I see there is a way to pick between stronghold and conquest. Can we please get another menu that can make it impossible for it to group me with a Thief? My last 5 matches i have had 1-2 Thiefs on my team and every game a loss. Thiefs are just… awful I would rather have 4 Ambers on my team rather than a Legend Thief. I’m just losing so many pips because of sub-par classes being grouped with me. I mean there are people openly reporting Thiefs for Botting trying to get them banned so people are not grouped with them anymore. It’s getting a bit insane when people take it this far in mass numbers.
And yes i understand i could group with a team. but My 5 Diamond ranked teammates are not all online every day or 24/7 so sometimes i litterally have to Solo Q
Fun Fact: In the Fractle Main Hub there is now an Agony Checker, once you touch the orb you take agony damage related to the level your on. now you can check agony without pinging armor and find lairs trying to leech from you. I found a lot of people still dont know about this so here ya go.
I mean among the ele community (or at least most) they were considered some of the worst signets in the game, and then they nerfed them even more this update and then buffed cantrips to an even higher level. does anet just want us all to play cantrip ele and forget that ele signets exist? The only thing that made signets even viable were when they were able to be traited to give Fire Aura.
Examples
Signets have 1 Trait that effects them now. Im being literal, they have 1 out of 45 possable selectable traits that do anything to change their behavior and its Written in stone. Which allow their (generally horrable passives) to persist after cast and reduced cooldown time.
Cantrips have 3 Traits that Effect them allowing them to grant 3 Boons each (not including their own) remove conditions when you feel is right, and auto cast under the right conditions (allowing more uses than possable under very often conditions) and reduced cool down time. And there are now 6 cantrips
Oddly enough people are even abusing this system. 10 or so people Q at the same time. and one person is designated as the “winner character” if ANY of them end up on the enemy team of the “Winner Character” they leave the match and wait for it to be over. and because there is no penalty for it at the moment they can req right after every match. so ya your almost 100% going to be in a 4v5 now. have a fun time!
The Devs say its not a High Priority to be able to report specific Code of Conduct Violations in PvP. Thats a bit odd in my opinion given that stronghold is coming soon.
Here have a new pvp type that people may completely abuse and there is nothing you can do about it :P
Ether way I do hope a Dev responds to this in one way or another. It would be extremely reassuring to know they do know these issues are at hand, or if they are in fact in future updates planning on adding new report options. Its been quite a while from the last update to it.
Sadly though we cant expect everyone to know that. And on top of that it could easily result in a false report do to the fact that there are in fact Bots in pvp, so the report could easily be mistaken as just a Bot report. When they watch the player and its not a bot they could just shrug it off and move to the next report.
I want there to be no confusion or miscommunication when it comes to in game reports. Makes things a lot easier for everyone involved.
I just want to ensure that innocent newbies who stumble into Unranked/Ranked (because that happens ALL the time) aren’t unfairly banned or harassed over this.
New Players finding their way into Unranked and Ranked could cause a bit of a fuss. But when it comes to reporting it would be easy for a Dev or a Mod to look at a players match history to determine if its a False Report or not. Did the Player get exactly 10 points? did they die 30+ times? Where these suicides (which you actually can get in any map) or player kills?
That’s why I’ve always advocated against removing or clamping down on Hotjoin, because that would just force the Feeders/Leechers into Unranked/Ranked.
In this Thread I am not advocating or suggesting things be done to hotjoin. I’m in fact asking for this report feature because people are mainly doing this in Ranked and Unranked which hurts a players overall leaderboard ranking. So in the end we are not funneling them into Ranked or Unranked because we are reporting them in Ranked and Unranked which would deter them from doing it again in those settings.
It seems as though a loss in Unranked/Ranked actually gives you LESS progress than a full-time win in Hotjoin. So really, all those people screwing around in Unranked/Ranked shouldn’t be there; you’d be better off doing all that in Hotjoin instead
I agree that these people should be trying to win in hotjoin as it is a better way to get Rank Points than losing Ranked and Unranked. But Feeding is not all about efficiency. sometimes its do to laziness. Perhaps they could easily win in Hotjoin but the are just way to lazy to do so. So in this case they just join Unranked and die over and over while watching TV or playing another game in another window.
Laokoko- if you lose fast enough then yes. They could even turn on auto run so they die over and over while they go and watch tv. All they need to do is give it an input every minute or so.
Zaxares- I do understand that it could be harder in the future to discover this behavior, but we could say the same about bots. They are becoming more human like all the time, some can even respond to you making it sometimes difficult to detect . Yet we still have an option to report for botting.

3rd post in 2 weeks on same subject. Is there a rule for spamming? How do you know they have less than 1k AP? You can’t see that unless you are both friends of each other.
Even though it seems you have played this game for 2 years your general information on the game seems pretty poor. If I add someone to my Friends List or Block List I can see their AP and they don’t even have to add me to theirs. After adding you to my friends list I see you have around 5K AP

I’m generally realllly unlucky. :P But as more Newer Players join the game the more prevalent this is becoming. Most of them have less than 1K achievement points.
There are Players currently in Ranked and Unranked Pvp that the second they score a point they run to the enemy base and die as many times as possible, or jump off a cliff and die until they have given the enemy team enough points to win leaving their own team to fight a 4v5 with him feeding the enemies. They even state that they are trying to farm rank points and rewards and this is a fast way for them to do it. This directly Breaks The Rules of Conduct of GW2
We need a system or option to report players for Feeding as to quickly stop this from happening in the near future given we have no option at all to report or stop this.

Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.
A long time going issue are PvP Runners. If you don’t know a “PvP Runner” is an individual that avoids the Dishonorable Debuff for AFKing by running around the map or dancing around inside of the Home Base. This usually occurs the second they are “Done” with the match or feel like the match is a lost cause within the first 30 seconds of the match. This results in a 4v5 and almost no chance of a comeback. Given Dishonorable cannot accurately detect this I feel we need an option in the report menu to report actions like this so these players can start avoiding this kind of negative behavior such as this in order to further clean and help the legitimate pvp players experience and to cut down on unfair matches.

I would like at least someone from Anet to give some imput what you may be doing about this in the future because at the current time Upvp and Tpvp are almost completely unplayable..
To make a very long story short No matter what you do in pvp be it threats or racist remarks, and even remarks towards anothers sexuality you will never ever, ever be punished. which has allowed the pvp community to flourish with these negative players.
I have a friend going on day 85 of only saying racist remarks and cursing constantly in EVERY match he is in because he wants to see how fast his old account gets banned because he only wants to play ESO now. so far it has not even been suspended. and yes, EVEN I HAVE REPORTED HIM. yet he is still online.
On day 100 (if he makes it) we are having a contest for 500 Gold. (thats all thats left on his account) I’ll update this thread with more information about the contest on day 100
No matter how unlikely we feel they are to change anything even the devs and mods cannot deny that their rules are being broken and are in need of some form of fixing or update.
Tao I only mention i was kicked when it is relevant. I have no problem being banned from private arenas, but i do have a problem with people doing it because they want to break code of conduct. BUT Given most people on the forums seem to only understand the direct approach it seems im going to have to use a strategy I hoped not to. So here is the absolute most direct answer all phrase i can give you.
They are Breaking Code of Conduct Rule 22 Which is a bannable offense. You and I repeat are not allowed to break the rules of this game as stated in the code of conduct. If you do break those rules there should be ways to report via the In game report system. If you are responding to this post in any way respond to this bolded message.
Please also take note That I again state that I do not care in any way that two people that i don’t know and still don’t know banned me from a “Private Arena” that i entered to see if people are exploiting. I do care that they were in fact Exploiting and i want a way to report it via the in game report system. The reason your strategy to “send an email to support” will not potentially work is because i was not in long enough to write down ether of their names. But if i did have the ability to right click and report it would have been a fast process and an completed report. Please read this Carefully.
I would much rather have a problem solved than ignore it I mean ya its a pretty fast method and then you don’t feel you have to worry about it but in the end this is about the fact that it states specifically in the rules they cant do things like this . :P

If someone is exploiting and they kick me and 16 other people from their arena within seconds of joining its pretty suspicious. also i dont understand the part where you say to make my own arena. Are you suggesting that because i got kicked from an exploiters arena that I make one and that i also exploit because thats the right action to do in this situation?
I haven’t come across this so far, but I agree players who behave like that should be reported. The problem is that you need to be sure/able to prove that someone does this on purpose and is not just a bad player .
Do not worry Elia, once an individual is reported for a specific incident a dev/mod will shadow them to see if they can catch them in the act. If caught in the act the player is then punished for breaking the rules.
Technically, it IS match manipulation, but I don’t think it’s as big an issue as you’re making it out to be.
Firstly, Hotjoin rewards are capped at 2 tiers a day. So no matter how efficient their custom arena farming is, it won’t be as fast as somebody who grinds out Unranked/Ranked all day. I think (not 100% certain) that you can still gain rank points even after the 2-tier cap, but any veteran PvP’er knows that rank is merely a measure of how much PvP you’ve played, not an indicator of actual skill. The world’s WORST player, who does nothing but spam autoattack and has a record of 0 wins and infinity losses, will eventually get to Dragon rank if they keep at it long enough.
Secondly, the players paid for their own custom arena, so they’re entitled to do whatever they want in it (as long as it doesn’t involve outright hacks or exploits). Technically, players running duel servers, guild training servers etc. are all also in breach of not “playing PvP the way it was intended”, but you’d see a massive outcry if ANet cracked down on these.
Well on that note Dueling Servers/Arenas have no winners or losers and they do not receive rewards nor rank points. Therefore are not manipulating the outcome of matches to their advantage or to gain an unfair advantage of some kind and is in accordance to the Code of Conduct.
I am responding to everything people are asking and telling me. That is not spamming. But at this point I can tell your trying to troll me because the signature move is to tell me im breaking my own rule and then threatening me.
Pdavis by your logic we should not report racists groups or people that tell others to kill themselves because we can just block them and not have to deal with them, because we can block whispers instead of report. they effect other people not just us.
As you can see i can apply your logic to other situations and you suddenly don’t make sense to a point of even being negative or toxic. This is the kind of thing I oppose and as a member of a community where we need to look out for one another you should to.
If a player is legitimately harassing you or stalking you via wispers you report them and they get banned. Thats a solution.
If they are just annoying or in an argument with you they are not breaking any rules and just being annoying, you block them. Thats a solution.
Spamming is a legitimate Offense to the Code of Conduct and requires a Report and not just a block according to the code of conduct. that is a solution

Your issue is on your team and completely reportable.
You dont really seem to understand here. If i use /laugh in wvw. even though im on TC, any other WvW opponent can see my Invader Laughs emote. Yes, they can in fact see enemy emotes but they cannot see enemy chats. Same as i can see their emotes but not their chats. which i could then spam 300 times to clear their chat and disrupt communication. and they would not be able to report me if they cant see me.
Elia/Random Guy- Its still considered match manipulation because you can gain from it. if you can gain in any way shape or form and you can fix it to where you get the max rewards every time its considered manipulation which breaks rule 22.
Pdavis- if you cant see the player in WvW doing it and they are on the enemy team you just see “Invader sits” over and over and you Cannot click on it to report them in any way shape or form and because you cant find them you cannot click on them in any way shape or form to report them or even just block them. Also informing players how to Ignore them problem and sweep it under the rug is still just ignoring it and not solving it. there will always be a player harassed by this and im here to make sure it stops and is not just ignored to continue on.
And as you say, Your ok with that. Your ok with the ignorant being abused and harassed. I find that heartless. The exact opposite of what i want to be. That is why i want to fix this rather than ignore it and let it be a problem for the ignorant to be forced to deal with.
I don’t care how much attention i give to the trolls. They will be banned in the end if I’m persistent enough for their Blatant Disregard for the Code of Conduct. And to me that is a big help to the community by removing the trolls and/or Rule Breakers. and no what your stating is not a solution its just sweeping the problem under the rug so that they can just do it to another less informed player. Jim I understand your way of dealing with problems is ignoring them untill they go away. But this one will not go away because they one doing it will still be there and able to do it to others.

I am angry that they are free to break the Code of Conduct without any form of punishment by exploiting their arenas. And even if their arena is taken down they can just move onto another one without punishment.
One Prarie- as i said we could just “ignore it” with your 5 step program. But they are doing it for the soul purpose of trying to harm and annoy others, making a 5 step program sounds like they are completely annihilating you. What they are doing is against code of conduct. And we need to find a way to change this if in any way possible. ether by gaining the ability to block individual emotes by right clicking on them or to even go as far as to report these individuals. And you can be sure i will keep this post on the front page for months if i have to. I will make sure for everyone that this issue gets addressed Properly no matter what the cost is to me.
On this note I believe I have found a really dark side of the GW2 forums. It seems like almost every single player here, would much rather sweep the problem under the rug and ignore it rather than fix it. Even to the point of defending the ones breaking the rules. Yes i completely understand that ignoring a problem is both easy and fast, but your coming up with multi step plans just to do so. Its like the people breaking the Code of Conduct have set your feet on fire and instead of putting out the fire or taking the fire away from them you start dancing and hopping around. of course this takes some of the burn away, but they are still laughing at you and look at you as a trophy, you are the one they made dance and did nothing to stop them. Then they move onto the next Player, who may not know what you know and then are harassed relentlessly. All your doing is moving the problem into someone else’s lap and you are literally telling me you could not care less because its not your problem after you started ignoring it instead of fixing it. This is the opposite of what our community should be.

I don’t Just want to Follow a multi-step program on how to ignore it and allow these individuals continue on when they are legitimately breaking a written rule. First, your math is way off. Unranked would be faster. Secondly, it doesn’t matter. They OWN the arena, paid for it, and can do whatever they want with it. Those rules are in place for ranked/ unranked arenas. Not sure why they don’t just put a password on the arena and then they don’t have to worry about people coming in they don’t want.
If they locked their arena they would no longer gain rank points which defeats the purpose of what they are doing. also ANET OWNS the arena. Also Rule 22 states ANY Matchmaking by which applies to custom arenas in which you can gain rank points.
Siva- I right click and report them for what? Botting? Verbal abuse? How about Selling Gold? As you can see Siva we Can’t just right click and report them because we don’t have an option to report them for what they are doing.

Elia- to make a Long story short it took me Months to get dragon rank. This also goes for a very large amount of other people. But now groups of people are achieving it in weeks and getting rewards in their reward tracks (which are limited to a point) which makes this extremely unfair to players actually playing matches and working for what they want.
Kodesh- Its not that these players are bored. Its that they want the rank points/achievements/rewards without doing any of the work. also on that note 16 Players in my Bot Hunters Group were all kicked in 3-5 seconds of joining the arena at different times of the day. People are being kicked so that it can be a forced 1v1
I’m not arguing which is a better method. I’m arguing that its match manipulation which violates Rule 22 in the Code of Conduct. This also often is a strategy used for accounts that will be sold with unreasonably high pvp ranks gained at an almost unnatural speed. Botters also seem to populate these kinds of arenas.

This is why we need a report option for this to report individual players doing this.
-Random Guy if you lose 6 unranked arenas in a row 10 minutes per match then you get 3k Rank Points in one hour.
-If you win 20 practice matches in a custom arena with rank point earning while kicking other players so its a forced 1v1, 3 minutes per match for an hour you earn 10k rank points.
-10K is over three times more than 3K in the same amount of time.
- So in short yes Elia it seems at first a bad way at doing things but its actually an unreasonably fast way to gain rank points to the point of being an exploit.
Well in all honesty sometimes the commander gets suppressed by the system if they are the only one talking in any category, then people will need them to emote /me “bla bla bla” to understand their commands. and Siobhan with all the new players coming in we cant expect them to instantly know all the controls and options the chat has to offer in turning off emotes.
Ok another way to explain it, they can make the match last however long they want, they can wait until the moment in which a threshold is met and one of the individual can get the full 500 for winning every time.

Sorry but no matter what you say on the point of players have TS or not there are still players with no clue. So it kinda still is an end point argument given i could log in and find a player that has no clue of ether.
But you do agree that the players that are doing this are in fact trying to harass and disrupt gameplay of other player Which is also why we need to be able to report this?

You Can’t Expect Everyone To Know. That is the ultimate endgame argument here. You in no way shape or form can expect everyone to know. And even if everyone knew these players are spamming emotes to try to harass and hurt other players. which breaks the Code of Conduct despite whether they accomplish doing this or not. So in the end we need a way to report it.
Sorry but even then you still cant expect every single person ever to have it the world is not as perfect as the situation your describing. We need the ability to report players for spamming via right-clicking their emote text.
And on another note your pretty heavily trying to fight for the right of players to spam for both reasons of harassment and trying to put the enemies at a disadvantage. Long story short yes I AGREE WITH YOU that EVERY player should have TS. but they dont. and we cant MAKE them use it.
