with Glory, you can buy them with PVE stuff, but why no love for WvW?

SF is a good server with a good community. I recommend looking for a good WvW guild (there’s a few out there, CoSA, MvM, LORD, KING, SUNS, etc) to run with. There are roamers around SF (it’s what me and 5 or 6 friends did last reset), I know of a few where roaming is all they do. What time zone are you in?

I agree that something needs to be done to prevent all the banner/glyph/signet rezes. Personally I think a debuff needs to hit the Lord. After 3-5 banners are dropped he’s dead and can’t be bannered again for 10 mins. I also think the circle for Garri and Bay needs to be smaller but that’s for another topic.

Nah, I used to be an Admin of a large forum with 300,000+ members (at the time I left) and tons of posts. Do that for almost a decade and you get burnt out on forums. :/
But I do like to read the SF matchup threads and see what’s being said.

Saturday garri fight was epic. I got so much loot from that fight. You guys (SF) were so persistent even though there were so many wipes. I was kinda wishing I could hear what you were saying in your TS.

Yeah, we gave quite a few bags… but at the same time we got just as many from you guys as well. lol
I remember multiple times my bags would be so full I’m running around the outer circle of the Lord’s room just hitting my Salvage-o-Matic on everything, while giving out orders in the VIOP. And then my collections (silk, leather, mithril, etc) started filling up, I lost so much loot in there. I know at one point someone from ET dropped a merchant in the Lord’s room, and someone in my group said they dropped one later on in that fight. lol

I can confirm the breakup of CoSA. I was one of the guild leaders of both CoSA guilds (and there are people in this thread that can attest to this), and today we officially broke apart due to internal fighting. You’ll likely still see a few tags running around, but it was a mess when I left the guild.

I also wanted to say… Great fight in ET’s Garrison a few days ago (Saturday). I was one of the two Commanders (StaR was the other guild, and we couldn’t have taken it without them) leading that, and I was the one who did the first push to break the doors down. It took a lot longer than I thought it would (I think the person recording said almost 2 hours), but still it was a lot of fun. And I will admit, there were a few times where I thought we weren’t going to take it (we also had to have people defending Bay from Kain and a few ET). But still ET put up a great fight in there, and I had a lot of fun… even if a 2 hour siege is stressful to the Commanders. lol

I’m also in the same boat. Got gold for the event, got 25 bags from the chest, didn’t miss a single emote and still no mask.

Anet needs to lock in the current standing. You guys made a 3rd league so things would be more balanced. And yet due to pushing the date back it appears that some servers are intentionally losing a lot of rating to end up in lower brackets where they don’t belong. It pretty much defeats the purpose of the 3 theirs. I don’t have a problem starting on the 18th, but unless it’s locked in soon you’ll have a few Silver tier in Bronze and at least one Gold in Silver. Is it fair for servers such as Kaineng and Yak’s Bend to be facing ones like Anvil Rock and Devona’s Rest?

I don’t mind the point spike, and I like the new map, but the buffs is stupid.

We’d love to have you over at Sorrow’s Furnace.

We have quite a few skilled Commanders and guilds when it comes to WvW and we all work pretty good with each other. We have a few small roamer groups but I don’t think we have enough, so your small man groups would fit right in (I like the small 5-10 man fights but I normally run with my guild to take big things). We don’t have the 24/7 WvW coverage like some servers, if we had a little better night presence we’d be higher ranked. But we do the best with who we have, and when we’re on we do quite well. We have fun in WvW, and when it comes to the WvW core it’s an all around good community.

And as for PVE Sorrow’s Furnace does quite a bit of that as well (we’re more of a PVE server than a WvW one). Even after I got into WvW I still liked PVE, it’s good money and when you spend it on WvW you have to make it up somewhere. We get our temples open a few times a day, we kill our World Bosses, and so on. We used to do Orr runs, we’d start at Fort Trinity and work our way to Grenth, there’s a few of us who’d like to start them back up.

As for the VOIP most of us use Mumble, but there are a few guilds who use TS3 (run by one of the guilds on the server).

I’m also having the same prob. I haven’t went after all the balloons, but the one in Queensdale is bugged for me as well. I don’t know what it is, because I’ve tried the event on a few different characters and it never works. I’ve even guested on other servers and it still not work. But at the same time I see others go up to the chest and loot from it, so I don’t know what it is.

Congrats to DH taking the lead. I got up today and was sort of surprised because we haven’t lost the lead after reset night in months.

I don’t know the details behind why KING isn’t officially participating in this week’s WvW, maybe you guys really want to get a little PVE in due to holding EB so well the last few weeks (I know you guys put a lot of time into that). But if it was something I or someone in CoSA did/said I’d like to apologize to KING (whoever was rubbed the wrong way). You guys are a big force in WvW and I’d hate to lose you guys this week because of something I said/did. So again, on behalf of CoSA I’m sorry if we had a hand in KING not being in WvW this week.

Like others, I bought items from the Gem store and never received the mail. That was 6-7 hours ago, just tested it again with the Devil Horns and again didn’t get the mail for that one.

I also have this same problem, but in my case it’s not the same legs (nor is it the top, because the line is still there even if I use something other than a Winged top) http://i.imgur.com/fAOpz.jpg. That is the Whispers Leggings and it also has the line. Now… if I switch gloves http://i.imgur.com/xf9qc.jpg the line is gone. I’ve tried this with different gloves, each time if it covers the whole hand the line isn’t there, if it’s fingerless then the line will be there. It’s like the game has a problem with the leggings and fingerless gloves
