You thought that was hard?! try the optional Griffonrook Run legitimately, not just “run through it to the end and get the achievement”, but actually try to get the treasure.
3 minute bomb, can’t get hit by the unpredictable griffons, final destination.
The Charr mission that made me fight Ghost Cows.
i like the warrior but there are just a few things that.. i forgot.
but you just helped prove my point. 3 options. glass cannon. bruiser and tank. any mixing of the 3 will lead to death.
Well yeah, if you’re going to mix you should expect to be weaker in certain areas compared to someone who went full blown into specific ones. This is the penalty for hybridizing, so you’ll have to build yourself around the penalty.
Day one when I saw this and thought the same thing.
Me: /Map Hey guys, is there something wrong with the dungeon armor? They all look the same…
Someone Random: Nah man, just click the other tab.
Me: oh, thank you
Almost all sigils have a internal cooldown, unless stated in the sigil description I’d recommend you check the wiki’s and online item archive’s to see the CD’s.
I see a few running around here and their but from what I heard they keep their Anet icon turned off so they can roam and actually play the game instead of being mobbed by a bajillion players. Even if you don’t see them, they’re watching, somewhere.
Almost all the mmo’s I play I never see gm presence, but when I do, the chat is filled with people crying and whining about something or trying to get someone banned because they were being a big meany.
When I finish eating a healthy snack and scream out “FOR GREAT JUSTICE” in a public place.
yeah I turned off my avast for 10 minutes and the download started working again!
The grenades are really useful for deterring revivers in WvW. When in a zerg fight and you see a player fall at arms reach, just spam all your grenades at them and you’ll almost guarantee a kill unless a full mob of them revive the person at once.
You were able to do this before, but with the side effect of making the miss matched armor to race completely naked (no underwear!). This was quickly patched once it was discovered.
Well I, for one, welcome our new golem overlords.
My Charr enjoys a spot of challenge whenever I’m adventuring, it lets me practice my dodging and button presses a bit more (since I still embarrassingly click on my utility bar then actually use the keys for them). One of those Moral Victories and a reminder that I can’t just stand there and take the hits.
The loot is just the icing on the cake. The real “reward” is me getting better.
I’m pretty sure you don’t need to set off a combo to get the “remove condition” or even have the elixir orb pass through anyone.
Having kit refinement on I drop a instant super elixir all the time, but it will only get rid of 1 condition for you and for everyone else that stands in the field, gets a bunch of “Condition removed” icon spewing out of them. Though I’m not entirely sure if it’s working for those people.
@Minda. One thing I learned was never waste money (Dollars or Gems) on keys. I’m pretty much only ever going to buy the costumes (permitted we get a storage for them similar to GW1) or nothing at all for the events.
agreed, I did buy 1 key though to see what it was like, but after seeing the huge price drop of halloween skin items and all the complaining in the forums I said NO MORE and sat on my small gold pile while waiting for something nice to spend it on xD
8.5/10
It worked and it was fun, overall I think it was about pretty average or above average in the things they added.
I’ve played a lot of different mmo’s and most of them just give you a extra dungeon here and there or just try to make you buy a bunch of their Halloween themed skins.
The one BIGGEST thing I got from this event was learning how thing will play out financially in future events, figuring when the best time to buy certain things I want and when to sell my own things to reap in the most money.
Mounts in my personal view is just one of those things people will invest in to wag it around at other people who don’t have them (a.k.a Legendary Weapons)
I’m gonna reference DragonNest (a instance based MMO). That game did not need mounts at all, but for some god forsaken reason they added them in there. They could only be used in town anyways so people just pulled them out to just “Look at my shiny horse/wolf, I’ll afk in town for ya to look at it some more”
Also to note, I went on a few hours after the special cut scene was shown and the mad king will occasionally pop out again doing all the cut scene animation for you to watch, without all the fancy camera angles. I think the Halloween Asura person will run around yelling at it too.
Crystal Desert right now are in full party mode as we wait for the event to start!
If your world is having a party post some screenshots of the fun!
just ran a search using the TP as I suggested … hood started showing up at around level 39-40 and on up … enjoy.
Didn’t read OP’s post all the way through, all those hoods are Light armor.
The only other hood for Medium armor I know of, other then the Whisper order and the starter thief, is a Dungeon armor. I can’t remember which one exactly but if you spend 15 minutes previewing them you’ll find it.
I really liked the cool effect that the food gave, but now it doesnt work anymore unless you use the Omnomnom ghost. Was it intentional they got rid of it on the strawberry ghost?
Awesome! Time to run my alts around Lion’s Arch for a while XD
honestly, all that money spent on the keys could have been spent on getting gold to get the one you want. since they are not all that insanely priced, worse being the greatsaw at 28g or something, plus the favorable increase in gem to gold ratio all you’d need is about 20-30 dollars.
or less if you’re not going for either the scythe, shield, or greatsaw.
Let me rephrase then , I don’t want a coat, PERIOD. It’s ridiculous that 90% of the medium armours are coats.
Then you’ve gotten your answer about a dozen or so post ago, play a Rifle warrior all your life and you’ll never need to see a silly coat/ coatish robe on yourself. If you want the most sexy well fit armor then roll a Human Warrior since they never seem to have any issue with armor clipping and such.
wow your limiting yourself there, idk, go full range warrior sounds about what you want.
Theres a Guild Wars 2 Combat Mode mod out there that’s pretty neat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tjK5OI2oAQ
It’s not entirely perfect, but it could help you from pressing 1 a lot and change that to the mouse instead.
For me the dislikes are trivial the occasional bug here and there but are almost unnoticeable.
My biggest dislike though is my indecisiveness with the class itself, the engineer fills in so many different roles and is so flexible that you almost wish you could use EVERYTHING! The engineer will never do 1 thing extremely well, but will do them all well enough!
Because they have a vibe of trying to be serious but don’t seem to realize how hilarious they really are. Also I prefer to look as different from humans as possible.
This, so much this!
I was playing through my story and I had to get these guys to look for artifacts or something as this one Charr kept saying he was “afraid of ghost cows”. Now since these guys were shady enough already I thought he was setting me up for a ambush, but not to long after, Ghost cows attacked.
I saw a spider approach me on my desk, instant dodge roll backwards out of my chair to void the venomous bite.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that there is no boons or other effects taking place. Even with Elixir B it only feels marginally faster, what I’m describing is like a machine gun fire for maybe 5-7 shots.
Though it is to note my rifle has a 10% chance on critical to grant Quickness, but I still dont think it’ll let me shoot like a machine gun for a short period.
I’m not entirely sure if this is lag or working as intended.
But I’ve been having sudden burst of rapid fire from time to time with the rifle, so instead of “pew. . . pew. . . pew. . .” I’d get “pew. . . pewpewpewpewpew. . . pew. . .” ect.
All the shots usually hit and I haven’t seen or felt any lag whenever it occurs and its always random.
any ideas on what it might be?
I think if you click the little cog and organize it by color you can maybe find the missing ones a little bit easier by following the wiki as well!
I feel the same way op, every time I tread in the Engineer forums I feel a bit discouraged and I try to change her.
Then I forget that I built the engineer to work for me and I usually change back or modify what I’ve learned into the way I play. Even though I’m still experimenting, I’m loving my Grenadier Support build, keeps me on my toes and let me be somewhat useful!
73 Engineer, 9/10
only because some of the traits dont work the way they should or dont work at all, but I enjoy playing it greatly.
Just play all of them, sheesh. Just because people say so and so profession sucks doesn’t mean it’ll be bad for you.
Take your time to play each of them and stop asking people to hold your hand for you.
