I’ll throw in another vote for Goldiy of Ehmry Bay. Very friendly and fun commander to follow. He is very dedicated and leads the recapture of our home bl almost everyday. We have a great home defense because of Goldiy.

Just wanted to jump in and say that I have loved the alliance suggestions. I wanted to lay out how I could see it working (sorry if something similar has been said).
It seems that most matchups are determined by the end of the weekend, so my thought was on Monday if the T1 score is greater that T2+T3 then teams 2 and 3 are forced to make an alliance. The other server will now appear green instead of red so there is no option but to fight with them. I think that you combine their scores at this point and they become a new color indicating the alliance. Obviously this doesn’t fit in with the ranking system, but all you do is when the alliance is formed freeze the ranking system and however each server was going to gain or fall in rankings doesn’t change the rest of the week. To encourage people to continue playing you can win a reward chest at the end of the week that either T1 or the alliance of T2 and T3 can win. You would be eligible for the chest if you get 25-50wvw kill during the alliance period.
Something along those lines, I know its probably not a perfect idea, but I think it would make the weekday more fun for blowout matches. I think I saw Devon posted earlier he was surprised this didn’t happen more naturally to begin with and I think it seems to be and unwritten rule that you don’t form alliances. Any time that I have seen people do this or try to do this people become very angry. It really doesn’t make sense because it makes for betting fights. I know the one time (a while back) this happened to Ehmry Bay. I think we were beating Anvil Rock and Borlis Pass by a large margin and they agreed to an alliance. It was awesome an week. Instead of being bored and steam rolling we had interesting and difficult fights. Being constantly double teamed in eternal made for some really epic keep defenses.
TL;DR: Some sort of alliance system would really help with population imbalances and make matches a lot more fun.

I like the idea of adding a new map, but I am concerned as a mid tier wvw player that has seen players already leave to higher tier servers. I felt like the long queue times was the one incentive for players to leave T1 servers for lower population servers. Now this will be gone. It seems that there will no reason to not be on a T1 server now. Should I just plan on saving gems to transfer now?

Would it be worth the gift of fortune, the gift of X, and the gift of mastery? Probably not. Also, what do you mean the gift of X. Does arenanet have to create a gift for every single weapon or is there some gift that will be universal for all weapons? Its a nice idea, but I would doubt people would do it since legendaries are known for their effects, not their stats.
Gift of X would be universal with similar mat requirements as existing gifts for specific weapons.

Random idea that I had was what if you could upgrade any existing weapon/skin to a Legendary weapon. You would be required to acquire the gifts of exploration, fortune and gift of “X”. Then your precursor would be the weapon that you want upgraded. It would not come with any graphic changes, but would ensure your weapon is always BiS and you could change stats out of combat.
So, I wanted to see what others might think of this idea. Is there a weapon that you would consider upgrading? Would it be too “easy” since the precursor is usually the hardest item to acquire?
Personally I would consider upgrading The Anomoly. It’s my favorite focus skin.

The champs do drop loot at SB, but he was dead in 3min and only 1 champ spawned. No problem here.

Nah, that’s fine, I’m sure the SAB fixes are much faster/easier to implement than this. Forging infinite light is for chumps anyway.

I am about 100g away from crafting Bolt. I’m not sure what I should do right now though. I have about 50-60g in mats right now that I could sell and really push me closer to finishing, but I don’t know if I should sell them or use them to help me craft to 500 so I can craft Ascended weapons. Thinking I might just sell and get my other Ascended weapons later.

Have they said will stat type Claws will be used to make? If not it might make sense that sentinal would be craftable using Claws in the next update.

Working on Bolt. Have made good progress over the last two months. Just finished the Gift of Fortune which feels great. I was lucky enough to have Zap drop for me back during the 2nd Southsun event with the magic find buff. All I have left to focus on are Icy Runestones and Charged Lodestones. It’s about 300g worth left of saving which will take some time, but only having two things left makes me feel much closer. I’m hoping the new champ loot system will help lower Charged Core/Lode prices some to help me out too.

What if they only gave a title for winning first but no achievement points? Also not have the first place achievement count towards the meta. This way the players that are not as skilled or the players that do not care for the game can play to get the non-skill based achievements and not worry about winning. After they get their achievements the game would be left with the players that enjoy playing the mini game and could compete for the title.

So I have one stack of baubles and 1 bauble in my second stack. I have collected numerous baubles since I have been at 251, but my total never changes. Is there a cap that I am unaware of? Maybe I missed something.

As someone with 7 80s, this change was needed.
This game isn’t about using dragontimer and sitting and farming chests all day. It hurts the rest of the game by causing huge amounts of lag and overflows while events are going on, which makes it very annoying for things like the new guild quests and any other things they plan to add to flesh out zones.
Before the buff to group event chests, there was never overflows and far less lag during events. Having a guaranteed rare per day per event is still loads better then what we had before the chest buff, and overall it’s a pretty fair compromise to get people to still do an event but not overload zones because of how easy it dragontimer makes it to hit everything. Not to mention you have to think about the economy and rewards of doing other things, it’s much harder to balance rewards for other styles of play when you can just port around and use a webpage to get 10+ rares an hour with minimal work by just auto attacking a dragon while you go browse the internet or watch t.v. on a 2nd monitor.
Everyone whining obviously knows nothing about balance in terms of economy and reward structures or has never played other MMOs, because this is by far the lowest risk/ease to get valuable items out of any game I’ve played as it currently stands.
^A million times this. A lot of win in this comment. The point of alts is not farm easy boss chests over and over, its to have fun with the variety in play style. There’s no reason that someone who only has one character and plays the same amount of hours as I do between my alts they should get less reward. Why should I get more rares than person with a dedicated main character? They can press “1” just as good as I can. These are literally the easiest events in the game. In fact still getting a guaranteed rare is a great deal.

1. I don’t think making other world events/areas as profitable is a great idea because then you just create inflation if everyone is making tons of money. However, it would be nice to say viably farm mats. Right now if I want a stack of powerful bloods it makes no sense to farm the mats directly but farm for money and buy them. Could be wrong but if you could actually farm for mats I would have slightly less need for cof1.
2. As someone who pugs the dungeon my runs take closer to 15min instead of 6-7 min like the hardcore farming groups, so I like the length for me. Though they could lengthen the dungeon some and that would be fine with me. They could also nerf the drops from the mobs/chests to make the run less profitable yet keep it the same length. No tokens after X number of runs. I’m not too sure there is a great solution to this.
Overall I, like everyone else, expect the nerf to come and I’ll be fine with whatever happens. I just want to be able to pug the dungeon afterwards and not have to stop running the dungeon.

Great fights last night in Ebay borderlands at server reset. Yaks was relentless in trying to get garrison. Was a lot of fun defending, hoping for more good fights today.
