Again, a wrongful ban on our friend. His previous tickets had responses stating that this wouldn’t happen again and it was the fault of a GM for not even bothering to check before banning the account.

We’re a bit concerned about the protocol on banning accounts.

I got my princess doll tonic on the 25th attempt. I got my toy soldier on the 5th.

It gets expensive when the forge fails you…

And… after 45 failed attempts at Golem Tonic, I’m out of cash. It’s about 3 gold to buy the two stacks of materials on the TP to try 5 times.

The mystic forge is a jerk sometimes.

My first line of binds is 1,2,3,4,5. No problem.

My second set is C,Q,E,R,T. If you can play piano quickly with that. You are a master.

Keys have dual binds. You can keep both CQERT and 67890. That’s how I could both play with my normal binds and keep the original for the bells.

I made the Plush Griffon mini before realizing I needed the frame for the tonics. Needless to say, I’m using my remaining frames for the tonics.

I would LOVE to get my hands on another Plush Griffon frame.

I’m still trying to decide if I want the mini or the tonic. The mini looks great, but running around as a plush griffon also sounds fun!

A shame we can’t get more toy frames (unless the LA versions of the dungeons will allow you to; which I doubt)

Yeah, I’m bummed. I made the mini before realizing that I need the frame to make the tonic. Guess I’m out of luck for ever getting a griffon tonic.

I will echo Tenacious Dean: My work schedule limited my ability to get to the dungeon, so I cannot finish the achievements. Are these same ones what will be available next year so it doesn’t matter if you get them now or then?

LF Friends/Casual Guild[PvX][EST]

I’d like to address a couple of your points in your well-written post:

1. Most of our members are over 30.
2. We currently have 2 couples in our guild who play regularly.
3. We realize that family always comes first and this game is an outlet for real life.
4. We do not require you say anything in Vent, but we like to see you on. Especially if we’re doing an event of some sort. Helps us coordinate, even if you’re just listening.

Here’s the more long-winded response:

Supply and Demand [SAnD], on Northern Shiverpeaks, believes each player should be picky in the guild they choose and each guild should want people that fit in. This usually produces less drama and more fun for everyone. Too many times players are not sure what they are looking for and guilds seem to only want numbers.

The guild is mostly filled with people 30+ years of age. We are looking to cap about 25-30 highly active players. The goal is to field 20-25 WvW players on most nights. Anything larger usually ends up being too chaotic.

Right now we can field about 8-10 on most nights (sometimes 15ish, but rare). We have about 20 active members and around 50 in the guild. We are working on “cleaning house” – someone who comes on the game, never joins Guild groups, never joins Vent and never types in chat is not an asset. This is important to us as it helps keep the guild personal and gives us the ability to work well together.

We are looking to fill the ranks with like-minded players. We will not invite for the sake of numbers. We are all family people so will not be on all day and every day. Most of us play “most” nights (8-midnight EST is prime time) for about 3-5 hours (some much more). We are not hardcore when it comes to quantity but certainly when it comes to quality. When we are online, we want to make the most of that time. That means staying focused and organized.

If you do not find your perfect fit and this looks like something that may be interesting, please let me know and you can give us a try.

Lifetime Survivor achievement bugged

Idneitu – I do not believe that’s how the survivor titles work in GW1. It’s the amount of XP you’ve gained since death that counts to your title and progress.

In GW1, /deaths would show you the count of your deaths AND how much XP you’ve gained since then. GW2 does not show that stat – I wish it would.

I can’t imagine the devs developed this behavior on purpose. I have not personally tested this, but it seems to be true as we see a lot of them in keeps now.

Issues with getting in dungeon instances

Server: Northern Shiverpeaks
Dungeon: Sorrow’s Embrace

3/4 through the dungeon and one party member disconnected. After logging back in, he COULD NOT get connected to our dungeon instance. Tried logging off and logging back in, tried inviting multiple times.

We finally got him in when he logged off, logged in with another character, logged off, then logged back in with his original character. Then after we invited him back to party, he was able to connect to our instance.

I will echo Odim – missing 30% of the time is close to what I experience. Terrain doesn’t seem to matter – could be wide open flat fields and I can start right next to the enemy, still whiffs.

It almost seems like the actual target is deep in the middle of the object and you have to get REALLY close to strike that portion.

Excellent write up, thank you.

Points 5 and 6 make jumping puzzles and anything in caves or indoors a pain instead of a pleasure. I find myself fighting with the camera instead of enjoying the world – I doubt that’s what ArenaNet is looking for. The camera and it’s controls should just fade away and be unnoticeable.

Also, +1 to a first person view. Why can’t we just scroll in all the way? I doubt I’d actually play from that view, but taking screenshots would be fantastic.

Press and HOLD the fire skill (I believe it’s skill #2 when you’re using the cannon). When it “powers up” it will shoot the cannonball farther. How long you hold determines how far you shoot. A lot of environmental siege equipment works like this.

Confirm this happened to me too. Sent crash report. I have older radeon cards in crossfire. From reading this thread, it seems to be character independent, gear independent, dye independent, and system hardware independent.
