  • Mixed BL – If desert BL gets fixed (as in towers are made strategic again) amongst other changes, yeah it might be interesting. The best fights I’ve had are still on the Alpine BL though.
  • World LInking – Every 2 months
  • Deplayable cannons/mortars – No, no more siege
  • Repair hammer – No, would benefit large groups too much.

3. If, as I’m very much hoping, you take measures to reduce the overall level of damage (which was massively inflated by the June patch and HoT), protection uptime may also end up being a bit high, mainly due to tempest. Perhaps lowering the number of times it can stack in duration (in order to encourage good prot rotation) would be a good idea.

Tempest earth overload was nerfed a while ago now, only 1 stack of prot will remain.

Coming from a havoc guild and roamer:

1) Map rotation. I like the Desert Borderlands but there is no strategic element to them. If we take a fortified north tower, I want to be able to treb gari from it. In the Alpine Borderlands you had to defend your North and South West Tower as they could be used offensively.

That being said, some of the most fun outnumbered fights have been had on the DBL. The small choke points around Air and Fire keep are great for smaller groups.

- 2 weeks Alpine, 1 week Desert rotation?

2) Stability. Revert the stack changes. Seperate WvW skills.

3) Scoring/Population Balance

4) Autoloot! The first thing I specifically went for when HoT came out was autoloot for WvW, as it was stated in a GW2 stream that it could be used in WvW.

5) Rewards in general but specifically defending/scouting (Not sure how scouting would work) needs better rewards.

Bonus: The guild hall arena was meant for GvGs yet it uses PvE retaliation instead of WvW retaliation. That means each tick of retal hits for 100-150 extra compared to in WvW. We’ve had to stop using the guild hall and go back to WvW/EotM to GvG.

I’m from England but on Dragonbrand NA, need a guild that raids between 17:00-23:00 GMT/server time (12:00-18:00 EST). I’m 25 years old. Looking for a raiding guild that preferably raids weekdays although I may be able to join weekends too.

I can play all classes (all in ascended) although my main is an ele. I’ve played druid in the raids I’ve been in so far.

I used to solo/duo and sell Arah paths. I used to trio fractal 50s and sell them. Have microphone and TS.

I’ve just unlocked the mastery and I crash everytime I get loot dropped. I’ve turned it off and playing fine now.

Slightly better, works out better for me personally as I’m from EU playing on NA BUT we do not have a massive EU presence and there are not a lot of players on at this time. Why would you want to more reset to a timezone when maybe 1 map will get a queue?

I’m sure most people would rather take a couple of hiccups during resets than missing them completely/dead resets due to reset time changes.

Please leave it Friday, I don’t even get to participate in reset due to my timezone and can see why it should stay! I don’t want to miss Saturday morning raids.

This is a complex problem. The intention was to make it harder to fire from the ground onto and over walls while still being able to fire from walls downward, but trying to get such behavior is not simple. I do agree that the cases displayed in the screenshots are not great though.

If you need any testers I would be willing to help and test the normal locations of offensive and defensive ACs. This patch proves you need WvW players to test these locations.

So this update has ruined ACs as defensive options, yet still allows them to be used offensively. Absolutely ridiculous and needs to be changed.

I could understand this one not being able to hit rams but it should be able to hit further out.

To make it even worse, offensive ACs can be used to counter these defensive ones. The defensive ACs can’t even hit the offensive ones.

“Overload Water: Cast time increased from 2.75 seconds to 4.” Has there been an increace in the amount this heals? It was already weak compared to switching to water/dodging.

“note: Heat Sync is currently over-performing in its ability to spread all boons to allies. We’ll be looking to narrow down the boons it can spread, to just the Might boon, in order to keep its purpose more clear.” Just remove quickness from being sharable. Don’t ruin the only good skill on the warhorn.

Where’s that blast finisher and/or aura gone that was said to be on the table?

RIP tempest, it was nice knowing you.

Rebound has become useful now, the only ele elite that is worth using in WvW. I would still not trait into tempest just to use rebound though.

Also, you’re might didn’t last as long as you thought. You had around 10 stacks most of the time unless you purposely stacked might. I didn’t see anything here that couldn’t be done with standard D/D or with staff since you were so much in the back. On top of that, condi clearing seemed so lacking =(

I agree after watching it again the might doesn’t last long. It takes 6 seconds to receive 11 might which only lasts for 12 seconds and you have to stand still to receive it.

In the current form I would rather use d/d over tempest. This was one of my first fights testing it out which is why I was hanging back a bit and my condi cleansing was off. Our group only runs 3-8 usually so I wasn’t interested in the zerging capabilities, which I don’t think it will have any place in (guards better at it).

Then run d/d tempest and get the best of both worlds just lose out on one dmg line.

It’s almost if you’re not understanding or purposefully misunderstanding – there is no gain from running Tempest. The trade off for losing that one damage line to take Tempest is out of whack you lose more than you gain.

The only thing that allows you to heal more in Tempest is from 2 sources – Auras heal and the new heal. That is it. The Overload does less healing than the standard water/Arcane rotations. In return you lose way too much.

No one is arguing the Tempest is meant to be support oriented, it just needs to be BUFFED to make it worth taking. It needs to give you enough support to justify the loss in damage. The best way to do that is to make the overloads viable. Once you fix that and change some cooldowns on the shouts Tempest will be a great choice as a viable support option.

Exactly. If I play d/d I will take air for fresh air and reduced air cooldowns. Tempest traits are useless, the warhorn is the best bit. The shout heal is nice in group situations, 7.5k+ heal for 5 players. I liked the frost aura shout and elite but the rest didn’t seem useful/too long cooldown.

Overloads just don’t give a big enough benefit for the time it takes to overload. The heal would need to heal for 10k+ instead of the current 5k heal (4×500 heal ticks + 3k final heal).

The tempest was good at mighting up and sharing armour of earth (although incredibly long cooldown) It manages to keep a decent 20+ might on your group for the majority of the time. Who else played with the tempest in WvW and what were your thoughts?

Warhorn air 5 seemed useless to me, just doesn’t do any damage or have any utility/CC you would expect from a 5th weapon skill. I liked all the other warhorn skills though.

Rebound didn’t work with any utility skills, is this a bug?

You can fix the guild chat by having the user appear invisible and then online again.

I am having the same issue with guild workshops though, only being able to build 1 item at a time.

If new players really are having an issue, which I highly doubt they aren’t as I figured this out first time when I started a few months ago, give us an advanced option where we can choose how many gems we want to buy.

I’ve rarely bought gems with gold, usually buy them straight out but this change has made me rethink if I should support GW2.

I’d like to join in this brainstorm with some questions on these. For merging servers, how do we determine who gets merged? Where would we merge them to? How do we maintain any sort of world pride or identity they have? How do we handle potentially merging with your mortal enemies?

I’m just commentating on merges, there are some great ideas about balancing WvW though.

1) It would be best if you found servers with good overall coverage and merged them with servers with less coverage.
2) Maintaining pride: Planetside 2 has a “Merger Smash” event when they merge servers. The 2 servers fight and the winner gets to keep the name, if the match is 50/50 then a new name is chosen.
3) Mortal enemies: IMO they will have to just deal with it or transfer off.

Finally, regarding swinging ye olde banhammer, that’s an option but if we can make some reasonable adjustments that greatly reduces the need for that option it will really be the better way to go. I would very much like to steer clear of falling back to that option in this discussion.

These are the type of trolls that need to be banned. Their sole purpose of having multiple accounts is to troll servers they are against.

If players can provide clear video evidence of players walking multiple golems off cliffs on purpose, building 10 balistas right next to the supply deopt. Would we be able to get them warned and banned for multiple offences?

This requires little time for GM checking players in-game and allows players to police and provide you the evidence.

Huh, I can see how it would be frustrating for it to restart the spinning. Perhaps there is a happy middle ground where it starts out spinning then once you move the camera it stops.

Please. Personally, this has been the most annoying feature that was added last patch.

An excellent example of a company already doing this is SOE with Planetside 2. They allow players to download and use their test server to test all upcoming changes. They have changed/completely removed multiple features and updates as the community did not approve of them within the test client.

Would love it if all game developers had the transparency of the PS2 devs.

Hi

Looking for a guild, mainly to do guild missions but if you have an active PVE group I would help as well. Likely moving to BP soon so if you are from BP and do both PVE and WvW I would be keen to join.

I’m on usually between 17:00-23:00 GMT and weekends can vary from early to late. Would like to find a guild that does guild missions around this time.

Started about 2 months ago, have an 80 ele and working on a guardian currently.
