I’m looking for an active semi-hardcore/advanced/non-beginners raiding guild with no representing required. I’m sick and tired of waiting and scrolling through the flawed LFG system when people from my own guild are unable to go raids with me, (or I’m tired carrying them and giving tutorials).

I’m 5000h player with 8 chars. Tempest and DH full metaready for raids. Rev and PS in the making. I have decent knowledge of game mechanics and bosses.

My name is Lummi and I’m looking for a friendly and social Desolation guild. before I get into details I’d like to say, I require that the guild is fully representing itself, has 150+ members (but a bigger 500ish community would be even better), at least 40+ representing members online daily and having an active TS channel and some kind of website like Facebook.

I’ve been playing GW2 since the release day and after half a year break now I’d like to come back. Since my own guild scattered due to my absence and my real life girlfriend, (who was also the second guildmaster left the game) I am desperately looking for a new community now.
The most important thing to me is that the guild members are loyal to its own guild, which means that the majority is always representing it and doing stuff together for everyone’s enjoyment and satisfaction. Seeing half of members currently online, but not representing is the main reason I will abandon such guild and never come back.

I can offer a full commitment and support, not only to new players but also with organizing guild missions, events, pvp teams, wvw zergs, and so on. Of course I may not have enough time to be online 24/7 since I’m working as another game’s developer and studying at med school on weekends. I’d say an average number of my playtime would be around 3h a day.

I have 13k AP, 4 characters fully ascended, 4000 hours of gameplay, decent commanding experience, PvP Tournament of Legends participation, dungeons and fractals expertise and I’m greatly involved in GW lore.

Beside GW2 I’m also a total freak of Mass Effect series and Battlefield 4 active player.

4500 hours of playtime

Amount of legendaries: 2 (crafted, not bought)

Amount of precursors: I got my first at 4200ish hours of playtime in SE p3 from the chest after the first boss (that digging dredge) and it was Dusk.

Most expensive item I’ve ever looted was…hm… Tequatl mini sold for 40g and the Magmaton hammer for 12g -_-

Wanna go for buying The Eternity now since doing the World Completion for the second time seems like a torture to me.

This thread is purely informative.

From various in-game and outside-game environments I know about the fact that a lot of accounts have been hacked recently and exploited to spam gold-selling messages to the players.
Usually the account names selling gold were named meaningless like “Dsfhoiaaaa” for obvious reasons. In the past few days we have noticed that the names started to sound as if they were regular accounts with normal names, which is getting us worried about our own accounts. It is almost obvious that these accounts have been exploited to sell gold and eventually they are all getting mass reported by players, which ends up with a ban procedure.
In the past 2-3 weeks my guild members were reporting disturbing spammers messages. It even happens that we get 14 whispers in 9 minutes but mostly it’s an average of 10 whispers per day.

For the sake of our enjoyment with this wonderful game I hearby urge ArenaNet and the rest of community to take appropriate steps to hinder those who are responsible for this act of delinquency.

Please share your observations and concerns. Once this thread is acknowledged by the developers I would like to have it closed for the sake of my own account.

Just failed again. Guesting ppl hunting achievments on the main Deso server. Switching wurms, leaving kegs. I’m gonna blow my head off.

Okay so Desolation has done it 2 times as far as I know (i’m desolatian myself) but after 48 hours of unsuccsessful trying, we too, start to get nuts.
Seriously even if our TS cooperation meets a total perfectionism and every wurm has over 40 full-exo/asc Players smacking it, we are usually loosing at decapitating one last head at it’s 1-2% of HP.

ANet, no way, this event need at least 10 seconds more time for decapitation. Think of other servers too! :/

Here is something for you :P

I like some parts of this fractal because they are challenging. But as Dogger said – some of its parts are illogically and unnecessarily exaggerated like for example the dredge carrier at level 40+, or the console room.

Where are level designers? Creating new content that will be bombed down by Scarlet every two weeks anyway?

I really DO like Scarlet Briar and the lore behind her as well as her possible connection to Elder Dragons. (Her dream, etc.)

However I DO NOT like how she is introduced to us in the game and how is she written, thus – I DO NOT want to see her in this game anymore UNLESS the story around her will get more mature, mysterious and fantasy-like.

Probably in the upcoming Wintersday content, we will all be getting spammed by Scarlet’s windersday presents, I mean the exploding ones, we all open it, and we all die…
…And the game will die because all players will be perma dead.

Then we will get prisoned inside the Thaumanova reactor and our life energy will be used by Scarlet to ressurect Zhaitan and his new risen-inquest Alliance…

I’ve already saw a lot of people demanding it but I’d like to do it more or less official and post it on the forum.

Anet sweetheart please create some kind of windows chat application that would work without having GW2 running or even installed.

It would be enormously useful to a lot of players, especially guildmasters or other member who are helping to run guilds.

I started to work right now, but I have an access to a PC all the time there. I could use some application to communicate with my guild as a guildmaster while I’m at work.

Just wanted to say, yesterday I was in a party with my guildmates and one of them looted The Legend from a regular dredge in the Dredge Fractal level 30 right before you have to destroy the sealed door with the three guns.

I’ve been playing this game for about 3000 hours and never seen anyone getting a precursor from a mob. Thought I might let the community know that the dredge are the Keeperz of Tyriaz Legendz!!! ;O

Some extra info here:

I bought a pretty tough machine recently and I ran GW2 at 99fps, super smoothly (in LA as well) on my 1366×768 resolution screen. I even tested Battlefield 4 on ultra and I had around 180 fps.

A couple of days ago I got my 27 inch HD 1920×1080 screen and my Guild Wars 2 went kitten itself – my fps are now like 45 and 20 in LA/FoTM/WvW/PvP.
The strange part is, as soon as I set the sampling on native (not supersample) I get my 99 fps back ;o

Awkwardly BF4 is still around 140 fps on 1080p….

My spec is:
- i5 3350p
- 8GB ram 1866
- GTX 660 OC
- GW2 and OS is on an SSD
- Z77 series motherboard
- 12 MB/s internet bandwith

Is anyone else here FINALLY excited to have a serious content update? Think about it…

• Flame and Frost: Russian mole people, can’t take that seriously even if the plot was supposed to be serious
• Lost Shores: kind of serious, but you’re fighting a bunch of crabs for tourist privileges
• SAB: Nope
• Dragon Bash: Nope
• Cutthroat Politics: Nope
• Bazaar: Nope
• Queens Speech: Somewhat serious, but having Briar as the villain and cut scenes like where Faren tries to save the queen made it goofy again.
• Twilight: Can’t really take Scarlet Briar seriously…she’s the comedy relief as well as the main bad guy so meh.

But FINALLY after seeing the new video it seems like we’re finally having a serious content update. The content they’ve been adding has been great, but all the cheese they pack into it is getting absolutely ridiculous… For once I’d like to feel like I’m actually in an RPG and not a cartoon. Here’s hoping that they keep the mood dark through this one.

Don’t be a dreamer like I’ve been in past 13 months. This will be just another content-less, childish, kitten cartoon torture update.

Near Life Experience is the name. 270 members, TS, www, facebook, fractals up to 42, all dungeon runs, intense PvP (stable team), a lot of WvW (me commanding), swagging in LA as well, all guild missions but puzzles, weekly guild events, Orr runs….basically everything ^^. I hate to say this because it might come across as condescending, and that’s not my intention, but if the pursuit/possession of a cosmetic item is the only thing keeping you playing then you would probably be better off looking for a game you find more fulfilling.

^Well said and it’s true. My aim is the pursuit of cosmetic items indeed, but we all have to admit that this is the only kind of pursuit there is now in GW2 for experienced players. If there was another content as well done as skin wars I would probably care less about legendaries and stuff like this.

Let’s face it: FoTM are fun but you won’t keep playing it. Someone forgot to make it more rewarding at 40+ levels genius! which are actually not that easy.
PvE content and Storyline are a joke. Sometimes I feel like playing some game for 10 year olds. Other Dungeons are desolated because of the CoF p1 hype. Story is cheap. Living story was a slap in the face. The only things I enjoyed this far was The Halloween event, CoE and HoTW since they were challenging and the books from GW2 world, (Ghost of Ascalon ftw).
PvP is the only content which I’m fully satisfied with. Intense, more or less balanced and mature ;D
WvW is ok, but we had to wait for 7 months to get rid of culling and other problems. It’s very ‘monotone fun’ though.

Now tell me, what must I do to get rid of my cosmetics pursuit and focus on another game aspects? Oh, I could go watch some trees and sunsets – graphics as for an MMO are outstanding here. I could also spend time in build editor since character development and combat mechanics are undoubtedly the strongest spot of GW2, but I don’t need to open the game in order to do it.

Silver Doubloons just went up to 94s.
I’m leaving the game soonish. This is unacceptable.

My wife is farming 100 of those for the Dwayna Longbow. And she got 87 charged lodestones during last 30 days. I played like 30 times CoE, she played 30 times CoE, we farmed sparks a bit, asked our guildmates to donate some lodies…

It’s really not that hard to get them, still they ARE farmable at CoE or Sparx or FoTM.

And look – 100 Charged lodestones cost almost the same amount of gold as 250 Doubloons and only charged are farmable. Think about it.

Anyway, there are more and more ppl out there leaving the game because of that enormous grindfests. We are getting nuked with hundreds of skins/cosmetics/adds instead of challenging content and adult lore. The living story was a total joke and slap in the face…. Do something with that game or there will be: TP skyrocketing = leaving members skyrocketing.

Park a character in the appropriate level range (about 19-29 IIRC) at a jump puzzle chest and log in and open that chest every day. Silver doubloons will trickle in. Multiply this by as many characters as you care to or spend some time going from chest to chest.

Wait, so what? Do I have to park with a 19-29 character at a 19-29 area’s chest? Or is the character level irrelevant? I just tried picking the chest with a 65 lvl char in Snowden Drifts JP and i got sapphire crystal or something. I’m lost

Well, for all those crafting The Juggernaut – bad news.
Silver Doubloons skyrocket up to 80s30c from 47s00c in the last 5 days.

Srsly, I’ve got 1 legendary already so I will be probably totally dissed and negated now for making complains. But still, I’m almost a 2000h player and I demand something, (apart from a Precursor which I have never ever seen).

So I need 200g for the doubloons (which are unfarmable – those who tried will share my point of view) only, 600g for The Colossus (let’s be honest, pros ain’t gamblers ;D), 600g for T6 mats, (Dusts skyrocketing is awful), 90g for the lodestones, (mostly molten cores which need dusts again and SPs), 100 for Icy Runestones, 50g for ectos and RNG-amount of materials for Mystic Clovers. I also have to farm 250 full peanut snickers, 250 vials of liquid stool, 250 tufts of moist wookie’s fur and 250 electrical cow fences. Don’t you think it’s a bit exaggerated?

You say now: go for another legendary. And my point is – NO; I want this particular one as 2000h player, a guildmaster and a guy who has worked his butt off contribution-wise, into this game’s community (together with my own wife ;D).

Please, drop down Doubloons back to 20s max and Dusts back to 15s and I will be happy zomfg.

Do something; this game should be renamed to Skin Wars 2. I might just quit it and so the whole guild will follow me lol.

Remember when you had a life? All that eating, showering and social life? With Near Life Experience all those nightmares can come to an end!

We are a “mature” guild consisting of dedicated people. Dedicated to the community we’re building since launch, dedicated to the game and all the challenges that (no)life sets in our way. We were almost 500 members, (now 130) guild once but we got abandoned by a forever-offline leader, thus we decided to create a fresh new, better guild. We’ve been through a lot and that means we know how to take good care of the guild and how to improve the gaming experience. At the moment our guild consists of only active players, the core of the guild. We have at least 50% members online most of the time so there’s always someone to play with.

We’re mostly PvE oriented – dungeons/fractals farming, events, jumping puzzles, world completing, discovering all the mysteries of Tyria. We also upgrading economy at the moment to unlock the Trek missions.

We’re organizing Guild Events pretty often like 1v1 Tournaments, Jumping Puzzle Race, etc. and the winner gets 5g and a special Guild Status

We do WvW as well and we have a Commander, but since we are a smaller guild, (for now) we rather make small, 15+ diversion squads or join up with the main zerg. We also do EB jumping puzzle every day. For the Treasure or just for zerging.

Many people amongst us are also the lore passionates – always cool to discuss on matters concerning the world we play in.

As for the rules we only want our members to represent the guild all the time. (If you want to join but have multiple guilds, you’re also welcome to come and discuss on it – who knows, we might make an exception for you.) We allow swearing in the guild chat and discussing on every topic possible – we’re adults and we don’t want a fake atmosphere on the guild chat. Here you can feel free to speak your mind out loud and nobody’s going to judge you. Of course we don’t allow offending other members but that’s kinda obvious.

The dungeon recipies are souldbound on use. Means that it’s good to let your lvl 400 jeweler character read it. But somehow it’s unsellable on TP.

I have looted The Replicator recipe from the final boss Tazza in SE, p1 twice already. So I used one recipe and the second stays in bank – maybe someday Anet will allow us to sell the recipes. I also looted The Colossus Fang from the Colossus Rumblus final boss in AC p3.

It remains unclear if MF actually affects the bosses’ recipe drop chance or not, so we can only speculate. But still, it’s very rare, although I must admit – I had luck back in SE.

Imagine how hard it must be to obtain The Bloodstone Fragment recipe! Not even the drop chance itself, but repeating the horrible Arah p4 over and over again! Well, at least it’s price on TP is like 60g+

No matter how fast we were (DPS-wise) and how fast we deal with sparks (7-8 seconds for sparks) Dwayna wouldn’t drop below 50% of HP.

It’s not a bug, it just means that you’re not running the sparks quickly enough. You have to put the sparks in before she hits around 60% HP (maybe less), otherwise you’ll be stuck in an endless loop of having her always hiding at 50%. Well, now I know that the whole key is to get her to phase 2 and it only happens if she doesn’t get above 60% while regenerating. We were so close then today. We managed to get her to 63-65%, but it seems it takes even more then that.
7h of my life lost unproductively

Hello everyone.

I just wanted to say that me and my party had just a 7h arah run (5h for Dwayna herself). I also would like to mention that not me nor any of us is a newbie, we are experienced, adult players.
Anyway, have anyone experienced the bug Dwayna not falling down below 50% of HP bar? Because we just have and to be honest, we noticed that it was actually a bug after 5h trying. No matter how fast we were (DPS-wise) and how fast we deal with sparks (7-8 seconds for sparks) Dwayna wouldn’t drop below 50% of HP.
Practically it looked like:
- DPSing her till 50% till sparks appear
- Dealing with sparks in 7-8 seconds, in that time Dwayna regenerates about 25% of HP
- DPSing her down again till she reaches – and here occures the problem – 50% again and sparks appear again.
The thing is no matter how much she regenerates (it could be even 10 hp) she summons sparks at her’s 50% hp anyway. She just won’t go below.

Our party was:
- Shout Guardian
- Thief
- Conditions Mesmer
- Conditions Engineer
- DPS/conditions Necromancer

Please, if any of you experienced the same issue with Doowayna – post it. Becasue I can hardly believe that such a great game as GW2 can be so brutally filled with bugs and technical issues.

To Anet dev team – F I X I T ! ! ! (or at least admit it officialy that you are not able to do it)
