Also wal-mart carries them, same with gamestop
The Gamestop near me does not carry them, I think it might vary based on the area.
Best Buy always carries them. Or you can order them off Amazon.
Is this frowned upon or not allowed in any way? I was wondering if, as long as one didn’t sell accounts, that selling virtual goods is okay. If it is, is there anyway to check the reputation of the seller, anything like Source OP? I used to trade quite a bit in Team Fortress 2, and had made some fairly decent profits from selling pixels. Any help would appreciated. Thanks for answering!
As of now its more of a 1 in 500 type of event.. I was getting a precursor pretty reliably 1 in 350-400 prior to the patch.
As for getting 2000 rares a week… there is this thing in the game called crafting where you can make your own rares to sacrifice to the forge.
PELE DEMANDS SACRIFICE!
On a serious note, how often, if ever, do you blend exotics in the forge.
I was wondering this earlier, when I got my leatherworking to around 395. I noticed that the bags I can make barely go for anything more than it costs to make; more often than not I would even lose money if I sold them. So what is the best way to earn money, or at least break even, with a profession?
Seriously. They are useless for the most part in PvP/WvW, the cool downs are much too long, and the time you spend in that form is much too short.
I am trying to start towards a Legendary (woo.) and I was reading that you have to complete the world map to even have a chance to craft a legendary weapon. So I was wondering; are there any people out there who are on the same mission as I, or anyone that would be willing to help my friend and I get 100%? A rather bold question I know, but any help would be appreciated! If anyone who has 100% the world has some tips on the tricky areas, that would be great! Thanks all!
Thank you for your suggestion. This is something we are looking into.
Oooh, how about a guild name change as well? Of course, it would require a vote of all guild members or something like that.
Btw, I take back that about not beeing able to change the look of your character. Looks like there are some new stuff in the store to change most attributes of your characters (thank you Anet (^^,) .
Well, people name their guild with all sort of bases, but it could be a good idea to find out about whether or not this is a name that everyone is ok with sooner than later.
Just for curiosity, which anime is it associated with?
Samurai Champloo. Not necessarily a anime with a bad reputation, but I prefer not to be lumped into the internet subcultures.
What GPU are you sporting?
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
I’ve only ever seen them at Gamestop, and even then only at one of the three that are reasonably close to me.
Likewise, most shops I need are in walking distance of where I live but the only gamestop is in the mall that’s like 30 minutes away. And the employees , or rather the policies they have to follow, bother me so I never shop there anyway.
But that’s the only place huh? Rats.
I was just wondering why I haven’t been able to find any gem cards for this game. I googled them and some popped up on newegg, but I absolutely do not purchase things online with a credit card unless it is an emergency. Is there any place known to carry them, or must I purchase gems in game?
I have it on PC, a desktop, but I would like to get the game on my Mac Book when I can’t use the desktop. Can someone tell me whether or not the game will even run on this thing? Here are the stats (I’m horrible with computers):
Model Name: MacBook
Model Identifier: MacBook5,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Oh, okay. I’ve never heard that term for them before.

What are “mats”?
I didn’t spend any real money on the game… I prefer to spend it on food haha. 100 I’m terms of reward or lvling speed?
Both, of course.
Cool, so if I max out my credit card I should be able to buy enough gems to buy enough gold to buy enough crafting materials to get enough exp to level up enough times to get to my previous level.
On a serious note, which areas did you 100% fastest?
I lvled a second guardian for pure aesthetic reasons and I was able to get to 80 in 30 hours. I lvled to 45 with hearts/zone completion, maxed out 3 jobs in 2 hours and completed the 60-80 zones for exotics.
maxing each craft = 10 lvls, so I was 75 when I hit mount maelstrom
How much gold did you spend on your first character to level your second one so efficiently?
If you haven’t crafted yet, crafting two professions to 400 will get you 20 levels.
You can grind dungeons. Each dungeon run gives you like 70% of your exp bar. Especially the easier ones, like AC, can be done in like ~30 mins per run for loads of exp.
I’ve also noticed personal story gives you pretty hefty chunks too.
I’ve been crafting on my Ranger, as well as done a few dungeon runs. I probably should have specified what I want: A way to get a new character off the ground as fast as possible (for the creation of a new guild, specifically).
I was just wondering if anyone could give me a few quick tips on how to level up quickly. I have only one character, a level 61 Ranger, but I am beginning to tire of him. I would like to make either a Thief or Guardian, but I dread the time it will take to get back to my old level. Can anyone post a good guide or some of their own tips to help me out? Any feedback is appreciated!
Edit: Oh crap, I meant to put this in Players helping players. Could a site mod please move this thread there, if this is an inappropriate place for it?

Well, I didn’t create the guild, my friend did. He named it without my consent, and I just found out it was named after some anime which I do not care to be associated with. I have a feeling the few (20) members we recruited would feel the same way if they found out, and they would leave anyway.
Is it possible to change a guild name once it has been created? I have not seen any options to do so, but it does not hurt to ask.
Bummer, that’s sad to hear. I was hoping for a class with the hard-hitting equivalent of a mid-game Drow, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Thanks for the heads up, but I think I’ll make the best of the class now, since I’m pretty far along with it.
Hey all, I got this game about a month and a half ago and have been enjoying it quite a bit since then. I chose Ranger as my class, since I wanted to have a hard hitting ranged class, which I assumed that profession was. Well, I’m now level 61 and even with super glass cannon builds, I’m still not hitting like I want to. Am I doing something wrong, or is the class more for pestering enemies than doing damage?
