And this is why when Evon competed against Ellen it was already a set outcome: Ellen would win.
I like to change up my titles on my Guardian and Ranger. For the rest of my alts I tend to keep to ‘Been there, done that’ simply because I want other players to know that just because I might not have a star next to my name and on a low level character does not mean I don’t know what I am doing; I am an experienced player. I understand this might be a weird mentality but it’s just what I do for titles lol
It sucks that if you miss one update that you get very far behind in points. It would be not such a big deal but the truth is, points are actually worth something now. I feel bad for people that miss an update here and there but the people I feel worse for are those new coming to the game. It has to be overwhelming and intimidating for a new player. They will never be able to experience the Living Story or get any of the achievement points as the players from the beginning have. If I was a new player thinking of buying the game this would discourage me from purchasing.
I really don’t like the tickets being soulbound. I feel like I can’t play any of my alts this update because I need to be on my level 80s doing content for tickets. Not to mention you can buy 5 tickets at 20s. It feels like a gold sink and I don’t like it. But I guess that’s why they have that new 2 week cash shop item?
I agree with you OP, the difficulty of the gauntlets is ridiculous and unfair. The thing I’ve always loved about playing Guild Wars 2 is that you can fight in dungeons/against champions/world bosses etc with just skill alone. You can be level 80 with just level 50 gear having no problem fighting against the things I have listed previously because it takes skill, you need to be accurate with your dodges, know how the boss fights, etc. But the new gauntlet does a poor job exemplifying that. Sure, it takes some skill to face these new foes but not only do you need to worry about your skill you have to make sure you have the proper gear/weapons/traits. And if that wasn’t enough you have to be mindful of the time limit when facing the bosses. The gauntlet is a poor to design to show off skill in this game. Very disappointed in this rushed update.
I have to agree with you OP. Originally I thought they were producing the two week content simply because it’s summer time and a lot of players will be home from school occupying their time on Guild Wars. I thought it was great at first because I fall under that category too but school will be starting soon and I will spend less time playing. Regardless of that, with each update they bring us, the quality is lacking. It seems event after event with no permanent content to the story until the Candidate Trials. I feel extremely bad for new incoming players because they’ll never be able to go back and experience the Living Story as players who have been there from the start. As great as the two week content is in theory I would prefer bigger updates with more content at once. I always feel pressured into completing the new content within a two week period and I hate it
Most of my ‘photography’ screens come from Vista’s but I particularly like this screen. A nice location I found in Queensdale
Could you please show on map its location, thanks
I took the picture at the village where the Krytan Waypoint is. It’s where the level 11 heart quest ‘Help the monastery brewers’ is located(Up the stairs past the heart vendor). I hope this helps!
I hope people have more sense then to just vote for the reduced waypoints. Some guilds have bonuses that already reduce the cost of them. So unless Kiel will be reducing it more then guilds.. It’s pointless. Besides, guilds don’t have reduced prices of BLK!
#TeamEvon :P

I’m very pleased with how my asura warrior turned out.
3 piece barbaric armor and sheena’s legplates
I don’t understand why people feel like they’re entitled to WvW achievements. It’s ONE achievement that they put in for WvW players, you don’t need it for the meta achievement. If you don’t like it don’t do it. It’s a PvP zone, stop complaining about getting “camped” and killed or just don’t do it.
If it was meant for ONLY WvW players, then they should have put this achievement under the WvW Achievement Tab, but they didn’t. It is listed under the new content, making it more PvE based.
Like many of the other players here, I too am very frustrated at them placing a Kite here. I was doing the rest of the kites fine( The Fractal kite was a new twist but surely not impossible to obtain) but it seems I won’t be able to get all of them now..
Like many of the players of this thread, I have yet to receive any tickets. Dragon Bash is ending soon and I’ve already made up my mind there is no way I’ll be able to obtain any tickets before it’s over. It’s unfortunate because I would really like to own some.. It makes me wish that ANet would do away with RNG boxes like these but that will never happen.
This might seem biased and I understand that it is, but I typically kick people from party for dungeon groups when they are using all Signets(Even with two I am iffy). Especially Rangers.. To me, all that is doing is proving how lazy of a player they are and have no interest in learning what their other skills do and those are the kind of people I don’t want to play with.
I’m female who only plays as female characters. I do that for every game I play. Not sure why specifically I stick only to females but it makes more sense for me to play as one. I like how females typically look in most games as well as how their armor looks.
Having played through the story on two level 80 characters I only have one main concern with Trahaerne. I mostly dislike the fact that it feels like he takes all the credit that my character works for. I feel like my character is just there and after meeting Trahaerne it starts to seem that it’s his personal story and less of mine.
(I only have a level 80 Guardian that uses a scepter, so basing it off that) Personally, I find specter is pos weapon for Guardian. It has it’s usefulness, such as drawing aggro but the positives end there. When playing my Guardian, if I want to go range for any reason I’ll just swap to a Staff. A Staff does more damage anyway. It also makes me cringe whenever I see a Guardian use a Specter and Shield opposed using a Sword and Shield. Especially in dungeons it makes me want to rage at the person and tell them they are an idiot for using that weapon and adding no value whatsoever to the group. My two cents.
They are so adorable! Please take all my money ANet so I can purchase one !
I understand your pain completely OP. I just finished Malchor’s Leap on my level 80 Guardian but it didnt come without struggle. I even tried to get a group going to do Lyssa but it was terrible. There was only 5 of us but we quickly realized how a party of 5 can’t beat Lyssa. This is rather disappointing.
As someone who has a Guardian and a Ranger, the difference between the armor is huge. I love my Guardian cause well, I can actually survive longer and not be a ‘glass cannon’. Having said that, I 100% agree with only Guardian and Warrior parties. I first played Ranger but now I have my Guardian as my 2nd level 80 and obviously my first melee class. Being in front of a enemies faces, you start to notice things a lot more and are aware of your surroundings better. So, I notice how others play to. Most ranged classes I’ve seen in dungeon just stand in one spot and spam skills. Um yeah, that’s helpful I guess. No movement, just standing there doing damage. Aka no skill whatsoever and expecting the melee character to do all the work as far as tanking and aggro goes. Furthermore, MOST ranged ‘glass cannon’ squishy characters I’ve come across on my Guardian expect TO BE CARRIED. Especially in CoF(AC too). Because they are all those things I listed they don’t feel like they need to any work at the lava part in CoF path 2, expect warrior and guardians to do it. This mentality really pisses me off. I’d go with a Guardian/Warrior group over any other group, faster and less deaths.
(For starters I am not sure which forum this best fits so I am hoping it will be fine here)
This past weekend I purchased a very nice limited edition version of the strategy guide at GameStop, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. My issue here is, as the title suggests, is the map stand that came with my purchase. I love the concept of the map stand and want to use it for what it is intended for but, the maps are simply outdated and do not help me as much as they should. The icons are old(seen from the first BWE), no vistas are listed, and the higher level maps are not seen either.I really want to enjoy this product but I am limited. So I suppose this more directed towards ANet, but I was wondering if there are any plans of this product being re-released to a more updated version. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my post!
