Its not elitist to want to play with other adventurers that possess as many hardcores as you, its normal.

Oh you dont like that there is a way to measure ones ability and capacity to perform? Thats normal too and there is a solution.

Make your own Exotic friendly group, let the hardcores enjoy the game their way. More often then not that means not carrying people.

Every MMO has botters and gold sellers…
Nothing new here.
Also the game has not even been out 2mo.
You need to remember that all the botters/gold sellers learned how to do it from WoW and then they hop on GW2 and has that knowledge to do it here till Arenanet uses the ban hammer and gets things in place that stopps them.

No this botting is out of control, they arnt even hiding it, if Anet is losing if they are this ballsy. There is also the hacks, where they can teleport to any point with coords. And yes there are compilations of every coord for map completion nodes etc,

remember the 21 karma perma bans, same day it was announced bots got a 3 day suspension. Ooops.

Well.. At least I’ve been able to sleep and catch up on all my school work this week. But I’ll agree with Elthurien, “this was a hollow win nor do I feel like we deserve to move up a rank.” I liked the progression rate SoR had.. People coming to the server now want to sky rocket the server into the top tiers. It’s going to ruin our wonderful community. Hopefully when we start losing they’ll leave and all the original guilds can work SoR’s community back up to its former glory.

Most guilds wont even talk to you, let alone work with you. You are delusional.

The DS heal I use to trigger rejuvenation healing almost 300 a sec.

You dont see over healing numbers.

You dont see dmg mitigated from retaliation.

I dont post an exact build because I dont feel like debating x over y while having z. In fact I am not even sure what it was in the video.

I presented you the basics premise and demonstration of my playstyle when I use so many different combinations within a certain build, I can specialize in wells, fear, staff, etc and do.

Mhm those are by far the lowest heals one can get. Guardian? Don’t even try… Elementalist? About mmm 2-3 times more heals. Engineer is still higher on heals.
Tanking? Oh god… if you were dead any more then you were in your “NECRO OP” videos i would guess its your first time playing GW2.
All in all… both in healing and tanking you were as far down the drain as I have seen w/o failing miserably.
Neither plague signet or wall or grasp are worth anything.
Signet despite what tooltip says doesn’t remove anything. Wall is… if you cant figure why its horrible skill then we got nothing to talk about. And grasp in pve serves no purpose.
I’m not really out to trash and flame you… but anytime someone shows up with wild grandious claims of necro being “OP” all i see is a bunch of yapping with no math to back it up.
As far as tanking and healing goes I could get more results with full MM spec. Why? While they die in 1 hit they still save you from that 1 hit. Spamming a short cd on staffs 2 would heal for same amount as you swapping around and exiting ds for 1 barely noticeable heal.
You brought nothing to that party in short. You can’t tank anything on necro if you die in 3 hits. Just because you aren’t getting hit doesn’t make you a “tank”. As far as healing goes its both barely noticeable and does nothing else past that.
A simple 3 sec protection on well spec would mitigate far more damage then 700 heal. Lets just take a light armored player for example 5-10k is usually what you get hit for if you do get hit. 33% of 10k is 3k damage chopped off. That would take a lot of ds exits. Also for istance blood well could be comboed for condition removal… hell in places with multi dot stacking on party well of power could be a paradise.
Was going to say your elite is horrible too… but meh we got terrible elites no matter what. Lich is power or gtfo… plague is pvp thief raging tool… and golem is pretty much dmg if lich or plague don’t work for you.
All in all fact is you brought the least to the party out of any class. You neither could provide any noticeable healing nor could you survive actually getting hit consistently.

Do you always take the time to write so much about something you deem as having no value? Thanks for paying such close attention to details, like mist immunities and double HP pool. Funny though, when I see something worthless I usually move on to something worth my time. You got all worked up and in a tizzy.

Does it erk you that bad that you cant figure out how to play a necro while others make it look easy.

read up on retaliation, I would say GL but its clear that wont help you.

I rotate through the a few different trait load outs. The heal on exiting DS is ok, it pops off around 700 I think and with 30 point Soul Reaping making the DS cooldown ~5s you can use it alot. Without a heal proc run set though it would lose its value substantially. I use a Dwanya set atm. I guess my major problem posting a spec is its a work in progess and I actually am not 100% which one is in video, and changes from pull to pull. Sometimes i swap out 30pt DS CD reduction for stability. Sometimes I take the Death tree out completely.

Healing on a necro can get crazy. I didnt wanna use food in this. But with seating mist (or whatever that ele regen is) and the +hp/s food (matches ele HP/s) and my regen with healing power stacked you can push 500 hp/s on your self. I still need to figure out which skills proc healing procs etc.

A few things though, your comments about necros wanting to do damage and that hey are king of DOTS is from other mmos forcing hat role upon the necro. In this game the necro can be whatever they want high damage, condition/dots/tanky any of those and Thank god for that because I honestly do not like pets or DOT style play and neither do many others.

2nd thing, and I don’t mean this to be kittenounding or anything, just an observation, I didn’t really see you doing too much support :/ definitely saw like you said the tankiness, or like we called them you were a bullet sponge, definitely saw you soaking up a lot of damage which is cool. If that’s what you meant by support in soaking up damage then I saw that, but support usually involves healing, removing conditions off allies and so on. Spectral grasp, wall, aren’t to big for support, maybe the wall for protection.

Other than that great bid thanks for sharing. There is no reason to hate on anyone that takes the time to make a vid and showcase their style of play.

Ahhh, well I heal for around 700 dmg every time I exit DS, which is why you will see me toggle it and move make seeming pointless dodges/movements in a direction. Next is my regeneration which ~275 HP/sec range, which I keep up constantly on allies between my runes and 4 ability. I also stack weakness and exposed rapidly.

You are right about Grasp, we had just finished another dungeon and I needed it to split a pull. I thought it could be used to peel and it wasnt effective.

Watch the start of 2nd, that is a better skill loadout. I select from a wide range of utilities based on group and fight mechanics. This group was very well rounded to boot and my signet to absorb conditions wasnt really needed. The darkness was for rezzing and armor to boost tanking. I dont really use traits that depend on utilities. Having close to 100% retaliation uptime seems to handle most situations.

I never see a necro built like myself, hell I dont see many necros. Seems they all are upset other classes are superior in DD. If you wanted some sort of assassin like burst why did you pick necro? The king of DOTs?

The acolyte fight is actually a run directly after the one in start, video was corrupted. I was gonna rerun but it showcased some different utilities so i smooshed it in.

basically utilizes entering and exiting DS mechanics sometimes I even click it on and off right away knowing it will be up 5s later.

Even if there was, it doesnt solve the problem. There will always be new people they will follow he blue icon. When he says:

“Dont worry about keeps we will get more points after puzzle when we take it back, and you can use free siege”

His zerg guild and numerous pugs abandon our objectives. The shortage in manpower cost us objectives, then he come back and has the pugs drop sieges so he can claim keep. Basically stealing it at the cost of all its upgrades.

They need a system that hold them responsible for there action. Its a responsibly and privilege, if you abuse it or cant handle the pressure toggle it off.

Can we get a system that hold Commanders responsible for there desicions.

100g gets you the icon and basically a pug beacon they will follow. Let there be a vote of confidence that removes the mark to non-guilded players of the Comm in question by default. This would last an hour and players could display “unfit” commanders via a toggle in the map display.

They were giving jump puzzle instructions through map chat, while QL and our camps that were 100% upgraded fall. We almost lost keep.

This isnt uncommon or isolated to one guild. ninja claims from a guild that funded and siege a garrison, refusing to escort orb unless brought to HIS claimed objectives, and group looting supplies of non guilds keeps/towers . . .

FIFO? LIFO? Not Exactly, Since this is the reality everyone should know.

Sevveral people are using this to have an advantage over other traders. I also know devs are well aware of the details of this. Seeing as this is just how the system works I dont think sharing the details is wrong, and infact puts people on a level playing field.

The system works like this. Items are sorted smallest to largest and smallest goes out first. This is to clear as many entries in the database as possible, reduce partials, and not have to store as detailed timestamps etc. Its all about minimizing data for a smoother experience.

Unfortunetly once you figure this out you can use it dominate inattentive sellers. I wont detail how.

If you do 1500 trials in a row you will net the same amount.
If you did 150 trails of 10 spaced out 12 hours, you would see a significant skew towards MF.

The best way to defend a keep or tower any more is to build all siege equipment inside just behind the gate and wait, then blast the attackers as they charge through. Placing defensive siege equipment on the walls is a waste of time since they will be AOE’d down in seconds anyways.

Some arrow carts can stay safe, and there are several ballista locations that cant be hit.

Of course that takes 20 people off of taking keeps, defending supply etc. You should be proud that your attempt to do the jumping puzzle has helped your entire servers war effort comrade!

And the mesmers chain porting our team through gets people back to the frontlines siege in hand faster.

Doesn’t this strategy require your enemy to be so incredibly stupid that they remain unaware that there are merchants in every starting area on every map which sell siege? Or is this where we all pretend the price of siege weapons isn’t ridiculously low?

I have never completed or camped a puzzle. In fact I dont even know where the puzzle is in EB, and once tried the BL puzzle and ended up fighting til I was killed and returned to battle.9

You’re missing the point, the grieving being done is not the pvp in the puzzles its the blocking of choke points with out of range siege weapons.

If it was possible to hold stonemist castle with a single arrow cart, no matter the size of the enemy army, would you still defend this as a viable tactic?

That is only effective because yuo enemy has 1 less Gerber Baby Scrub and you have 1 more, so it could net you up too 2 Gerber caliber scrubs for 24 hours. Transfers should disable WvW for you through entirety of round.

Greifing is ruining another players game experience just to ruin it. A greifer gets off knowing how mad you are and its a power trip in a sense. The puzzle quests awards your enemy up to siege weapons, FIVE. This are more then often gonnna be used against your team to deny you points and objectives. Why would we not sercure it? WHy would there be a truce? If we can hold it, have mesmers port team around it to fast track our siege supplies,kittenstraight we are gonna do it.

This is a MMO. I dont hear QQ that you cant solo the Castle. Guess what? You shouldnt expect to solo the puzzle quest. Get a group, man up, and go get 20-50 sieges with 10 people, then turn around and go lay waste to the enemy. Thats how it was suppose to be used.

Its kinda unfair. Rams stand no chance, that was a base level keep with basically no D. Thoes people on wall are about as dangerous as a vetern archer with a wet noodle.

If i had reinforced doors, a imp. catapault, and maybe some repairing that door isnt going down.

Guess you forgot about that signet that takes all conditions that would go on allies.

Even if it works, the CD is still higher than the Mesmer’s Null Field and it’s not a gtae.

Almost everything you mentioned can be done more effective by the Mesmer, so why again should we pick a Necro for tPvP?

The signet takes 100% conditions at all time, no CD unless you use the active.

What class makes it so every other party member never gets a single condition?

Not we, sometimes the Mesmer.

What class Applies every condition in a single click and then spreads it like an AoE with a 2nd?

We, if the skill decides not to bug.

Arena Net has confirmt that the Necro isn’t working as intended and that it needs a lot of love till it does. So don’t troll.

Even if you had any substance besides a couple random videos to backup your assertion of necros being OP, you ought to notice that much of the ire held by necros at the moment comes not from inherent balancing issues, but from the fact that a ridiculous number of our traits either have improper tooltips, don’t interact properly with other traits/skills, are absolutely useless (e.g. 5 second jagged horrors that give free rallies in pvp), or just do nothing.

Also, a lot of critiques of the class come more from conceptual anomalies than “____ does it better than we do.” For instance: the inconsistency between death shroud’s life blast and condition necros, wells on a 45-60 sec. cd. being countered with a single dodge, and minions being absolute morons. Even if your claim regarding necro balance was even remotely true, these inherent issues warrant some consideration, in our opinion.

Wells, esp when made ground target-able are the most OP, I didnt even show that because its faceroll easy. And a dodge negates everything, wait for them to use them, or one of many other methods to get them

No offence, but if you want to come up with the idea that we indeed need no fix in pvp, atleast provide us with some decent footage of some PVP.
First of all its in spvp, not tpvp where the skill is alot higher.
Secondly, its clearly that most of the damage is not being dealt by you.
Thirdly, and dont take this into offence, but those vids only show a less-mediocre playstyle.

Video 1: Well done, you took no dmg from a couple of silver mobs and a bunch on normals, using your minions as meat shields. What were we supposed to learn from that? Yay Necromancers can use their useless minions as meat shields?

This does not change the measurable weak points between us in these roles and any other class. It has already been shown that many classes stack conditions (in specifics but not exclusively bleeds) faster, that conditions hit harder (power) and that we are outlived by most any other (but not all) classes with a survivability build. Yea a good player can make due with the tools they have, I do fairly well. We still are playing uphill. Some people would rather not.

What class takes every enemies buff and turns it against them?
What class makes it so every other party member never gets a single condition?
What class Applies every condition in a single click and then spreads it like an AoE with a 2nd?

We have a skill cap, debatablly one of the highest. So much comes into play and must be analyzed when making a decision. You have to know your enemy, be in both melee and range posistioning, predict enemy movement when placing marks/wells, etc. Another hurdle is gear for necro that is ideal cant be crafted.

We have the potential to game change like no other class, no situation we cant adapt for, people just need to realize it isnt like any other class and stop comparing them.

Whats even scarier is this code applies to salvaging also. I know because I found an item I could by salvage and it would give me 1-3 ectos. I would average 1.8 ectos per salvage (over ~200 trials) There was a issue though, I could get them at this rate until I got 11-13 ectos, then the drop rate went to 0% (14 was the most trials after hitting that magic number, 4 w/o an ecto was most i went without an ecto before hitting the “magic number”)

I have also seen this with the forge.

So first you discount that the more vitality you have the more death shroud you have, which is does.

then you say the forum posters information is baseless yet you pull the exact numbers they use to try and prove toughness is flat out better than and that vitality has no place in survivability.

the only thing you are proving with the chunk you pulled out of the post if that going from 1800 armor to 2600 armor is a 42% increase. that’s doesn’t mean a 42% increase per point in effectieness

The formula isn’t just guess work it actually conveys how long you will survive vs damage with your stat weights. You are also grasping pretty hard if you think necros scale well at all with healing. Healing through siphon builds are pretty much a non factor when it comes to looking at a necros survivability. It’s actually the key factor separating us from being as tanky as guardians and warriors.Toughness only increases from healing if you have meaningful healing to begin with. If you say necro heals can compare you are flat out lying.

put simply an extra 26k health will be harder to chew through at 30% reduction than 20k hp at 40% reduction. especially when you have to contend with direct and condition damage.

honestly you seem set in your ways though so anyone reading can take what they will from this.

if you want to believe that necros have good enough healing to increase our toughness stat weight over vitality, that toughness is what makes death shroud more potent defensively than actually increasing it’s pool, and that necros make conditions completely irrelevant by all means just stack toughness.

It’s wrong but I’m tired of hitting my head on a wall.

If you dont recognize necros self healing then you have no grasp on our class. You spew disinformation, and it only hurts the community. Sorry you suck at necro, stop raging and spreading lies.

This doesn’t account for our lifeforce/deathshroad where VIT is meaningless, and toughness acts like vitality keeping us up for those most crucial seconds.

Except vitality acts as vitality since your death shroud is based off your HP.

More vit = more DS

No more hunger = More DS

Please dont comment on things if you are guessing thats how it works.

If you really wanna look at numbers

Vitality facts
Warrior and Necro get +39% health by adding 798 vitality
Mesmer, Engineer and Ranger get +47% health by adding 798 vitality
Ele, Guardian and Thief get +64% health by adding 798 vitality

Toughness facts
Heavy armor classes get +36% armor by adding 798 toughness
Medium armor classes +39% armor by adding 798 toughness
Cloth classes +42% armor by adding 798 toughness

Also toughness potentiates our healing while vitality does squat, so make sure you add that in next time you come up with sudo theories.

Okay, as we do eat conditions and should generally be running at least 3 different ways of removing them (OH Dagger, Staff, Consume Conditions), I want to discount them for the time being. That means that unless you’re somehow going a heavy Siphon build (which doesn’t work at this point and time), you pretty much want to stick to that formula to maximize your eHP, or HP/Armor > 10, add Toughness, possibly erring on the side of Toughness for boosting up Death Shroud. That gives us pretty close to a 1:1 ratio.

Not to mention HP boost we get if we take a shape shift elite further negating vitality. Ohh and 100s of cond dmg i get from toughness which in turn = more HPS

The ideal necro stat pairing9, will be running +Tough +Per + Cond Dmg, that is trifecta.

But most importantly vitality is worthless when in deathshroud, while toughness still is calculated and prolongs time in deathshroud.

this is simply not true the condition damage you would get back from the 5% toughness rune set is around 100 condition damage if you stacked toughness. Even if you did stack toughness to condition damage buffs your getting what 200ish condition damage back? only 5% of that goes into the actual condition damage so that like 10 extra damage a second.

Put simply a necromancer with a shaman set with stack toughness will have 3200 ish armor, but they will have like 20k hp

The same stacking necro with a soldier necklace will have around 2900 armor but 26k+ hp

better yet a soldier necro that stack toughness vit evenly will be around 27k hp and 2800 armor.

now the extreme toughness stacked necro will be reducing maybe 8-10% more but will have a dramatically lower pool to defend themselves with, while the even stacked necro survives longer and at almost no extra damage taken.

also toughness is completely passed over by condition damage while vitality is condition damage’s main counter stat


condition damage , precision , vit would be Carrion
toughness version would be Rabid

this is simply full of assumptions and logic that only proves you dont understand the class at all.

I eat conditions, thats our specialty. Send them my way, that’s how I heal, buff, and kill you.

That was a well centered build but I was missing most traits due to them not saving. wells should of been ground targeting, dodges should of been dropping blood marks.

Recently been toying with something new. this is the 60 req. points IMO left 10 out as they can go alot of places.
