That is from Webster. Just didn’t think being different got a name banned. After all. Isnt being what makes the world go around. All in All. I could see if it would have been banned soon after making the toon. But I have had this name for well over 1yr. And it only got banned after I link the stuff to make the legendary The Juggernaut. And then making the Juggernaut and linking it. To show I had worked for it and built it and not just bought it off the TP. 2mins after I linked The Juggernaut my name was banned. Seems that some kid or someone was just mad . So reported my name.

BTW. My 2nd account that my wife uses is hitechredneck . Are they going to ban the account ? Didn’t know they could change the account names

Buddy, Some of us work VERY hard and work all night to gain a point lead. I have the right to say what I feel. I sure don’t see u helping at all at night or day for that matter. Until u work ur kitten off all night for few weeks and pay for upgrades. Maybe u need to stop trolling the forums and do something to help the server. Then u MIGHT have the right to post in here.

Excuse me. But GoM didn’t start out in first place. Our night crew worked very hard for everyone of them points. But from day one of GoM coming back up to T7. I have been playing WvW EB for close to 16hrs a day. And I can count MAYBE 4 or 5 times that NSP or DR has taking 1 single tower of each others. Maybe a Dane from time to time. You can call it crying or whatever u wish. But something is going on.

You say its because it is the norm for other server to go after the server in first place ? From day 1 we was in last place and this has been going on. DR, Why not ask a few of ur Commanders why they never attack NSP ? NSP, why not ask some of ur Commanders why they don’t attack DR more ? NSP and DR both have tried many many times to take GoM KEEP. Not see 1 time NSP or DR even try and take each others. That is because a few Commanders on NSP and DR are working together. Not saying everyone is doing it. But there is maybe 2 on each side that is working together.

It doesn’t take rocket science to keep an eye on the map and look for orange swords and see where battles are going on. And see towers turn green or blue. And notice that Greens towers never turn Blue and Blue towers never turn Green.

Just asking to judge urself. Take a look at the map and the Commanders that are on at the time and you will see that some are working together. Yes first week I can understand. Hit the new guys. But this has been 2 1/2 weeks and still no NSP or DR attacking each other. WTF is up that that ?

REALLY GW2. is the updated that important to have a WvW update at 6:00 pm server time ? What is up with that. Why not at 2am or something.

Just got to love the TROLLS that have nothing to do but troll the dungeon forums and play games all day. Post 20x the same thing about how great the new updates are.

The updates are getting worst and worst each update. As a player of most all Anets NCsoft games. I do have to say GW2 is becoming a VERY big let down.

AC dungeon is a lvl35 dungeon. It should be that a pug team should be able to finish with a little work. Anet goes and nerfs AC but leave CoF alone where the zerkers just farm away with there Mez/Warrior team. Why doesn’t Anet focus on real updates for the real player base ?

Anet u are catering to the wrong ppl. The average players that play GW2 are ppl that have jobs and only can play a few hours a day . Are the ones that buy gems and trade gold from the TP. That is why u have a job. Real ppl paying CASH money for upgrades. You are running them all off for these hardcore gamers that farm gold and NEVER spend real CASH on the game. Just keep up the upgrades and running everyone off. Soon u will be looking for a new job.

Its already happening. Use to be everytime I logged in and went Lions Arch I would get put in the Overflow. This weekend I have not seen 1 overflow. Hmmmm, what does that tell u ? #1 goal of any company is to make money. Sense GW2 is free to play . Just where are u going to make money ? Less average players = less REAL CASH .

Can someone confirm that setting shouts to auto-attack only work now when you are in combat along side another player.

To test this you can set a shout to auto-attack in Lions Arch and start it and see if it keeps going. This used to work prior to the Feb Patch.

Yeah i have for great justice auto locked and it only goes off in combat. that patch saved me from going insane

Yeah but it seems to be a bit touchy on when and if it works. I just didn’t see anything in the patch notes that said it was “fixed” like this. So I am curious if its working as intended now or broken?

I 2nd that. It is for sure Broken. Only works 10% of the time in battle. I have a shout warrior and now I cant stack might like before.

Does anyone else have a problem with turning ur shouts on auto ? Seems like the last update the auto has been disabled .

Made this Topic to try and help new players understand alittle better. If you have something to add that will help. Plz add ur comments.

AoE’s ( Area of effect ) In GW2 the Bosses and mob that use AoE’s will lay down red circles on the ground that gives you a 2sec warning that u need to be out of this area in 2sec or ur going to get hit. Some AoE’s hurt more then others.

1. The biggest tip I can give that has helped me the most. Is learning to play Zoomed out more. As a Warrior and someone loves to play melee. I have always played zoomed in so I could see the Boss in the eyes. But in GW2 and with AoE’s played zoomoed in is nothing but death. The Bosses are alot biggest and if u are looking up at them. Then u cant see the Red Circles on the gound are sure to die.
2. The Dodge key . I think that by default it is the " V " key . You can change this key in the options to what fits u best. When u see the AoE’s ( Red Circles ) u usally have 2secs to move. If u hit the Dodge key most of the time it will get u out of the area. Wait about about 1sec and u can usally move back in unless u see more red circles. Then that is when its a good thing to have a ranged weapon.
3. Above ur red health bubble is a yellow bar for ur Endurance. That gives u 2 dodges when it is full. Try to use ur dodges sparingly.
4. There is under the options combat/movement There is Melee Attack Assist. This will help those that end up running though the Bosses. When playing zoomed out its hard to not to end going though the Boss and alot of attack do not attack behide u. This makes them like a wall where u stop instead of walking though them

Everyone plays diffrent. As a mostly melee player. I usally melee until I see the red circles and then dodge out of the area. After the dodge if I dont see anymore red circles I run back in with melee. If there is other red circles I switch to my ranged weapon until the timer runs out for my melee. The timer reset and I can go back to melee. I dont see any AoE’s I go back to melee and into the fight. Knowing what Bosses do mostly AoE’s and the ones doing mostly melee helps alot. I change from 2 melee weapons to 1 melee and 1 range depending on the Boss. But u do have to do this when not in battle. GW2 will not let u change up weapons while in combat.

If your use to played zoomed all the way in. Maybe take a day or 2 and go zone hopping and fight diffrent mobs until u get use to playing zoomed out some. Its very hard to get use to sometimes. About half zoomed out seems to work best for me.

Hope this helps some of the players. If anyone else has tips. plz post and lets see if we cant help others before they get in the dungeons and get flamed. Best of Luck.

Atamis, Thank you for willing ot help and show others the ropes. There are many many others like u in the game. Thank you again for ur time. With that being said. I dont think most that just stand in the red circles fully understand the AoE circles or just cant see them. It really wasnt until learning ot run CoE and fighting Alpha until I learned that I had to learn to play this game zoomed out. From someone that has run Tanks pretty much my whole MMO live. CoH, GW1 and GW2. I have always played zoomed in. To make it makes thing alot easier to see the Boss and who I am fighting. But in GW2 zoomed in means death. You just cant or it is very hard to see the Aoe ( Red Circles) When u are zoomed out its hard to see ur toon. With my Ranger I do played zoomed out. Not for sure if it will help. But when explaining to the new players to dodge the red circles. Maybe add in there to zoom out more. I have found it does help them alot more. But does take alittle time to get use too when u play mostly melee toons. Thanks again for ur time and willing ot help others. GL

It really would be nice to be able to solo or even go back to where we could adjust our Hero’s ( Hencemen ) like in GW1.You have urself and 7 other toons on ur team. You could make a run in GW1 with Hero’s u lvl’ed and build. If it didnt work u could go out and adjust a few powers and try again. Not have to worry about what others think or say. Was one of the best parts of the game. I enjoyed being in control of my own team. Sure it would take some time to get though some missions trying diffrent setups. But you didnt have to leason to some kid cussing and talking trash about how u played. Take breaks when ever u want. You was in full control of ur game and ur speed.
But from my understanding. GW2 has said that it will not happen. That havin Hero’s in and solo’ing runed GW1 and there not going there again.

If solo’ing is what u want. You should really look at GW1 if u never played it. The way things are going in GW2. I find myself every day of getting closer and closer to go back to GW1. There is alot of missions. You never run out of missions to do solo. GW2 is great until u get to the end of the quest and then u really dont have much choice but to play with others or find another game.

Maybe after a year come back to GW2 and all the elitiest will have gotten bored and moved on to something diffrent. Then u will have the turn fans of GW2. Right now u got Game of the year and its a free to play MMO. So u have to take the good with the bad until there weeded out. It wont take to long. Unless GW2 just runs it into the ground like City of Heros. Nerfs and changes every 3 months.

“Res-rushing” is when a player uses a waypoint to resurrect immediately after being defeated in a dungeon and then runs back to the fight, instead of waiting for their party members to resurrect them.

More like Dad taking away the car cause its missing 3 wheels and you shouldn’t have been driving on the sidewalk (Even though its the ONLY way to get to work quickly if you can’t change lanes very well).

Did dungeon loot get better to compensate? Getting thrashed for a mere 5 gold is a bad deal in my book.

1 .Yes, the are full health if atless 1 person isnt within close range.
2. No the loot has stayed the same. And its in no way even close to 5g. You might get something like 1.5g after selling everything. Not sure on gold. But its very low

Jesus christ, even showing up to a dungeon group in that gear is offensive and you should feel bad.

I’ve done AC and CoF on 2 characters (4 runs each) since the patch and haven’t had an issue yet. If you aren’t running exotics and superior runes you should feel bad for wasting your parties time.

OMG, AC lvl35 dungeon CoF lvl65 Dungeon. Just how are they to get Exotics and Superior runes ? From my understanding. You dont get Exotic armour and Runes until lvl80.

Title says it all, I am pretty confused and hugely baffled on why players are complaining about the removal of waypoint ressing. This is the norm in every MMO.

And why did they have it? For the exact same reason GW2 implemented it, so that players wouldnt zerg rush a boss. Now, there was a time wayyyy back in WoW’s early days where you could revive at the graveyard, run back into the raid / dungeon, and continue fighting the boss, but they fixed that quick after seeing how players would just use it as a tactic to overcome raid bosses (specially world raid bosses). But were talking 2002-2003 here.

This mechanic has been in every MMO to date, and it was very odd to see that it wasnt in this game in the first 4 months. Never understood it, but its been resolved now.. +1 ANET!!

Remember: WoW has it. Rift has it. EQ2 has it. <your choice of MMO> has it!

Sorry, But GW2 was promoted as a DIFFRENT then any other MMO. Something for ALL players and skill level. Things in other MMO’s has NOTHING to do with GW2 . Why do u elitiest keep bring up other MMO’s ? Other MMO’s have healers and someone that can Rez . U keep comparing Apples and Oranges.

Please tell me a single MMO where you can still res-zerg encounters? It made GW2 feel unpolished and crude.
1. Guild wars was promoted as a diffrent MMO ! So stop comparing it to all others. Really feels GW2 is slowly starting to convert to just like all other MMO’s . There going ot just keep nerfing and run it down into the ground just like CoH . I guess there was nothing learned from CoH and GW1.

Res-Rushing was not going to stay, and it’s definitely not coming back.

I have to disagree with that, far better to have one month of ‘hard’ dungeons that can be tested and tweaked by the player base (both players figuring it out and devs getting data about what doesn’t work, but should have), instead of a month of face-rolling dungeons with NO data because everyone won no matter what they did (and what they did would always be the laziest, fastest thing possible).

Then maybe they should have focused on fixing the glitches and the farming. Going though walls and ceilings 3 in 1 runs. It only takes a few days of an update like this to push paying customers to a new game. It wont take but a few days of nothing to do but troll the zones looking for events to kill a game. Then what are YOU going to do ? Play ur dungeons with only ur guilies because there isnt anyone left that cares ? You will leave soon after because u dont have anyone to look down on .

And you know, I’ve actually helped many lower level and inexperienced groups with dungeons. I’m not an elitist jerk because that’s my personality. It’s the only way for me to make dungeon content at least a little bit fun right now ;-)

I do understand there is times everyone wants an experienced team. I have been playing on-line games sents dail-up with Quake 2. I am no super pro. I pretty much hold my own. But there seems to be some players that think everyone should know from the first run in exp mode you should know everything and there shouldnt be a learning curve. Just gets really old seeing some ppl telling others they need to learn to play. Everyone in this world is diffrent and have diffrent skills. So your really good at video games. That doesnt give you the right to knock other players that need longer time to learn.

I dont really care about if there is waypoints. It does make it a challenge. Just saying that with some of the heavy hitting Bosses there needs to be some give somewhere for the lesser skilled players. I waited 2yrs for GW2 to be released. Just hate to see it die because an upgrade that doesnt make sents.

JUST add team chat would fix it all. That way under skilled players can learn on the fly and not die so much without being flamed all the time. All these elite players that cry about how easy the dungeons are. I bet everyone of them are on vent with there guildies. Sure its alot easier when u can talk and explain while playing. But not everyone wants to join ur guild and get on vent and hear all ur drama all the time.

This updated was just uncalled for at this time. Maybe if they would have released part 2 first instead of part 1 first. Someone got it backwards.

Removing the waypoints of dungeons is the one thing that will exclude me completely from doing dungeons and enjoying them, as you wont be able to res back (as we do in the entire world why should dungeons be an exception) i will spend most my time in dungeons dead, and will be refused in futures endeavours in the dungeon, i already enjoyed very few of them as is hard as hell to get into a party to go explore it, and you can only try it with full party as it dont scales, so my 4 attemps of doing them will be my last, its sad to seee the evolution we had on the dungeos from gw1 is going away and back to the kitten wipe everytime, i agree for organized teams like guild teams will continue to prevail over the casual losers like myself who arent going to be even able to get into a group now, even worse be able to finish dungeon, again gw is turning its back on the casual playr which ironically is the one that real spend bucks on store, since leet everyday leets keep getting rarer and expensive stuff to trade for gold and gems, i have a great idea, why dont you restric the armor fixing on dungeons too, so it get just like gw1 dungeons where you have to zone to outpost to start again, increase in dificulty wont bring the fun back, such a beautyfull game, so bad management, bring on the nerfs anet !

Very well said. I have a full time job and family. I dont have endless hours to scan the forums to find every little bug or advantage. " This Boss holds his hand up before firing the fireball. This set of rings u need to dodge when there is smoke on the ice. " I have bought this game for my wife, son, internet friend and me. That is 4 copies. And spent I know over $200.00 in Gems. over the last few months. Just to go into a dungeon to have some elitiest Jerk to spam my pm’s. About how I need to learn how to play and dodge more or get in the dark kicked from the team for dieing a couple of times.

It really seems GW2 on really care about the ppl that really pay the bills. But want to cater to some elitiest that run lvl35 dungeons at lvl80 with zerker gear and then complain that the dungeons are to easy. Hmmm, lvl35 dungeon I wonder why is so easy. Going and running around in Queensdale at lvl80 would get boring too. Go play Factions. I am sure FotM lvl50 and above has something for them. But leave the lower lvl’s alone. The last few months I have seen the GOD complex just getting worse. Go take a look at gw2lfg.com. 90% of the post are for skilled players only. These same elite players will be bored with the game in 6 months and move to a new game. Leaving GW2 with no soild base. I played GW1 from time of release and sent alot of money there . Bought 8 hero slots and all the upgrades and everything. I dont care to join a Large Guild. With all there rules. Vent or TS stay active in the forums with all the drama. I just want to be able to log on and join a team and have fun. Doesnt matter if I die 10×. I learn alittle each time and do better the next time. But dont care to be cussed at and talk down too. Report it to GW2 and all they say is. " That is what the Filters and Block are for "
Now about the upgrade. I can understand there point of wanting more team play. Ok !

1. Why not add voice chat in game. Its ALOT easier to explain things. Then typing it out in chat. And would make the players feel more like they are part of the team. There is nothing worse then getting on a team with 3 or 4 guildies that are on vent and never talk to u or explain anything. GW2 really want more team play. There is other ways to do it. Then just let u lay there dead while other talk about u in vent. They only reason u are there is because they have to have that 5th person to unlock the door or get to the next stage.
2. Give a rez signet that only charges after killing a Boss or a Champion like in GW1. Then ppl wouldnt need waypoints all over the place. 1 waypoint at the start would be fine. But taking away res while in battle really takes away from the game for the 99% of the players that play to relax.
There really needs to be a roll back on this update until a more solid fix can be made.

DUNGEONS should be for all players to have fun. Not just the 1% Elite. There really isnt just alot to do solo in GW2. After u finish quest its all about teams after that. If you take away dungeons away from the average player and there not fun anymore. The game will die.

Someone really needs to think more about the players that pay the bills.

I have waited the 7 days from my transfer. It is now going on my 8 day and and it still will not let me transfer. Did the update reset the Transfer time ?

NO Re-Spawn while in combat ? If you are serious about this. Why not just put a time limit before re-spawn ? 5-10 secs seems fair .
