Getting some good thoughts in here for the devs
My two pennies worth on the revenant……I couldn’t get to grips with it.
That’s is mainly due to the way I learn professions and how they play and build and integrate into the game…..I have to start at level one to understand what each thing does…so all I can really say about it is that listening to other players I know well who have high standards, it is an amazing class to play.
I did play around with ventari aspect just to see what this tome skill was about and I instantly started forming so pretty decent support and heal builds in my head….I still miss monk though so hoping it can make something like that out of it.
I like how for the first 14 hours no one seemed to show interest in this thread, then a Red replies and everyone is interested :P

I’m just gonna say, you can release Chronomancer whenever you’re ready. Mesmer’s my main class, so I’m a harsh critic. I set up my builds for soloability, AKA builds for defeating Liadri. Here’s what I finally settled on with the Chronomancer being introduced:
Weapons: Greatsword, Sword/Shield
Utilities: Well of Eternity (Heal), Mantra of Resolve, Blink, Well of Calamity, Gravity Well (Elite)
Trait Lines: (1 being the top chooseable trait, 3 being the bottom)
Domination 2 1 1
Dueling 2 3 3
Chronomancer 2 2 2It was just flat-out awesome! I felt like a boss and started laughing at enemies as I dropped a well, shattered illusions, tossed down my elite, and watched them melt. It was great. Only vets needed a second round (in Verdant Brink). I did miss my decoy and have a few seconds of stealth at the click of a button. The 25% increase in speed from Chronomancer helped make up for not having my usual focus, and the last skill on the shield was magnificent. All the damage! The first shield skill, had I not been able to move while blocking, would have been a problem, but since I could, it was like casting an illusion with the bonus of blocking.
Final opinion: It’s awesome! I love it! You guys did an awesome job! The only thing that could make it better is a 4th utility slot. But, then, even base mesmer needs a 4th utility slot because of all the utility they have in general. I’m really looking forward to when it’s put out. My favorite class just got better.
I feel exactly the same. I am overjoyed with chronomancer. It’s effective but not OP
I meant to reply to this yesterday and got distracted… well, playing around in Verdant Brink. This kind of feedback is important as well, because while we have to find what’s broken and we need to know what could be better, we also need to know what you do like and what we should keep doing.
That helps us make HoT better just as much as anything, so thank you!
Sometimes we players can only report the broken stuff so this gives people the chance to let the team know what we do like!!
Well no one cares about your transmutation charges as that is not what the post is about :P
Think that was the point Fox, i.e. that it is not added to the wardrobe yet so those of us who unlocked it into there cannot use it.

Yup, happened to me about an hour ago!
Also found this with all volumes in game and on computer turned up high.
No idea, I unlocked the skin before beta by clicking it and yet to find a way to switch the skin.
OK, So I do not post on the forums a lot, but since I have been with Anet since the start, I figured I would give some feedback on the forums….
I came on here and it is mainly negative!
So, I thought that I would pick out the things I have enjoyed about beta and give them feedback on that, feel free to do the same.
The map: Apart from all the shades of brown (I jest) it is a very complex and pleasing little map you have let us play in!
The switch between day and night in the map seems to give some variety and change in the way you play the map, but I feel this could be emphasized even more in the creatures behavior? Perhaps this is already there and I did not notice but something like stat increases when it is night etc?
The map, overall is lovely and has loads to look at and find. The detail in the area is gorgeous. Well done Anet!
Adventures: Now this is something I was looking forward too!
They are marked in such a way with the flagpoles that you run to it too see what it is!
They are fun little mini games that have player rewards.
One thing I would ask is what happens once you get your first set of mastery points out of them? Do you get to repeat or get some other kind of reward?
The pit adventure is just insanity but good insanity! Lots of fun!
Chronomancer: Now before I say my thoughts on the build, I am not one of these players who knows every stat and build off the top of my head. I find a good build that works for me and I play it and usually succeed at most parts of the game with a little help from my ascended shinies…
My main toon is mesmer, so instantly I made a beta mesmer.
I use a zerk/shatter build with GS+S/F in PvE so set up the toon exactly as my main.
I then changed to the shield as I wanted to see the skills.
I then set up the chronomancer traits to help benefit my shattering.
So I was running dueling, illusions and chronomancer with GS+S/Shield.
Overall, it works amazingly.
Not going to lie, I was not daft on switching out some illusions etc for the wells but changed my signet of inspiration for the second well which does cripple and something else.
I swapped out for the new well elite also instead of TW.
The build rocks! I would just love to try it out in fractals and Tyria!
Mushrooms (bouncing): Fun and make life easier to get around but I thought some of them would lead to areas you otherwise could not get to…not found that yet.
Overall, Good work Anet!

Yep, I still remember how exciting those BWE have been and how much there was to explore which I didn’t manage to do. Also our feedback seemed to really matter.

The most important thing in any game should be the player.
I know right? I am not sure what is going on, but I was one of the ones who bought the top end pre purchase for GW2 CE and then this prepurchase top end version as soon as it was released and I felt good about it…
Now I just kinda feel duped…
Hopefully we will get a lot more than we are seeing in the beta or else I will be kittened I spent so much on the top end version!

From being in the beta events for the release of GW2 and now beta for HoT, I feel that this beta is fairly poor in comparison.
The beta events for the release of GW2 were far greater in terms of getting your feedback! Does anyone else remember the pop ups when you completed something that asked you to rate it out of five based on a few different things with an optional feedback box for your thoughts?
That would have been far better for this.
Unfortunately, I feel that although it is good we have been given access to this area, the length of the beta does not reflect the playable content in game.
Within six hours of taking my time playing, I had done pretty much everything available and had discovered the bugs and then had gotten bored out of my skull.
I hope to god that the expansion is much better in terms of hours of game time…I fear I have shelled out the top end price of £79.99 for an expansion the size of silverwastes and drytop!
Hopefully I am totally wrong in this feeling, I really hope I am as I love this game!
To be honest, I logged in with my a beta mesmer and immediately kitted it out for chronomancer and I have incorporated it with my existing build and it seems to smush everything. Died only once so far
Does anyone else here who used to play GW1 miss the ability to save and load skill templates for character builds?
Why on earth was this not carried through to GW2?
Also, multiple weapon sets, we had four in gw1 and we are reduced to 2 here!
I remember before launch we could choose any traits in each line as we wished. There were no restrictions within a line. Then, right before launch they put in the restrictions. People protested in the forum about it and others said it was a good thing to restrict your choices. So, now they restrict it even more and people say it’s a better system than what we has. If each time they restrict choices makes it better, then they should remove all choices to achieve the perfect system.
Personally, I agree. Before launch it allowed us to make an insane amount of different builds and offered far more diversity.
Locking us into 3 trait lines does make us think more about our builds but how annoying is it going to be when we want to change it?
Are they going to introduce a “save build” feature so that our choices are remembered and we can load it from a template like in gw1?
Also, it very much smacks of “lets keep it simple for the new players” which screws over people who can make diverse and balanced builds without restrictions.

The only issue I have is not being able to put an adept trait into a grandmaster slot and so on.
We have unlocked it so why not let us use it as we wish or is this system in place to keep balance in the builds or is it there to make sure that the newer players have a simple and streamlined idiots guide to making balanced builds and therefore screwing over those who can actually make complex builds?

I am running a customised mid 2011 27" IMac with 16GB RAM and a 4GB graphics card and an i7 CPU.
1 – A native client would be awesome!
2 – Sort out the graphics!!!! I load in on OSX and it looks shocking using the current client, I log into windows via bootcamp on the SAME system and it looks how it should be, frikkin awesome!
3 – TP…need I say more? le sigh
4 – Scroll wheel on mouse for zooming! BAIN. OF. MY. LIFE!
5 – ummm, I am going to go with the native client again.
I’d say they slightly boosted mob damage since ascended weapons were introduced….
Not sure but i’d bet so…
And wouln t surprise me….when you introduce weapon +1 you have to put the mob +1 ….progression FTW

love the false info here… max you can get per salvage is 3 ectos per item. 7 items times 3 = 21e at most…. gg
I used a black lion salvage kit last week on 4 exotics and 3 rares and got 24 ecto from it, so no, I don’t see a decrease, I see an increase!!
I iz in your salvage kitz stealingz all your ectoz!
Exotics give 0 to 5 ecto Rares give 0 to 3, so the 24 is VERY DOABLE.

I agree with this.
Having multi guilds in one alliance with the ability to all do dungeons etc together without the whole server / rep / guild thing being an issue would be awesome!

I done beta too because I got CE pre-purchase and the key drops were not very common but a decent rate!

Seriously, I have over 500 locked black lion chests in storage and am I hell as like paying real money or making gems in game to get a lousy key.
In my opinion, the keys should be drops! Or put in as daily or monthly rewards for achievements.
Buying the keys is not worth the payback with the items out of the chests.

Have ANet increased the difficulty level recently across the dungeons?
I done AC P1 last month and it was fine, went in last night and party wiped constantly!
Also tried TA Forward Forward path and the same thing, none of the guys had a clue what was going on as to why we were party wiping all of the time?
And no, it is not because we were lame :P

I would LOVE a native client for GW2! (and GW).
I think it is insane that there is not one, I understand it is another job for ANET, but come on! The market for Mac users and gaming is growing massively!
Why should we have to depend on wrappers and conversions on the fly which slow system resources for a worldwide game!!
Anet, the game is amazing, I prefer running it on OSX, Mac beta is a step in the right direction, but it needs a stage further!

Running OSX Lion.
27" fully customised Mid 2011 model.
My Logitech wireless USB mouse I use for GW2 playing has suddenly stopped allowing me to use the middle scroll wheel in game for camera and zooming in and out on world map.
The scroll wheel works on Win 7 Ultimate booted up through Bootcamp partition, but just not on mac beta client.
Anyone else had this?
