The concept of dungeons need some change, but from what they were and what they are now i see major improvement.
- Dungeons should help us with long term goals – Now they do, with karma and loot revamped (working in progress).
- Right now dungeons are every man for self when it comes to battles? Yes, and that need some change, like improvement in combos, wich right now are useless, imo. The aoe heal combo heals for 1k to 2k, thats low cause boss hits can remove 50% to 100% of your life. If that combo actually gave your group aegis (blocks one atack) that would be usefull, to nominate one change. The combos dont actually help in boss fights, or help little.
When it comes to graphics, nothing to change here, imo very good.
When it comes to emotion on battles, even if i hate subjet alpha from CoE, we must admit, what a intense kittening fight. And the drama is there, when you must, downed, kill tentacles with rocks for your life. I would like to see more of that, things to do while downed at boss fights, instead of just have to be left for dead by your friends and do nothing but wait for the red circle be on you (yeah, thats Arah).
The use of NPCs, wich actually should help you feel inside the quest, have ups and downs. Ups – NPCs like Magg from CoF and the thief from CoE. They are funny, have good jokes, open doors, gives you stuff to clean paths, thats awesome.
Downs, the arah npc could give more about orr history, maybe help with clues / do something at battle.
If they change that, well, i would give 8/10 to dungeons. The last 2 points would go for Lore in the game making you feel like you must run dungeons. Seriously, a email ?
Would you risk your life for that? I dunno, something in the world should change if people didnt ran that dungeon a x amount of times. Like, the black citadel would be on fire for a week if you didnt run CoF. Craft times would be double or half cause of the tecnology taken or not from CoE.

Ive never seen at GW1 a event where you needed real cash to fully enjoy it. Thats annoying.
While i do agree Robert still have many issues to fix, like the reward system meaning something to end game, i do think he did a major step in last patch, adding karma to dungeons.
Im not a big fan of hit kill bosses like subject alpha, not saying its hard right now, cause it isnt after you play that boss a lot, but still, i think its too harsh for people starting dungeons.
After 2 changes ( tokens system and karma add) of pure win, i actually can hope for good changes in the future. Think about it op.
Ok…the karma train farming is not needed anymore, so i must say, thats the right path.
Because of this change ill NEVER again loop events in my life. I dont care thats still the best way of farming karma, as long as i can earn it doing things i like, with a good rate, and right now thats running dungeons.
Remove RNG from this game and you wont hear any more rant from this player.

Maybe people are anticipating that Anet will change precursors’ drop rate or method of obtaining them so they’re selling them up while they can still overprice them.
And thats just fun. They will have all that exotics stuck.
They could reward us when we do something we liked in their games right?
So, in my opinion they should add 5 ways of getting the legendary:
- SPVP
-WvWvW
-PVE – Exploration
-PVE – Dungeon
-Crafting
So, the pve Dungeon way would be : get 3k tokens from every single dungeon and the dungeon master title.
Things like that would reward us without the ridiculous farma grind and rng thing. I dont care if it would take time, cause im actually having fun doing stuff, but i dont want to play orr anymore. Is that simple. I believe in all my mmo time, ive never seen anything more grindy than that. Its zumbie grind.

This game is just like SWTOR. No end game, so it must have huge grind factors, like korean RNG.
Why spend so much effort building a gigantic world where people have nothing to do but an alt after 2 months of game? Or, ofc, the insane grind for cosmetics. And why not mention the huge time spent waiting on WvWvW queue, so you can fight invisible people and lose castles to exploiters? Or the destroyed economy by people who found, in alpha, ways to make huge money, like the lvl 65 rares way.
Do you have anyone looking to this stuff A.net? Are you kitten there?
whatever is done in the future does not change the fact that i lost an inconceivable amount of gold, trying to play the game as intended.

Well, if any mod / developer can find fun while spending time looping over one of the worst looking maps so it will come to a time where him / her throw that effort in the garbage…well, im willing to pass this fun thing to them. Just go ahead, use your dev / mod client, invade my account and grind like crazy.

They try to hide the lack of end game content with a ultra grind system for cosmetics.
Not enough incentive and not enough fun process.
Im on that train as well. Spent about 50g on trys, and pretty much nothing so far. Using lvl 80 rare rifles.
And they said it wouldnt have grind or anoying tasks right? Nothing is more anoying than karma farming and money farming for empty trys.

Its so anoying that we have so many broken stuff on our class and even so they will look to nerf kitten undewater nades.

I was getting tired of complaining in this forum about the worst patch ive seen, of all times.
Now ballance the classes, without nerfs, and we will be just fine.
But seriously, what would make people on the same dungeon earn more or less rewards?
This bug just showed to us that they are nerfing people individually. In that case, it makes me wonder if the op isnt right.
OP isn’t right because there is no consistency to the reports of lower than expected badge gains. It’s very obvious that the code is kitten up at random.
Not 100% random. People who were farming are the ones with diminished returns.
It’s not a matter of execution. Completing the dungeon after 10 minutes or 30 doesn’t matter. What matter is: what did you do before the patch? You was a dungeon farmer, doing 50 times per day AC? So your dungeon counter is maxed, you will get less rewards than normal. Doesn’t matter if some of you did AC, CoF, Arah etc for the first time. The dungeon counter is shared. Example: before the patch the player did 50 runs of arah. Now, after patch, he go to AC. he will get 45/less. Why? Because of the huge amount of runs made on arah. The system is not bugged, it’s the player who don’t want to accept the farm is died and who was farming have to wait 1 month or more, and a dungeon armor is an elite meant to be completed after months.
I think thats the real system behind all that crap.
And its disgusting.

Yep, not working as they said. Just did Ascalon Catacombs, path 1, for the first time of my life and got 30 tokens. Did path 2 after that, and got 15 Tokens. This runs was 50 minutes after the 30 tokens one.

The maps with events only now wont drop a single item, the dungeons are insane hard to PUG (many paths) and you wont have any reward unless you fully end it, the queue time for wvw is ridiculous…need more?
They are really not that hard. Try harder.
I agree about the queue times, but for my server it’s fine.
Why would we try harder? For a cosmetic? Is that what we would need to die over and over again for?
At LOTRO i could see a dungeon for 12 man group where if you dont dodge the main atack from the boss you would be one shotted. And thats ok, cause the rewards were both cool looking and stronger than everything else.
GW2 concept of end game is, well, terrible.
Can’t you people be patient for 1 day while they fix this obvious bug?

Even the name of that system makes me sick: “Diminished Returns system.”
They should make that at A.Net payment:
“Oh, you worked hard this month, Here, take half payment, if you keep progressing you will make it a quarter next month! Keep going!”

This is just like GW1 was: A very good game with a very bad Company/Gamers relationship. And thats cause they wont listen to gamers.
If you dont have dungeons to do, cause they suck for pugs and the rewards are nerfed even when you do diferent paths, you cant go to wvwvw, cause of the queue times over one hour, and you cant make gold so you can buy anything, cause as soon as you find out any way of doing so, it will be nerfed to ground, you would have to make alts, and if im looking for alts at the first month, things are bad. Even SWTOR didnt make me want pve all again so fast.
Seems like doing what they did to Thiefs at GW1 , but global.

- Great attitude by saying the truth and giving us advices or hints or comments about your dungeon, and listening to our feedback + promising more observation to non expected monsters behavior.
I would be grateful if devs around would do the same, as i already am in this topic.
So, i was checking this video to understand what developers said about dungeons and what i should expect, cause right now they make no sense to me. Check this video :
And developers actually said tons about endgame…and now we can check how much of that was dust in the wind or not.
Check the dungeon part, at 14: 10 (my fav part) :
“We added a lot of low level dungeons, everybody can go play that and get rewards for it. Its worthwhile for everybody.”

Yep, i stopped running as well.
Wasnt running dungeons to play with friends (cause we pug) or to feel the sunshine on my skin, when actually i have to stay alert so i wont get one shotted. We do it for rewards, cause dungeons are not that fun.
Dragon events are fun and i dont even wanna know how much i earned from them. I will never have enough of Jormag. That said i still need some source of income, cause of the ridiculous amounts it takes to travel and repair, and i would like to have some new sets, thats when we go to dungeons.

The intended way is to kill all the mobs before the next wave spawns – Per Robert Hrouda.
Furthermore you are in pre-patch full CoF gear. You need to go buy some level 70-74 greens/blues and re-attempt the fight as if you were a new person running explorable.
Then post a video of you getting your faces smashed in by the ridiculous damage.
Because that is the issue right now.

If everything that normally would make you spend little to no money, like ports and repairs, actually makes you spend a lot , and if every source of money has been nerfed, isnt that to make you spend real money and do the trade?
If thats so, please, have some honour and put monthly payment on the game. The great mistery about how would a company have major costs monthly and only a one time income has just been cleared.
If you just think about the money you need to port from events and repair from dungeons / WvWvW and how every income source has been nerfed, wouldnt make sense the major apeal to make you spend real money?
Yesteday i ported to 2 dungeons doors, and after that we needed one more person to run the dungeon, so i went to Lionsarch to find that person and came back to de dungeon we would run: Ding! 15 silver.
