The ability itself is fine. What isnt fine is its ridiculous range. All the rangers just say omg just L2P you scrub. There is no counterplay to a ranger sitting on top a ledge where you cant reach him and doing 8k damage with 1 ability. Why are people even comparing unload or warrior rifle to rapid fire they are completely different when you have to be almost in someones face to channel them.

There is no counterplay. People say “oh just range them, or kill the turrets”. Its not that easy. The turrets are tankier than they are and do more damage than most zerker builds. No condi cleanse? Doesnt matter the engi runs celestial and heals for a ton while being tanky as hell. They ar eliterally anti fun builds.
The matchmaking in this game is complete kitten. Honestly there is something really wrong with this system. The fact that if you solo queu you’re most probably going to lose because you will most likely face premades. People shouldn’t be alllowed to join spvp with more than 2 in 1 party. Facing a full 5 man premade with 5 solo players is just wrong.
Yess turret engis. Its awesome to have this spec specially since matchmaking insthis game si complete kitten. Most of my ranked queus are my 5 solo team players vs 5 full premade. These premade always ALWAYS have atlaest 2 turrent engis. Not to mention the gmaes hwere is ee 4 or 5 turret engis in one game. this kitten is ridiculous. No skill most damage most tanky.
All the maps on this game are meant to favor range over melee. Every map is conquest and every map has a range platform above it. This highly favors rangers as not only do the auto attacks do incredible damage, but they can chain 10 second imobs, stealth, knockback, and have one of the strongest skills with rapid fire. If they are going to sit on top of a ledge all game the damage should be greatly reduced. Not to mention that now teleport skills cant reach some of the points were rangers stand.
Rapid fire should not hit through stealth. Its already the best channeled skill it should not complete its duration through enemy stealth. Nothing else needs to be said this should not happen.
A tournament has to specifically ban the use of more than 1 turret engi in 1 team. Hurry up and nerf this mindless build.

Yeah in a game based on capturing nodes. Do you even think before writing all this kitten down? How about we make a class that doesn’t let anyone approach the node with cc that will not let you stand up ever. Also, how about we leave all these mechanics there even when the character leaves the area and they do kitten tons of damage and are insane to kill. So, but the time you kill one of the turrets you’re half hp to just AI that can be replaced just as easily.
This is just my opinion on what would make them just as strong, but require a little more skill to play. Don’t reduce the damage or the utility on any turret, but reduce the hp/survivability. This will make engi think before they place them down every time they can. Also, things like the bumper turret are harder to kill than an enemy which doesn’t make much sense. This will also create more intelligent plays so as to people need to think before acting. Should I kill the turret, or go for the engi? The last thing I think would make this all much better is to only allow the turrets to be placed around the ensign current location. I see many people throwing the package and stuff near these long tall torches that occupy many spaces in pvp maps. The turrets land o top of them and the engi can just run away and leave the turret there doing tons of damage or, eliminative the turrets when the engi goes too far.
Sadly, this is the current state of warriors. Among all of the weapon’s F1, our sole class mechanics, only bow’s F1 is actually worth the adrenalin build-up. This is not just for Cleansing Ire, it is also for the long fire field.
Many of the other weapon’s F1 ability used to be decent, they are nerf again and again, due to the ability to try it again, since the adrenalin was not depleted if its not hit. Recently Anet decided to make warrior high risk high reward, hence they take away the ability to try-again, but they forget the “high reward” part for most weapons.
This is why warriors without LB are in a very sad state. I mean who would have thought that a seemly melee oriented class need to rely on a ranged weapon. Good job Anet.
I agree the burst skills are complete crap besides LB and Axe. With a decent defensive build you can still crib for over 7k with eviscerate and with a full glass cannon over 10k. It is a little hard to land, but thats why you pair it with shield or mace for the cc. Mace is actually pretty decent as well with a 3 second stun, but the damage isn’t that great.
Umm you’re only playing like that because you want to. Rampage is freaking beast and my favourite skill in the entire game. Seriously the damage is crazy with huge cc and can be immune to cc. I run axe/shield with GS for mobility or switch the shield for a mace for a bit more offence with the same cc. You can always run GS/Ham which is seen mostly in WVW, but can do amazing things in pvp. Check out Blacktruth009 on twitch he opts for less meta builds. BTW I have yet to see more than handful of people kill me 1v1 while using rampage.
It should be given the pistol whip effect in my opinion. 1/2 second stun on first hit would improve its utility soo much. Evades would be way too much as warriors already have many abilities to nullify attacks. It sucks when I get hit for like 7k with pistol whip which will almost always hit its full duration while my HB will hit for 3k at most before the opponent gets up or moves away. GS just seems like a waste of a weapon in pvp although it has its uses in wvw. In pvp its just used to get to point other than that its useless WA will most likely throw you off point and rush is still unreliable as a damage source.
Most people I see raging against rangers is because they usually stand on ledges and just shoot. Now this is just an opinion, but I believe the range is way too crazy specially since all maps have a spot for rangers to simply sit all game. Most jumps/ teleport skills won’t actually reach these places for example guardians judgement will not take you to that ledge.

For PvP, you either take Hammer or GS, not both as Scepter/Focus is a recommended secondary set in every DPS guard build.
Yeah its recommended and there are a bunch of GS sc/f builds out there, but I want to use GS/Ham as those are the weapons I enjoy and that is why im asking for help.
