Because it doesn’t matter u half-wit. Unranked is where anyone can play with everyone. it’s not about farming new/low-skill players. Sometimes you want to try new builds before you use it in ranked, sometimes you just want to play with more than just 1 friend because ranked won’t allow it and sometimes you just want to warm up like that plat player told you even if you feel super skeptical about it. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter and it shouldn’t matter. Unranked is for a fun and casual pvp experience. That still means you will play against really good players and really bad players regardless. If you’re salty you got rolfstomped by a bunch of plat players then you’re just making it hard for yourself.
OMG AI is so LAME. Soooo boring. I want THIS, I want THAT. Pls REWORK the entire game for me because everything is LAME and BORING.
How about you wait till the next test weekend before you start barking on the forums?
The new icons are honestly just bland and disgusting. Like who even comes up with this crap. Who thought the old icons were confusing and hard to distinguish? It makes no sense. Not to mention how lazily they implemented it. They decided to keep the last season icons in the pvp menu even. The old icons looked amazing and you could tell who was what class easily. Right now all the prestige of being a plat seems washed away by a kittenty icon that resembles a 2 yr old’s art project. smh
Bery Bery NICEUU!
Anyone who’s ever played a competitive game knows that getting salty is unavoidable especially when you’re in a game mode where you’re trying to win and it’s more likely than not you’ll meet the worst of the worst scumbags in a very competitive environment. That said people on this forum whine too much sometimes and it’s more frustrating to listen to them complain about condi meta, HoT powercreep and dead game modes than to deal with salty losers in PvP.
Honestly just stop. You’re noisy, annoying and you serve no purpose than to demean this game. Most of the time the people who are complaining about condis and other things being overpowered are just plain bad and really ought to “gid gud.” People hate that term but really did you really expect to jump into the game and expect to win again and again and again without trying to improve yourself at all? Oh a losing streak? “Gee maybe I’ll queue at some random time when no one plays this game. oh waow! nice plats in silver games. 10/10 best matchmaking ever!” And from this we also come to the topic of player population.
We all know a big part of GW2 doesn’t play PvP. Like any1 who has ever gotten plat or maybe just gold will know this from just standing in the middle of an open world boss fight. It’s understandable why people avoid pvp in the first place but spamming “PvP is dying” isn’t going to bring more people into the game mode. This is GW2 and people play what they want, when they want and even though I agree that Anet’s matchmaking needs to be better, that said maybe do yourself a favor and try queuing during prime time when most people are online.
Remember salt is a byproduct of ANY competitive environment and it’s important not to let it bother you too much if you’re looking for a good time. Just block overly salty idiots and move on. Heck you might be the salty one sometimes and people might block you but don’t whine about it on the forums because it’s annoying and you just end up looking dumb. If you’re having a hard time, try to improve your play and maybe just take a small breaks once in a while before u get burnt out. Remember everyone is human and everyone WILL get salty at some point or another and that’s okay.
In all honesty, I love the pvp in this game. It’s fun and exciting imo and although I wholeheartedly agree that it can be better in certain areas, I don’t think whining on the forums is going to make all the problems go away. Play smart, gid gud, and EMBRACE THE SALT. Don’t condemn it.
Hey for what it’s worth try queuing only during prime time when the population is at it’s peak. Specifically NA prime time between 6 PM to 12 PM EST or SEA prime time from 6 AM to 12 AM EST. Population is very low during off hours and you’ll end up playing with higher tier players or just the same randoms you hate. Plus side of playing during prime time is you meet more people who are at your skill level and there tends to be more quality matches. And don’t get upset when you lose so much. Stay positive and try to play better. There’s always room for improvement and regardless of what people tend to say about pvp in gw2, imo it’s really fun and competitive. Good luck on climbing back.
1 vault and u is kill. No.
so yeah…NA is basically always 3rd when you compare NA to EU and the Asians
Bruh. EG is why NA Doto is best doto. No cares about your SC2 and CS:GO scene (jk csgo ftw). Mah boi RTZ is a legend. He’s gonna win a Tea Eye this year. I can’t say for gw2 but regardless of who’s better there will always be bad players for both sides. Chances of meeting people that are decent rises as you climb up the ladder. I wouldnt compare things in terms of regions cause both regional servers are diverse cause every1 around the world has to pick 1 of these 2 regions to play on. Regions don’t determine quality of matches at least in gw2.
This probably isn’t an important issue but while weilding the Bifrost the Winds of Chaos projectile doesn’t get the rainbow effect when using Phantasmal Warlock.
I understand where you’re coming from but honestly at this point people should know how important Skyhammer is because it decaps all enemy occupied points. This happened in Gold 1 too. No one here’s that great or anything but they aren’t silver or bronze players either. One would assume they at least understand the fundamentals and quirks for each map (and there aren’t that many in ranked anyways). It’s really frustrating when something like this happens. The kitten I lost is never coming back either thanks to the two funniest clowns in Tyria.
I am so tilted right now. Why is it so kitten hard to understand that it’s important to contest skyhammer!? Had 2 kitten necros on my team who insisted on afking on mid while me and a friend were trying to contest skyhammer against 2 guards and an ele. They weren’t fighting any1 mid. They just stood there and right after we lost skyhammer they had the audacity to say “Forget canon. Count to 3 and then dodge. ez”
And then later on when I was defending home with 2 other teammates against 3 enemies, they just stood at mid. Just 2 necros enjoying the sun. No enemies. Just chillin. We were winning before but the enemy caught up after 2 skyhammers. They didn’t rotate and when the last skyhammer was ready they still stood there and didn’t contest it. We lost the point we were trying so hard to defend and we lost the game when we should’ve won. I hate people. I hate those 2 clowns especially. I’m losing my kitten right now.
scholar
in organized groups, you should already have a constant 25 stacks of might from PS War and Rev, the extra might from traps you get from DH runes are inconsequential.
That’s a good point. But how about the extra ferocity. Does it make a difference over the extra power you get assuming you’re critting pretty hard?
Hey guys. First time posting on the forums. Question! Which rune set would you say provides higher DPS or has the potential to provide higher DPS?
Rune of the Scholar or Rune of the Dragonhunter?
Dragonhunter provides more ferocity and gives 5 stacks of might per trap used. Big potential for short bursts of crazy dps.
Rune of the Scholar provides more power and a 10% damage boost when health > 90%.
Let me know what you guys think. This only applies to all modes of pve (Dungeons, Fractals, Raids). Not WvW or sPvP.
