Necro is likely to always be free points to any half decent roamer with the reaction time of a turtle.

We have the absolute worst telegraphs in the game. If you die to a power necro, you made a huge mistake somewhere, maybe you let go of the keyboard. Maybe you decided to take a nap, but in most ideal situations, a necro isn’t going to outplay you in a power build.

honestly it doesn’t feel any different. These changes feel arbitrary and minor to the point that they are barely noticable.

Just a bone tossed to the necro after they gutted the condi builds.

And they keep ignoring Turrets.

they keep ignoring turrets because they want engineer to be a middle ground support jack of all trades multitool that exists in a game that does not support the middle ground. Also turrets made pvp babies cry at launch, probably killed a 5 sig hambow warrior dev at the time, and thusly got nerfed to obscurity.

You either build tanky, or you build bursty, anything in between is punished severely in the harder content.

Honestly I run phalanx strength berserker and tweak it as needed for the situation.

Generally rotating between Greatsword, longbow, axe axe and axe mace for content needed. Constant damage ramping and then headbutting the enemy to get even stronger.

I too have this issue, Drivers up to date, running near max settings for everything.

Caves do the same thing. Now a new region in Queensdale near the bandit spawn does the same thing as well.

I’m sure they broke something at this rate, I’ve witnessed it on multiple machines and multiple qualities.

My WvW Necro Build

I honestly run Reaper just for the shouts as a midline fighter. When the zerg pushes into your group, getting chilled to the bone off with two wells and a tone of staff marks onto the ground can generally rob/strip a huge amount of DPS and burst from their push.

Alt Keybinding functionality changed

Previously before the update I was using the utility functions (1-3) in conjunction with Alt+1, Alt+2, and Alt+3.

This was a comfortable and easy to use setup for myself. It has been a sort of MMO standard for ages.

However, with the recent update, it seems the functionality of alt has once again reverted to this “left alt” and “right alt” nonsense.

Problem: Trying to bind alt+2, alt+3, alt+4, alt+5 no longer works.
Existing binds of alt+2, Alt+3, Alt+4 no longer works.
Attempting to bind alt+1 does work, and will work using left alt 1 as the binding in game.
In the input menu pressing Left Alt
2 will result in only Left Alt being entered into the binding field, preventing functional keybinds from being created.

It was working fine yesterday. 3/17/16.
EDIT: 3/18/16
So, I double checked the keyboard and the drivers and nothing changed this morning.
However windows 10 snuck into the mix and installed itself thanks to the flip around of the menu options for the upgrade widget they added.

After the windows 10 update, binding Alt and a number is now functioning again. Strange, not sure if its a windows 8 + gw2 issue, or I just had a janky driver that didn’t appear busted.

Meanwhile, I think the entire past year of GW2 has been filled with little more than bi-monthly achievement grinds with nothing of any real interest or substance added.

That is mostly because development of lasting content isn’t happening

they’d rather band-aid us with “living story” than be forced to spend resources on an actual “expansion” or content additions which stayed present.

I honestly want them to make the purchased clothing something you can keep reclaiming. Preferably for the account as I would probably invest in every new set that came out over time.

Paying for bank space? Sure, thats fine, you get more than a few slots for that. Extra bag space? Also fine.

Paying to keep using the thing you previously payed 10 dollars to use? Not so much.
Permanent clothing could easily lead to exclusive clothing from the lions chest.

As is the temporary “consumable” cosmetics are a rip off and not worth their price point.

Honestly I loathe the current system myself.

> 800 gems ($10) to get a 1 use set of skin items for armor.
> 200 gems ($2.5) for 5 transmuting stones lvl 80
> 150 gems ($1.75) for 5 transmuting stones lvl 79 or lower
keep in mind that the stones consume the item bearing the style and apply it to the new one.
> 300 gems ($3.75) for 1 transmutation splitter to seperate the cosmetic without destroying the item.
Also the only way you can keep a second set of armor if you applied it but wish to swap to a new one.

I get that Arenanet has a profit they need to make. But these prices feel a bit excessive for what you are actually receiving.

My suggestion really is to make the purchased items BOA, and done much in the way the heirloom and Achievement reward skins are done. If it has to be on a per character basis, thats fine. I can almost promise the moment they release a system like this, the cosmetic sales would spike.

Retroactively grant the skins to people who already bought it of course. Price point shouldn’t change. I feel that 10 usd for clothes in a game feels reasonable if they are a permanent reclaimable resource for the character.

There are clearly systems in place to implement this:
Hall of monuments reward vendor.
Achievement panel rewards pane.

Guild wars 1 actually did this very thing on an account wide, permanent basis, currently Guild wars 2 is inferior in this regard.

The existing system feels like its trying to keep away from repeat purchases. I may be one of those types that the “pure” gamer hates, willing to spend excessive amounts on a cash shop. But it has to have a certain value in it first.

TL;DR
Cash shop cosmetic clothing is overpriced and temporary.
Purchased cosmetic clothing should be an unlock treated much like Hall of Monuments/achievement rewards.
Inferior to previous game’s handling of this very thing.

I’ve noticed it getting worse and worse as the week progresses.

Sometimes clicking the window to make the "Skip scene’ option appear causes the NPC to say some of their lines, though typically they will still skip audio even after this has been done.

I don’t know whats going on, I hadn’t adjusted my settings aside from adjusting the sample rate to get better fps. No new drivers have been installed.
