if my toon got rolled back do you think i would be able to get back on it?
It happenned twice (once in Divinitys Reach and once in the Black Citidel) I can get back ok on the one in the Black Citidel but I can’t get back on in Divinity’s Reach.
This is an urgent warning to anyone playing the game, in the outfits section of the hero (Equipment) screen, DO NOT for any reason click on the Fancy Winter Outfit, if you do you will crash with a disc I/O error and will not be able to re-access that characer again. until the bug is fixed I am currently locked out of 2 of my 4 characters.
This needs fixing NOW!!!!!!
I tried but its very unbalenced for any toon that is not maxed in PvE
First things first, sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I couldn’t think of anywhere better to put it.
When I used to play GW1, by far the highlight of my time with the game was the Fort Aspinewood PvP mode but now it is utterly deserted, so can anyone tell me if there is anything the same or similer in another MMO or anything like that.
I would like to point out something which (at least for me) ruins my enjoyment of the game some-what, This thing being the speed in which you level up in the game.
I have recently started a new human character and was wanting to complete all the human maps (and content within them) in order level by level as I get to them, but I just end up over levelling (for example), I completed and left Queensdale at level 18 ankitten ow doing level 17 content at level 20. On a different character, I managed to stay the appropriate level, but in order to do this, I am constantly rushing through content and running away from events to avoid over-levelling and it is making me not want to play.
I do however have a suggestion on how this could be sorted out without affecting other players.
My idea is that you could make it so that when you reach 100% XP, you would not be able to accumulate any more XP or level up until you click the level up reward tab and click accept to level up, also to avoid annoying other players with this feature, you could have an option to turn this feature off, making Levelling up work like it does currently.

In GW1 the only endgame stuff was a flashy weapon and that’s about it, yet GW1 went on strong for ages, so I wouldn’t be all that worried about GW2.
At the moment, I am patching the game and as this is my 1st time playing, I wanted to know what the best starting race/profession is.
I am more drawn towards human atm for 3 reasons,
(1) I have seen the starting mission at the BETA thing, so i know what to do.
(2) Humans seem to be the most neutral of all races.
(3) Due to the (assumed) neutral nature of them, I assume that the human areas in the in-game world will be in the centre, making it easier to decide where I want to go.
As for profession.,..I’m not sure which one is best for 1st time players.
So I have been reading the forums, and from what I have read, Sheepers seem to be a real issue in GW2.
What I mean by ‘sheepers’ is the people who will not team up with you unless you meet certain requirements (EG-Having to have an elite skill in GW1 PVP)
anyway it seems like rangers get the bulk of the trouble just for being rangers, can anyone give me any tips on dealing with sheepers in GW2?
P.S I was not sure if I should put this in general or economy, just tell me if I need to move the thread.
Ever since I got GW 2 (Pretty much the first few months after release) I have been unable to play it.
The reason for this is because I can’t patch the game, it just loads for (roughly) an hour then an error message pops up saying that the operation timed out.
I know it is not the game because it has happened with other non related downloads as well.
Can anyone tell me how to stop it from timing out?

When I try to patch the game, the thing that tells you how many kb per sec there are, will just randomly dissappear, then it won’t load any further, anyone know what is causing it and how to fix it?
