Yes, your Builds looks really good. Tbh, i never tried Staff Tempest with Conjures. But makes Sense with waiting for the Overloads.
And i just tested Earthshield because i had read some of your Posts about it. Never ever would have assumed it feels so smooth with Lightning Rod.
Rarely playing Spvp these Days. But for roaming im using this right now. (Core Ele again)
Aquamancers Training is great for having almost always Water Trident up, but like more the short Cd on my Lightning Flash. So, makes more Sense with Staff.
Would be great if Conjures becoming an instant summon;). Sometimes messing up when to summon them and getting interrupted.

Add Earthshield to Lightning Rod and you have 4 Ccskills. Block, Invul, … for between your Bursts. And yes, Superspeed is very important too.
I like S/D with Lightning Rod for Roaming. Air, Water, Arcane. Powerbuild with 2,4k Armor 2, 3k Power and a bit Healing Power.
You have good sustain – Teleport, Mistform, Conjure Earthshield and Fgs. Ride the Lightning, Cc, Blinds… you just have to choose your Playground and shouldnt fight in open Terrain. Many great Places at the new Borders to roam and kite there.
But yes, ofc there are Classes that can better engage/disengage. But you cant have it all;).
Ele is still good enough for Roaming.

Happend more than once to myself and without another Target or Bird, Sentry, … . Still buggy and didnt even noticed that it was fixed for a short Time.
Wondered why nobody was complaining about it anymore.
Pretty balanced Build for me. Yes, no Chrono and it relies on stacking Might. But thats not really difficult with the Build.
But lacking Swiftness. Oof i use Focus for buffing, so its working for me.
Because PP is too expensive. 5, Bound, Stealth Aa through Smokefield. After that you have to Unload through the Field. Anything else does not enough Dmg/Burst to get them down. Way too expensive. Just Bound with 5 and Aa wouldnt be enough, but yes… can be annoying. Shadow Shot helps a lot (blind in general)
Other than that Staff works good too. Try to keep Weakness on them with Staff and Trait. Blind them and just use Vault when you are sure to hit.
I dropped Sb for Staff + D/P.
Than maybe they were as bad as the Dh’s?
Good Bunker Tempests with Earth are able to outsustain you, if they know when to dodge.
Sure they are beatable, same with Dh’s and other Classes. But those two are just annoying for a Thief/Daredevil, if played well. Wouldnt wasting time with them..
I like Staff and there are Fights that are way easier with Staff because of the Aoedamage. But yes, if you are using it as your Mainweapon unhindered Combatand and Roll for Initiative/Shadow Step helps a lot. But i prefer D/P and Bound. This Way i have still Stealth for better dis-/engaging a Fight and different Openers.
Pulmonary Impact and Quickness are nice to have too;).
But you have to know when to be on which Weaponset. Still improving myself with Staff and like it.
Rly Burtnik? Standing on Range with Dh for better Dmgmodificator but not with Rev, so the hardest Hit wont come up?..
Rev can easily get Might and Vul. up. And IF he hits you twice with it while having the Modificators, its just too much for such a low Cost and CD.
Have to be fixed that it hits only once. Maybe get Energycost and Cd a bit up. But my Issue atm is just the Doublehit.

If not changed, its as Eazypanda wrote. Precast Wc and use Steal. The Char is doing the Hits without the Charge right at the Enemy.
So, after some Time i gave Tempest a Try too. Thought at the Beginning its bad, but than i began to like the Style. Still have to adjust my Gameplay to the Build and Mechanic.

Liked the Gust into the Meteor Shower Part. Didnt knew it works like Rapidfire and some other skills with Aiming while standing still for a Second to shoot in the correct Direction.
Now its getting easier to do some Combos with Gust:).

Yes, Staffele is the new Meta… thats the Reason why you see so many Players using Staff in Smallscale. Made my Day. Dont know what Train you are speaking of.
Not easy to Hit decent Players with Staff, so try always to lay some Fields after you used a cc Skill. But comes with more Practice.
I Prefer Signet of Earth for another Immobilize, or a Conjure Weapon (underestimated by many..). Lightning Hammer gives you good Dmg after another Static Field in Meleerange. Flame Axe has another Evade, if you have to buy a bit Time. And the Dmg is not Bad.

Yes, most of the time i dont finish channeling meteor shower. Seems in most cases i have the time for it, but just dont do it..
As for the other channels, im just not focused about the channeltime and cancel them by mistake/switching to fast. Somehow hard to get rid of it:).

Still dont like Tempest. Even with Scepter and Fresh Air its not good in my Opinion.

Thats what i run in WvW.
The cele/assa Build has enough sustain from Water/Arcane, your own Cc and Immobilize against Stability. Enough Mightstacking with Pyromancer’s Puissance and Earth 2 + Ea Dodge in Fire 4 ( 4 has longer Duration than 2)for good Condition- and Directdamage. This Way you can keep your Rotation up, if you want.. better for Smallscale and Duels.
The Zerkerbuild (playing right now) has enough Directdamage without the need to stack Might. Thats why im running it with Blinding Ashes for a bit more Defense. Even after the Nerf.
Arcane Precision and Burning Precision are nice to have in both Builds. You get more often your Damagemodificators from Fire and Weakness from Air is helpful too. With Cele you can get some nice Burningstacks up with both Traits, Fire 2 and a Dodgeroll near the Enemy while in Fire (Ea..).
Lightning Hammer helps the Zerkerbuild if you have your Cc’s on Cd. 5, 2 and a bit Aa’s are doing enough Pressure. 4 if someone stealthed near your Position.
Run both with Hoelbrak and Strength, but switched to Vampirism because for me a bit more Time to get Attunements and Skills off Cooldown helped me more. Runes of the Pack are doing fine too.
Using it in Smallscale and Duels. But im sure it works out for Zergs pretty good too, without loosing too much Sustain.

Link is in the Description. But yes, Assasin Weapon and Sharpening Stone. Will try some Zerker, Valkyrie/Cavalier Set too. But will still use +condiduration Food for the Immobilizes.
Tried Staff for Soloroaming and Duels since one Week. Bit clumsy and some stupid Attunement-switches, but its working.

Mixed with Staff. Seems Staff is doing well with Cele/Zerk too, even if im doing many mistakes on my first Day.
As Blackbeard already said, Key are the Rotations and Fireline with Cdreduction for Firetraits.
WvW is ofc a bit more difficult to get your Rotations right, as everywhere the Terrain is your Friend. But even open Area Fights are not rly hard for that Build. And ofc way more Fun than playing D/D.
And you cant compare the Autoattacks to D/D Air, but you have Rockbarrier, Air Instantcast and Fire 1 with high Mightstacks. Dont depend that much on Dragontooth for Burstdmg. You have enough Cc and Phoenix/Firegrab for that.

Yes, i would say the same. And your changes for Spvp are correct.
But for 1 vs 1’s good D/D Eles are annoying with Air, Aeromancers Training and Lightning Rod because of Shocking Aura. But depends if WvW or Spvp. Most of the Time im seeing Fireeles in Spvp.
But ppl are still trying to convince me to play D/D^^
And im playing with Hoelbrak in WvW because its cheaper. As you can see, i dont even try to get full asc. Gear.

Playing Staff always with Elemental Surge and Arcane Brilliance… Water 3 (20 Sec Cd) and AB (20 Sec Cd) is easy to combine.. always using with Earth 2 first.
2 Blasts, the Healing from AB and Water 3 + Healing Ripple (if you play something like Fire, Water, Arcane) is more than enough Healing. Thats how i play Staff. And celestial Staff with Signet of Earth does a good Job too.
But you will always hear ppl complaining about not playing cele D/D.. cause most of them just want to play the strongest Build.
Staff and Scepter are still viable.. not as strong as D/D… but useable.
No, not when fighting 1 vs 1 (Dragon’s Breath). But its more about high Burningstacks from multiple sources.. thats the Reason for the Nerf in my Opinion. One Stack Burning from RoF without a Icd would be fine too.
Dmg from Cone of Cold is fine… ppl are complaining about high Sustain. So … a 16-20 Second Cooldown would be fine. Still enough Sustain and Healing. Why would someone complain about Dmg from CoC? Nevermind..

Cone of Cold 16-20 Seconds Cooldown.
Ring of Fire: Burning need an Icd for each Player running through, 2 Seconds would be enough.
Burning Fire: Reducing the Mightstacks to 1 would be fine for me.
Drake’s Breath: Burning on the last Hit. Just 3 Stacks Burning. (Right now to much direct DMG and! Condidmg with Mightstacks.. so Burning is the bigger Problem)

There is always a counter in some ways… but he asked for a P/P Condibuild.
And the Vipeneer is fun to play with the Poisonstacking.
On the other Side, yes. Hybrid or Power will do better at the moment.
But i would never run P/P on a Hybridbuild. With cele Gear, run Rifle.
There is a good Hybridbuild from a Guildy, he is called Nano/First Target.
Doing enough Directdmg + high Burningstacks. Should give it a try. For more in depth information, just ask him. And of course you can use other mixed Gear, like he did. So cele Gear is no must have.

As mentioned before, Lightning Rod is better for quick bursting.
Fresh Air will always dish out more dmg in long term.
I think i will try Fresh Air again and will see what i like more, or what suits me better.
1-2k proc? Maybe with Soldier Gear. With Zerker, depends on Toughness/Armor, i’m critting 3,5k to 5k.
Hm.. didnt tried it again… And as things are right now, i bet its not fixed;).
Air 5, Earth 4 too. And both are Aoeskills. So no, its not useless with Staff.
What i like about it is, no Icd. You can arrange your Burst with Lr. And the Weakness as a Condition helps a lot too, with Blinds.
With Fresh Air i would be way more at Range and its to tempting to get fast back to Air because of the Lightning Strike( and to get Dmg you have to..) As i said before, can mess up the Attunementcds. More so if the Enemy evade/block it. Doesnt matter if by luck or Skill. Sure, can happen with Lr too. But i would not call it weak in a Zerkerbuild. But that’s just my opinion. Thats why i wanted Feedback to get more Data and Suggestions.
Never called it stronger or better than Fresh Air. And for me, its just boring as hell to not try something “new” or different.

Tried since the Patch a Lightning Rod Zerkerbuild. High Burst when chaining the Cc’s with the normal Burstskills.. . In my Opinion Lightning Rod Hits maybe a bit too hard (with no Icd).
And i dont play S/D with Fresh Air, cause it can easily mess up the Attunments Cd’s. But depends on the Playstyle. Im happy with the Build right now.

Fullcondition Builds are always a Problem, so i wont take more Clean for them.. just try to get them with Cc and Burst at the right Time.

Tbh, Condi Necromancers are most of the Time a Problem.. But yes, the Trait is unreliable.. still better to play with it, as without the Passive Clean.
Yeah Broski, blinding Ashes can be strong for a Blind heavy Build.. Playing it on my hybrid Staffbuild.
If they Port out… use your Port and Phoenix. Sure you cant hit always all of your Burst. And most of the Time Dt is just for distracting and getting out some dodges..

Trying a different S/D Build and i think this works quite good. So, not the best Gameplay… but its still fun to play and has more mobility (ofc) and defense because of a good Protection-uptime.
I think it would be better with Earth’s Embrace instead of Rock solid for a better Burst-defense. (Cause im not the fastest Player…)
Testing later on Rune of the Mesmer with Asura Technobabble..
Downside is the lack of Dmg after your Burst, cause no Fresh Air with the Lightning Procc… till the Addon hits.
Would be nice to get some Feedback to the Build. (I already know about my Gameplay, still enough for me^^)
Yeah, the Staffbuild is just amazing for 1 vs 1. Using it even in a Smallscalegrp when roaming sometimes. Good Aoedmg + Condipressure and good cc capabilities. And the Healing for the Grp comes on top of all this. Hardest Enemies are still good Gs Mesmers and Thiefs, the good ones. For outmanned the terrain is rly important. But still struggling against ppl why knows what they are doing.
Playing the Z/D Hybrid with this build Right now. Doing good. ( Forget the Runes…can use better ones like Pack. But its my D/D Armor too, so…)
